It was a sunny, clear day in Cantorlot and all the pony citizens were walking around doing their everyday routines from shopping to going to work. In the huge castle in the middle of the city were the two princess sisters Celestia and Luna who were hosting a visit for the elements of harmony.

They were all siting around a huge table with plenty of food striking conversation after conversation. Everything seemed to be going just fine until a guard rushed into the room."My princesses, I hate to disturb but we have some news you all must hear."

Of course something that would require all of them to hear surely got the Celestia's attention. "What is it major." Celestia said in a serious tone.

"We found a changeling outside the borders of Cantorlot and is currently in the dungeon your highness."

After saying that the elements said "what" unison. "Those varmints better not be trying something again because if they are i'm gonna buck them all the way to Wednesday. " said Applejack.

"Ugh, those horrible filthy bugs. I really hoped we didn't have to mention them again. " said a disgusted Rarity.

"Can you please show us the changeling major? asked Celestia.

"Yes your highness."

The major led them all to the dungeon of the castle which any pony would try to ignore. "This is the cell he is in right now. " They all looked in the cell with stern faces that quickly turned into confusion. They were all expecting a full grown changeling, but what they got instead was the exact opposite. Inside was a small changeling the size of a regular colt with tear stained eyes and a look of fear on its face.

"That's the changeling you were talking about? "Said Rainbow Dash.

"Yes we knew it was completely harmless but we didn't want to take any chances especially after what happened at the royal wedding. "

"Don't remind me. " muttered Princess Twilight.

"What are you going to do with me?" Said a shaky scelared voice. They all looked at the young changeling who just spoke. "Your going to kill me right, my mom always said the princesses would kill changelings without a second thought because your all just ruthless dictators who don't care about other species." That line is what really shocked the mares. Especially the princesses knowing their living things out there who think that way of them. They always thought that every pony just loved them but that think about it, they have made a lot of enemies in the past year.

"We would never do something like that. Where is your mother anyway."Twilight said just a little harshly because of her history with changelings in the past.

"She's dead. Torn apart by a pack of timberwolves not too long. I guess that makes me an orphan, right." Now this completely shocked them all. What shocked them even more was that Applejack put hoof through the bars and put it on his shoulder.

"Ah understand exactly how you feel. My Parents met the same fate unfortunately." Applejack in all her life thought she would say those words, especially to a changeling.

Luna after all this time finally spoke up."Where is the rest of your swarm. I don't know much about changelings but I do know they always stay in a group."

He snickered a little after she said that. "I can't believe you pony's never new. After that failed invasion my parents and the rest of the swarm did, the changelings completely died out. There are very few of us left and their who the hell knows where." This was in fact very new news to all them. They never really paid attention to the changelings after the invasion except for keeping them out of Cantorlot. They never once thought they were dying. "Chrysalis is dead, my parents are dead, my friends are dead, my little sister is dead. Pretty much anyone that I have loved or care about is dead, so if your going to kill me, kill me now.

This once again shocked them all causing a silence that lasted 15 second."Excuse us."Twilight finally said. They moved to another part of the dungeon. "So what are we going to do with him." Twilight asked even though she already knew what they were going to say including her. After settling on a agreement and deal with the details later, they went back to the cell.

"What's your name?" Celestia asked. "Roxas." "Well Roxas were going to be moving you to a room upstairs and more comfortable for you to rest up and then you will be moving to Ponyville. "
