Chapter 12: Running away

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Seeing as it took a long time to finally have a reunion with my really family I think this further complicates things. If Twilight Sparkle is Shining Armor's little sister which makes her like my aunt since he is my father. And then we have the fact that Dream is actually my big sister. I really don't know what to do right now. I'm so lost...

"You need to get over it... I'm still going to take care of you! I don't care if this is taboo. You are mine." Dream insists as she wraps her hooves around me. Fuck. This could not possibly get any more than it already is... Why don't you try recovering after finding out your life is a lie, your two loves are actually your aunt and sister! "You need to stop thinking about it. It didn't stop us before!" She exclaims.

"Because I didn't know!" I retort. She sighs and finally says.

"I did..."

"WHAT THE FUCK?!" I scream. I do not realize the power of my scream until I see Dream covering her ears with her hooves.

"I knew because... You were sent to Earth when you were less than 2 years old and I had to come with you as I was 4. But I was no ordinary 4 year old... I knew what you had to go through. Mom didn't know that you were sent there. I did. And because of that I sent myself there to help you live your life and return to Equestria but I fell in love with you! Don't you see? This is our destiny!" She says the last part in a sing-song tone that pisses me off.

"Nein, dummkopf sie." (No, you fool.) I retort.

"Well that sucks because we are actually legally in a herd. An unbreakable herd by the way. Only the alpha mare which is me can allow you to leave." Dream says briskly.

"No!" I yell before pulling out my service pistol and unloading a round right next to her. Just your ordinary Walther PPK. Anyways, Dream cowers as she hears this and I walk out of... wherever I am. The last thing I remember was waking up here and confronting her. I'm so stressed that I don't even notice Cadence running into the room until she looks at me. I back away fast. Realizing I'm cornered, I look for an escape. "All you care about is sex and love! You don't give two fucks about me..."

Deciding it's a good idea to approach me, Cadence moves forward. I sidestep for each step forward she takes until she stops. "Calm down. That isn't true!"

"Like fucking hell it isn't!" I fire a few warning shots near her stopping her in her tracks. Taking this as a distraction, I run through some random halls in hopes of freedom. "I think I know where to go..." I mumble to myself.

Strangely the halls are devoid of servants unlike what you'd expect in a high end place such as this. It's quiet... Too fucking quiet. Coming across an unusual feature in a normally empty room I hit it revealing a portal. "Where the fuck does this lead?" Testing fate, I shoot it which only serves to cause noise. "Ah, fuck it." I jump through, making sure nobody is following me before I enter.

Perspective: Princess Mi Amore Cadenza

Usually I wake up everyday grateful for what a good life I have. But now the one time I'm able to get my own family back together, it falls apart upon the realization of the truth of how much this family loves each other. I think I made a mistake. But that doesn't mean I will let my son get away.

Following the sound of gunshots I come across a corridor that takes me to a familiar storage room. Only this time it has something very wrong with it. Why the buck is that portal open? I thought I told the guards to... Oh buck.

The one time I find something convenient... Here I am taking into account that not everything is as it seems. What the fuck am I doing in a courtyard? Out of nowhere I see a pelican crash into the courtyard, throwing debris everywhere as very familiar people climb out of it. Doing the only sensible thing, I faint.

...

...

...

"Wake up!" Dazed, stunned, I come to. Thinking that everything was a dream until I see Johnson looking at me irritated. "Son, you just gonna stare at me or what?"

"No sergeant." I comply and get up. "How long was I out?"

"15 seconds." A marine next to me says. *Gunfire* *Explosion*

"Grunts! They had balls *static* coming to Earth." Another marine says, presumably a corporal by the insignia as she comes over to me and inspects my armor. "Where's the rest of your squad?" He says as Johnson kills the grunts with ease acquired from all those years in the wars he fought.

"I'm not from the UNSC..." Shit I shouldn't have said that... Big mistake. I back off as he gets a closer look at me.

"You don't look like an insurrectionist. Where did you get that armor?" Cortana demands in her usual voice.

"Look, we don't have time for this! We need to get the covenant out of here!" I say with certainty. Good thing they didn't question it. Will need the help.

Dead grunts and elites pile all over the ground as I try to find a way out of this war. I don't want to be here with the very real possibility of dying. I may be immortal but I'm not invincible!

In the distance I hear gunfire going off as well as plasma fire. Before I have time to react, an explosion rocks me from the ground sending me to near unconsciousness but I hold on.

"We don't have time for this! Get back in the marine!" Johnson orders with a steely gaze.

I dust myself off and look around. I see two hunters break through a gate situated 90 degrees to the right of my position. I immediately seek shelter and come across a marine who seems to have a spare assault rifle. "Can I borrow that AR?" I ask. She nods silently before handing me it. I grip it firmly and run off for an extra weapon so that I can hold my own. I come across a set of stairs and run up them with two possible entrances. One on the right and one on the left but the right one you have to go across a little path. I take the left and happen upon a dead marine with a SR99AM sniper rifle and 4 magazines. Is it my birthday already?

"Get up here!" I turn around to see the marine who previously lent me her rifle. I look at her insignia and note that she's a Staff Sergeant. I can see this by the chevron's arrangement so I immediately cooperate.

"Yes?" I question as I get to what they are looking at.

"A pelican is coming around to pick up the Sergeant Major and you're going with him. Am I clear?"

"Yes Sergeant."

"Good, you know what to do! Get going, the corps ain't paying us by the hour." I jump off the rooftops I occupied, rolling as soon as I hit the ground.

One of the surviving marines walks towards me with a questioning glance. "Sit rep?"

"Huh?"

"Situation report."

"Two dead hunters, thirty seven buggers dead, the rest is history." He nods and I walk off towards the collapsed gates where the Master Chief is waiting. "Damn, he's taller than I thought!" I say. He salutes me as soon as he sees me. I give him a questioning look.

"Your IFF transponder validates you as the rank of First Lieutenant." Cortana states before the Master Chief starts walking towards the pelican drop site.

...

...

Then why weren't the others saluting me? Welp, going to have to ask them about then when I'm brought to O.N.I or wherever they are taking me. Must have been the friend or foe tags though.

As soon as we pass the destroyed gates we take a right and then a left, coming into view with enemy resistances and jackal snipers set up on top of buildings with beam rifles. (Technical name: Type-50 Sniper Rifle System if you are a hardcore halo fan.)

A pelican comes into view as soon as the jackal snipers are taken out. Johnson steps onto the pelican with a marine on the gun while the Master Chief and a few other marines continue onward. Damn, I wish I could've stayed to fight.

"We don't have all day. I need you on here now!" Sergeant Major Avery Junior Johnson orders. I oblige and step onto the pelican before taking a seat.

"Get comfortable, this is going to be a long ride." The pilot says.
