Half Empty
Epilogue: When The Glass Emptied
Previous ChapterSo now you understand why the glass is half empty, but there does come a time when the glass is truly empty...

It turned out that Elusive had been hiding a secret from everyone he knew. He had been diagnosed with cancer, but rather than let his wife Barb watch him die, he decided it would be better to let her go. In his will, he had his fashion company handed over to Cocoa Cantle. A majority of the company's profits were to benefit Barb and help pay for an education for their son, Geode. When Geode heard about Elusive, he vowed to be as generous as he was.

Rainbow Blitz went on to clean himself up. He was not accepted back into the Wonderbolts, but he filled what he considered the most important role of all. He became a father when he adopted Scooter as his own. Scooter grew up to be a captain for the Wonderbolts. After Rainbow Blitz's side of the story in the battle against the changelings was heard, he was granted a royal pardon. Though he had made a mistake and was tricked by a changeling, that fact that he was loyal to the Wonderbolt policy, "Leave No One Behind," brought him to be honored by the next generation of Wonderbolts. He lived to be eighty seven.

Bubble continued to battle depression, but with the support of his wife Cheesy, he was able to continue spreading laughter and joy all across the world. He lived to be ninety seven years old. He and his wife died on the same day, but no doctors were sure who had died first. Their son claimed that Bubble had died one moment before Cheesy. When people asked why, the son simply said, "My dad always wanted to die a moment before my mom, so he'd never have to live a moment without her."
Butterscotch was surprised to see Solaris visit his cottage one day. Solaris thanked him for being kind to Eris. A strange love did blossom between Solaris and Eris, and the two honored Butterscotch for the blessing his kindness had brought them both. Inspired with a new hope, Butterscotch continued in spreading his kind ways. He went on to help Rainbow Blitz raise scooter. He lived to be seventy six.

It turned out that Dusk Shine was not so much preoccupied as he was hopelessly in love. After months of courting a royal guard, he could wait no longer to ask to marry her. Twinkle Scout was happy to say yes. Though some thought it was rushed, the couple was happy nonetheless. When they had their first child, Twinkle told Dusk that she had never, in her wildest dreams, ever thought she would marry a prince and have such a wonderful family. She called it magic. Though Twinkle would die at an early age of fifty five, Dusk continued to oversee the Kingdom of Friendship as an immortal. When his son got married, Dusk could feel Twinkle by his side again.
Barb happily married Applejack. The two had three children together, one of which started her own apple farm and invented the dragon apple. After Applejack died, Barb refused to ever marry again. She believed she had already married the best two stallions in the world. Every year that she would live, she'd visit both graves to say thank you. Barb died young, for a dragon. She lived to be only a hundred and fifty. Dragons from all around came to investigate Barb's early death. They all came to the conclusion that Barb had rid herself of greed. In one of her journals, she had written about how she needed nothing more from the world and that she had everything she needed from her family. Most dragons die after their greed is satisfied by hoarding, but Barb had reached a glorified state of benevolence in which there is no greed. It is a state most dragons can only dream of achieving.
Applejack would always remember his friends. After living to ninety nine years old, he never forgot. He continued to tell the stories of his friends and their adventures to the very end. The elements of harmony would live on as an immortal tale of friendship filled with magic, kindness, loyalty, generosity, laughter, and honesty.
And so, as one story ends, another shall begin. One glass is emptied, and another shall be filled.
