Chapters Destition: Approx.100000 miles from and heading towards Canterlot.

Objective: Protect future Head Princess as she makes her speech, regarding the assassination of Celestia, Luna's decline, and her accession.
Spike, new leading commander with Celestia's chosen crew, before she passed away from an unknown accomplice, sat next to the Future Head Princess, Celestia's star student, Youngest Immortal, His objective to protect, and, above all, his older step sister that gave him a home. For most of his life, he used to walk around freely with the lack of clothing when he was young, letting the scales & spines all over his back, his claws scratching the surface of the floor, and not feeling a single burden on him. However, that was nearly ten years ago, back when he was only considered a 'Baby Draco', and not what he is today.
His suit, unlike all the other security, stood out: the color around his whole body was purple; a color he specifically chose as a way to remember Twilight; with green shoulder pads, knee pads, elbow pads, a stripe on his back; where his green, matching spines stood out, giving him some breathing space in his back area; and across his chest area from the waist to his neck. He also had on purple matching, military grade, fingerless gloves to allow his claws stick out more easily &, for a better reason, couldn't fit in regal gloves without them being shredded to a million pieces and had on a white belt around his waist area, holding his pistol, assault rifle, medicine, grenades, and deployable shields. His helmet was designed to look a bit like a dragon, the mythical beast his species were named after: it was the same color as his suit, including the visor & 'Mowhawk' being green as the rest (though the visor was tinted a bit darker), and, painted on it, was white grin that had rows of triangular shaped teeth, most likely as a way to scare enemies away. Wearing a suit didn't feel so natural to him: it felt as if something was clinging on to him for life, never letting go, but he didn't want to complain about it: Celestia designed this for him before she was killed, and she was Twilight's teacher & mother figure, making her a bit of a mother to him. The ride to Canterlot felt forever, and Spike took off his helmet: with the exception of his two small duds of teeth that stuck out all the time, and seeing his scaly body, especially around the neck area, most citizens would believe him as one of them, with a pretty light skin, a somewhat untamed green hair style that made him look like an 'anime character's', and green eyes that, when in danger or in dark areas, the iris would become catlike.
Twilight, next to him, had on her coronation dress from when she became an Immortal from that day, complete with it being pink, fading into white at the very it she bottom area, and yellow trims around her neck, sleeves, and in between the pink & white areas all around her. She had on, underneath it all, had the same space she wore all the time since she was only a little girl, growing as she did, never needing to be replaced. Her violet eyes, followed by her Sapphire Blue hair with a rose streak and another streak that matched her eyes, along with her light gray mulberry wings, made her look like an elegant creature, shadowing his own, though not fully, hideous features. She also had on her Tiara, shaped as a star with a red gem inside, along with golden slippers and gloves with gold weaved into it to give more of an elegant look. The two sat next to each other, not sure what to say after not seeing each other for up to two years. Despite having a lot of security around, and they sat next to each other for nearly an hour, they both haven't spoke to each other.
"So..." Twilight spoke, breaking the silence. Spike turned his head to see his sister's face, who looked back at him. "How... is it being the first Draco commander?"
"...First and youngest commander." Spike corrected "I feel honored, actually."
"Oh... you know, I never thought we'd be seeing each other like this."
"Neither did I."
"Do... you have any idea who could've done it?"
"I have no clue."
"Oh." They went back to their silence state.
"If... it makes you feel better, I will gladly use whatever you give me to find this perpetrator."
"I... don't think that will work."
"...perhaps you're right." They stayed silent again.
"I miss Celestia already."
"Yeah, me too."
"How was she yesterday?"
"She... was just as beautiful as the day I was hatched, and being just as kind as the last time you contacted her."
"That's... good to know." She leaned her head and placed it on Spike's shoulder. He shivered a bit, not wanting to ruin her look for her speech, but also heard her sniffle. He looked down and saw his sister letting out a few tears. Carefully, with his claw, he wiped a tear from her eye.
"Twilight, is there something wrong?"
"Oh Spike, how am I going to lead the galaxy as the new head princess??? I was barely able to lead Ponyville, but this is a huge Burden on me!!! Why did Luna not become head princess!?!?!?"
"...perhaps it's what Celestia would've wanted."
"What... do you mean?"
"Ever since you hatched me and went on all our crazy adventures together, Celestia saw a lot of potential in you, and perhaps she knew this would happen, so she needed an heir to the throne."
"You... really think so? Then why did't she have a child then?"
"... There's many reasons I can think of: Perhaps she couldn't find someone who just wanted the power; Maybe if she had children, the wouldn't be Immortals like her; or, more likely though, she's infertile. It doesn't take much of a genius to see that she looks at you as if you were her daughter, Twi." She sniffed a bit and let out a calm smile.
"Thanks Spike, that... makes it a bit better. Any idea what I should say during the speech?"
"Just... say what you need to say: I'll be next to you, acting as both security and morale support."
"Wow! That's just... thanks Spike, for everything!!!" She opened her arms and gave a warm hug towards the Draco. Spike blushed a bit, resisting the urge to push her away.
"Twilight, stop, I'm on duty."
"You're still my little brother, even if you were adopted and on patrol." She released him "I'm feeling much better now! We should change the topic: your choice!"
"Oh... well... how are your friends doing?"
"The girls, well-"
"We will be landing in T-Minus 5 minutes. Prepare for landing. " The pilot spoke to them.
"I'm sorry," Spike said, getting up to leave the room "We'll discuss about this later. Remember: keep calm, look at the crowd, take deep breaths, and don't stutter."
"What if something bad happens?"
"Nothing should go wrong, and if something does... leave that me and the boys." Spike left and headed towards the front door, where a familiar angel with orange wings, matching his orange space grade suit, stood with, over it, near golden armor with his blue hair flowing a bit, stood.
"So," he spoke with confidence in his tone "think I have a chance with your sister?" Spike turned towards the Angel and growled a bit, causing the Angel to lose his smirk and stand in attention
"Not right now." Spike replied, going back to the opening hatch of the ship they were in. He, and all the other soldiers, stood in place as the ship landed slowly, safety, and gently as it could. The muffling of a huge crowd was outside, waiting for Twilight Sparkle to exit. The door to the room Spike left opened, and Twilight, being as elegant as possible, strolled to the opening entrance of their ship. She took a deep breath and covered her eyes, as the light outside shined inside, followed by a huge roar op citizens from nearly every part of the galaxy, cheering for her to some out. She took her steps outside, and Spike followed, having his right hand on his belt, carrying his weapons.
The crowd around them roared as the two exited the ship. A red carpet on shiny floor was rolled towards the entrance of the Castle, which had snipers patrolling on duty. A straight row of guards stood between the crowd and them, each turning at the same time when the two passed, giving a salute to them. Twilight couldn't help but smile and wave to the crowd, making them cheer even louder as they went inside the castle. Even Spike, who matured a lot since his old adventures with Twilight and her friends, couldn't help but smirk at the feeling of being cheered; it reminded himself a lot when, as a young Draco, he saved the Crystal Empire from the Hologram of the self-proclaimed King, Sombra, and how it's citizens look at him like an idol.
They entered inside, as a much more calmer crowd of citizens stood, mostly news reporters, videographers, and photographers, taking various pictures of the two, and news reporters telling what is happening as the two approached to Princess Luna, as she was having an interview with a human reporter and an Angel cameraman. Everyone could that it was her, for nearly towering everyone inside, and her super pale skin, looking almost pure white as the skin could allow it. She had on a Dark Blue suit that, despite being a princess, looked very militaristic, with it's long black gloves reaching up to her elbows with matching boots to her knees, a white middle where her buttons were at, compete with a belt that strapped around her waist, as it had on, a white crescent moon in the middle. It also had on a black cape, covering her dark blue wings that, if looked below, the tips dragged on the floor, also making a broom swift if nothing was heard. Her black, three headed triangle tiara lied on her head, which, was Saphire blue, had a persian blue aura around it, as it moved on its own like her sister's, and, when looking closer, seemed to have stars in it, scattered around, almost as if her hair was a galaxy in its own.
"Now tell us," the human reporter asked "why did you not take the main throne? From what we've heard, you really wanted to be in the main throne, taking all of the attention from your sister."
"Two reasons," Luna replied "1) That was the old me. She was just power hungry and wanted more attention, borderline insane, if you ask me. I now view that I must be responsible and rewards will come in the most strangest way. 2) Why didn't I take the throne? Well... I believe my sister would've done it, even if she were alive."
"Does that make you angry?"
"...No. I feel Twilight is a great leader, a better one I if say so myself."
"Any hopes in the future?"
"Yes: Twilight lives to be a great leader and, if possible, I don't regret my decision." the human turned to his cameraman
"There you have it folks! Our interview with Princess Luna!!! Back to you, this is Channel 88 news!!!" The cameramen reman lowered his camera and took a deep breath. Without a word, the two left, leaving Twilight and Luna alone.
"Princess Luna!!!" Twilight cheered. Luna turned and noticed the small Immortal walking towards her, lifting her skirt for some extra speed.
"Ah! Twilight Sparkle and Spike! How long has it been since we saw each other?"
"At least two months." Spike answered
"For you and me, at least."
"He knows," Twilight responded "with us, I don't know, half an earth year?"
"Yes... it has been. Tell us, do you have our speech planned out?"
"Yes Princess, I do."
"Good! I don't want to go through another interview that makes me have to hold back thy tears." Twilight began to walk towards the podium, looking outside to it's citizens outside, covered by a large red cover.
"Were... those things you said true?"
"Pardon?"
"Do you... really think I would make a great leader?"
"...it's not really me that decided that, but I am very certain that my sister does believe that you would be her heir to the throne."
"Do... you miss her?"
"...Yes. We may not have been eye to eye with everything, and we may not have been the best of friends to each other, but w- I felt that, though she was my opposite, she was an opposite I loved with all of my heart. You, Twilight, are almost like the daughter she never could have, and I will follow her, to now, I follow you, Princess." Luna took a bow to Twilight. Twilight bowed back to her and turned to the covered podium.
"Remember," Spike said, putting a comforting claw on her shoulder "I will be here for you." Twilight smiled a bit, took a deep breath, and the two went outside to the podium. Almost everyone on this planet was outside, looking like ants at the height of the podium they were on, cheering for their new princess as she exited, walking towards the microphone. A couple of Angels flew near them, having cameras on her, recording her every action as, families, individuals, & communities on other plants gathered around their television, phones, and computers, also watching her live. She tapped on the microphone, hearing the soft booming around her. She cleared her throat.
"Attention everyone," she spoke. A loud cheer stopped her a bit, laying for a good few seconds before sit stopped. "Attention Everyone: as all of you know, Princess Celestia has passed away, and Luna, with her power & sheer will, has made me the new head princess of our beloved Galactic Empire. Reports have been shown that, in her body, a certain venom was injected into her as she was sleeping, a venom created by a Basilisk, venom that, with a single ounce, can kill up to 100 of our people. No force was shown though, so it is most likely, that Celestia was assassinated during her sleep. Whoever did it, showed professionalism in it, so I, as head princess, will start an inquisition and I will not stop until he or she is captured and given justice!!! When that is over, we will thrive as we did with Celestia. May her soul rest in peace, and may we, one day, find harmony with all creatures across the-" before she could finish a loud screeching noise was heard, causing not just her, Spike & everyone in the castle to fall over in pain, but everyone around their area as well. A Spaceship entered, flying above the castle and, on it, was a large T.V. projection, showing a figure in a black hood, covering his or her identity.
"An Inquisition?" The figure asked in a robotic voice, most likely protecting more of it's identity. "Why Princess, why should you have an Inquisition when I'm here? There's no need for that! Would Celestia do that if I to do what I did to her to you?" Twilight's eyes opened with fear: Celestia's assassin was right above their heads, inside a large spaceship!!! She got up and grabbed the microphone.
"LISTEN HERE!!! I will have you answer to me on why you did this and-"
"Oh no, I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I won't be answering to you. On the contrary, you'll have to answer to me. Do your thing, King Sombra."
"King Sombra!?!?!?" Spike asked as he got up. He pulled out his assault rifle and looked at the way they entered: shadow like figures began to sprint towards their area, each looking like random human, mage, or angel, but also having yellow eyes. "GET DOWN!!!" Spike began to fire at the shadows charging at them, seeing them disappear in a single shot. Twilight ducked behind her younger brother and guardian, surprised to see how more calm he was than when he was when he 'battled' King Sombra. A large scream was heard, and she looked down from the podium: a swarm of those shadow things were climbing on top of each other, quickly reaching to the top of their podium.
"SPIKE!!!" Twilight yelled "THEY'RE CLIMBING UP HERE!!!" Spike looked down and saw the horde climbing up to them.
"COME ON!!! WE GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!!!" Spike grabbed Twilight by her arm and began to run inside the castle!!! They saw a bunch of the guards standing their ground, as humans fired at them & pointing out where more were coming from, Mages using their telekinesis & other mental abilities to slow down the shadows, and the Angels, using force fields, physically pushing back the shadows &, all together, releasing a gust of wind that blew the shadows back a couple of inches. A shadow was able to make it past the guards and headed towards the two! Though Spike could've easily shot it down, he felt the burning from his assault rife; it overheated as he shot down that first wave that approached them. A streak of white came, and the shadow disappeared before it even laid it's 'hands' on them. In front of them, Luna appeared, holding a sword made from plasma, glowing a blue similar to her suit right now, and, on it's hilts, had wings that, despite it being black around, made it look majestic in a way. He wings unfolded, as her cape was now gone, and, with her free hand, had a lighter blue aura around it.
"Twilight," Luna yelled "Are you alright!?!?!?"
"Yes!" Twilight replied "What about you?"
"Don't worry about me: You and Spike have got to get out of here!!!"
"We can't just leave you here!!!"
"Don't worry," Spike said "This isn't the first time she's been attacked in her own castle!!!"
"Yes," Luna agreed, slicing at another shadow that made it was past the wall of soldiers "we can deal with them!!! Head to the docking area, find your ship and get out of here!!! Use your mind if you have to, Twilight!!!" The podium started to crawl with Shadows, entering and spraining towards them!!! Twilight's hands glowed a raspberry color, she put them together, and a huge force came, knocking all the shadows out of their area, back outside, and fell from the podium to the ground outside. Spike grabbed onto her stepsister again and the two began to run down to the docking area, repeating the same steps they took, just in reverse!!! The shadows began to crawl out from the podium and into the room they were in. The guards turned their attention to the swarm that was entering, turned their attention, and began to fire at the horde entering. Luna's wings flared and she flew outside, seeing the swarm climbing up to the podium. She flew to the side of the castle, 'landing' on it, causing a sonic wave that caused some of the swarm to fall, held out her sword, and began to run towards the climbing swarm, swing her sword, heading into a near countless number of shadows, now turning their attention onto her.
Spike and Twilight made it to their ship, relieved to see some guards protecting it.
"Oh good!" Twilight panted with relief
"I think we can actually make it." Spike replied, standing in full attention. "Men! Take Princess Twilight and I somewhere else safe!!! We will develop a plan to take back Canterlot, then we-"
"No sir." they all replied, very blankly.
"...Excuse me? Did you say 'No sir'? I'll have you know that I can put in Court Martial and-"
"We no longer follow you."
"Oh no!" Twilight exclaimed "look at their eyes!!!" Spike took a good look at the soldiers: the white of their eyes were now green, their pupils now, instead of their own color, were now red, and their irises were cat like.
"...Great!" Spike exclaimed. Evil laughter echoed around them, and, in a shadow right behind, a figure began to rise, going from black as a shadow to his full glory: he had on a near royal looking armor on with a red cape on his back, with it, having white fur on it's edges. His hair was black, and, though it flowed like Luna's, it moved rather rapidly, almost as if it were fire, but he also had on a a crown that two points over his ears, and two, red curved small blades around a silver circle in the middle of his head.
"KING SOMBRA!!!" They both exclaimed
"Well, well, well," Sombra spoke in a frightening but also charming voice "if it isn't the newest princess and her little 'Spikey Wikey'. I'm glad you both remember me, after hat you did on MY PLANET!!!"
"SILENCE!!!" Twilight yelled "Spike is now a commander: a well deserved role that he earned, unlike you, who enslaved an entire planet for your won cruel form of power!!!"
"It was not cruel!!! They needed a leader: one who will do anything to protect them!!!"
"YOU ENSLAVED THEM!!!"
"I PROTECTED THEM!!!"
"What are you doing here!?!?!?" Spike growled at him.
"I just need the princess. She comes with me, and you, 'commander', won't have the shame of being bested by me."
"Oh sure... do I need to remind you of what happened almost ten years ago!?!?!?" Twilight giggled a bit and Sombra growled back!!!
"MEN!!! Grab her!!! I'll deal with this brat!!!"
"Go get him, Spike!!!" Twilight cheered. She turned and saw the possessed guards running towards her. Knowing that they were still alive, she planned to only knock them unconscious with her race's special abilities. Spike, on the other hand, pulled out his pistol and began to fire at the first person he had beaten (though, he had help from Twilgiht's brother and his wife). Sombra dodged the laser blasts with surpassing speed as he ran towards the Draco. In just a few inches, Sombr kicked the gun out of Spike's clawed hand and began to use some old, forgotten fighting skills. Spike began to swipe at Sombra with his claws, taking a few deep breaths and breathing out some fire, putting some of it onto his claws to add some extra effects to his claw swipes. They both dodged a few of each other's attacks and took a couple of hits from each other, but they fought ferociously!!! Spike began to lose himself a bit, but saw Sombra had disappeared, then reappeared with Spike's own helmet in his hand, and slammed it into Spike's face, causing the draco to lose some balance and hit his head on the rails, adding some more pain to his head. Twilight heard the clanging and saw Spike, lying on the floor, groaning.
"SPIKE!!!" She yelled, letting her guard down!!! One of the guards grabbed her from behind and held her in a full nelson. Sombra walked to the Draco and, using one arm, carried him by his neck. Spike's vision was a bit blurry, but he saw that he was face to face with Sombra himself.
"So young, so naive," Sombra commented as his eyes became full green. "Dracos aren't meant to make decisions. You were just a mistake that got lucky. Tell Celestia that I sent you wherever she is." His hand began to glow a dark purple with some black & green electricity crackling through it. His hand was just inches away from Spike's face.
"WAIT!!!" Sombra and Spike turned to Twilight, who got out of her capturer's grip. She fell to her knees and tears began to drip. "Please... if it means letting him live, I... surrender myself to you." Sombra looked at Twilight, then turned to his target, who struggled to get himself free. His hand started to go back to normal, along with his eyes.
"Excellent: just the answer I wanted to hear." He threw Spike to the ground, who let out a groan with pain.
"Twilight," Spoke weakly "You... can't."
"Such heroic nonsense." Sombra lifted one of his legs and kicked Spike across the face, causing him to only see darkness.
"SPIKE!!!" a faint voice of Twilight was only heard.

New Crew Members: Sunset Shimmer and Rarity.
"Spike," a familiar female voice faintly spoke "Spike, come on, wake up!!!"
"Ugh... Twilight?" Spike groaned. His vision came and he was fact to face with his childhood crush, the Mage "Rarity". She had on a more business looking white dress on with matching high heels, and her luscious indigo hair, still curled to perfection as she did when he was young. They were inside a tent area with medical equipment around them
"Twilight?" She asked "Oh silly, no! It's me, Rarity. It's been so long since we've last seen each other. I've heard how you're the first and youngest Draco commander. I do say, you rather dashing in a combat suit, even if it's... well... filthy and barbaric in almost every way possible." Spike blushed a bit, but his mind snapped as he remembered.
"WAIT!!! Twilight!!! Where is she!?!?!?"
"I'm sorry Spike." Luna said, walking inside their tent, followed by Cadence and Shining Armor. Cadence had on a Cerise dress with long sleeves that that matched her wings and had gold on the end of her dress & wrist areas, along with golden heels, belt, & a necklace. Her violet hair, with rose and pale gold streaks, nearly touched the floor, giving her a somewhat regal look. Shining Armor, on the other hand, had on his white jumpsuit while his legs were covered by blue combat boots and purple armor with gold edges that, despite Spike's, looked more for show than combat, covering his chest area, legs, waist, & wrists. Most would say that, had Spike not been a Draco with his dragon like qualities, Shining Armor could be seen as his older brother, as his sapphire blue hair, with cerulean & dark phthalo blue streaks, was also in a way that looked similar to an anime character's hair style.
"Spike," Cadence spoke "but we arrived when Twilight was kidnapped by King Sombra. You were unconscious on the floor, battered & beaten up. You did your best to save her."
"No!" Spike got up and placed his claws on his head "No,no,no,no,no,no,no!!! This wasn't suppose to happen!!!"
"We share your grief," Luna spoke "and believe me, we need our leader back as soon as we can."
"Well, Let's go get her!!! She can't be too far!!! They must b-"
"W're sorry, but we can't go."
"WHAT!?!?!? WHY!?!?!?"
"We need to stay and rebuild our planet," Shining Armor spoke opening the tent. Spike got up, feeling lucky Sombra didn't break his bones in their encounter, and looked outside: many of the buildings were either destroyed to rubble or barely standing with citizens trying to help each other out and help out the wounded citizens. "As you can see, we're a little tied up at the moment. Those Shadows, after taking Twilight away, began to attack the capital, destroying everything around them. We battled against them, and this is all we have left."
"Oh Spike," Cadence said, placing her arm over her shoulder "I wish we could help you find Twilight." With those words, Spike gained an idea.
"Hold on," Spike announced "I have a plan!!!"
"What is it?" Luna said, levitating a seat over to her as she sat down on it.
"Alright, you three have to stay and help rebuild with leading this planet's citizen's, right?"
"Yes. Where are you getting at?"
"What I'm saying is that Rarity and I should go and find Princess Twilight!!!"
"Find Twilight!?!?!?" Rarity shrieked a bit. She began to take deep breaths and thought about the situation. "Alright Rarity, keep it together. I'm pretty sure your customers will understand if your shop is closed, Twilight is your friend, Spike is the leader, and... OH!!! Alright then, Spike!"
"Yes, Rarity?"
"Let's go!!! Twilight needs us!!!"
"That sounds like a good idea," Shining Stated "but you're going to need more than that. You're gonna need a crew to complete this mission of yours."
"Wait," Spike said "you're... with me on this?"
"I am. Twilight is not just our sister, but is the main princess herself and person YOU swear to protect with your life!!!"
"And I think I know what you can use." Luna added "Come. I'm just glad those shadows nor that assassin found and destroyed it."
The five, after traveling through a broken down castle with guards still patrolling the emptied areas, went into an underground area. The lights lit up around them, making the whole area glow with white as they traveled down a hallway, ending with another door and a hand scanner next to it. Luna placed her hand on it, allowing it to scan her hands & fingers; it lit a green light and let out a beep of allowance, causing the door to open, revealing an elevator. They all entered inside, hearing the whirs of the elevator, slowly descending, revealing the elevator had a glass door, showing the metal surface going by them by the second. They soon found themselves in a large open area where, inside it's hanger area, laid a huge, white spaceship with, on both left sides, a flowing stream of light cerulean, light turquoise, very light cobalt blue, and pale heliotrope, that would easily tower the one Twilight and Spike arrived in!!!
"Oh my word!!!" Rarity gasped at the ship laying in front as they continued traveling down.
"What is that!?!?!?" Spike yelled
"That," Luna said with a chuckle "is your spaceship to use."
"...Really?"
"Yes. It was originally going to be Twilight's personal ship for when she had to do business with other planet's and galaxies, but since she isn't here, you'll use it."
"Does the color go with the name?"
"Yes. This is to pay tribute to my sister: it has the power you'd expect it to have, but is still elegant enough to fly around with grace. Welcome to "The Celestia"!"
"The Celestia." Rarity gawked at it as the elevator landed on the bottom below, letting them see more of how huge it was.
"There's already plenty of engineers inside, working & maintaining the Celestia as we know it. Of course, since you don't know anyone who's a good pilot, we had to get one for you."
"...who is it?" Almost as if on cue, the same orange winged angel flew down and landed in front of him, flaring his wings as he had a large grin on his face.
"Flash Sentry," he spoke "Reporting for Duty!!!" Before Spike could say anything, Flash flew inside the entrance of the Celestia, located at the bottom in the front area, followed by some other angels, mages, and humans, each bringing in supplies to the inside of the ship.
"Why him? Isn't there, I don't know, some other pilot that can fly the Celestia?"
"We didn't have all the time to find a pilot for the ship. His flight record actually excels the others and, though it just might help, he has some feelings for your stepsister."
"Don't remind me on that."
"Where will you be going?" Cadence asked the Draco.
"...Well... I figure I can go back to where Twilight meet her friends first, Ponyville, and then I can find others who would join our mission, and that's when we'll go and find her!!!"
"Not much of a plan there, eh?" Shining mocked
"Hey, I'm just getting the concept down, a plan will come soon."
"I hope so."
"If there's anything you need," Luna spoke "please, tell us now." Spike thought for a minute. He knew that he would need to get help, but everyone associated with Twilight would most likely be in Ponyville... all except for one.
"There is something I need!!!"
"What is it? Your comic book collection?"
"...No. That sounds nice though, but what I really need isn't something, but someONE!!!"
"Who?"
"Sunset Shimmer!!!"
"You mean... Celestia's old student that was banished into an alternate dimension?"
"Yes!!! Don't worry, Twilight and I are actually pretty good friends with her. She will gladly follow me to get her friend and, might we say, equal."
"Are... you sure about this?" Cadence asked
"Trust me on this. If anything goes wrong, I'll see to it that she's locked up until we complete the mission. There is a prison in the Celestia, right?"
"Kinda." Luna replied.
"Then bring her out here!!!" Luna took a deep breath: Spike seemed confident about this from what she felt otherwise. She opened a small device, tapped down something, and placed it on the floor.
"Alright everyone, you may want to back up on this." Everyone backed up from the area a bit, seeing a blue glowing orb with a figure forming inside. Though a silhouette, the figure was defiantly female with boots around the feet area and wearing a jacket. The orb made a small explosion, though not making a sound, and a woman floated down, landing on her knees gently. She had on a black leather jacket, covering over a purple t-shirt with a sun on it, with a skirt that, though an orange-yellow mix, had a white & purple stripe, with matching boots to her jacket that had a weird, matching purple blotch on both. The woman began to cough a bit and taking deep breaths.
"Where... am I?" She asked. She looked up and gasped at the sight of Luna "PRINCESS LUNA!?!?!? What's going on? Why am I here?"
"SUNSET!!!" Spike shouted with glee. He ran towards the woman and gave her a hug from right behind.
"Spike? What's going on? Is that a spaceship with Celestia's colors?"
"Oh Sunset," Rarity said with concern. "Please, step inside with me. I'll fill you in with what's happening and why you're here, sound good?"
"Uh... sure, I guess." Rarity extended a hand to Sunset. Sunset accepted the hand and was helped lifted up. Due to not being a mage for over a couple of years, it took her a while to walk, but was aided by Rarity, who carried her inside the Celestia. Spike began to follow them.
"Spike." Shining spoke, stopping him in place. The Draco turned around to his older step-brother. "Listen, no matter what happens, don't lose sight of what's really important here. Twilight may now be the head princess, but she's still our sister. When you find her, never lose sight of her, got it?"
"I got it." Spike replied
"That's good. So you later, little bro." He messed with Spike's hair a bit before saluting to him. Spike returned the Salute and began to head into the Celestia. Though that idiot Flash Sentry was piloting, he shouldn't be too much of a problem if he was kept in the cockpit. Spike entered Celestia, seeing all of the crew was busy doing something important, from checking their data on various of things: supplies, ammunition, coordinates, ECT. Spike walked over to Flash Sentry, who sat down in the cockpit, checking on everything. A chair stood in the middle, with a clear, long, and narrow windows, giving everyone a full access view to the world outside.
"Food... check!" He listed down, looking through the list of important stuff "Water.... check! Coordinates to other planets... check! One angry commander... definitely a check there!"
"Oh, shut up." Spike replied to Flash's comment
"Sorry about that, didn't know I struck a nerve there."
"You're getting close to it."
"Sorry, I get a bit excited when piloting any new ship!!!"
"Really? You fly ships often?"
"Yeah! I know we angels would love to use our wings more than rely on ships to do it, but with me, I actually enjoy using something that can fly. Are you a flying person?"
"I've... had my experiences."
"Oh, good, don't want a commander who'll freak out when I fly."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, if it happens, which I'm hoping it won't, expect many turns that will cause most to panic."
"I now hope so as well. Say, do you know where those Mages went?"
"The ones not in uniform?"
"Yeah... those two."
"They're in one of the rooms... room #3407."
"Alright. I'll talk to you later, get this ship running."
"Will do, Commander!!! This is going to be so cool!!!" Spike began to walk past the rooms until he stopped at #3407. He was about to knock, but heard Sunset whimpering inside. Not really sure what to do, he knocked on the door.
"Who's there?" Rarity asked
"It's Spike." Spike replied
"...Come in." Sunset's voice cracked. Spike opened the door and saw Sunset lying down with her head in between her knees, crying softly.
"She's not really taking it well." Rarity told Spike.
"I take it you told her what happened." Spike replied
"How?" Sunset questioned while tearing up. "How can anyone do that??? She was well protected and yet... they snuck in and poisoned her in her sleep!!! I-I never had the chance to see her... those years and yet, I can still remember her face." Spike sat next to her and placed a claw around her arm.
"I know... it's devastating."
"I'm... a bit glad Twilight is now the head princess, but... why did they kidnap her if they killed Celestia!?!?!? It makes no sense!!!"
"We'll find that out soon, but for now, we need to rescue Twilight."
"I... know." Silence came in between them.
"Now's not the time to grieve. We need to rescue Twilight and find out who's responsible and what they're planning! More will join us, friends of ours that I know really well. Sunset, according to us, you're redeemed, but to Luna and Cadence, you're not. Help us and fulfill your redemption. I'm sure Celestia would've loved to see how you've changed." Sunset's head perked up at what Spike said. She slowly stood right back up on her feet, took a final sniff, opened a closet, and pulled out some armor.
"Uh... Spike, is it alright if we can change the color of our suits?"
"I will see that."
"And... can you leave? I've got to change when we land on this... Ponyville. Why's it called Ponyville by the way?"
"I'm... not really sure." Rarity replied "It just sorta is, named by Humans."
"Really? I can understand their planets in their solar system named after roman gods, but that sounds like something a little girl would name."
"Yeah, I agree."
"We'll be launching in a few minutes. " Flash's voice was heard throughout the intercom "Repeat, we'll be launching in a few minutes. "
"You guys better go." Sunset replied. "I'll be ready when we land."
"Uh... the colors?" Spike asked
"Oh... right! How do I do that?"
"Is it alright if I help?" Rarity asked "as a friend, of course."
"Uh... sure. That'd be helpful!"
"Alrighty then," Rarity walked inside "First, we're going to have to take these out, then-" the door closed right behind them, muffling their voices. Spike began to walk back to the control areas and sat down in the chair, feeling how soft it was.
"Alright," Flash said "everything's ready to go, Spike!"
"Good." Spike replied
"Where to, sir?"
"Ponyville. I'm gonna need more friends, and hopefully, a good portion of them are still there."
"Alright... permission to speak freely?"
"...granted."
"I feel honored to work under you, even if I am a bit jealous."
"Jealous? You don't seem jealous."
"I hide my feelings better than others."
"Well... what are you jealous of?"
"It's that... you're a commander, leading a whole ship, and making your own crew! That's something anyone would want."
"What are you getting at?"
"It's that... you're a Draco."
"...So?"
"Draco's are, and don't feel offended by this, but, your kind has been looked down by the entire galaxy. We all thought you wouldn't make it, myself included."
"As I told Twilight, never judge a book by it's cover."
"True, true. We just thought... well, even if you did make it, you would still be the lowest soldier around, never going to get the respect as we did in our youth."
"It's a funny thing about respect: most people believe they get it when, in all truth, you earn it. I planned to rank through and protect all I stood for, never much for personal pride or glory."
"Yeah... I... respect that actually. Ponyville, right?"
"Correct."
"Alright, accessing permission to leave... it's granted. We'll be launching in 3... 2... 1." The walls in from of them started to part, revealing that there was a way for them to leave. The Celestia began to rise off the ground, and, in a matter of seconds, they were fired out to the outside world!!! Though going by super fast, it was revealed that the Celestia was made inside the mountain the Canterlot Castle rested upon, the only thing left untouched as it was turned into the capitol it was... or so it was thought. They all found themselves in space, seeing everything float a bit.
"Flash, the gravity?"
"Oh, sorry, forgot about that." Flash pressed another button and everything fell back onto the floor, back to what it was before they left. Their adventure was just starting: they needed to get the rest of Twilight's friends; Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy. Others would join, mostly friends, but some enemies as well... but that's another chapter later on.
