Chapters Manecraft: The End Adventure!
In the lowly silence of a block filled world, the darkness of night covered all, all was cast over by shadow and the bright colours of day dimmed. Through the open patches of a thick block forest, a creature runs fast, ducking and weaving around the block trees trying to get through to his destination.
The creature seemed to be in the shape of blocks, the same as the world around him. His body was a rectangular shape with his legs and arms rectangles as well; they were slightly less thick, but just as long, his head was a square shape, wider than his body from the front to back.
The creature had dark brown hair and blue eyes, with a light blue shirt un-tucked on the left hand; he also wore a pair of blue jeans and grey shoes.
As the creature continues to run, he was panting, trying to catch what breath he could. He stopped but a moment behind a nearby tree that was the same thickness as him, trying to conceal his presence. He held one of his blocky hands to his blocky body gasping for air.
Tilting his block head around to see is anything was behind him, he saw nothing however, just various block trees and randomly placed blocks that formed the landscape of this world, everything around was a block, and even the clouds above were various blocks formed together but still operating like a normal cloud would.
“I think,” Began the creature to himself, gasping for air in the process, “I think I lost them.” The creature closed his eyes in realization that he was safe for now and gave out a sigh of relief.
Through the silence came an arrow that struck the tree that the creature was resting against, nearly hitting him if it were a few inches lower. The creature gave out a short yelp in shock and looked to where the arrow came from.
In front of him a few meters away, a similar looking creature was facing him, however this new adversary wore no cloths, nor did it have hair or eyes, but the key point was the distinct lack of skin and organs, a block shaped Skeleton. It held in its right had a block shaped bow, as it prepared to fire another arrow.
“Why did I have to say that?” asked the creature to itself as yet another arrow crossed his path, this time hitting closer to where he was standing, it would of hit if he hadn't of dodged.
The creature broke out into a run once more to escape the Skeleton, as he once more ran passed tree upon block tree, hoping over random dirt blocks to escape quicker. Continuing to run, he stopped as another figure stood not too far away from him.
This new creature wore the exact same clothing, but was different in one aspect, were the first creature had pale skin; this one’s skin was green, rotten and decayed, a walking block corpse, like a Zombie. Its arms extended outward, seeking for soothing to grab onto. The first creature was able to bypass this Zombie like block monster and continue in his sprint before coming to a clearing. No trees were past this point, only various block dirt piles covered in grass, and a tall grey stoned mountain.
However within this mountain was a small, wooden block shaped door, applied into the mountain, this is where the creature was running to. He didn't stop running after seeing his goal but mere meters away from him.
“Yes,” he said with gasping breath as he didn't stop running, “I’m gonna make it.” He began to speed up slightly as he got closer and closer to the door.
Arrows continued to fall around him as they missed their target, this didn't stop him however. He allowed himself a quick glance backwards to see what was following him now. A large collection of creatures completely identical to the ones he encountered in the forest emerged from the trees, moving ever closer towards him.
Finally the door was in sight, as the creature threw the door open and slammed it behind himself, and with quick succession he turned to face the door. out of the four little holes in the top, he could see the large host of other creatures approaching, Skeletons and Zombies.
In a panic, the creature seemed to summon a small singular block of dirt from nowhere, was this some form of magic, that he could create blocks at will, or was there something more to it. More stranger than that was when the creature placed it on the floor, it grew in a size, the same size as the creatures head, but for only showing that he had one in his hand, the creature had placed two, one on top of the other, yet he still had that small block of dirt in his hand.
The creature gave out a sigh of relief; he knew he was safe this time.
“Note to self,” he began to monologue to himself, “Don’t mine at night Steve.” He turned around to see his small little layout of a settlement.
Mined out from the wall was an area about seven blocks in width and six blocks in length, it was also three blocks high, quite spacious for a small keep. Inside was a collection of strange looking objects, a wooden block in the form of some kind of work desk, next to it was a stone block to look the part of an oven or furnace, and on the other side was a two block long bed, the perfect size for him, next to that was some form of box or chest even the same length as the bed, finishing off with various torches to light up the room.
“What a day.” Steve said to himself as he climbed into his bed.
Outside the door, the large collection of Skeletons and Zombies patrolled the grounds, waiting for their pray to revile themselves. From the forest however, one presence still remained, it hid behind a tree, trying to conceal its presence.
Behind it was a smaller collection of Skeletons; they too watched the door with this strange presence.
“When will you admit defeat?” began the strange figure, “What are you trying to prove anymore?” The strange figure poked his head further out from the tree, reviling his bright, luminous eyes that glowed white. “Make my words Steve, your days in The Overworld, are numbered.”

Chapter II: The Beginning
Twilight awoke slowly, pacing herself after what had just happened; her body was in shock from it all. Opening her eyes she realised she was lying on grass, but how was she outside now? Maybe the book teleported them back to the Everfree Forest, or even Ponyville, but this was not the case.
Rising herself up, rubbing her eyes with a hoof, she took notice of her surroundings, giving out a shocking gasp of unbelief. The ground around her was grass with larger portions of the land raised up, but the reviled raised part and sunken in part shaped the world in the shape of squares. Every part on the ground was a square block built up to form the ground.
Twilight looked around to see that not only was the ground blocks, but the entire landscape was too, from the small collection of trees dotted around where they were, to the formation of a small lake, all was shaped.
“How is this possible?” Twilight questioned. Her friends started to come around after a while, possibly in response to her outburst. They too were shocked at first to see the world they were in; block upon block lay ahead of them. Nopony knew where they were, but one thing was certain, it wasn’t Equestria.
“What in tarnation?!” gave out Applejack in response. The others too were confused as to what they hay had happened to them, where were they?
“Wow, this is weird,” Rainbow Dash admitted, “everything is, well, square.”
“This is too much to believe, this can’t be.” demanded Rarity. The sound of splashing was heard not too far away, she turned to see her friend Pinkie Pie dipping her hoof into the blocky water, a smile and a giggle came to her face.
“This is funny,” Pinkie Pie stated as she continued to touch the water, “It’s like block water, ooooo... if I drink it, do I turn into a block pony?”
“I don’t think we want to find out Pinkie,” explained Applejack as she started to pull her friend away in case of any danger, “Best we just leave things we don’t know about.”
“Why? It’s just water, funny looking blocky water.”
“Applejacks right Pinkie,” agreed Twilight.
“Aw girls, honestly, look,” Pinkie Pie started to tap the water with a hoof again, “See? It’s just water.” Pinkie Pie then jumped into the small take that was a block deep and stood in it, she then stuck her head in whole head in the water and started to look around
“PINKIE!” shouted Twilight is protection for her friend’s health. Pinkie Pie shot her head up back up to the surface after she had enough, but her mane wasn’t wet at all. All of her friends looked at amazement, normally in Pinkie Pie’s case, when her mane got wet; it would flop down to her neck, looking to resemblance how Twilight’s would be.
“Pinkie?” questioned Fluttershy, “Your mane, it’s not wet.” Pinkie looked up to see her mane was as poufy as ever, this confused this also.
“Hu?” she said puzzlingly. Pinkie then repeatedly snuck her head for a few seconds and raised it again, about four times she did this, but no change was made to her mane, it never got wet.
Pinkie Pie was about to do it a fifth time but was stopped by Applejack who joined her in the small pool.
“Pinkie, your gonna get a headache if ya keep doin’ that.” She stated. They both left the pool of block water to rejoin her friends. Twilight leaned down so her face was close to Applejacks forehooves on the ground, inspecting them; they too were not wet for some reason.
“Fascinating,” Twilight said with an inquisitive look on her, “do you feel wet at all?”
“Nope,” Applejack admitted, “Not really.”
A sudden rumbling noise was heard nearby; it caught Twilight’s and Applejack’s attention. They both turned their heads towards Fluttershy who was blushing in embarrassment; the rumbling noise was her stomach.
“Sorry girls,” Fluttershy confessed, “I didn’t have anything to eat before I came out today.”
“Why ever would you go without food darling?” Rarity asked
“Well some of my animals didn’t have their normal amount, so I gave them some of mine.” Fluttershy’s stomach gave another rumble; another embarrassing blush crossed her face.
“Don’t worry Sugercube, I’ll find us something.” resourced Applejack.
“How, there isn’t anything for miles, just blocks.” stated Rainbow Dash. Applejack had to admit that this wasn’t there world anymore, so Rainbow Dash had a point; there wasn’t much say for dirt blocks and lots of open space. But then she caught eye of the few trees nearby, Applejack had an idea and began to walk towards them.”
“Leave it to me, I know what to do.” Applejack said with confidence, striding towards the tree she had in sight. As she approached the block like tree, Applejack placed a hoof on its trunk; it was normal coloured like the ones in her Apple Orchard, so she figured it would has apples in its branches somewhere.
“What are you doing?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Reckon these trees be apple trees, so I’m gonna buck me us some.” Applejack explained her reasoning’s.
“I don’t see any apples on the tree Applejack.” admitted Fluttershy.
“Well maybe the ones on show are taken already, gotta be some further in.”
Applejack turner around so her rear was facing the tree, she looked behind her to level herself up, squinting her eyes in concentration. All the other ponies gathered around to see what was going to happen, they already knew what would happen if it went right, they just wanted to witness it in a new world. Applejack reared up her hide legs to her stomach then projected them back towards the tree trunk. The idea was that as Applejacks hide legs made contact with the tree, the impact would cause a reaction in the tree to knock louse the Apples and make them fall to the ground, that’s how she did it down on the farm anyway, but hear was different. As Applejack made contact with the block trunk, the part that she hit disappeared on impact, causing Applejack to shoot backwards slightly, falling on her stomach with her hide legs resting where the trunk block had disappeared. All of her friends gasped in disbelief as Applejack was raising herself; she turned to see what went wrong.
“Did I miss or somthin’?” Applejack questioned, but as she turned round to see, she realised what had happened.
The tree was somehow suspended above the ground, nothing holding it in place. The block tree was five wood blocks tall with the top one concealed by leaf looking blocks that continues to grow upwards for three blocks tall, the base of the tree still stood, but the second to last block to the ground was missing, leaving nothing for the rest of the tree to stand on, it should have fallen over, but it didn’t, it just hovered in the air with a one block gap in its trunk.
“Ok, this is just getting silly,” said Applejack with a stern look on her face, waiting for the tree to fall, but it never did, “What in tarnation is goin’ on in this world?”
“I have no idea,” replied Twilight as she approached the floating tree trunk, “But I have the feeling that the rest of this world, wherever we are, is just as crazy.” Rainbow Dash flew close to the tree and inspected it, first waving one of her hoofs through the gap Applejack made, feeling nothing, and then she poked her head through to look up at the tree.
“Is this like a world designed by Discord or something,” Rainbow Dash questioned, seeming the only plausible logic to her. Twilight looked closer as well and thought that Rainbow Dash’s assumption might just be plausible enough to make sense.
“That would explain a few things, that’s for sure.” She said in an agreeing yet questioning tone. Twilight placed a hoof on the lower part of the floating tree trunk, an idea had come to her mind.
“Applejack,” Twilight began, “Try bucking another block of the tree.” Applejack looked at her friend to question her reasoning as to why she thought of that, she did see what happened before hadn’t she.
“Why?” she asked, “It didn’t work the first time, might not work this time neither.”
“I know, but I have a theory: If you broke it once, could you do it several times more?” Twilight waved away her explanation. This seemed to hit home to Applejack, it made sense, plus it would clear up a few more questions. Rainbow Dash and Twilight backed away and Applejack reared up for another go, this time aiming for the block that Twilight was touching. Same as last time, Applejack raised her legs high and hit the tree with force, and same as last time, the tree block disappeared, but Applejack was expecting that to happen so she was able to stabilise herself after it broke this time, landing on all four hooves. Twilight gave a small grunting laugh at the outcome, she was right.
“What does this mean then Twilight?” asked Fluttershy.
“It means that we can’t get any apples from the trees,” answered Pinkie Pie, “Sorry Fluttershy, you’ll just have to starve.” Fluttershy backed back in shock, looking at her stomach that continued to rumble, she began to whimper at the very thought of not being able to eat again.
“Pinkie,” Rarity scolded, “Don’t say such things.” Rarity went to Fluttershy to reassure her friend that she would be fine, to which Fluttershy gave a faint smile of appreciation.
Rainbow Dash saw that there was enough room for her to hover between the two block tall gap, her body was raised up straight as she hovered, she looked up to see the more wooden blocks still hovering, making her angry that she didn’t understand what was going on, she gave out a grunt of rage.
“Fall you stupid tree!” Rainbow Dash demanded, resorting to hitting the closest block to her with a hoof. Same with Applejack, as her hoof made contact, the wood block disappeared out of sight, followed up quickly by another punch from the other hoof at the higher block which in turn disappeared, revealing leaf blocks. Rainbow Dash gave out a louder grunt of frustration that lasted for three seconds, grinding her teeth and placing her hooves over her eyes, but after the three second was up she gave out a sigh of regretting defeated and left, flying slowly away with her eyes closed and her easy down.
“I can’t believe I’m gonna say this, but... I’ve lost to a tree.” She said in a tired toned voice. Twilight observed her friend leave the tree then sit down on the ground in a sulk.
“So what now then?” asked Applejack to Twilight.
“I, hu... I don’t know,” Twilight admitted, “Were stuck in a world made out of blocks with block trees that don’t fall even when you break their stumps, so I have no idea.” Pinkie Pie looked up at the tree for a moment before giving out a confusing exhale of breath.
“Why are the leaves disappearing?” she asked her friends, or anypony still listening, which Twilight and Applejack were.
“That’s what we’re tryin’ to find out Pinkie,” explained Applejack.
“Also Pinkie,” Twilight continues the conversation, “The tree truck was disappearing when we hit it, not the leaves.”
“Ok, so why are the leaves disappearing now?” Pinkie asked the second time, gesturing to the tree. Twilight and Applejack looked to the tree; they soon saw what Pinkie was talking about. The leaf blocks of the tree were quickly disappearing randomly, some from the top, some from the bottom; they disappeared, soon catching the attention of the other ponies that moved closer towards it as more and more leaf blocks vanished. As some of them faded away, they left behind smaller versions of trees, but only a small stem of a tree, a block like sapling, also amongst the sapling appearing from the disappearing leaf block, much to the delight of Fluttershy were block like apples. As the last few leaf blocks disappeared, Twilight couldn’t help but think that yes this world is strange, but fascinating that the nature of the world works in this way, if only she had her quill and parchment with her to take notes. The last leaf blocks disappeared, leaving nothing but the one wood block that was the original base of the tree, and a large collection of saplings and few apples, some of which Fluttershy had already collected and was consuming.
“Wow Fluttershy,” said Rainbow Dash stunned, “You were hungry.” Fluttershy began to nod, her mouth full of apple.
“They taste any good?” asked Applejack. Fluttershy gave a hard swallow before speaking.
“Oh yes, they not so different than the ones on your farm Applejack.” Fluttershy made her observation then continued to eat more apples, but she did remember to give one to Applejack to taste for herself, if anypony knew apples, it was her after all. Applejack took a bite of the apple hoofed over to her, she seemed to like it.
“Not bad.” Applejack said with a mouth full of apple, she didn’t care for demeanour with food as much as Fluttershy did, which to Rarity’s annoyance was unacceptable.
“Applejack, please,” Rarity began to complain, “Have you ever heard of table manners?” Applejack just stared at Rarity with a mouth full of apple, her expression said it all.
Far away in the distance, unbenounced to the ponies, they were being watched from behind a thick trunked tree, a large dark coloured slender figure was taking an interest in them, possible because something like this was not seen in the world before, or maybe for another reason. It stared at them with bright pink eyes, and an aura of purple flake shapes circled it apparently of independent thought, seeming to be a part of the creature though not connected. It twitched its head to the side in confusion; making a series of rasping noises not heard from another creature known, and as quick as a flash it was gone, leaving only faint traces of the purple aura which after a few seconds also disappeared.
Rainbow Dash flew up into the air, looking around she could see far, the landscape was a vast collection of blocks, grass and dirt blocks and even some grey rock looking blocks, but no sign of any form of life for miles, certainly no ponies that was for sure.
“See anything?” cried Applejack from the ground, looking up at her friend.
“Nothing,” Rainbow Dash shouted back, “Nothing but block, blocks and more blocks. The whole place if just filled with them.” Applejack turned her attention away from Rainbow Dash to her friends on the ground who gathered around.
“I guess that means that this must be one big ‘old block world.” Applejack said, making the assumption from what she previously heard.
“Well that would make sense,” agreed Twilight, “Even so, we need to watch where we heading, it could be very easy to lose our way in this place. Not knowing where we are is going to be hard for us to plan ahead.” All of the ponies gathered around gave a nod in agreement and Rainbow Dash flew down to join them, hovering just overhead, and at that Twilight walked a little ahead of the other before turning her head back to face them. “Let’s get moving then, we need to find some kind of shelter until we know more about this place.”
The six ponies began to follow in Twilights hoof marks, forward over the great block planes of grass, and out into the wilderness.

Deep beneath the surface, in a small clearing of dirt and stone blocks as the floor, the walls the same with the dirt and stone being randomly generated into them, the dark slender creature that previously spied upon the ponies stood looking down at another presence, a smaller block creature with bright glowing eyes, brighter than any torch.
“And are you sure this is what you saw?” the smaller presence asked the dark slender creature. In response, the dark slender creature gave out rasping noises, but the smaller of the two creatures was somehow able to understand what was being said to him.
“Very well then Enderman 34,” replied the smaller creature in a calm, but also threatening manner and tone, “Follow them, and make sure that they don’t cause any trouble, whatever they are.” At that, the slender creature, this Enderman as it was referred to, vanished, leaving the other creature to his thoughts.
“Well then,” he began to himself, “What has been set in motion this time I wonder?” the creature gave out a crude maniacal laugh.

Over various sized mounds of dirt block the ponies continued to head forward, although they had no idea where they were going, it was better than staying in the same place surrounded by nothing of any kind. The one useful landmark in the clearing where they first started out was a single tree, which they knocked down, or whatever the equivalent of knocking down was in this world, hitting the block tree wood block by block till there was nothing left.
On their way, Applejack noticed something in the distance, a bulky figure not too far away from where they were.
“Hey look over there.” said Applejack, calling for attention to be focused where she pointed her hoof. They all saw the creature in the distance, it seemed to be walking around slowly and aimlessly, settling in one place for a few seconds before moving to another place to stand. Upon closer look it was not alone; there were three other creatures exactly identical to the first, colored brown with white block like markings with four thick rectangle block legs, and a block sized head with a small pair of horns pocking out the top of each of their heads, its eyes were also in the pattern of blocks for some reason, a two by two square of smaller squares, the top two were light grey on both eyes, where as its left eye had a black square on the bottom left part and a white square in the bottom right, the right eye was reversed.
“Are those, cows?” asked Twilight, confused; she had never seen cows like this before. The creatures gave out random mooing to confirm what they were.
“Looks like it,” replied Applejack with a jolly tone, “Reckon we best ask where we are then.” Applejack started to trot on down a small block hill towards the cows, as she did so one of them looked to her coming, Applejack decided to approach that once since it noticed them first.
“Howdy partner, please ta meet y’all,” Applejack introduced politely, “I’m Applejack, and me and my friends are a littl’ lost. See, we don’t come from around these part, so we don’t know where we are, could you show us where a town is around here?” The cow simply looked at Applejack, no expression on its block face, it made her nervous. The cow simply mooed at her once then turned away to look in the other direction, this came as a surprise to Applejack, being ignored like that.
Rarity decided to step forward and take charge.
“Let me have a try with another one,” she explained, “This calls for a little charm.” Applejack gave a deadpan gaze at her as she trotted over to another cow; arrogance was the word that came to mind. The cow Rarity approached did not turn to face her till she started talking.
“Excuse me my dear, umm... cow. Would you be so kind as to tell us where we are? I would vastly appreciate your assistance in this matter.” Rarity spends no expense in wording her words so they sounded nice and present. Same as before, the cow simply mooed and this time walked away from rarity to go stare at the other ponies on the higher hill. Applejack gave a snicker as rarity was left open mouthed at the mute creature.
“So much for charm, hu Rarity?” said Applejack with no hint of hiding her sarcasm. Rarity raised her head and turned it away with a huff of disgrace.
Twilight stepped down the hill followed by Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, as did Rainbow Dash who hovered overhead.
“Maybe the animals don’t speak in this world.” Twilight suggested as the cow stared at her closely, mooing right next to her.
“Well how can they say when they want something?” asked Fluttershy, “Also, who takes care of them here?” Fluttershy began to panic at the thought that these cows weren't being looked after. Twilight came to her aid on that to calm her down.
“Don’t worry Fluttershy, this world’s different, they probably don’t need anypony to look after them.”Twilight said trying to ease the situation. The cows continued to graze randomly, lousing interest in the ponies and moving away a few blocks, Twilight decided that it was probably best to so the same and move on, her friends followed close by, wondering what else they would see that was different to Equestria.

Chapter III: Time to Mine!
In another settlement, located within a gap in a block mountainside, Steve focused his attention onto another of his wooden work benches that he had constructed, hunching over in order to see the items on its top. The top of the work bench was decorated with nine flat squares, three on top and three on the bottom, with some of the squares occupied by items. On the top three squares were three individual Stone Blocks, one on each square, on the very center square was a Wooden Stick, the rest of the squares were empty.
Steve had in his block had another Stick; he raised it up to put it on the table, a look of concentration on his face as he placed the stick on the bottom middle square. Suddenly all of the items on the work bench surface fused together in but a fraction of a second, becoming another of Steve’s Stone block Pickaxes. Steve picked up his newly made Stone Pickaxe and sighed in regret.
“Ok then,” he started to say to himself, his eyes were sunken down, “Let’s try this, again. Hopefully I can get me some Iron this time.”
Steve turned on his block feet and headed away from his work bench towards a two block tall wooden door, he opened it to revile a pathway leading down into the depths of the mountain, and the walls were lit with torches descending down into the dimly lit tunnel. Steve shut the door behind him and descended; deeper and deeper he went down the tunnel until he came to where he left off. Raising his Pickaxe, he began to mine away at the stone blocks making him go deeper and deeper, collecting every single stone block he mined, and when he reached a certain point he placed another torch on the wall to light up for the next area. Suddenly Steve broke a stone reviling an open area, a cave.
“Oh this is more like it.” Steve said with joy, reasoning his faith. Steve finished mining away at the blocks blocking his entry into the cave and stepped onto the first bit of flat ground, looking around to take inventory of his surroundings. The cave was dark, undiscovered, but not anymore as Steve places several torches on the walls, illuminating the darkness to reveille the stone walls surrounding him, within the wall was a strange looking block, it was colored the same as the stone, but it had small traces of black randomly placed inside.
“Oh great more Coal,” Steve stated, this was apparently good news to him. As he continued to place torches, he came across another strange block, looking exactly like the coal block, but instead of black traces, these were brown colored, the sight of this made Steve’s eyes light up like fire.
“Yes, Iron!” he screamed at the top of his lungs, he had been searching for this for ages. Steve began to mine away at the iron ore blocks like the stone blocks, as it disappeared, absorbed by Steve, he reviled a secondary block of iron ore, which he mined without hesitation, causing him to mine away at the stone blocks in hope that he struck more.
Steve didn’t notice at first, but something was approaching him from behind, it made no noise as it walked towards him, silently and swift it approached, closing the distance between itself and its target within seconds. Steve finished mining around where he found the iron ore, finding an additional three pieced further down from where the first two were found, a big smile came across his face as he turned to head deeper into the cave, he stopped suddenly with eyes light thunder as he saw what stood behind him, a block creature with light green colored skin, its head was the size as a normal block and its body was slightly taller but more slimmer, no sign of any arms but standing on four stumpy feet, it’s face was a simple design, two eyes that were nothing more than small two by two black squares, the rest of its face was formed in the shape of a toothless black colored block like frown.
The creature began to hiss suddenly and glow slightly white, Steve yelled in desperation to escape from what was to happen next, and with that, the green creature exploded, creating a large puff of smoke and destroying many of the stone blocks it stood on and on the wall.

It was starting to get darker outside, the bright sun was slowly staring to set, Turing the landscapes many bright colours into a slightly more orange effected picture, night would soon be upon them. The six ponies continued to progress through the wilderness of the block world, they came at this point to more trees, not enough for a forest, Pinkie Pie stopping occasionally to smell the bright flowers that coloured the ground.
Rarity stopped suddenly, hearing a faint sound from underneath when she trotted,
“Did anypony else hear that?” she asked aloud for any of her friends to answer, to which they turned and looked at her for a moment.
“Hear what?” asked Fluttershy.
“That faint thundering noise, sounded like it came from underground.”
“Nope, sorry,” Applejack admitted, “You sure you’re not hearing things?”
“I’m sure I heard something.”
“Fluttershy,” started Rainbow Dash, “Sure it’s not your stomach again?” Fluttershy began to blush out of embarrassment. Twilight then noticed something out in the distance, a land mark; she broke into a gallop as she got closer to get a good view of it.
“Girls, look at this!” Twilight shouted back to her friends who joined her in seconds. They looked across the way to see a tall stone block mountain that reached up into the sky, decorated with dirt blocks on top and buried into the mountain itself.
“A mountain,” stated Rainbow Dash with an unimpressed expression and tone, “Your getting excited, over a mountain.” Twilight looked to her friend with an annoyed look on her face.
“Yes a mountain, but looked there,” Twilight gestures with a hoof that in the mountainside was a hole, a little bit of a climb up but excellent shelter, “We could set up camp in that hole there for the night.” The other ponies looked at one another, each with a different expression or two on their faces, Rarity didn’t like the idea of resting in what she assumed a smelly old cave, Fluttershy was scared of the idea of sleeping in a dark open area like that, Pinkie Pie wasn’t too sure about it either, and Applejack and Rainbow Dash didn’t really give much thought to it, they were fine with it. Twilight could see that they had their doubts about it, she too wasn’t one hundred percent sure on the matter, but the sun was going down, they needed to find somewhere and fast.
“Ok, how about this?” began Twilight, turning to face her friends, “I’ll go up there and make sure it’s safe, if not, we find somewhere else, ok?” She was about to leave when Rainbow Dash flew in front of her, hooves extended to block her way more.
“Woah, woah, woah, wait a minute!” she demanded st she blocked Twilight's path, “You’ve not going up there alone, what if there’s anything up there?” Twilight was surprised with Rainbow Dash, showing so much concern for her.
“Rainbow Dash is right Twilight, you can’t go up there, anything could be in that place.” suggested Applejack. A small smile came to Twilight's face.
“Ok then, so we’ll go up together.” Twilight decided, and started to head out with Rainbow Dash hovering nearby; Pinkie Pie was close by hopping along, but stopped suddenly as they say that Rarity and Fluttershy weren't moving.
“What’s up girls?” asked Pinkie Pie. Fluttershy was cowering behind a close by tree at this point, hiding herself away from the mountainside, poking her head around the block trunk to face her friends.
“I’m sorry Twilight,” Fluttershy began to whimper, “But I have a bad feeling about that place.” Rarity began to shuffle to where Fluttershy was hiding.
“I’d best stay with her, for protection reasons.” Rarity suggested, giving a fake smile, it was obvious she was scared as well; she just didn’t want to show it. Applejack sighed with an unenthusiastic expression on her face and trotted over to Rarity and Fluttershy, turning to face the others.
“You three go on ahead, I’ll stay here and keep an eye on these two.” She said with confidence. Twilight nodded and set off for the hole in the mountain with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.
The sun had fully set, and the large moon of the world hung in the sky, giving way for the stars to show themselves. The three ponies arrived at the hole in the mountain; it was a climb to get up there, luckily for Rainbow Dash and Twilight they had wings to fly up, even so Pinkie Pie didn’t seem to struggle either, hopping on block after block, trying to climb higher to the hole. Once they reached the top, Rainbow Dash noticed that there was a light coming from the hole.
“Hey look,” she said gesturing towards the dim glow, she turned her head to Twilight in the air, “What you think that is?” Twilight looked slightly concerned.
“I don’t know, “she admitted without trying to hide it, “But whatever it is, be best not make too much noise on the way up.” All three of the ponies reached the hole and looked inside, there wasn’t much to looked at, just two block shaped torches attached to the wall, lighting up the inside, showing the hole was in fact a small cave, with the far end of it covered up by crudely constructed stone, each block having many cracks in them, on the side of the wall with the torches was a two block wide wooden box, next it that was some form of wooden table and a strange looking oven, also there was a two block long bed near the rear of the cave, on the other side other the cave was a solid grey block wall with a two block high wooden door inserted.
“What is all this?” asked Pinkie Pie as she whispered to her friends next to her.
“Looks like a camp.” answered Twilight.
“Yeah, but for what?” questioned Rainbow Dash is a panic. All three of the ponies stared at this strange looking layout, what was any of this.
Suddenly, the wooden door burst open on its hinges, making the ponies retread behind the mountains thick wall to conceal them. Twilight poked her head round a little to see, followed by Rainbow Dash on top and Pinkie Pie in the middle, through the door emerged a strange block creature, dark brown hair and a light blue shirt with blue jeans and grey shoes, it stumbled a little towards the wooden box, closing the door behind him.
“What is that thing Twilight?” whimpered Rainbow Dash; she was scared, as were the others.
“I don’t know.” Twilight replied, shivering with fear. They watched the block creature limping over to box and open it.
“Darn Creepers,” said the block creature with a grunt, “Notch only knows how they came into being.” The creature seemed to be placing items into the box, a collection of different stone blocks, some of them had hit of brown coloring in them, afterwards it pulled out some form of brown colored object, and it looked like it had been cooked in some way, the creature then walked towards it’s bed at the back of the cave, chewing on the brown object in its block hand, so it was some form of food, after a few bites, the creature seemed a bit more springy, it’s energy had been restored.
Pinkie Pie lost her balance on the rock she was stranding on and fell with a thumping noise onto the cave surface, Twilight and Rainbow Dash gasped in shock and fear, the impact also caught the attention of the creature, who span round to see what was there.
Lying on the floor before Steve was a small pink colored baby horse with a pink mane; its eyes were closed as it rubbed its chin in pain from the impact.
“Hu, a Horse?” he questioned as it lay in front of him, rubbing the top of his head with his block hand, “What’s it doing so far away from the Plains, and how did it even get up here?” Steve had many questions. The pink creature looked at him with panic in its eyes, Steve saw it was frightened; he approached slowly with an outreached block hand showing he meant no harm to it.
“It’s ok little guy,” Steve said in a slightly sounding baby voice, “I’m not going to hurt you.” The pink creature’s expression changed to a look of nauseous confusion, like it didn’t understand what Steve was talking about, it began to raise itself to stand on it four legs but continues to stare at him.
“What do ya mean ‘little guy’, I’m not a guy.” Pinkie Pie exploded loudly. The sudden outburst caused the block creature to back away in shock a bit at the sound of her speaking.
“Wait! You... You can talk?” questioned the creature, open mouthed and speechless.
“Well duh, of course I can talk,” Pinkie replied back to creature, “I’ve always been able to talk. I don’t remember when I started but that was a long time ago, probably when I was a little filly.” Pinkie Pie began to smile at the creature, she had lost all her fright, seeming to pass it on to the creature in front of her.
“But this is impossible, how can you talk?” the creature continued to question, its arms outstretched in gesture to both of them pointing to Pinkie Pie, “None of the other Horses in this world talk, how can you? Also, you’re pink, why or how are you pink?” the creatures voice began to get slightly squeaky from the shock of it all near the end of his questioning. Pinkie Pie closed her eyes and placed a hoof on her face as she gently shook it side to side, a way they showed she wasn’t impressed with the creatures lacking knowledge of how a pony looks.
“First off,” Pinkie Pie began, “I’m a pony, secondly, all ponies can talk, duh, lastly, I don’t know why I’m pink really. My dad’s brown/ orange and my mom’s white/grey, do they make pink if you mix them together? I don’t know, I guess not because my sisters are light grey and light purple. So yeah I don’t know.” The block creature just stared aimlessly at Pinkie Pie for a few seconds; it didn’t know what to say.
The creature looked behind the pink pony and noticed something behind the wall, two sets of eyes pocking around to see what was going on.
“Hu?” was the creature’s response. Pinkie Pie turned her head to see what caught the block creature’s attention; she saw it was Rainbow Dash and Twilight still looking into the cave.
“Its ok girls you can come on in, he seems nice.” Pinkie Pie said with a jolly tone, a smile soon following.
Steve watched as another two small ponies walked into his cave, now he was even more confused than ever. The one of them was a cerulean colour with purple eyes and rainbow colored hair and tail, it seemed to have wings sprouting out of its side, the second was violet colored with a dark purple hair and tail with two lines of hair a different colour on both, one was purple the other was crimson, it also had wings but with the addition of something projecting out of the forehead, a horn of some kind.
“What the... there’s more of them?” Steve asked in surprise, one small talking creature with a stranger than average colour was one thing, but three, even thought the other two hadn’t spoken yet he assumed as much since the pink one was talking to them.
“Sorry for the inconvenience sir.” the violet once apologized, her eyes were a sad look.
“Yeah sorry.” agreed the cerulean pony, her eyes mirroring her violet companion. Holding his head in his block hand, Steve closed his eyes and walked around his cave for about seven seconds before coming back to the three ponies, he gave out a relaxing sigh to calm himself down before speaking.
“Ok... let’s start again shall we?” suggested Steve, “Who are all of you and how did you get here?”
Twilight readied herself to speak but was interrupted by Pinkie Pie.
“Well we were helping out Twilight in the library move some books, Fluttershy was carrying a few away when one fell on Twilight’s head, we opened it up and there was some really, really funny shapes in the book,” Pinkie Pie gave out a short giggle, “Then it started to glow and started to suck Twilight into the book,” Pinkie Pie whizzed over to the back of Twilight as she was facing forwards, Pinkie Pie then grabbed hold of Twilight’s ankle and held her leg up, causing Twilight to have a hollowed blank expression on her face with shrunken eyes as her friend posed her where she stood, she then bean to blush. “Me and Fluttershy held this leg,” she let go of Twilight’s leg, letting it fall back to the ground, in the split of a second Pinkie Pie grabbed hold of the end of Twilight’s tail in her teeth and pulled it hard, causing Twilights face to change to a shocked surprise, as her friend yanked at her rear, she began to blush in embarrassment. “While Rainbow Dash pulled on her tail like this,” Pinkie Pie continues with teeth full. She let go of Twilight’s tail, causing Twilight to get whiplash from its release, striking her rear and Twilight yelped a little in pain. “But that wasn’t enough to stop us from getting sucked into the book, when we woke up, we were here.” Pinkie Pie finally finished with a grin and a squeaking noise. Throughout that explanation, Rainbow Dash stood back and watched the madness unfold, the whole time with a confused look on her face, not understanding what she just say.
The block creature stared at Pinkie pie with half opened eyes and a deadpan expression.
“None of what you just said made any sense whatsoever nor did it help me in any way understand what the block you’re supposed to be.” he said with hardly any effort put into his expression, possible he became confused of bored half way through.
“Seriously Pinkie, I was with you the whole time and even I didn’t understand what you just said.” confessed Rainbow Dash with a look of irritation. Twilight was also looking at her a little irritated, possible for the other reason though.
“Wait,” began the block creature, “Her name is Pinkie? And she’s pink?”
“Well yeah, she lives up to her name,” Rainbow Dash answered, “In more ways than one.” The block creature looked at them all in weird expectance; to think that a pink pony named Pinkie was normal to them worried him. Twilight saw that she had to break the tension a little to calm down the situation.
“Sorry about that,” Twilight apologized, “I’m Twilight Sparkle.”
“Princess Twilight Sparkle!” interjected Pinkie Pie, trying to remind her friend who she was; all she got was a stern look of disapproval.
“This is Rainbow Dash,” she said gesturing to her friend, who replied with a confident and moderate smile, as if saying, that’s my name so remember it, “And this is Pinkie Pie,” Pinkie Pie reacted with a giddy smile of joy. The block creature seemed less confused now, but unsure as to why.
“So let me see if I’ve got this right,” he started to plan out his words carefully, “You’re all ponies?”
“Yep.” Pinkie Pie answered.
“You speck.”
“Uh hu.” Rainbow Dash commented.
“The two of you have wings, so you can fly right?”
“More or less, yes” corrected Twilight.
“And you’re a Princess because you have wings and a horn on your head.”
“I guess, yeah.”
“And you all have obvious names that can easily distinguish who all of you are.” Rainbow Dash looked at him confused, then looked at Twilight for confirmation.
“Distin-” she began, but Twilight was quick enough to answer before she finished the word.
“It means to tell us all apart.” She said.
“Oh ok,” Rainbow Dash replied to say she understood now, “Then yeah, that too.” The block creature stared at them for a while, trying to make sense of it all.
“Ok that Creeper must of hit me harder than I thought,” he began to babble to himself, “either that and I’m dead, or this is really happening.”
“I know this is a bit strange,” Twilight said trying to clear up the many questions in his head, “But we are real.” The creature gave a sigh of defeat as he realized that what the violet pony was saying must be true, coming to terms with the situation.
“Oh boy, the things I get myself into,” he said as he wiped a block hand down his face, “Well Princess, nice to meet you I guess.” He offered out one of his block hands as a token of good will, it came down to Twilight’s eye level, seeing this she raised a hoof level and shook them in a friendly greeting.
“Just Twilight’s fine.” Twilight suggested, she didn’t care for formalities.
“Name’s Steve,” said the block creature, they finished shacking in whatever fashion you could name it as Steve moved to the open end of the cave where Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were standing, he turned to face the three ponies and pointed out to the block landscape, “Welcome to Overworld.”
“Ooh, so this world is called ‘Overworld’ that makes sense.” Twilight said in a tone of realization.
“Why’s that?” Steve asked.

Chapter I: Taking Inventory
A clearing opened up to the other side of the Everfree Forest, reviling the reins of the Castle of the Two Sisters in all its glory, or what was left of it. Along the pathway that led to the castle, Princess Twilight Sparkle trotted towards a nearby bridge that was the only way to gain access to the castle, she was exited, and for good reason from her view. She looked behind her to see her friends pacing themselves to come join her.
“Come on girls,” Twilight said with much enthusiasm, “Oh I can’t WAIT to get started.” She began to cross the bridge to the other side, despite the fact she could fly with her wing, one of the many abilities an Alicorn Princess is gifted.
“Twilight, darling,” began Rarity as she and the others began to cross the bridge, “I know your excited about going into the Castle Library, but could you possible slow down a little?”
“It ain’t any good Rarity,” answered Applejack on Twilight’s behalf, not that Twilight could hear as far ahead as she was, “She’s too excited to listen.”
“I don’t see why,” grumped Rainbow Dash, hovering above the others, her forehooves crossed in a sulk, “There just a load of dusty, old book.”
“You’re just in a sulk ’cause you didn’t get to go to that Wonderbolt convention.” stated Applejack.
“How was I supposed to know it was on the same day Twilight wanted to move these all the books out?”
“She did tell us all about a month ago Rainbow Dash.” replied Fluttershy at the back.
“And she did ask if we were free, remember?” asked Applejack.
“Yeah, but that was before I knew The Wonderbolts were having a big get-together in Cloudsdale.” Rainbow Dash moaned.
“You only found out about it last week.”
“Whatever,” Rainbow Dash continues to grump, “All I need to do is do my fare share of work in time so I can get back to Cloudsdale before it ends.”
As all of the ponies finally crossed the bridge, Twilight was waiting for them, ready to speak to them all.
“I just want to say how happy I am that you all could make it today,” Twilight said in a giddy voice, like a young filly that just got a new doll, “As you all know, Canterlot is opening up a new Grand Library soon. It will be the sight off all the greatest collections of books, parchments, notes, and all other type of literature.” Twilight began to squee in joy an excitement.
When she snapped out of her day dream, she saw her friends looking at her in worry if she was alright; Twilight began to blush before composing herself.
“Anyway, Princess Celestia wants all of the old books from here moved to the new Library. We’re here to sort them out into the different categories, ready to be moved next week.”
“Next week!” Rainbow Dash stated in shock, “So why are we doing this now if the move isn't till next week?”
“Well if we get everything ready for the moving ponies, than it will make their job easier.” replied Twilight. Rainbow Dash gave a grown of frustration to herself, the logic didn’t make sense to her, but she couldn't do anything to stop it.
The six ponies began to head inside, deep into the Caste until they reached the Library. As they approached the entrance to the Library, they stopped just before they headed in, with was a sea of books, row upon row, stack upon stack, shelf upon shelf, endless knowledge as far as the eye could see. Twilight grinned long and hard, she was looking forward to it, her friends expressions however did not mirror the same enthusiasm so much, Applejack and Rarity were in shock for they didn’t think there would be even more that the ones that Twilight has in her Castle, Fluttershy was worried, Rainbow Dash groaned and hit her head against one of the Library doors in frustration, trying to relief the tension a little to no prevail, and Pinkie Pie ran straight into the Library, diving into a large stack of books in the same fashion as diving into a pool.
“Pinkie!” shouted Twilight. Pinkie Pie emerged from the books like an erupting volcano.
“Yes Twilight?” she replied.
“I know you’re exited to do this, I am as well, but we need to keep as many books as we can intact if they’re going to be used again.” Pinkie gave a generate nod to Twilight in response saying that she understood.
All of the ponies started to head into the Library, some more wide eyed than others at the vast density of paper, but most were in shock with how much was to do. It would take them the rest of the week to do so, that was the thought running around in Rainbow Dash’s head, and although they didn’t share her lay-backed sentiment, Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack did admit that they may have bitten off more than they could chew by accepting to help. Their friend needed their help however, and they swore by their friendship to help her, no matter what.
Rainbow Dash flew up high to the roof of the Library to see how many bookshelves there were to empty, her eyes sunk at the sight. Row after row of shelves lay ahead, each filled with books, parchments and other forms of knowledge and documentation.
“We’re going to be here forever!” She exploded, her voice echoing throughout the room, it caught the attention of Twilight who was too happy for her smile to leave her face as she answered.
“If only!” she shouted back, “Let’s get started then, I can’t wait.”
Twilight flew over to the other side of the Library to take in how much was to do, but unlike her friends realization to the quantity of books, every shelf passed as she flew by made her even more exited, even though it wasn’t the first time she had visited the Library. Every shelf reviled more and more, to which Twilight smiled more and more until her face was half smile, half eyes in awe. Finally satisfied she flew back to her friends taking a brief look at some of the books already placed near the Library door.
“Isn't this just great?” asked Twilight, hovering above her friends. They simply looked back at her with half effective emotions, lingering closer to loathe than joy.
“Well, there sure are a lot of book to pack,” stated Applejack, “You do know we won’t be able to get all this done in a day right?”
“Oh, of course not,” answered Twilight, “That’s why there’s tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that.” Rainbow Dash continued to groan in boredom, Twilight's joy wasn't helping seeing that this was her fantasy come true, which meant it was Rainbow Dash's nightmare made manifest.
“Do we get to go home before lunch, because I have to feed all of my animals and...” started Fluttershy, but was soon interrupted by Twilight flying closer to her, a giddy expression on her face.
“Oh don’t worry about that Fluttershy, I asked Spike to stay behind and help take care of them.” The very words made Fluttershy’s eyes sink with grief and dismay, what little confidence she had was slowly being dashed as Twilight went on.
“Oh dear,” Fluttershy began, “I they’ll be ok.”
“Don’t worry yourself there Sugercube,” said Applejack, trying to comfort her friend, “Spike’s great with critters, they’ll be fine.”

Back at Fluttershy’s cottage, spike lay on the floor tied up with rope; various creatures surrounded him, laughing in amusement at what they had done, a white rabbit was on top of him, holding a wooden spoon and looking at him manically, with a plan in its head on what they were going to do with their little prisoner.
“Well great.” Said Spike in a deadpan fashion, as if he expected this to happen, before he was hit on the head by the wooden spoon.

“It’s not the animals I’m worried about.” admitted Fluttershy. Applejack was a little confused with her repose.
All of the ponies spent no expense in getting started, they all set off to their task, possible to get as much done as possible so they finish quicker, Rainbow Dash was certainly thinking that. As book after book was emptied of the shelves, they were passed down to where a pile was being made, creating a chain if you will, a conveyor belt in which the books were being arranged. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash being Pegasi would fly up to the higher bookshelves to retrieve the books were as Rarity would levitate some books down to Pinkie Pie who passed them down to Applejack to form into piles, and organisation and stock checking was something that Applejack was good at. Like down on Sweet Apple Archers, when the apples were to be harvested, they would need to be organised correctly in order for them to be shipped in the right fashion, same with the books in the Library. Making sure that each pile was the right height not to fall down and cause a collapse of the previous piles, also making sure each pile is compact enough so that they were easy to move once they needed to.
On the other side of the Library, Twilight dealt with the more delicate of books, and having a large collection herself, she knew they best way to care for them. Twilight was by nature a Bibliophilia, somepony who loved seeking, locating, acquiring, organizing, cataloguing, displaying, storing, and maintaining whatever books are of interest, a Bookworm or Egghead in the understanding of Rainbow Dash. This didn’t bother Twilight, she was happy to admit to being somepony who loved her books for their content, or otherwise just for reading.
Many bookshelves were empty at this point; close up it was a grand achievement, but when compared to the full capacity of what was left to do, they had hardly made a dent. Rainbow Dash wasn't happy, if fact she hadn't had a single moments joy since entering the Castle. That was changed when she came across a book of interest to her.
“Wow!” she gave out in amazement, “This is awesome.”
“What is?” asked Rarity, turning her head to face her friends outburst. Before she knew it, a book was being shoved in front of her muzzle to get her full attention, “The Wonderbolts Guide to Flying” A quizzical look came to her face as she looked at the book.
“I didn't know the Wonderbolts wrote book.” admitted Fluttershy, hovering nearby.
“I know right!” Rainbow Dash said excitedly, much like Twilight earlier, her voice squeaky with joy.
Quick as a flash, she flew over to where Twilight was working, flying extremely close to her personal bubble of space.
“TWILIGHT!” she shouted, causing Twilight to jump in shock and lose concentration of the books she was levitating with her magic. Twilight turned to see Rainbow Dash was holding a book, and that she was happy for a change, which was slightly worrying to Twilight, the only time Rainbow Dash had ever been exited about a book was when it was a Daring Doo Novel, not this time though, but when Twilight saw the title it made sense.
“The Wonderbolts Guide to Flying” she said reading out the title again to Rainbow Dash, “Why am I not surprised you fount this?” Even though the question was rhetorical, Rainbow Dash still answered with another question.
“Oh please can I borrow this?”
Twilight pondered for a few minutes as she looked around the room at all the different books there were, a small thought began to form in her mind.
“Well...” Twilight began, still pondering, “There are lots and lots of books here.”
“Tell me about it.” Rainbow Dash said to herself.
“Ok, how about this; if you help me with these books today, you get to keep that book, sound fair?” Rainbow Dash gave out a gasping shock, to think that she would be able to keep the secrets to the Wonderbolts; it was a big deal to her.
“REALLY?” Rainbow Dash shouted excitedly, to which she began to swirl around in happiness.
“Actually, come to think of it,” Twilight said with a slightly raised voice so that all of her friends could hear her, “If anypony finds a book or two that they like, you can keep it as well. I’m sure they won’t mind a few books being taken.” All of her ponies agreed that that was an agreeable arrangement, who knows, they could find some books that would be to their fancy or interest like Rainbow Dash’s find, this was enough to give the others confidence, who knows what they could find. A book on all you could each cake recipes for Pinkie Pie? Fashion from the golden age for Rarity? Crop rotation made easier for Applejack? An animal caring guide for Fluttershy? There were many possibilities, maybe even something for Twilight.
Many minutes more went by, and the piles of books began to climb ever higher and in greater quantity, to think that all these books would soon go to a newer Library and be used as they should; it filled Twilight with much joy.
As Fluttershy was moving a book from a high shelf, she accidentally cause another book next to the one she was moving to fall, but she was unable to do anything to stop it because her hooves where full up. As it hurtled towards the ground, Fluttershy noticed that Twilight was walking below and was unaware of the falling book. Shocked by fear of her hurting herself, Fluttershy gasped loudly.
“TWILIGHT LOOK OUT!” she shouted at the top of her lungs. Twilight was made aware of the shout and looked up to where Fluttershy was hovering, too late to realize the falling book which impacted straight into her muzzle. Upon making contact with Twilight, it made a loud thwacking noise and bounced onto the floor. Twilight gave out a short shriek of pain as she sat on the floor holding her muzzle, Fluttershy flew as quick as she could to her friend, placing the books she was holding onto the floor next to her.
“Oh my goodness!” Fluttershy panicked in her speech, “I am so sorry Twilight! I didn't know that was going to happen! Please don’t hate me!” Twilight looked up to see her friend was close to tears from what happened, even thought it wasn't her fault entirely. Lifting herself up still holding her muzzle with one hoof, Twilight sat up straight. Her muzzle was flaming red where it had made contact with the book, she was lucky that she wasn’t bleeding.
“Its fine Fluttershy,” reassured Twilight to her friend, “Honestly, Accidents happen.”
“I am so sorry.” Fluttershy was wiping tears from her face at this point, fragile and sensitive that she was.
Seeing this, the rest of the ponies quickly made haste over to her.
“Are you ok Twilight?” asked Pinkie Pie. Twilight gave a slow nod and rubbed her muzzle a few more times before standing back up, looking to where the book that hit her had rested. Finally finding it she trotted over towards it. The book was nothing special, just a simple brown colored book on the outside, with a red ribbon and golden buckle to keep it shut.
“What’s in this book, rocks?” Twilight asked in agony. She picked up the book to get a closer look; she noticed it was sealed for some reason. On the cover of the book as a strange picture, a 3D looking cube that was brown all around, but had green on the top of it, above read the title ‘Overworld’ in strange font text.
“Overworld, never heard of this book before.” said Twilight still rubbing her muzzle.
“Why is it all bound up like that?” asked Rarity.
“Must be a really old book or somthin’,” answered Applejack. Twilight began to open the book from its hold; the lock on it was surprisingly weak to open from the outside.
As it was opened, on the pages that it fell, it showed wording of a strange language, a language that Twilight couldn't understand, nor could any of her friends. The text was a series of block shaped rectangles and squares in weird patterns and symbols, nothing close to understandable, let alone readable.
“This doesn't make any sense,” stated Twilight, she looked closer at the books markings on the page, “what dose...”
Suddenly the text on the pages began to glow a bright light that illuminated the whole of the room, all of the ponies gave out a shocking gasp as they were engulfed by the light. A strong vacuum like wind was created, sucking hard and long, seeking to ensnare the reader of the book into its pages. Twilight was being forced into the pages of the book itself, dragging her in muzzle first.
Seeing this, her friends quickly came to her rescue, trying to stop her from being absorbed by the vacuum, but Twilight continues to descend into the book. Applejack and Rarity held one of Twilight's back legs, as was Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash had a hold of Twilight’s tail in her mouth as she was pulling on in like a tuck of war, but it was not enough to stop her, for the vacuum was too strong. As a result of their wasted efforts, all six ponies were sucked into the pages of the book, screaming as they were all absorbed. The vacuum that sucked them in quickly disappeared once the ponies were gone, as did the bright light, with that, the cover of the book shut closed and fell to the floor cover up.

Deep inside of a grey stone block like mine, Steve hacked away at the stone with some form of block Pickaxe made out of stone itself. As he hit the blocks with this Stone Pickaxe, the block disappeared from the wall and shrank to a smaller size which was quickly absorbed by Steve. Not placed into a bag or eaten, just disappearing into him.
“Oh boy,” he sighed to himself, “There has got to be some Iron around here somewhere,” as he finished those words, his Stone Pickaxe shattered into small shards that disappeared from existence and Steve gave out a grunt of annoyance, “Oh for Notch sake, that was my last one!”
Steve placed a block hand on his face and sighed again, he then turned around and started to head back up the crudely designed mine tunnel he had made.
“Great, no Iron and no more Pickaxes,” sighing as he spoke, “Can anything else possible happen today?”
