THE NEWS

I'm bored. I'm always bored.

Throughout my time (Which I still have a few decades left in my life) I always thought life would be perfect and I'll always be happy. Ever since my castle appeared my friends and I saw good things in the future. Which the future did turn out good with the peace and being the strongest out of the changelings and dragons (never thought that would happen). Yet life is boring since nothing ever happens except the daily small stuff that we can handle in mere seconds.

One thing that really makes me sad is that I don't talk to my friends as much anymore even though we all live most of our lives in this castle except Pinkie since she got married and had four foals.

I never talk to Rainbow because she's a Wonder Bolt now, Applejack is never around because Big Mac is dead so she does a lot more work on the farm now, Rarity goes on weekly trips to Canterlot now that she is a big time fashion designer, and Fluttershy is well...She still has her animals but she also is available more now that Spike helps her on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. But one friend isn't enough to have the good ol' days come back, especially without Pinkie.

Another thing I hate is...Who's knocking on my door? I'm busy complaining about life. "Hello and what do you want." I ask.

"I got a letter for you Twilight, is something bothering you?"

"No, I'm fine, just bored." I reply

"Well I hope this letter cheers you up Princess." the mail pony says to me in a cheerful tone.

Great, the mailpony giving me more fan mail. I get to much that I barely read any of it and write back to the ponies who send these. I don't get why they send more. Yet this letter isn't the plain mail I usually get, might be important.

Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle

You can probably guess who this is since I suck at writing and that this letter is very short. The point is I'm coming back to ponyville for awhile and so are the others, but Pinkie isn't. Meet us at the old deli on Thursday at 2:00. Hope to see you there.

...My friends are coming back for a bit? I haven't seen some of them for so long, I can't wait! Tomorrow's going to be such a good day, I can't wait!

I want to go to bed right now but it's only 6:26, to early. I still haven't had dinner either and I need to clean the kitchen.

I'm not used to cleaning unless it's my study area, or cooking since Spike usually does.

So I'll just make myself a salad and have Spike clean tomorrow.

My neck hurts so much, I slept awkwardly last night, but I still slept good.

Yesterday, it felt like forever since I got that letter. I'm meeting my friends in five hours and I don't want to be late. I haven't had breakfast yet because I slept in accidentally, also I look and smell horrible because I haven't showered in four days. I was alone so I didn't care how I looked or smelled.

I took a quick shower to clean myself up a bit and I didn't bother eating anything because I'm going to meet my friends for lunch.

Now I need to find something to do for four hours. I don't read as much books anymore because they're getting boring, never thought I'd say that in my life. I guess I'll go shopping for things I don't even need that much to pass the time.

As I walk out the door I see Fluttershy walking over to me. "Hey Twilight. I was just coming over to see you. I just wanted to make sure you're all right and coming to lunch." says the shy yellow animal caretaker.

"Yeah I'm coming and felling fine. How about you?" I ask Fluttershy with a smile.

"I'm great. I was so happy to hear that the other girls were coming down to see us."

"I haven't talked to them in a long time." I say.

"Me neither. Do you know if all of the them are coming?" Fluttershy asks.

"All of them but Pinkie sadly."

"Oh, so where were you going?" Fluttershy asks me with a very courious look.

"Just shopping to pass the time, want to came?"

"Sure, I needed to restock on food anyway." she replies almost immediately like she has no where else to be.

I can't wait to see my friends, it seems I'm the first one here though. I see Applejack coming but she's alone. "Hey Applejack, I been waiting for a few minutes, I'm surprised I was the first here." I say.

"Hey Twi, I ain't sure if Rarity will be able to make it, I know RD will be here soon." The orange farm pony said.

"I hope they can all make it. Also, I know Fluttershy will be here soon." I say.

"There she is, down the street. What happened to her? she seems to walk funny." Applejack says with extreme worry in her voice, I can easily notice it.

"I don't know." I reply

"Hey girls." Fluttershy says to us as she limps up to our table.

"Hey Fluttershy." Applejack and I say in unison.

"Is somethin'  botherin' you sugercube. You look sad and hurt."

"Nothing, I'm fine." It's easy to tell when Fluttershy is lying or hiding something, especially since the accident she had last year, she can't hide anything anymore, but the accident is another story.

"You sure?" Applejack says trying to get the truth out of her.

"Yes." Fluttershy says with a reassuring smile.

"Good." Applejack says with a tone that says she doesn't believe Fluttershy.

"Girls look, Rainbow's coming." Fluttershy points in the sky.

"hey guys." The athletic, cyan pony said while looking down at the street, half covering you eyes with her rainbow mane. Rainbow hands me a letter. The letter is definitely important because it is the mail Princess Celestia sends to show the person it was sent to that the letter is important. "What does it say?" ask Fluttershy.

I show everypony the letter. Once they get a good look at it they all gasp.

It says

Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle

Twilight, this letter is of upmost importance. I didn't want to send this letter because I knew it would change your life if I did, even if I didn't send you this it still would, that's why I sent it anyway. The dragons have declared war on Equestria. I must talk to you. When you became a princess to 'fulfill your destiny', that may not be your true path of life. I must test you to find out if you are who can possibly be the only chance Equestria has to survive.
