The next few weeks are uneventful but tomorrow is Nightmare Night or this world's version of Halloween.

"Brandon! You still haven't chosen a costume." Oh, I forgot. Rarity won't leave me the fuck alone so at this point I might just go out in ODST CQB armor. ( Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Close Quarters Battle Armor)

"Fine, I'll go all out." At least I brought the armor with me. The Master Chief had a set issued from Misriah Armory. Apparently there is still a link between worlds but he had to fake his identity because he refuses to go back. I don't bother him about it because I don't think you'd want to piss off a 7 foot tall battle hardened super soldier. Anyhow that's irrelevant right now. "But it's not a costume. It's something else and you'll be surprised." I say, hoping she hasn't guessed. Well I don't know why I would worry about that. Even if she Rarity did know what it was she couldn't guess where it is.

"And how would you do that darling?" I just shake my head and leave the boutique. There is an escort carriage waiting for me outside.

After I get on the carriage it takes off and the ride goes uneventful like all other carriage rides.

"Brandon, my handsome little colt. We've been waiting for you!" Luna says as she and her sister walk towards me. I jump out of the carriage like a badass and meet them mid in a hug. They hug me a lot harder than I expected them to.

"*cough* Air! *hack*"

"Oops..." After they release me I see that Celestia blushes her coat crimson while Luna's face turns purple. Well that's good to know.

"Suffocation from hugs should be illegal." I warn, making them blush even harder. Yeah because it's not every day you make your parents blush like this.

"Ok. Moving on. Are you excited for Nightmare Night?" Celestia asks. I just shrug. "Do you have your costume?"

"Yeah but its actually not a costume."

"I swear if you-"

"I'm going to wear that armor if I have to get sent to the moon." Celestia gasps at this and Luna gives me the stink eye. "Sorry but it fits my personality." Luna just shakes her head and sighs.  "I swear I will have the weapon unloaded. I promise." I do the motions for a pinkie promise.

"You better. It's unbecoming of royalty to be armed for no reason." Celestia says matter-of-factly. After we're done standing around doing nothing the guards stationed at the doors motion for us to enter.

As we pass through the hallways I contemplate how I think the citizens of Ponyville will react to a fully armed (Possibly) soldier.

"Do you think I'll cause a scene like this?" I ask curiously, secretly dreading the answer.

"Yes." They say simultaneously.

"Wow, have you ever heard of sugar coating? Yeah it's that thing that makes it so you aren't being a dick." I say unhappily. They gasp at this, leaving me to face their glares...

{What I actually said}

"Oh ok, right in the feels." I reply in mock-hurt.

"You'll be okay. You've just been on the internet too much." Oh yeah... Of course they'd know about the internet. We're almost to the throne room by now. I'm pretty sure every one of you knows what that looks like so I won't bother going into details.

"NO! Don't spoil the internet! They're listening!" I tilt my head side to side really fast to make sure we aren't being spied on. Coast's clear. This is met with the world's biggest facepa- er facehoof.

"So, how do you plan on getting to Ponyville tomorrow?" Celestia asks of me. "I know for a fact you will refuse the royal chariot no matter what." She adds.

"I haven't thought about it much. Maybe I'll just walk." I jest.

"No. You'll pass out." Luna argues.

"See? This is why we can't have nice things. Luna doesn't understand them."

(What is really said)

"I'll just teleport. Oh. I just remembered something that has been bothering me for the longest time." I say out of the blue.

"What?" Here it comes.

"Why did you just adopt me. Is it because I'm an alicorn?"

"Fine, I'll bother you about that later." I add as I walk out of the hallways and into the side entrance nearest to the throne room. It's the one that takes me to my chambers.

"What if he finds out?" I ask my sister.

"Then we'll have to tell him everything." Luna replies.

"But it won't come to that will it?" I stomp a hoof in irritation.

"Why are you so keen on hiding this from him?" She asks in bewilderment

"Because he'll go on a rampage."

"Sister, why must you always have a good point?"

"Because I think."

"But I sensed a disturbance with the same magical level as me..." Luna shudders saying this.

"It is possible the Elements of Harmony did not merely make you innocent... Evidence supports that they may have split you. Keep an eye out." Celestia warns her.

"Yes sister."

On my way to ponyville via no-clipping (Why not? Pinkie can do it.) I think I may have gotten lost a few times but whatever. I ended up teleporting there and right in front of a strangely familiar alicorn with a mane that reminds me of candy. "Do I know you from somewhere?"

"Yes." She says before lighting up her horn and touching my forehead before I can react.

I appear in a room that looks like a nursery. "Where are we?" I ask as the mysterious alicorn appears next to me.

"It saddens me that your memories were lost so easily. Then again..." She pauses and points her hoof at... me?

"Why is Dream right next to me?"

"You don't know... Do you?"

"Stop pausing and tell me already!" I demand.

"Dream is your sister."

"No... And why are we alicorns?!"

"You still don't get it do you? YOU WERE BORN THIS WAY!" She tries to hold back her tears at my ignorance. I guess I should have been more observant.

I stand still long enough to realize that a younger version of the alicorn standing in front of me enters the same room and nuzzles the foal Dream. After a while the foal me got restless and jumped in her hooves.

"Wait a minute... Are you? But... Then it isn't Celestia or Luna?" Shit, shouldn't have said that.

"NO! Err, I mean no... Don't you get it? I'm your mother." A little blunt my dear, don't you think?

"My life could not have gotten more awkward." I say, trying to fix the mood. Welp I just made it worse.

"HAHAHAHAHA! I can't! This is too much... My life is a lie!" I roll over on the floor from my sides hurting.

"That's not funny at all..." She deadpans. Thinking this over for a second I get back up from the floor.

"So, Mi Amore Cadenza, what now?" Cadence flinches at this and looks at me like I kicked a puppy. I fail to release that the scene is over and just keep teasing.

"Oh, so you won't even call my mom?" She asks as I advance on her. I keep advancing until I am face to muzzle with her.

"It's okay, I didn't call Celestia or Luna it when they asked." I see the fury in her eyes but ignore it for now as it dies down ever so slowly. And then everything fades. This type of fading though, isn't me losing consciousness. Oh no, I'm just waking up to release the reality of the fact that my life is going to change drastically. This will not end well.
