I fucking hate Stable-Tec. Oh hello there, I am Fleetfoot, former Wonderbolt captain and sexiest mare in the world. What you were just listening to is a message I sent out to all nearby Rising Phoenix facilities. Yes yes I know, I know, not the most appropriate message for a commander of a military installation to send out, but I just really fucking hate Stable-Tec. Like really hate Stable-Tec, let me give you an example. Way back when, I was one lucky first ponies to test out the pip-bucks. I was there in the first place because I happened to be visiting Stable-Tec in Fillydephia, while on leave. I was asked by Scootaloo if I had time to spare. I agreed to help, since this was a great oppritunitey to try out new technology and try to become technologically savy like that Applebloom, who made the Pip-Buck. When first testing the thing, with it strapped to my hoof, it worked great. It was simple and not to complicated that only an egghead could use it. Everything was going great, until the part with that S.A.T.S thing. The Pip-Buck went haywire do and ended with the damn thing catching fire. The thing gave me some third degree burns and put me in the hospital for three weeks. I was of course compensated for my injuries by Scootaloo who apologied to me like a hundred times. I told it was fine and she has nothing to be sorry for, It wasn't her fault in the first place, which took for ever to convince her it wasn't. I really didn't blame her, but I did blame the Pip-Buck itself. Fucking Stable-Tec
Ok, I'm getting off track here. Now where was I....oh yeah, Project Rising Phoenix! Rising Phoenix was a project that was started in secret by the Ministry of Morale. Yeah I know right? This totally doesn't sound like a project that Pinkie Pie would start, but it was. I actually managed to ask her why she came up with such a ridiculous idea and this is the answer I got. "Well I can't just tell you Fleety, it's going to be a surprise!" That's about all I got from her besides hearing her ramble about something called pinkie sense. Now that I think about it, I believe the Ministry of Image got involve for the last parts of the project. Man...that Rarity is a hot piece of candy... Oh crap, did I just say that? Uh just ignore that last part. Anyway, the idea behind the project was that if the world was thrown into chaos, then who would be around to rein in the chaos? That's where me and my Alpha Phoenix Pegasuses would come in. Me and a select group of Pegasuses, would be sealed in a bunker and placed in a magically induced coma for a certain amount of time, until the fallout of the Megaspells cleared and the magic radiation cleared from the air to safe levels. Me and my Pegasuses would wake up once everything on the surface was safe and begin to head out to the Stables to began aiding the ponies that are inside. Oh, if your wondering how the hell I'm still able to operate in the field at my age, when technically I'm older than those ministry mares, it's thanks to some experiment that the Ministry of Acrane Science was cooking up that ended badly for everypony besides myself. Yeah, it seems I have a bad track record with experiments. Anyway, I managed to survive whatever happened that day, which I still can't remember much about. The awesome thing was that It gave me my youth back. At that point in time, before the accident I was too old to aid in the frontlines, but after the accident I was able to return to help out my fellow bolts. Now let me explain something before I continue and you're just left all get confused and shit. Age spells do exists, but area temporary thing that don't last forever without a continuous supply of magic from the unicorn that casted it in the first place. The thing that happened to me did not involve the age spell. My magical mishap happened with this nasty stuff called taint. I will not explain what it is because I'm legally not allowed to discuss without the permission from both the Minitry of Arcane Science and the princesses. Plus I sort of don't remember what exactly happened that day. Ok, there you go, I explained Project Rising Phoenix, within legal capacity. I will not explain anymore, because I fear princess Luna more than anything. That crazy bitch scares the shit out of me and I don't want to be on her bad side. So yeah... That's about it. Now I'll continue off where I left off when that recording stopped.

I couldn't believe my eyes on what I was seeing. In front of me was my left hoof, jammed a good amount into the terminal of a Stable Tec computer. The very terminal that ran the communications for Bunker Alpha, the same bunker that I was still in, under a couple hundred tons of rock and dirt. This is a Pegasus's worst nightmare. Trapped in a small room, underground with no way to communicate to the outside world, let alone having access to the open skies. I should be panicking right now. I really should, but for whatever reason fear never sets in. All I can do is laugh. Laugh until I no longer can stand and fall to the floor, with my hoof still stuck into the terminal.
"Hee he he ha ha, I... I c..an't st..op laau hee ha ha ha laughing! This I...is to ha ha ha too funny!" I continued to laugh with no end in sight. I just don't know what had come over me. I couldn't help but laugh more, even with bits of metal and glass digging into my hoof and foreleg. Maybe I was laughing because in my fit of anger I finally destroyed the bane of my existence, technology. I couldn't help but laugh even more at the though of me standing over the terminal in a triumphant pose. I continued to laugh, until another thought popped into my head on why I was laughing. Or Maybe...Maybe it's the fact that I destroyed the only way for me to communicate with the rest of my company. That though cut right through my laughing fit, like the metal and glass into my hoof. The room was silent for about 10 seconds, until I burst into another round of laughter. In my mine, It was either of those two that I was sure of. But that still didn't help me from a hystrical laughing fit. I was a mad mare at this point with my excessive giggling.
Eventually, I started to calm down from my impromptu hysteria and began to collect myself off of the floor. Through out the whole time my hoof had remained inside the broken terminal. I placed my good hoof against the adjacent wall to the terminal and readied for myself to pull. "Fuuuck...this is going to hurt." I muttered to myself. In one quick motion, I yanked my hoof from the broken terminal. The moment I pulled, blood immiedatly started to pour from my open wounds. It hurt like a bitch, but the pain wasn't anything new to me. I was on the frontl, so I recieved quite a few battle scars. Some I'm proud of, others not so much.
I finally got my hoof free from that stupid terminal, but not without cost. I looked at my hoof and just looked at the damage my anger had done. My hoof looked like it had gotten stuck in the gears of that dizzy machine from the Wonderbolts academy. Dear Celestia, I hated that machine. It always made me hurl no matter how many times I went through it. I really hate technology. Those wounds were pretty nasty looking, especially the one that still had a chunk of glass in it. I sighed to myself. "Damn it Fleetfoot, this is not the attitude of a commander. A commander has to remain calm and collected, not short fused and brash."
With a quick breathing exercise to calm myself, I limped out of the communications room and began to head towards sick bay. I entered into the hall way and was greeted by the same dull grey that greeted every pony that entered a stable. The layout of this bunker is based on the Stable-Tec stables that were used to shelter ponies from the bale fire bombs. The difference between the two is that the bunker has only the basics of the average stable and the stasis-spell chambers. Those chambers are where myself and other soldiers were put to be put to sleep through a series of complex spells that not only keep us a sleep, but also prevent our bodies from breaking down.
Before heading towards sickbay, I took a quick glance towards a certain door on the opposite end of the hall way. I shook my head and just gave a disappointing look. "Now's not the time. Worry about it later." I began to trot towards sick bay, but not before taking one last look at that door, before rounding the corner.
It didn't take long before I reached sickbay. The door opened and I was greeted by one of those robots with the actual pony brain. I shuttered at the sight of this abomination. I couldn't stand the sight of those things, but I sucked it up because my hoof needed medical attention. I walked up to the thing and in my usual military voice, got its attention. "This is Commender Fleetfoot of Alpha Phoenix, requesting medical attention!"
My voice seemed to spook the robot as it seemed to jump to attention. It turned to me and began to stare at me with those soulless eyes. It was silent for a few seconds before finally speaking. "Greetings Commander, I am Red Cross medic pony model P-77, how may I be of assistance?"
I gave it a blank expression and just lifted my blooded hoof. I didn't bother saying anything, because it's a bit obvious that my hoof needed the attention. The stupid robot just eyed me again for another few seconds. "Oh! One moment please." The robot rushed over to one of the cabnits and started pulling out a varity of stuff. After a few minutes that robot came back to me with some healing potions and some other medical stuff like bandages and disinfectant. It only took that thing a few seconds to clean out my wounds and properly wrap them in some bandages. The robot pony stood back and with a creepy smile told me that my wounds were now tended to. "Is there anything else that's needed Commander?" The medic bot ask me.
I still had my blank expression on from the moment I saw the thing. "No...you're dismissed." I said in a monotone voice. It thanked me for stoping by and I promptly left the sickbay area. The moment those doors shut and I wasn't in the immediate vicinity to sickbay, I started to shutter in disgust. "Ehh! I can't believe I let it touch me with those...those things!" I was half tempted to just rip those bandages off, but I know I have to leave them on to allow me wounds to heal properly. With a final shutter, I finally began to head towards the area that I was supposed to go to the moment I had woken up.
It only toke me a few minutes worth of a trot to reach my destination, the main terminal for Bunker Alpha. The room's layout was simple, with rows of terminals for all of those eggheads and a big monitor mounted on the wall to display what's been going on in the outside world. I trotted up to one of the terminals and booted it up. Hey, just because I hate technology, doesn't mean I don't know the basics. The moment I logged in with my password, I was meet with a shit storm of error codes and warnings that I don't even have half a clue on what they mean. I groaned in annoyance and began sifting through the system on what I could do. I spent the next hour just trying to use any program that wasn't riddled with errors. I grumbled to myself and pressed on through the system of Bunker Alpha. Eventually I had a break through with the system.
"Yes! exterior cameras to Bunker Alpha's main door." I clicked on the option to view the live feed. It took a moment for those cameras to boot because it's been an unknown amount of time since they were last used. I waited and waited and waited. I was starting to become impatient with how slow the system was taking, so I clicked on the option to view the exterior cameras again. This time I got just static from the live feed and an error message on the bottom of the screen, saying. [Error. Unable to connect due to malfunction] I groaned in anger and promptly face hoofed my head with terminal screen. "Why do you do this to me?"
Taken another round of breathing exercises, I got back to working with the terminal. With another, I don't know, hour or two, I managed to get the controls for the main door reconnected to the main system and operating. I took a sigh of relief. Finally, something going right for once. I smirked at the terminal. "See, you can't keep Fleetfoot trapped in here with your error codes. I can beat you at your own game."
Now that was said, I left the system to automated and began to head out of the main Terminal room. The only thing left for me to do was to collect my gear and head to the designated meetup point for Project Rising Phoenix. I started to head towards the main door, but not before taking one final look at the door I was eyeing earlier. I wanted to go through there, but.... It just wasn't right to head through there. With one final disappointing head shake, I continued to head to the main door for Bunker Alpha. On the path towards the main door, I have to pass through the armory, before heading out. Just because I'm the second most awesome mare, doesn't mean I can survive what ever is living in Equestria, if anything at all. I also have to protect against that awful magic radiation. I've seen what that stuff can do to a pony and I don't want it happening to me, despite the fact that this magnificent body already had a bad run in with taint.
It didn't take me long to find the armory and the storage locker that contained my gear. I walked up to the locker and punched in the combination for it. It hissed as the locks disengaged and the door slowly opened. Inside was a masterpiece of pony engineering and arcane science.
In front of me, still mounted on the wall, was the TB-52 Hurricane pegasus armor. Orginally based on the frame from the pegasus armor. It has been heavily modified, with the systems that are found in those Pip-bucks and weaponry that was still in prototype stage. Mounted on both forelegs are automatic energy pistols, which was nicknamed the Red Rain. These babies are built with self recharging spark batteries that are connected to the main power sorce of the suit, so essentially, they never run dry. That also goes for the Expermiental Buccaneer Blaze. A Rail cannon that is permanently attached to the armor, due to the fact that the only power source strong enough to power this badass of a weapon is the complex Tailsman that's contained on the underside of the suit and the fact that the recoil from it breaks the components of a normal battle sadal that keeps the weapon attached . The final weapon that's attached to the suit is the electrified tail that is tipped with a razor sharp blade. The suit also comes with a full life support system that allows me to walk in any high irradiated area. The armor also has a standard issue magical plasma rifle from the Ministry of Arcane science. The thing still requires a standard Spark battery to work. This armor is one of the most badass things I've ever seen and I'm glad it's mine to use. The only problem with the suit is the fact that it weighs a ton and a pony has to have extensive experience with aeral combat and maneuvering. If they don't, then this armor will break their bones through the G-forces that this thing generates. Plus the Buccaneer blaze's recoil breaks the average pony's collar bone and also tears several ligament muscles in the legs when fired on the ground. That's why they had only one test pony to survive that monstrosity of a suit of armor without serious injuries. That pony was me because I'm awesome. But then again, I can't last too long in it. Maybe an hour of combat at tops, before I collapse from exhaustion.
I was practically drooling at this point as I admired the masterpiece of death that stood before me. I still couldn't believe this was the armor that the Ministry of Morale or rather Pinkie Pie gave me for my position as Commander of Alpha Phoenix. Maybe this was the surprise that Pinkie said was waiting for me. If it is, then I have to find that pony's kids and give them a fucking hug. I was so giddy I instantly started to put the armor on. It took some time to get on, but it was worth it. It felt snug to me, as if it was designed to fit my body perfectly. It fit perfectly, but damn I forgot how heavy this thing can be. It was like wearing that armor from the Minitry of Technology, bulky and makes flying difficult. Then again I was a Wonderbolt for Celestia sakes so I can take the punishment.
With the TB-52 Hurricane now equipped to my body, I finally headed towards the main door for Bunker Alpha. It didn't take long for me to get there. The main entrance also served as a loading dock for the supplies that were needed to run the bunker properly. The room still looked exactly the same from the moment I entered this place. Crates of supplies, weapons, and technology scattered about, still untouched from the moment I went under. I shook my head in disappointment at the sight of all this unused material. It only brought up the thoughts of going back to that door, but I surpressed that thought. I had a mission to do and nothing is going to stop me, no matter how much it hurt.
I trotted up to the main control panel and punched in the codes that opened the huge blast doors. With a push of a hoof to a big red button, the blast doors screeched to life as they opened for the first time since they've been closed. I took a step back from the main control panel and stood in front of the blast doors. With a final breath I trotted towards the opened blast doors. "Let's finally see what those Zebras did to my home."
I took off into a run, out of the bunker. The moment I was out of the bunker i was meet by a site I didn't expect. In front of me was a camp that had been built in front of the entrance of the bunker. It looked like a shanty town to me, with a few standing structures that were taller than the average dead tree that seemed to litter the landscape. I trotted into the camp and was meet by ponies. They weren't your friendly pony from Equestria, but rather something twisted and evil in comparison. Several of ponies looked like they hadn't eaten in a long time and had that crazy psycho look to them. All of them were armed with rifles, pistols, and what seemed to be... home appliances? They were all earth ponies, so I had the advantage of air superiority. This was going to end badly... for them, so I decided to give them a chance to surrender. "Stand down or I will be forced to use lethal force." I yelled out towards them. I saw the despreation in their eyes and knew they weren't going to surrender.
"Kill it!"
That was all that was said before opening fire upon me. I Immediatly took to the sky and began to use my hoof mounted weapon, Red Rain. This caused them to scatter about and head to the shacks for cover. My flying and Red Rain didn't scare them like i expected, nor did it stop them from trying to shoot me out of the sky. I need to end this fight quick and put them into submission. I maybe a soldier, but it doesn't mean I like to shoot ponies that look like they hadn't eating in weeks. Before doing another strafing run through the largest group of hostiles, I spotted something hanging from a dead tree. It was a banner that said surprise with Pinkie pie's face on it. I could only stare at that banner in utter disbelief.
"This is some sick kind of surprise Pinkie." I said before returning fire back to the hostiles that were still peppering me with bullets.
Fallout Equestria: LoneBolt
"Fucking die, flying demon!!!"
I rolled to the right the moment I heard that pony shout at me. Good thing to, because I was soon meet by an explosion at the spot I was just standing. The blast of the explosion didn't do any damage to me thanks to my armor. But I didn't get away Scott free though. The concussive blast from the explosion was causing some serious ringing in my ears, since it was one of the few spots of my body that wasn't covered in thick plated armor.
The shock of the explosion quickly wore off though. I had found that I happened to have rolled into one of the hostile pony's home. Good thing to because it would of been very stupid of me to fight out in the open like that. Plus it would be breaking Pegasus combat rule number one. With a quick patting against my foreleg, I wiped the dirt off my armor and processed to look up to see what I could use as cover in this tiny shack.
What I saw decorating this shack horrified me. Dead ponies. Dead ponies that were strung up by meat hooks, chains, and nails. It wasn't even whole ponies, just their parts. Some heads over there, maybe a leg or two from the ceiling, and some intestants as the base boards. It was like it was some kind of sick and twisted new fad of modern art. The sight of butchered pony parts was too much for even my war harden senses. I felt sick to my stomach from this display of horror. I swiftly removed my respirator that was covering my mouth and proceeded to empty my stomach onto the dirt floor. The smell of this place didn't really help either. I took one whiff of the shack that I was in. My nose was meet by the smell of death and sewage. I promptly vomited the rest of the stuff that was still in my stomach out.
With the contents of my stomach now on splattered on the floor, I placed my respirator back over my muzzle. With the respirator reconnected back to my helmet, I cleared out the foul odor that managed to get in my mask. That was the worst thing... I've ever smelled. How can these...these...no. They're not ponies...they're...they're something else.
Now that my mind was refocused on the situation at hoof, I began checking the perimeter by looking out the adjacent window in the shack. I saw nothing except more shacks that were made out of rusted metal. There was no sign of the hostiles, not even a sound of shouting. It was eery to me, so I kept my guard up. I wasn't lucky enough to receive that Eyes Forward Sparkle system in this armor, so I had no idea where the hostiles were. Why wasn't I attacked? My vomiting fit would have been the perfect oppritunitey for them to end me. So far from what I've seen, these things have the same tactics that of barbarians.
I was hesitant to move from my location. I could use it to set up a kill box, but then again these...monsters seem to have gotten ahold of explosives. I don't know what kind of explosive weaponry they're equiped with, since I never got a look at the pony that had lobbed an explosive at me. The best course of action is to leave this shack and set up in a new position.
I hopped out through the window and began to proceed with caution. It would be a rookie mistake take off into the sky, while the location of the enemy is unknown. I'm also too exhausted to fly, after wheving around in the air, bringing hell down upon them. It would be very stupid of me to get back into the clouded skies. It would be best to just remain vigilant and on the ground. I had my magical plasma rifle at the ready for any sudden movement. I continued to walk with caution. On my right were three shacks and to my left were rows of trees that had been blown over. Two of the shacks on my right were of very simplistic in design. Those two were no concern of mine, since they did not have windows for hostiles to shoot me from. Now the third shack was a different story. This one had a guard tower built on top of it. It didn't look like sturdiest of things, but it still could be hiding the enemy.
I couldn't take that risk of having an enemy popping up from there to just ambush me from behind. So I took aim with the EX-BB (Experimental Buccaneer Blaze). With my sights lined up, I readied myself for the recoil this thing has. When placing my rear left leg back, I felt as though I had steped on something. Suddenly, from the pile of dead trees, I was ambushed by a hail of bullets.
"Fuck ah FlashLight!!!" I screamed as I was peppered with bullets. I took to the skies out of habit. When reaching the appropriate altitude, I turned around to see what I was dealing with and also to return fire. I opened fire with Red Rain, sending a hail of red energy shots, but only to stop after a second. Their wasn't anypony there. Only smoke trails on where the shooters had been. This confused me to no end. At one moment, I was being fired upon from the petrified forest, then the next...nothing. "What in Celestia's name is going on here?"
Hesitantly, I flew over to the area where the hostiles had been firing from. Paranoia was starting to set in for me, as well as total exhaustion. I knew i couldn't fight for much longer and hopefully my enemy hasn't picked up on it. I landed from the rear that the gun fire originated. I didn't want to receive another storm of bullets, so I took my approach slowly. The brush was thick with dead tree limbs. It made spotting anything difficult. Even so, I kept my eyes pealed for any sudden movement.
The sudden crack of a branch caught my attention. I didn't even hesitate and opened fire with my Plasma rifle. Blazing green bolts of magic flew through the air from my rifle. The shots didn't hit anything, but trees, causing a few of the trees that weren't petrified to catch fire. Those shots I took have given away my position. I prepared myself for return fire... Nothing.
"What the hell is going on?" I muttered. This was starting to wear on my already combat exhausted mind. Chances of eliminating the remaining hostiles has drastically decreased. I wasn't use to this style of fighting. Open combat I could do, not this cat and mouse game that seemed to be going on.
I've become ever more hesitant to even move from my position. It feels like I've just walked into a trap. I could fly out, but I run the risk of being a target to them in the open skies. A sudden change in tactics is something I never expected from these monsters. One moment they were running at me with kitchen knifes, then suddenly they disappear. All this was just too much for me. I have to get out of here now.
*Daa du da du da du Daa du da du da du da*
Music? Music is playing? Why the fuck is there music playing!? Like this nightmare wasn't bad enough. First dead ponies, mystery gun ponies, and now fucking creepy music!? Against my better judgement, I head towards it just to see where it's coming from. In a clearing of trees, I found the origin of the music. It was a Colt-in-ah-box. The thing was suffering from serious paint chipping. The paint that was still clinging on the toy was a bright bubble gum pink. It was as if it was just pulled off the factory floor. I approached the toy, despite my brain screaming at me to run like hell.
I was standing right in front of it and waited for music to stop and for something to happen. The crank to the box came to a squeaky halt. For a few seconds, nothing really happened. This left me confused. It seemed like it had finally broke, before being allowed to do its thing. Kind of sucks for you toy that you didn't get to do your thing?
With a sudden click, the lid to the Colt-in-ah-box popped open. What came out spooked me. "Suprise!" A audio box shouted in Pinkie pie's voice. I was greeted by a Pinkie pie in toy version, but something was off. Instead of that signature puffy pink mane, it looked like somepony took a straightener to the toy's mane and now was sporting a mane that looked flatter than paper. It bobbed back in forth with a creepy smile plastered upon its face. All I can do is laugh nervously at the toy. "Get ready to die!" The toy shouted from its voice box. Those words caught me completely off guard. The voice that came from the box didn't sounded like Pinkie anymore, but now it had the voice of a demented mare. This thing was creeping me the fuck out with its smile. As it swayed back and forth on a rusted spring, the sound of metal clicking against each other came to my ears. I then saw that there was three strings in both hooves of the Pinkie pie toy. At the end of the strings were pins, more precisely grenade pins.
My eyes widen. Not even a second of hesitation, I took to the skies. A second later that fucking toy started to laugh. "Wow! Hahahaha I...I heheehe got yo-" The voice of Pinkie pie had return, but was cut off by the explosion of six grenades that happened to be right below the Colt-in-ah-box.
Searing pain shot through my legs and belly. I screamed as scorching pain spread across my lower body. The pain was almost too unbearable. With every beat of my wings, a wave of pain shot across my muscles. My body can't take this kind of abuse much longer. I felt like I was going to pass out, but I kept going. The only reason I didn't let myself fall to unconsciousness because, If I were to pass out right now, then I would crash land and be an easy target for those sick fucks.
I pressed onwards, despite the fact that I was in considerable pain and was bleeding from my wounds. There was no way I was going to take cover in the decaying trees, with the possibility of more traps like that Colt-in-ah-box. It only took a few seconds to find a flat grass area with rocks as cover. Before landing, I took a glance towards the area I had just come from. I used the zoom function in my visors to get a better look at the group of shacks. I could see all those ponies that I had been fighting, moving around. I didn't know what they were really doing. It looked like they were gathering all their dead in the center of the collection of shacks. Only a few were staying in one spot. They were the ones in those rickety towers of theirs. They were all staring in one direction at something. I realized that I was breaking rule one of pegasus combat. never be caught out in the open while in combat. A flash on my visors caught my attention. Before I could even judge on what that flash was, I was struck in my right shoulder. The force of whatever hit me had knocked me out of the sky. In a downward spiral, I crashed into one of the boulders, before finally sliding down to the ground.
This day for me just keeps getting worst and doesn't seem it'll get better anytime soon. I laid against the rock I had crash into, barely able to move as of now. I was still losing blood. It was evident from the blood that was smeared against the rock and ground. Despite the suit's built in doctor enchantment, the wounds continued to pour out blood. Not as much can be done on my end, but wait for the armor's systems to stop it, though it should be stopped very soon or I run the risk of bleeding out. I don't know how much blood I've lost, but it seems a lot.
I was lucky that my newest wound wasn't a bleeder. The two inch diameter hole in my shoulder was already cauterized. The wound was much easier for the medical system to work on than the grenade fragments that were still stuck in my legs. Judging from the fact that my shoulder wound isn't bleeding and that the armor around it was partly melted, I can say with out a doubt that I was hit by an energy weapon, but none I've never seen. Energy weapons have no punch to it when it comes to long range targets, yet what ever weapon that hit me managed to punch a hole into the thickest part of the armor.
It finally dawned upon me that these twisted ponies might of been more well armed than first appearances and also seemed smarter than they had let on with their charge and retreat tactics. They may have looked like a bunch of half starved earth ponies, but damn were they clever. The best decision as of right now was to retreat. I was out gunned and out ponied. I don't even know why I had pursed them. I had eliminated the first half a dozen hostiles with ease. Maybe in doing so I became over confident in taking the rest on solo. This is why a bolt never flies without a second fly pony.
Second fly pony...second fly pony......Oh no. Panick overwhelmed my mine. I try to stand up, but was brought back down by the searing pain in my legs. I screamed as my body slammed against the dirt. I keep on trying to move my body, even if to gain only an inch, but the pain... Oh Celestia the pain. The shrapnel that was still in my legs that hadn't been removed by the suit's medical system was tearing and ripping more flesh as I tried to stand. This body of mine just couldn't take it anymore. I started to feel numb as my body started to become unresponsive. As the grey tunnel of unconsciousness formed around my vision, only one thing was going though my mine. I need to get moving, I need to get back there. I needed to...protect.
I blacked out at this point because the pain was just too much for me to handle. The blood loss didn't help, but I was bound to pass out due to the rate at which I was bleeding.

Hey Spitfire remember me...It's uh Fleetfoot...

You know, your best bud since...since Junior flight camp....we sang that silly song together.

Uh...look. I know we haven't spoken in awhile since the...um...well you know... The thing I'm not allowed to take about.

Anyway... I just like you know that they're letting me back on the front! Isn't that great? I even get my own squad and was even promoted above my old rank. I'm now a captain, just like you...all those...
*five minutes of silence*

Yeah...uh...not important. I'm finally going to be able to contribute to the war again, like in the old years.
[...]
Look, I know you don't like talking about the war and all, with you being stuck behind a boring desk job, but at least now I'll be able to show these Shadowbolts how a Wonderbolt did things. I'll do you proud Spitfire.

Before I go... Can... can you tell Soarin... Tell him I'm sorry, since I don't know if I'll be coming back. These weapons that the Zebras have...they scare me. I wish you could be with me.

I have I to go now Spitfire...hopefully this isn't a final goodbye....I love you

*****************
I could of sworn that I've recieved worst wounds during the war and was still able to continued to fight. I felt like shit. I have a splitting headache that was the equivalent to a hangover after a night of partying and it feels like it won't be getting any better. Light shined through my visors into my eyes causing me to roll to my side for just some relief to my headace. My mind was to exhausted to care about the sudden change to the surface I was roiling around in. It wasn't until a sudden shack, I sat straight up. I wasn't lying in the dirt, bleeding to death anymore.
Slowly cracking my eyes open, I saw that for a fact that I wasn't in the dirt, but rather I was in a bed that was way pasted the time of replacing. "Wh...where am I?" I asked in a groggy voice to particularly no one. I of course didn't get a reply since the moment I opened my eyes, I could see that I was alone. Somehow, in the time I was unconscious, I had been placed in a one pony wagon home. I kept my eyes squinting, since my head was hurting from just a speck of light. From what I could tell, this wagon was moving and that whoever put me in here had somehow manage to remove my armor.
The upper part of my torso was covered in bandages, as well as my lower legs were to. Hell, even my bandages on my left hoof had been replaced. An IV was also sticking into my right foreleg. Who ever rescued me had good attention at heart, for which I was thankful for at least. It doesn't mean I trust whoever rescued me. It could be those earth ponies from before, just trying to get me to lower my guard. Before the bombs went off, I had heard rumors that if you were caught by the zebras that you would at first be treated for the wounds you had received, but promptly be tortured to death. I needed to get out of here. I don't want to end up like those poor ponies in that shack. With that in mine I began searching the room for my armor.
My eyes quickly started to dart back and forth in the room. It didn't take long to spot. It was sitting comfortably on a tiny table that was opposite from me. The table was fairing just as well as I was. It could barely hold up the TB-52 Hurricane. That armor weighs little over half my body weight. Even with the right shoulder piece missing it was still heavy. I tried to get out of the bed to get to my armor, but with my injuries and the shacking of the wagon it made moving impossible.
"This day for me officially sucks Luna's horn." I grumbled to myself.
"Oh I wouldn't speak ill of the princesses in front of your elders little mare. That might upset me." A low voice said to me.
"What the fucking Tartarus!?" I screamed, nearly jumping out of bed, but was stopped by the mine numbing pain in my rear legs. Before I could even try to soothe my legs, out from the shadows stepped a elderly looking pegasus stallion. He had come out of no where, like he just appeared out of thin air. My best guess he had managed to get a hold of some zebra tec. He had this white coat and cobalt blue that both had some major gray streaks in the. From what I could see, he had a cutie mark of a theif's mask. It was odd looking, but almost familiar to me.
He chuckled a little, while giving me that 'Got ya' look at me. He walked over to me and plopped about three feet away from me. He was just out reach from striking distance for me. That is if I could even take on the bastard in my condition. He gave a cheeky smile to me as I eyed him for any sudden movement. That little smile didn't last long. Now he had a serious look to him.
"Now little lady, since we saved your life from certain death, we would like to know where you got that fancy armor over there?" He said as he guided my line of sight over towards my armor. My eyes returned to his.
"I'm sorry, even with the fact that you saved my life, I'm not a liberty to say where that armor came from, civilian." I said with a straight face. The moment I had said civilian to the stallion, he had been giving me this look of bewilderment. He blinked a couple of times, before speaking back.
"Cilivian? Hee he he. Now that's a word I haven't been called a long time." He smiled a little more, before saying the word 'civilian' agian, then laughing like it was inside joke I was out of the loop for. He noticed my confusion. "Oh sorry little mare, where are my manners, I'm Smash'n Grab, but ponies just call me Smash'n."
I gave him another look of bewilderment. Smash'n Grab? What kind of name is that? It does go with his cutie mark, but other than that, who names their kid Smash'n Grab? It does sound familiar thought, but still, Smash'n Grab, really?
"Not much of a talker are you little miss? Must of heard those nasty rumors about me up there in the clouds. Well let me assure you, they are one hundred percent true." His tone of hospitality dropped like a stone into something much more grim. My stomach also dropped like a stone. I maybe a war verteran, but their are just some ponies out there that can put the scare into you.
Smash'n Grab took a step forward and placed a hoof onto the bed that I was resting on. I shrunk down as he began to tower over me. "Now little mare, I don't want to put you through those little rumors. I really don't want to, since you're such a pretty looking mare, but if you don't tell me where you got that armor from, I will make your life a whole lot worse."
Oh shit! Oh shit! Oh shit! He's going to kill me and then he's going to butcher me like those ponies in that shack of horrors! I was shacking a little with fear. In training you may be prepared to face death itself out on the battlefield, but there's nothing to prepare yourself for a pony that can strike terror into your heart with mere words. I could tell that he was serious by just looking into his eyes.I would tell him, but I can't. If I do then this lunatic and his buddies will...oh what's the fucking point. Project Rising Phoenix is a failure.
"Th..the armor that's resting over on the table is the TB-52 Hurricane. One of the most advanced pegasus armor, before the zebras destroyed Cloudsdale. The suit was given to me by the head of the M.o.M herself. It was a suit meant to be worn by a commander for the Project Rising Phoenix. That...that is where I got my armor." With that finished being said, I slumped back down, further into the bed.
The room was silent for about a few minutes. That Smash'n Grab was giving me that look of skepticism. From what I could see he was thinking over the information that I had given him. He was probably thinking of ways to torture me to teach him how to use the TB-52 Hurricane. Not like he use the thing. Probably break a hip just by taking a step.
He all of the sudden started to giggle. Giggle like a mad mare, I dare say. This somewhat scared me even further. I won't lie, this Stallion is fruit bat shit crazy and I have every right to be scared. I just waited for him to suddenly pull out a knife and stab me, but that didn't happen. He stood up and began to salute me, despite the wagon shacking back and forth. He's saluting me? Like...like a WonderBolt?
He had a goofy grin on his face. "Private Grab from Bunker Colt of Project Rising Phoenix reporting in!"
My jaw dropped in disbelief. The look I was giving just made his grin become bigger. "It's good to see you Commander Fleetfoot. You're a little late to the party by oh...I don't know, by about fifty years. Oh but don't worry, there's still plenty of guests to mingle with."
Fallout Equestria: LoneBolt
There was nothing to describe on how I was feeling right now. I could only stare at this old timer with utter disbelief, while a furious storm of emotions brewed inside of me. I wanted to hit him. I really want to deck this old bastard for claiming to be apart Bunker Colt. After telling him military secrets that are from a project that's meant to keep the peace, he has the fucking audacity to claim to be apart of it. I could literally feel my blood boiling as this asshole was still doing the Wonderbolt's salute. If it wasn't for the injuries that I've suffered, I would of already of leap from this bed I was confined to and promptly be the tar out of him.
His stupid smile started to fade as he realized that he was pissing me off. He stopped saluting me and sat next to me, despite the fact that I still wanted to hit him so much. Tension started to build in the air again. All signs of acting friendly towards one another has disappeared at this point.
"So... You don't believe me, Commander Fleetfoot?" He asked, while keeping his distance from my hooves. Him just talking like he knows me made my blood turn to steam. How dare this... This civilian claim to be part of Rising Phoenix!? How dare he say that I've woken up fifty years pass the date that I was suppose to wake! I will kill him if he disrespects the project one more time by claiming to be apart of it.
"Of fucking corse I don't believe you, civilian ." I could see him flinch from the venom from my words. He actually seemed hurt from the words I had spoken.
"Commander... I know it may be hard to believe, but you did past the eighty year mark, by fifty years. I am one of the last members of Bunker Colt and If-" I cut him off before he could continue his lies.
"Shut up, Civilian! I don't care what you have to say. I tell you one of the Ministry of Morale's secrets and you have the balls to claim to be apart of it. Do you have any idea what the princesses will do to me!?"
"Commander, the prin-"
I cut him off again as I continued to spew venomous words towards Smash'n Grab.
"Actually, what the princesses could do to me is nothing on what's going to happen to me now. You have no idea on what kind of trouble I've brought upon myself. I fucking broke a Pinkie promise when telling you those secrets! I doubt you even understand what a Pinkie promise is. If you even understood a fraction of what a Piknkie promise is then you would be throwing up right now out of fear. When you break one it's the fastest way to lose a friend's trust, though I doubt you even understand the concept of 'Friendship'."
I was fuming still with anger and fear om what's going to happen to me is starting to mix in. Smash'n Grab just sat there, letting me tear into him verbally. I think he was too caught off guard by my sudden rage to even come up with a reasponse. "Pinkie will be coming after me now. I bet on my life that the corpse of Pinkie will rise and chase me down for breaking a promise I made over eighty years ago."
Smash'n Grab seemed to get some confidence back from my tongue lashing. He collected himself and fixed what was left of his demeanor. "Commander... Now I know you survived a tough enemy when leaving your bunker and it's easy to be scared of the unfamiliar, but my boys and I can assure you that the head of the Ministry of Morale won't be coming after you from beyond the dead."
I scoffed at his meaningless words. I was still extremely pissed and decided to lose out again at the old bastard. "I bet you and whoever you're with are no better than those earth pony savages that happily greeted me when the main door to Alpha Bunker o...opened."
I trailed off at the end when i realized what I was saying at the end. Alpha Bunker's door is still open. Open to those mosters to have free reign over. The defense turrets were riddled with error codes and are currently offline. So there's no way to stop them from...
In the heat of the moment of leaving Alpha Bunker and engaging those hostiles, I had forgotten to close the main door to Alpha Bunker. All that anger inside me suddenly flipped over to panic. I soon started to hyperventilate and became hard to breath. Just thinking about the mistake I had made caused me to go into panic more. I was in such a state of hysteria that I didn't even notice that Smash'n Grab had gotten up from where he was sitting from and trotted up to me.
A sharp pain spread across my face suddenly. I was snapped out of my hysteria. I looked up and saw that Smash'n had his hoof out stretched to his side. It was obvious on what he had just done. He slapped me? I was in disbelief that he had actually slapped me across the face. It became that it was Smash'n Grab's turn to be angry.
"Don't ya dare compare me or my family to those ponies! Never ever say that they're similar to us ponies in anyway. I may have done some bad stuff to survive, but I'm nothing like the Amenas." He shouted at me. This change in behavior from Smash'n Grab scared me a little. One moment I'm tearing into a stallion who has no backbone to stand up the verbal abuse, then the next thing I know he's putting me in my place with just a few simple words. His shouting caused me to sink into the bed I had been laying In just find some way to escape.
Smash'n Grab seemed to notice my submissive demeanor and stopped himself before saying anything worse than he already had. Before saying anything else, he took a deep breath and began doing breathing exercise similar to what I do. With his temper now at ease, Smash'n Grab sat back down. It made the atmosphere in the room less tense, so I let up on my guard. It was easy to tell that Smash'n Grab had regretted on what he had said. I didn't hold it against him for yelling at me. I had let my mouth run and words were said that I really shouldn't of said. My words had cut deep into him and it was easy to tell that they were still causing pain in him. I regretted saying those words. I had attentially meant to hurt the old bastard for speaking such lies about being apart of project Rising Phoenix, but I never meant to hurt him this badly.
The small room was silent for a while. Neither one of us wanted to speak up, since we had both hurt each other deeply with words alone. During this silence I looked to the window of this one pony mobile home. There were mountains in view and I couldn't see much else. Thick fog covered majority, if not all parts of the sky. The world outside looked sick with all those clouds hanging around. It just made the mood in this room even worst. I tore my sight away from the depressing seen outside and back to Smash'n Grab. He saw that I was looking back at him. All he did was rub a hoof on the back of his neck and shied away from me.
My worries about Alpha Bunker were still in the back of my mine, but I... I just couldn't bring myself to speak up. I might be a military pony through and through, but I'm still just a simple pony. He may be a lying, no good, wing breaking pegasus, but I still can tell when a fellow pony has been hurt
Before I could even muster the strength to even talk, Smash'n Grab beat me to it. "I'm sorry Commander. Lost my cool there. I know you didn't mean on what you said, since you don't know who the Amenas are and what they've done to ponies around here. But... But when you said those... Those words. It just ticked me off the wrong way. To even think about being compared to those monsters drives me to the skies."
Smash'n Grab sighed. He stared down at the floor for a moment, before looking back up at me. He gave a half assed smile at me. My ears folded against my head. This just made me feel worst. This pony who I only met twenty minutes ago and throughly abused with words in that time has already forgiven me. I could never do that. Even if the pony didn't know what they were saying to me, I couldn't forgive them in the matter of seconds after being insulted. If he's willing to forgive me, then maybe he's willing to help? It's worth a shot to try.
With confidence and some high optimism, I spoke. "I need to go back there."
My words caught Smash'n Grab off guard, since I hadn't spoken in awhile. The old stallion was confussed for a bit. "I'm sorry, but do you mine repeating what you just said."
"I need to go back to my bunker. It's very important that I do."
Smash'n Grab seemed even more perplexed. "I really hope I'm just going senile, but did you say that you want to go back? Back to the Amenas camp? The place you barly survived leaving in the first place? The same place that me and my boys rescued you from?"
I nodded a simple yes to all his questions. It seemed to have made his left eye twitch.
"Are you crazy!? What in Celestia's plot do you want to go back, you nearly died just leaving the place!"
"Even though I forgive your blatant lies from earlier, I can't answer that. I just need to get back to my bunker. It's important that I do get back there."
The old pegasus was perplexed with emotions. From my point of view, he looked like he was switching between bewilderment and disbelief. I took this as the oppirtunity to slide out of my bed. The IV tube was still in my foreleg so I took hold of the stand and slowly passed myself over to my armor that was resting on the tiny table. Getting to my armor was a little difficult. The wagon was still moving, and unlucky for me, it was on a bumpy road. I grateful that I had the IV stand with me. I probably would of fallen and caused more damage to my shoulder, if it weren't for the sturdy piece of medical equipment.
It didn't take long to reach and see my armor. The kind of damage the TB-52 Hurricane had suffered from was anypony's guess. I was shot at numerous amount of times with with a varity of weapons and explosives. Before taking a closer look at my armor, I looked back at Smash'n Grab. He seemed to be still perplexed by my words. With him occupied, I began to look over my armor.
First I started by checking over the talismans and enchantments that were placed in the armor. Everything seemed to be were it should be, expect for two things. The tailsman that dampened the recoil for the EX-BB had been removed. Most likely removed my one of Smash'n Grab's boys. The other part that wasn't right was the repair tailsman. It had suffered damange from that stupid Colt-in-ah-Box. This meant that my armor could no longer repair itself and any future damage was permanent. I cursed to myself for being careless with handling this armor.
Now that the talisman have been checked over. I examined the damage that had been dealt to the TB-52 Hurricane. The rear section of the armor was completely ruined, expect for the bottom parts of the leggings. There was no salvaging it, so I moved on to the other parts. The right shoulder piece had a nice clean hole in it. Seeing that made look down at my banaged wound. It made me grateful that the armor took most of the blast for me. With this size of hole, I would of been dead if not for the armor. Before I could even start to look over my weapons that were still attached to the suit, I felt myself forcefully turned around.
Smash'n Grab was looking at me dead in the eyes. He had this look of concern on his face. "Look... Commander. I know you want to go back to your bunker, but I can't let that happen. It was a big enough risk to even get that close to their camp. It's to dangerous for-"
Smash'n Grab seemed to be unwilling to let me go back. He was just naming off reasons on why not to go back. The choice at this moment was just to tell the stallion on why I needed to go back, despite the number of protocols I'd be breaking. Eh... Not like I haven't broken them already for going into detail about Project Rising Phoenix.
"Because I forgot to shut the main door to Alpha Bunker!" I shouted at him. It seemed the best choice in getting him to shut up, which as it turned out it worked.
Smash'n Grab stooded there for a second, before shacking his head back and forth. "Do you think we would leave the front door to the Alpha Bunker open? We saw the door open before finding you lying in the dirt bleeding to death. My boys had dealt with those kinds of bunkers before, so they snuck up to the door and proceeded to flip the manual override switch to the forcefully close the door. It wasn't easy for them in the less, but they managed and now that door ain't going to be opening again anytime soon."
I would say that I'm relieved that the door is shut, but hearing that the override switch has been flipped now ruined any chance of me being cooperative with him.
"You fucking idiot!"
This time I caught Smash'n Grab off guard. Once again Smash'n Grab was confused. He looked more worried than confused though, but that didn't matter to me at the moment. The only thing I want to do now was follow through with my orginal thoughts I had earlier. I'm so going to punch you now you old bastard.
"Did it ever accrue to you on where the rest of Alpha Bunker soldiers are! Their still down there, under that spell that has allowed me to be here in the first place!" My temper was getting the better of me again, but I really didn't care. I wanted to be mad and I had all the right to be.
"My troops are still under and haven't awoken yet! I tried to wake them, but due a malfunction in the system it made it so I couldn't wake them and I had no clue on how to disable the spell manually. I know the override code to the machines that currently keep them the way they are, but the systems were fried for some reason. Oh and it wasn't just the chambers that had issues, but the whole fucking bunker. The entire mainframe of Alpha Bunker is fucked up. It's a Celestia miracle that I even managed to open the front door!"
My anger was boiling over and now turned to unadulterated rage. I took a good hold of the IV stand with my bandaged hoof. I defiantly was going to punch him and he knew it. I sent a quick gab to his side, but he blocked me. I responded by using the IV stand to my advantage. In mere seconds I round house kicked the fucker to the ground. In my fit of rage I ripped out my IV tubes and jumped on top of Smash'n Grab. I grabbed him by his head and brought his eyes up to mine. I stared directly into his eyes, so he could see the wrath he has brought upon himself. "You fucked them! Fucked them to tararus for shutting that door with the override! I swore to protect them and now that has been ruined because of you!"
I dropped his head back down against the wooden floor. I raised a hoof, ready to strike him for ruining the promises that I had made. Before I could even bring my hoof down upon his face, I felt a prick against my neck. I slapped my hoof against my neck to what ever had pricked me in the neck. I soon felt dizzy and started to lose some balance. In my peripheral vision, something caught my ever weakening attention. A quick look away from Smash'n Grab, I saw a syringe floating in the air, being enveloped by grey magic. At this point I had fallen on my ass, since I could no longer stand. My vision also started to blur, but I managed to see past the syringe and saw a unicorn filly standing by the door.
I couldn't tell what she looked like because i couldn't clearly see anymor. Even with drugs going through my system, I stood back up, ready to face against the unicorn. Through blury movement from the unicorn I saw her bring something out from what looked like a saddle bag. The object she had pulled out flew through the air and I was meet with another prick against my neck. With a second dose of whatever had been in the syringes, it finally did its job. I went down like a sack of gems, but not before saying one more thing. "Yuuu berstaurd."

Uh...is thing on?
*audio from unknown pony* Yes it is Captain. The light above means that it's recording what we speak.
It does? Oh uh... Thank you... private...Winter....winter heart
*audio from Private Winter Heart* No need to thank me Captain. I'm just here to aid and assist you If anything wrong happens.
Oh well... Ok private... Uh... Ok got to start speaking my thoughts out loud now. Ok...ok...you can do this...you can do this Fleetfoot. Nothing to be scared of...nothing at all. It's just a simple experiment. It's for the war... to beat those striped bastards. Nothing to worry about.... Just going to be a test subject on... On... What is this stuff you'll be putting into me?
*Audio from unknown pony*- It's an experimental chemical compound that has been fused with unicorn magic. You are here to test the effects it has on the pony body. You do remember the papers that you had to sign in order to be allowed to be a test subject?
Yes I'm aware of what I signed. I'm not that old to have my mine slip away from me just yet! Don't you give me that look you egghead. Even if I wasn't this old, I'd still do this to make Equestria and the princesses proud.
*Audio from private Winter Heart*- Fleetfoot, the recording is still going. Remember it's very important you only speak your own thoughts. This data is needed for the Ministry of Arcane Science.
Oh... Sorry. Just get distracted easily from the old age. Hmm hmph... This is Fleetfoot, former Wonderbolt captain, now retiree. I have volinteered myself for the experiment that was mentioned by the egghead from earlier. This audio log is to keep track of my mental functions and for future scientific study if this experiment leads to anything. Now I'm suppose to record my thoughts on how I feel about this all. The only this I can say is... Is that I'm scared on what's going to happen... I'm really scared right now. I just hope this is enough to make up for past mistakes.

"Unicorns." It was the first this that came to mine when I regain consciousness. The silly unicorn used 'levitate the thing from behind technic' with a syringe full of...of sedatives. I giggled a little. Damn am I glad it wasn't the one I was allergic. I highly doubt they have the meds to treat me if I was.
I sighed with relief that my life wasn't ended by some simple as malpractice. I giggled a little more at the thought. I couldn't help but start laughing even more. It was ridicules in my mine. That me, Fleetfoot, the pegasus that has seen more live combat than any other pony in history, taken down by the use of the incorrect sedative. It was obvious that the drugs were still in my system, so I was a little loopy.
My giggle fit didn't last long. Light was shining through the window again into my eyes. In my drug induced stupor, I tried to grab the light, but felt something holding down my hoof. I lifted my head and saw that I was now bounded to the bed I had been. "Oh yeah hee he hee. They put restraints on me. Hee he hee."
Out of boredom, I started to hum my favorite Sweetie Belle song. I loved the song, despite the fact I couldn't remember the name to it. With Sweetie Belle on my mine, I started to think about her hot sister. Just thinking about her made me drool. I thought she was the most beautiful thing I've seen in my life. I never acted upon it though. It was just a fantasy and nothing more. I prefered pegasus over unicorns, but if given the chance I would do it ground side if it meant being with her.
My ears twitch at the sound of the door to this wagon opens. I look up to see who it was. It was a unicorn mare, though she did look a little young to be full grown. The pony had a silver pink coat that had been stained with dirt around the hooves and a rosey brown mane. She also had eyes the color of a cloudy day. To my eyes It looked like she was dipped in pink paint, if it wasn't for the dirt on her hooves and the silver highlights in her mane. Damn did she look sexy in my impared mind.
While looking up and down at her body, I saw that she was wearing something. It was a white foreleg band that had the Wonderbolts insignia on it.
Seeing that Wonderbolts insignia on a unicorn made me giggle. It was obsured to just think about it. A unicorn, being a wonderbolt. That just maybe me smile. "Hee he you hee hee he bet-better take that band off or I-I'll brake your leg hee he." I said, trying my best to supress my laughter.
My words didn't seem to bother her much at all, but I did manage to get her attention. She was staring at me with her steely colored eyes and expressionless face. I gave a sexy wink and smile towards her. She rolled her eyes at my jester. I giggled. Hee hee, she shot me down, hee hee.
I got a little excited when she approached me. It seemed my charm might of actually worked. I was disappointed by learned that she was in charge of my well being. She checked my banages and made sure that there wasn't any bleeding. I eyes her lustfully for a bit. I wanted her, but knew I couldn't since I was bounded to the bed. Now that option no longer viable, my mine started to wander. Why was I so... angry earlier... was it something this pretty filly said.... No. I don't that was it. Maybe I was mad for her wearing a Wonderbolts insignia?.... No that's not either.... Oh it was that old pony...Mash Have... Bash Tab... Smash'n Grab that's it. He's pony who pissed me off.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that the pink unicorn was leaving. She must of finished checking up on me while I was thinking to myself. I couldn't just let her leave, so I called out to her.
"Hey pinkie unicorn, I need you for a second!" I could hear her sigh from my bed. She walked back to me and stood over me with a look that told me she wasn't the happiest of ponies. "What is it?" She asked dejected tone.
"Tell me. Why do you look like ya had somepony piss in your cereal?" I asked, while trying my best not to giggle at the words I just said.
My question seemed to annoy her. Without a single word, she turned around and began to trot towards the door. Her walking away actually scared me, so I called to her again. "Please tell me pink pony! I just want to know. Please don't leave, I'm so bored and I really don't like being alone!"
She once again stopped and turned back to me. When she came back to me she looked even more pissed than before. "For your information my name is Misty Haze, not 'Pink unicorn'. And the reason I look like 'Somepony pissed in my cereal', it's because you started to beat up my great uncle, like he greatly offended you."
I couldn't help by snicker at her saying 'Somepony pissed in my cereal'. Me snickering annoyed Misty Haze further. Her eye twitched with every giggle that left my mouth. Before she could scream at me, I spoke up. "Sorry... Sorry. Can't help it... *giggle* drugs still in my system. Hee hee he."
My apology and explanation for my giggly behavior seemed to calm her down, for now. Misty Haze now looked like she was more willing to listen to what I really had to say and to ignore my less than serious comments. "Ok... That explains a bit... For your behavior change... But that still doesn't explain your sudden attack upon my uncle Grab."
"I attacked him because he and his 'boys' damned my entire company to certain doom with no way of rescuing them from the hell that their in. That's the reason why I attacked him." Not once did Misty Haze flinch nor did her expression changed when I said why I had beat the feathers off her uncle. It seemed that my explanation has fallen death ears, since she still carried that look of annoyance and anger.
"How did my uncle 'damned your company to certain doom'? What, did he leave them leaderless to fight against the Amenas by taking you with us or did he somehow get them made into dashites for being on the surface without permission?" She questioned me.
I was half expecting her to start screaming at me for saying not given a better 'explanation' for hurting Smash'n Grab, but that didn't happen. She instead asked me on what her uncle had done. Her questions confused me. It was easy to tell that she was making assumptions, but on what I had no clue. The word Dashite held no meaning to me at the moment as her attutde was getting on my nerves now. "Look filly, I have no idea on what your talking about when it comes to the word 'Dashite', but my troops were doomed to certain death when the moment the doors to Alpha Bunker were closed with the override switch."
"Fine, keep your reason for attacking my uncle you Dashite. I don't care anymore." Misty Haze turned away from me with a huff and walked towards the door.
Before she left she turned her head back to me. "Oh and I hope your troops die back there. It's not like they were any better than those Amenas. I don't see why uncle Grab wants you to live. You should of been left In that hole to die like you deserve."
My eyes widen at what she said. A familiar rage rose up in my chest. I began to thrash and shack against the restraints that held me down. I wanted to kill her to. Even with the drugs in my system, I wasn't going to remain relaxed and calm. I shouted and screamed the most vile things I could think of at the top of my lungs so she could hear on what I'm going to do to her the moment these restraints are removed. My shouting didn't last lost as it exhausted me to the point that I passed out.
*****************
With a sudden shack I was awoken from my exhaustion. My eyes cracked open and were meet by the sight of Smash'n Grab. Anger set in pretty quickly the moment I saw his face. I went to hit him in the muzzle with my hoof, but was once again stopped by the restraints. I still want to hurt him for his lies, but at this time I'm unable to, so decide it was best to wait.
He was looking over my wounds and was making sure that the bandage hadn't come undone. Smash'n Grab was thorough with his checking. Once he had finished, he took a step back and sat down next to me.
I looked over him and saw that he actually looked somewhat tired from something. Most likely from the traveling that has been going on since I ended up in this bed. It dawned upon me that I never though on where we were going. I knew that Alpha Bunker was located near Unicorn range and Galloping Gorge. Outside didn't really help on giving me an idea on where I was. It was night time at the moment and still cloudy from earlier. Sure the mountains were a clue that i was in either northern or southwest Equestria, but other than that I had no clue.
"Hazel doesn't mean what she said to you."
I turned to Smash'n Grab. I frowned at him. "Are you sure? Because she sounded pretty serious."
"Oh I know. She's just mad that you got a few decent hits on me without a reason."
"Without reason? I beat you because you had the balls to claim to be a part of P.R.P. And not only that, but to say that I went fifty years further than I was suppose to. Plus you damned all my troops to certain death. I have a hard time believing that she doesn't know the reason why I hurt you in the first place."
Smash'n Grab started to get a little restless. "Well... I can see your point there. She doesn't know about a thing, cept the few words you said to her."
He started to chuckle a little. "You know what? She still thinks that we were out to scavange the gorge."
My mood wasn't improving with him being near, but what he just said did catch my attention. "What do you mean by that you old bastard?"
That seemed to put a smile on the stallions face. "I mean that she don't know a thing about the project, nor do my boys. I kept them in the dark on the real reason why we came."
"And what would that be?"
"Well for you of course! The equipment in Bunker Colt still works and it picked up on your little broadcast this morning. Boy did I get a laugh from that. Always forgot how much you hate technology when it doesn't work for you."
My jaw dropped at what he was saying. There is no way in Tartarus that this old bag of feathers knows about my haterd for Tec. The only way he could of know is if he knew me personally or... Listened to my broadcast.
He smirked at my dumbfounded look. "With that look on your face that means your starting to believe me a little. Oh yeah, before you had cut me off with your violent rant, I was going to say that I have proof that I was part of the project and Bunker Colt." Grab stood up and pulled something out of his zebra cloak. I couldn't see it well since it was night time. Smash got closer so I could get a good look. I gasped the moment I saw it. No... That's not possible! This has to be a fake. A complete fake. There's no way he could of gotten ahold of it.
Dangling in front of my face was a key... The master key to Bunker Colt. Every Commander in Rising Phoenix was given a master key to all rooms to the bunker that they were placed in charge of. It was meant to be a key to unlock doors to rooms that had suffered contamination leaks or to unlock a door if the system in the bunker were malfunctioning. That key is meant to be known by the commander only and no one else. If this pony has it... Then he might be... Telling the truth.
"Judging by your silence, your Starting to realize I've been telling the truth the whole time. Aren't ya Commander Fleetfoot?" Smash'n Grab said as he placed the key back into his cloak.
I nodded. "Yes I'm... I'm starting to realize you were right... but tell me... where... How did you get that?"
"It was given to me right before Commander Joy Weaver passed away from old age. He wanted me to keep it safe for him." Smash'n Grab got closer to me and began to undue the restraints on me and to remove the IV that had replaced the other one I ripped out earlier. Only took a second for him to undo everything.
The moment they were undone, I got up from the bed and began to stretch. My body was sore all over and in some spots still hurt. I looked up to Smash'n Grab and saw he had the same smile from earlier. I sighed with defeat. "Ok... Fine. I believe you now."
That made Smash'n Grab's smile become bigger. "Well good, because we just reached our destination."
"And where would that be? It's actually been bothering me for awhile."
Smash'n Grab walked over to the door and opened it for me. "Take a look. It should be very familiar to you."
I did just that and walked to the door to see where we have ended up. With one look, my breath was instantly taken away. I couldn't believe it. The whole place was untouched and intacted. I dropped to the floor and stare out at what I was seeing.
"Rainbow Falls."
