Tales of Dark Eater

Dark Eater froze. He didn't know what to say to her. He knew he inadvertently killed to future self of the pony who found him, Fluttershy. 'Great,' he thought, 'How am I going to get out of this one...'

“Are you alright?” she asked with a concerned face.

“.....” Dark Eater did not know what to say.

“Oh my, um, I'm Fluttershy, what's your name?”

“.....I'm Blank Alternative.” lied Dark Eater.

“Hmmm..that's a nice name. So why did you collapse outside of town?”

“...I don't want to talk about it.”

“Are you sure? Well I've asked Nurse Redheart to come by and check up on you later.”

“Um, okay, could I just rest a little more please?”

“Oh, sure, but don't you want something to eat?”

“Um, sure.”

Fluttershy gave him a plate with a salad. Dark Eater then began to eat the food very quickly.

“My, you sure were hungry.”

Fluttershy then turned around why Dark Eater was almost done with eating. Dark Eater completely finished and then stretched his legs. He saw she was talking to some bunnies outside her door, and he saw this as his moment to run. He quickly turned to the nearest window and quickly opened it and jumped out. He knew he had to leave immediately. He quickly looked around, making sure no one is following him. He couldn't face her, especially after the conversation he had with Luna. He quickly ran to the Everfree Forest and hid. Dark Eater sat there for a moment, pondering on what he had to do. His plan for finding power had failed, in fact, he was wondering if power was worth it. He sat there thinking and thinking. He knew if Celestia was eliminated, the balance of Equestria would be threatened. However, she was the biggest threat to his home world. But, he knew that Twilight now had the mirror and she's an alicorn, making her immortal. That means Celestia won't influence the human world while Twilight is around. He knows Twilight would not disrupt the balance. She's needed to basically restore the balance, such as when Sunset Shimmer went wild. In other words, everything is now pointless....just what could he do now? Dark Eater then pulled the gem he hid inside his mouth to turn his body back to normal. He sat there looking at the gem. His horn than began glowing and the gem broke, turning him back to normal. He looked at his form now and just sat there.

“Ugh, now what do I do? I don't have a purpose or a goal.....nothing....”

He then heard a bunch of hoofsteps. He looked around and saw several ponies looking around including Fluttershy. He looked around for a place to hide and then decided to just give up. He then walked out in front of the ponies. The Mane Six were there as well.

“Everypony run!” yelled Twilight.

Most of the other ponies ran as the Mane Six just stayed there, glaring at Dark Eater.

“I'm not going fight you all.”

“You better!” yelled Rainbow Dash.

“....”

“Dark Eater! Where is Blank Alternative? I know he ran off in this direction!” yelled Fluttershy.

“.....You're looking right at him.”

“What?”

“Tell her Applejack, I'm not lying.”

“....He's not lying sugarcube.”

“No way.”

“It was very different type of spell, don't worry about it.”

“Why are you here?”

“.....I, well, I'm not exactly sure right now.”

“What do you mean?”

“Yeah, aren't you evil and about to do evil things?!” asked Rainbow Dash.

“....No, I'm done doing that, or to be more specific, I don't see the point of doing such things right now.”

The Mane Six looked at each other, surprised.

Fluttershy then spoke up, “Why were disguised as a filly?”

“Um, its a long story.... I don't want to talk about it...look Fluttershy, I need to tell you something.”

“What?”

“I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what I did, causing the death of your future self and tricking you with that filly form.”

The Mane Six looked surprised at him.

“I'm, um, sorry for what I have done. I know that I was destined to horrible things in the future. I know I brainwashed Sunset and I planned to destroy Celestia. But I realized that I would never accomplish such things.”

“You think that forgives what you have done?!” remarked Twilight.

“.....That's true.”

“Twilight stop.” asked Fluttershy.

“But Fluttershy...”

“No, that's enough.”

“.....”

“Look, Dark Eater. I understand what you mean. I understand what you are trying to do.” said Fluttershy.

“What do you mean?”

“Dark Eater, I once became a pony filled with anger. I started treating my friends horribly because I was taught by someone who thought it was good to be mean.”

“....”

“I met your father in the dungeon in Canterlot.”

“Don't talk about him in front of me...”

“I have too, Your father, he was nothing but a ball of anger and malice. When I see you, you are trying whatever you can to not become him.”

“I'm nothing like him!” said Dark Eater shivering.

“You are and you're not Dark Eater. I can see you are trying every way to not become him.”

“....Thanks.”

“Let me help you, Dark Eater.”

“Fluttershy!” yelled the other Mane Six.

Dark Eater just stood there, unable to move. No one was ever kind to him, yet living kindness stood before him.

“Thank you but no Fluttershy.”

“Why?”

“I'm leaving.”

“Where are you going to go?”

“Somewhere beyond Equestria. Thanks to what you said, I'm going to keep traveling. I need to leave this land before Celestia and her disgusting ways capture me and imprison me in her dungeon.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah.”

Then Dark Eater's horn glowed brightly and then a smokescreen happened as Dark Eater ran away. He left Ponyville as fast as possible and went lands unknown. He knew staying in Equestria was not worth it anyway. He left and never meant to return. Though one day he might....
