Sonic Boom: When Worlds Collide

“WHOAAAAAAAAAA” Applejack looked up to notice Sonic, Rainbow Dash, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy falling to the ground.

“Oh this aint gonna be good.” She said only to swallow her own words as everyone landed feet first.

“What happen?” She asked jogging over. Tails turned around and replied, “Oh nothing, just they found a tomb, fought off a pack of robots, and got steamrolled by a 1000 year old snake…. Did I leave anything out?”

Knuckles walked forward and added, “Ya, you forgot the part where it was ALL Sonic’s fault!” Sonic frowned and stomped away. Rainbow growled and got in Knuckles face.

“HEY MAN! Sonic might of gotten us IN there, but at LEAST he tried to improve our situation! You saw how many robots there were out there! There was a high chance we wouldn’t of made it outta there!” Rainbow then turned around and ran over to Sonic who was looking at a massive door. Knuckles shook his head and turned to Amy and Tails.

“Man, if only she knew what happened a few weeks ago, then she wouldn’t be talking.” Amy sighed almost tempted to smack him upside the head with her hammer.

“Sonic, its alright.” Rainbow Dash said giving him a side hug. “I know you had good intentions man!” Sonic sighed and turned to her.

“I just wish they would stop insisting they go on these missions with me. Their my friends and I don’t want them to get hurt…” Rainbow nodded and responded, “That’s understandable. If something happened to my friends, Id stop at nothing to get back at the guy who wronged them.”

Sonic smiled. “Thanks for understanding.” He then turned back to the door and asked, “what do you think is behind this door?”

“Who knows? Hopefully more adventure hehe” Rainbow said as the group walked up behind them.

“I left everyone else over at the dig site Sonic. And everyone else has… become like us… without them touching each other.” Tails said.

Sonic turned around to face Tails. “What do you mean? Is it going air born now or something?” he asked as Tails nodded slowly. “It gets worse… Rainbow Dash, you know of a place called Sugar Cube Corner?”

“Ya… what about it?” She asked as Tails pulled out a little tablet and showed her the screen.

“Cause its currently sitting at the construction site and making the chef mad…er.”

“Then we better get over there” Sonic said as he ran over to a wall, running onto it and over a pit. Rainbow smirked and flew over.

“Now that was cool!” she said flying by him. Tails, Knuckles and Amy ran after them, using their Enerbeams to cross.

“Showoff” Knuckles muttered as he turned around to help Applejack up.

A lone figure watched as Sonic and his friends ran towards the site. “Hmmp… Do those fools honestly think they can stop Lyric? I can do a much better job than them…” he said clenching his hand listening to the robotics in his body as he moves. He suddenly looked up as he heard a sound from behind. Turning around, he spotted a young mobian unicorn standing behind him, wearing a gray skin tight jacket with black arrows on it, gold rings on her limps, white gloves with a orange arrow pointing down. Her boots looked similar to his shoes, but more lady like. She wore a black skirt with a short gray shirt and a gray collar around her neck. Finally, her fur was goldish orange, with a fiery mane and tail and light tan skin. What he noticed most was her eyes. They were pure black with her eyes blood red. “Who are you?” he asked getting into a fighting stance.

“My name… I have no name… My master has sent me to test my skill against his previous failure… Shadow the Hedgehog…” Shadow sneered standing up fully.

“Oh really now… well Mrs. No Name… I shall have you know…” Suddenly Shadow warped in front of the girl and punched her back a few feet. “That Eggman has sent you on a suicide mission.” He looked at her to make sure he didn’t harm her to badly, only to frown as he saw her get back up with barley a scratch on her. She then smirked as her horn and hands glowed.

“Then this shall be fun…” Shadow grinned as his body began to glow as well. They both then charged at each other. Shadow threw a kick at her hoping to end this soon as possible, only to blink as she warped behind him and punched him from behind. Shadow rolled over, making sure to land on his feet as he warped in front of her and punched her into the air before warping above her kicking her to the ground. Shadow warped back to the surface only to see the girl standing in the crater she made as she threw an energy beam at him. Shadow ducked before throwing his Chaos Spear at her. However, she caught it mere moments before it hit her face and crushed it in her hand. Shadow yelled as his entire body started glowing red as he clenched his fists.

“CHAOS BLAST!” he yelled as a massive explosion came out of him, whipping out everything around him. Shadow began panting from the energy explosion and looked up. He frowned as he saw the girl still standing there, with a few scraps, but otherwise unhurt. “Impossible…” He said as the girl suddenly fell to her hands and knees before clutching her head in pain.

“Ughh… Pl-Please! Help… Me!” she screamed at him. Shadow walked over as she opened her eyes at him. He saw that they had changed to white with light green eyes.

“Who are you? Why are you with Eggman?”

She asked, “Eggman? You mean that guy that kidnapped me from my world?” Shadow clenched his hand and replied, “That sounds like him…” She slowly stood up and looked around. None of this looked familiar to her one bit. She then turned to the one who freed her and took into account that he wasn’t human, but a hedgehog with black fur and red stripes.

“What… are you?” she asked. “I am Shadow the Hedgehog… The Ultimate Lifeform. You are?” he asked again. She got ready to reply only to grab at her collar in pain. Shadow saw as the collar began to tighten as her eyes slowly went back to being controlled.

“Please! Help me!” She pleaded. Shadow warped around and got ready to smash the collar only for her to spin around and punch him. As he got back up, she shouted as her body began to glow to warp. “My Name… Is Sunset Shimmer!” She then warped away leaving Shadow confused.

Sonic jogged up to the new building and walked inside with Rainbow Dash. “So this is from your world?” he asked as he saw ponies who recently turned into mobians were freaking out.

“Ya, but not as chaotic…” she said hoping Discord wouldn’t pop out of nowhere. She walked forward to see Mr. and Mrs. Cake trying to take orders not being used to being on two legs and having hands.

“Everything alright?” she asked as Mrs. Cake looked up.

“Oh Rainbow Dash, its just terrible! A few minutes ago, everything was normal, than BAM! Were in the middle of nowhere with giant animals walking and talking like us, and before long, we became like them with no warning whatsoever!” she said as she held onto one of her babies.

Sonic stepped forward. “If this appeared all the way out here… What else from your world came?” he asked as Mr. Cake ran at him with a broom.

“Not another one! Stay out!” he yelled as Sonic side stepped out of the way.

“Relax Mr. Cake. Hes with me… Wait, why are you trying to make him leave?” Rainbow asked as Mr. Cake turned to face her.

“Well… Just look at them!” He said as she grabbed the broom out of his hands and retorted.

“Them? Look at YOU! You’re the one chasing people out of your store cause they look different… even though we all now look like them!” Sonic shook his head and walked back outside to let her sort it out.

“Maybe we should talk with Cliff.” Amy said as they made their way down a pit. They soon spotted Cliff talking with the Princess’s.

“So your entire world is populated by just ponies? Huh… I believe I once read about ponies existing in our world back in the time of the Ancients…” he then heard Amy shout at him.

“Cliff! Thank Goodness we found you!” Cliff turned around and raised his hat at her.

“I didn’t know I was missing hehe.” Amy rolled her eyes at the bad joke and asked, “You know anything about an ancient tomb with a snake in it?”

Cliff scratched his beard in thought and replied, “Cant say I do… OH but I do know of an ancient prison with a snake in it!”

Amy frowned and responded, “Well why don’t ya tell us about that one?” Cliff nodded and turned towards one of his books.

“The snake was named Lyric, and he was one of the Ancients themselves. However he betrayed his brothers and sisters after he made a massive discovery which led to our world going into a dimensional flux that caused half of the planet to be lost in another dimension. Thank goodness hes trapped for all eternity, or both halves of our world would be in total danger.” Sonic rubbed the back of his head as a nervous smile appeared on his face.

“Yeah, well… you see… we… kinda let him lose…” Everyone around the gang stopped what they were doing and looked at them, jaws dropping. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy all tilted their heads to the left in confusion as Cliff slowly facepalmed.

Rainbow walked out of Sugarcube Corner sighing. She walked down to the pit only to hear someone say “Not cool Sonic”. Rainbow grinded her teeth in frustration.

She thought to herself ‘Just how many times are they gonna pick on that guy… wait… why do I care about some guy from another world?’ She looked over at Sonic standing there listening to some hedgehog in a Stetson and glasses talking. ‘I guess hes kinda cool, almost as cool as me… I know hes as fast as me. Ive never seen someone move that fast on their feet…’ She then noticed she was blushing and shook her head to hide it. ‘Get it together Dash. Your to awesome to like someone like that.’ She sighed and ran over to the group.

“Not Cool Sonic” Cliff said. Sonic frowned noticing outta the corner of his eye Tails, Knuckles and Amy giving him “The Look”.

Sonic thought to himself ‘Why are you blaming just me? They helped set him free! I even said “we” not “I”… Wheres Rainbow Dash to back me up when I need it… wait… why does she back me up?’ Sonic looked at Cliff as he was going on about how Lyric was gonna collect some type of crystal from both halves of the world or something. ‘I guess maybe she sees some of her in me… I know I see some of me in her… Its almost like looking in a mirror. Shame when this is all over their world will most likely leave ours… Id really like to get to know her more after this…’ Sonic then heard footsteps behind him and turned to see Rainbow Dash skidding to a stop by them.

“Good timing! Cliff was just telling us Lyric’s evil plot to destroy us and conquer both our worlds.” Cliff nodded and pointed up the pit.

“Up there youll find a cave. In there should be the first of the Chaos Crystals. Find it and return to me.” Everyone nodded and ran up the pathway. Princess Luna stepped forward and spoke to Cliff, “Let us hope they can find these crystals before this Lyric does.”
