Chapters The Dazzlings' Chemical X-Ident
The spacious two story house that Adagio Dazzle, Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk occupied was quiet. Too quiet. Usually, there was, at least, one form of noise that resonated against the walls. Whether it be the constant bickering of the three sisters or the blaring of the large flat screen TV, something was making noise. However, there was no sound to be heard, just complete and utter silence.
SIIIIIIIIIIIGH
Except for Sonata's heavy sighing.
Adagio's eye twitched erratically as she held the book she had been reading in a death grip. Aria wasn't faring any better. She sunk further into the couch as her head throbbed with the onslaught of a migraine. Sonata lay on the opposite side of the couch and let out another heavy, long sigh.
SIIIIIIIIIIIGH
Adagio shut her book and slammed it on the coffee table, startling Sonata and causing her to roll off the couch and land on the floor with a hard thud. Adagio towered over her little sister and looked down at her with a burning inferno in her eyes.
"Owie..." Sonata muttered, rubbing her backside.
"Oh. My. God, Sonata what could possibly be the problem?!" Adagio said through gritted teeth.
"I'm hungry," Sonata whined.
"Seriously, Sonata?" Aria groaned. "It's called a kitchen, and it's not even TEN steps away from you."
Sonata stood and dusted herself off. She looked at Aria with a pouty face.
"You're right, Ari," she said. "It's way more than that!"
Aria smacked a hand to her forehead and immediately winced. Adagio growled and reopened her book, sitting back down on the leather recliner.
"Sonata, why don't you go in there and make yourself a sandwich or something," Adagio muttered, her nose buried in her book.
"But, I thought I wasn't allowed to make my own food after what happened last time..." Sonata said scratching her chin.
Adagio and Aria shuddered as the haunting memory came back to them. It had been a messy ordeal.
"Yeah, Dagi, remember when she--" Aria started.
"We do not speak of it," Adagio interrupted. "I don't need another night terror."
"Well, what am I gonna do?!" Sonata cried, tears filling her eyes. "I'm all out of emergency tacos!! I'm gonna STARVE !"
Sonata fell to her knees and broke into pitiful bawling. Her wails sounded worse than her attempts to sing after the three lost their siren magic at the hands of the Rainbooms.
WOOOOAAAAUUUUUUGGGGGGHHHHHH
Aria threw her hands over her ears and winced in pain. Sonata's wailing was worsening her migraine, big time. Adagio's body shook with rage and her rose eyes seemed to turn bright red. She gritted her teeth and pulled her book in half. She threw both halves of the destroyed book to the floor and glowered down at Sonata.
"Sonata..." Adagio growled and reached into the pocket of her jeans, pulling out something black.
Sonata gulped.
"Y-yes, Dagi...?"
Adagio threw down a couple of bills and some loose change out of her wallet. The money landed at Sonata's feet and the youngest siren looked up at her sister in confusion.
"Dagi, what's this for?" Sonata asked.
"Go buy yourself some tacos or whatever," Adagio said. "Just hurry up and get out of here before you keel over."
Sonata smiled brightly and she seemed to completely forget why she was ever crying in the first place. She scooped up the money and shoved it into the pocket of her jeans. Sonata stood and skipped towards the front door.
"Thanks, Dagi, I'll be back in a jiff!" she said and ran out.
Adagio sunk back into the leather recliner and gave up on reading her book. Aria turned and looked at her elder sister; still clutching her throbbing head.
"You think she'll finally get lost on the way home?" she asked.
"Doesn't hurt to hope does it?" Adagio deadpanned.

Sonata happily skipped back home with two greasy bags full of tacos from the local Mexican eatery, the Taco Hut, slung over both shoulders. There were already crumbs around Sonata's mouth. She had snacked on one, maybe two tacos on the way home. She was incredibly tempted to eat more, but she restrained herself by pure willpower. Sonata skipped past a dark alleyway and a growling voice echoed in her ears.
"You, there..."
Sonata looked around herself and her eyes fell upon a cloaked shadowy figure in the dark alleyway.
"Who, me?" she asked the figure, pointing to herself.
"Yes, you," the figure spoke.
The voice was definitely masculine and quite deep in tone. The figure's voice almost sounded sinister and evil.
"The person that I am addressing clearly addressed me when I addressed said, person. So in saying, yes, I am indeed talking to you. Which is to say, I am addressing you even though I do not know your name."
Sonata scratched her head.
"Wait, so are you talking to me or not?" she asked.
"To reiterate," the figure spoke. " I am indeed speaking to the person of which I do not know the name of, which would mean that I am indeed talking to you."
Sonata looked extremely confused.
"But, my name's not You, my name's Sonata Dusk. Are you sure you're talking to me?"
"Very well then, I am addressing Sonata Dusk," the figure spoke.
The figure slightly stepped into the light. Sonata looked around herself to find the mysterious man but saw no one standing in front of nor behind her. She suddenly heard someone clear their throat and she looked down. Standing three feet away from her and about three feet tall was the man with the dark voice. The strange man wore a beige colored trench coat, white gloves, white boots and quite a large beige fedora sat atop his head. Sonata looked closer at the little man and saw that his skin was a sickly green and his eyes were a pinkish - red.
"Ooh, you look sick," Sonata said with concern. "And you have a really big head, like, really big! I think you're head's bigger than my sister's hair. No, wait, I think Adagio's hair is still the biggest thing in the world."
The little man growled in annoyance and then smiled to himself sinisterly. He looked up at Sonata with a sad expression on his face.
"Oh yes, I am sick. Which is to say that I am ill and in need of medical attention. However, due to certain circumstances, I cannot afford to pay my medical bills. I have been homeless, meaning without a home, for several days."
Sonata was tearing up as she listened to the man's story. She reached into one of the Taco Hut bags and retrieved a still slightly hot taco wrapped in paper and handed it to the man.
"Here," Sonata said. "I was planning to eat it when I got home, but I think you need it more."
The man took the taco and smiled at Sonata.
"My sincere thanks to you," he spoke. "In exchange for your kindness, I have something that you might like."
The man reached into the pocket of his trench coat and pulled out a clear bottle filled halfway with a black liquid and a big, bold letter "X" printed on the front of it. Sonata took the bottle and looked at it.
"What is it?" Sonata asked. "It looks weird."
"It is a special...erm...taco sauce." the man said smiling toothily. "It is very spicy."
"Oooh, I get it," Sonata said. "X-tra spicy, X-tra special! I can't wait for Ari and Dagi to try it with me! I'll make it a surprise!"
Sonata turned and began running back to her house with the bottle in her hand. She turned back to the man and waved with a huge smile on her face.
"Thanks for the taco sauce, mister!" she called. "Hope you get over your weird illness, and be able to pay your hospital bill!"
The man waved back and smiled sinisterly, stepping back into the dark alley.
"Stupid simpleminded girl...."

Sonata burst back into the house with the two bags of tacos held high above her head.
"I'm baaa-aack!~" she chimed.
Sonata saw Aria still sitting on the couch with her eyes closed tight.
"I'm napping, and Dagi's upstairs taking a shower," Aria grumbled. " Now leave me alone and wake me up when I care."
"Okay," Sonata sang. " But I brought tacos, and you don't want me to eat them all again. You and Dagi won't get any...~"
Aria groaned and forced herself into a sitting position. She stood and trudged to the kitchen. She walked past the stairs and shouted up to Adagio.
"Yo Dagi, you better get down here before the idiot can stuff her face with our lunch!"
Adagio came downstairs in a white tee shirt and loose grey sweatpants. Her poofy hair hung loosely down her back and it was slightly poofier thanks to the recent blow-drying it had received. She walked into the kitchen and saw Aria sitting at the table and Sonata hunched over the counter. Sonata emptied the contents of the "X" labeled bottle onto three separate tacos. The black liquid seeped into the meat and vanished from sight. Sonata turned back to her sisters and sat down at the table.
"Here you go, dig in!" she said happily.
Each of the sirens took a taco from off of the plate and took a bite. Sonata finished hers in two whole bites while her sisters took their time. Aria suddenly stopped eating after a few minutes when she started to feel very strange. She clutched her stomach and a small groan escaped her mouth.
"Aria, are you alright?" Adagio asked.
"I dunno," Aria said. "I don't feel so good..."
Aria slowly stood from her chair, but all of a sudden, she collapsed in a heap on the floor.
"Aria!" Sonata cried.
Adagio looked down at her fallen sister and kneeled down beside her. She whipped her head back up to Sonata with a worried and angry expression.
"Sonata, what did you do?!" Adagio shouted.
"I just put some taco sauce on the tacos, that's all!" Sonata whimpered, tears brimming in her eyes.
Adagio looked to the counter and saw the empty "X" labeled bottle sitting there. She stood and picked it up seeing the remnants of the black liquid in the bottom of the bottle.
"Sonata, where did you get this?!" Adagio shouted at the youngest siren.
"Well," Sonata began. "There was this guy on the street and I gave him a taco, and then he gave me that taco sauce."
"You idiot!!" Adagio screamed. "You don't take things like this from people on the street!! This stuff could very well be poison!"
"I didn't know Dagi, I-I'm sorry....for realizes..." Sonata whimpered.
"Well sorry's not gonna cut it!" Adagio said, her voice wavering a bit. "Y-you've really done it now...Sonata...."
With that, Adagio collapsed to the floor.
Sonata looked down at the bottle once more. She looked directly at the X and suddenly it all came to her like a crack of thunder.
"Ooooh, now I get it..." she said, her body beginning to sway back and forth. "X-tra spicy, X-tra special, and...X-tra deadly...."
Sonata's eyes rolled back and she fell face first onto the table, unconscious.
Now, the house was truly silent.

The Dazzlings' Chemical X-Ident
Adagio felt weightless as if she were flying through the clouds. She was surrounded by a dark void, trapped in silence. She felt like she was floating forever until a chipper voice broke the silence.
"Dagi! Dagi, wake up! Wake up!" the voice cried.
Adagio opened her eyes with a groan. She found herself still on the kitchen floor and looked up, meeting the amethyst colored eyes of Sonata.
"Sonata, can you please get out of my face?" Adagio groaned.
"Dagi, I'm so glad you woke up!" Sonata said excitedly. "Look what I can do!"
"Maybe later, Sonata," Adagio said, rubbing her sore head. "My head is killing me."
"Look, Dagi, look!" Sonata persisted.
"Sonata, what could be soooo...." Adagio trailed off as she looked up at her hyper little sister.
She froze.
"Important....?"
Her eyes went as wide as dinner plates; maybe wider. Sonata was sitting upside down on the ceiling, smiling down at Adagio who could only stare in horror. Sonata floated down and hovered above Adagio smiling excitedly.
"What did that girl put in our tacos? " Adagio thought to herself.
Sonata flew circles around the kitchen, leaving a light blue streak in her wake, and giggling all the way.
"Look at me go, Dagi! Wheeeeeee!~"
A few moments later, Aria awoke. She groaned and slowly sat up, looking toward Adagio, who was still staring into space.
"Hey, Dagi, " she said. "What's the matter with you?"
Adagio could only point a shaking finger at the giggling girl flying above. Aria followed Adagio's gaze and her eyes went wider than her sister's, her jaw dropping to the floor. Sonata stopped flying in circles and hovered above her sisters, grinning down at them.
"Isn't it amazing, girls?" she asked excitedly. "I can fly!"
Adagio and Aria only stared at Sonata until Adagio broke the silence.
"Sonata...h-how are you doing that?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I dunno, but it's super fun!" Sonata replied.
Sonata flew into the living room as Adagio and Aria followed her. Sonata was zipping all around the house like a little kid hopped up on sugar, but she wasn't paying attention to where she was going and was heading straight for a wall containing a photo of the three sisters.
"Sonata, watch out!" Adagio cried.
Sonata opened her eyes just in time to see the wall, and she tried to skid to a stop in midair, but to no avail. A few seconds later, face collided with the wall. The picture rocked back and forth before it finally came off of the nail, and fell to the ground along with Sonata. Aria reacted quickly, running quickly to catch the photo before it hit the ground. She caught it just before it could fall even two inches.
"Phew, that was close," Aria said with a sigh of relief.
She looked back at Adagio and saw that her hair was all over her head as if a tornado had blown through it. Aria bit back a laugh.
"Gee, Dagi, what happened to your hair?" she snickered. "Did Sonata leave the window open again?"
"I left it open for St. Giver and the Taco Fairy," Sonata said woozily. "The chimney's too dirty..."
Adagio pulled her hair out of her face and placed it into a simple ponytail, with her purple, spiked barrette.
"You happened, Aria," Adagio replied tersely.
"Me ?!" Aria shouted back. "What did I do?!"
"You ran past me," Adagio said.
"Really Adagio, that's your excuse?" Aria snorted. "So tell me, how does running past you ruin your oh, so, beautiful hair?"
"Here, I'll show you," Adagio said, walking into the kitchen.
She returned with a timer in her hand.
"Run down to the Taco Hut and back as fast as you can; I'll time you," Adagio said with a smirk.
"Are you crazy?!" Aria shouted back. " That'll take forever!"
"Just you wait, you'll prove yourself wrong," Adagio sneered.
Aria groaned and walked out the front door, Adagio following behind. Aria stood impatiently on the sidewalk and waited for Adagio's signal.
"Go," Adagio said and started the timer. Aria took off like a rocket and returned in a matter of seconds.
"So, how'd I do?" Aria asked in an annoyed tone.
"Pretty good," Adagio said. "Eight seconds, not bad."
"See, I told y--" Aria began, then suddenly paused. "Wait--did you say eight seconds?!"
"Convinced?" Adagio asked with a sneer.
"B-but how?!" Aria asked.
"Super speed," Adagio tersely replied. "Apparently the same thing that happened to Sonata happened to you."
"Well what about you, Miss 'I know everything ', did you get any special powers?" Aria asked with a snort.
"We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?" Adagio replied, walking into the house.
Adagio and Aria walked into the house to see Sonata seemingly talking to someone through the window. The two approached her out of sheer curiosity and saw that Sonata was talking to a squirrel. Or rather, cheeping at it. Adagio and Aria were absolutely at a loss for words. Their little sister was talking to a squirrel as if it were another person.
"You think she finally snapped?" Aria asked quietly.
"Either that or there was something really wrong with that stuff she put in our food," Adagio replied.
Sonata turned and smiled at her sisters.
"Oh, hi girls, I was just talking to my new friend Peanut," Sonata said, letting the squirrel perch onto her shoulder. "It's so cool; I can understand him and he can understand me! Watch!"
Sonata turned to Peanut and started cheeping at him as he nodded in response. Aria and Adagio watched with both fear and amazement as Sonata communicated with an actual squirrel.
"What did you say to him?" Adagio asked.
"I said that I'd like him to meet my two big sisters Aria Blaze and Adagio Dazzle," Sonata replied.
Peanut cheeped at the two and held out his tiny paw to them.
"What did he say?" Aria asked.
"He said it's nice to meet you both," Sonata said. "Isn't he cute?"
Aria and Adagio hesitantly took turns shaking Peanut's paw, while they both put on fake smiles. Sonata's ears perked up as she turned to Peanut.
"That's your mama calling, Peanut," she said sweetly. "It's time for you to go. Talk to you later, 'kay?"
Sonata scratched the little squirrel's head and let it out of the window; waving after him. Aria was the first to speak after a prolonged silence.
"Okay, since when could you speak squirrel?" she asked. "Or was that "taco sauce" hallucinogenic?"
"Oh, I just found out a few minutes ago while you were outside with Dagi. I was just as freaked out as you are!" Sonata replied, and suddenly stood excitedly on her tip toes. "Speaking of which, did you bring back any tacos?!"
"No," Aria replied.
"Awwww," Sonata said with a pout but perked up when she remembered something.
"Ooh, I can do something else too, watch this!"
Sonata focused her eyes on the flower that sat on the coffee table as Aria and Adagio watched. They started snickering when Sonata began to strain her gaze.
"If you're not careful, you're going to give yourself an aneurysm," Adagio laughed.
"Hold...on....almost...got it," Sonata said, straining her voice.
The two elder sirens laughed as their sister attempted to perform whatever it was she was trying to do. Suddenly, Sonata's eyes began to glow red. However, Aria and Adagio were too busy laughing to notice.
"Here it comes!" Sonata said, as a warning to her laughing sisters.
Adagio and Aria looked just in time to see two bright red lasers shoot from Sonata's eyes. The two leaped out of the way, hovering in midair and barely escaping the red hot lasers. The flower on the coffee table caught fire and the vase that held it shattered to bits. Adagio and Aria raced over to the coffee table and Aria started blowing on the small flame hoping to extinguish it.
"I could use a little help here!" Aria exclaimed. "Instead of standing there like Sonata, you could at least get some water to put this fire out before the whole house burns down!"
"Hey, I'm standing right here, y'know!" Sonata called.
Adagio growled angrily before taking a deep breath and blowing on the fire with all her might. After a few seconds, Sonata called:
"Okay Dagi, it's out!"
Adagio stopped and looked down at the table, confirming that the fire was positively out. What she saw, made her double over in hysterical laughter. Aria was literally frozen in the process of blowing out the fire. She could still move her eyes, and she glared at Adagio through her icy prison.
"I must say Aria," Adagio said, as she looked over Aria's statue. "You make quite a lovely centerpiece."
She turned to Sonata with a smirk.
"Sonata, would you care to do the honors?"
Sonata smiled and her eyes lit up.
"Sure thing, Dagi, I got it!"
Two red, hot lasers shot from Sonata's eyes and began melting the ice. In a matter of seconds, the ice was melted and Aria was freed from her frozen prison. She lay on the floor, shivering and soaking wet.
"Feel better, Ari?" Sonata asked cheerily.
"I would thank you, but you almost burned me Sonata!" Aria shouted through chattering teeth.
"Hey, at least, I helped!" Sonata shot back.
"Well, surprise, surprise, the idiot actually helps without ruining everything in the process!" Aria shot back.
"Yeah, well you're....DUMB !!" Sonata shouted.
"Oh, what a genius comeback where'd you get it, the back of a cereal box?" Aria asked with sarcasm.
"Actually, I did, and I'm quite proud of it, thank you very much," Sonata angrily replied.
"That was sarcasm , you idiot!" Aria shouted.
"You are!" Sonata spat.
"Am not!" Aria returned.
"Are too!"
"Am not !"
"Are too !"
"Am NOT !!!"
"Are TOO !!!"
"AM NOT !!!!
"ARE...TOOOOOOOO !!!!!!"
Sonata's scream resonated against the walls at a super high pitch; shattering almost every piece of glass in the house.
"ENOUGH !!!" Adagio shouted stopping her sisters' arguing completely.
They both turned to the eldest siren.
"Don't you see, girls? With these powers, we could take our revenge on the Rainbooms, and take over this pathetic world. Once we've successfully conquered this world...Equestria will be ours.~"
Aria and Sonata looked at each other and shared an evil grin. They turned back to Adagio who stood at the shattered window.
"We can't just go in all willy-nilly, though," she said, turning back to her sisters. "We need to train and master our new abilities before we can conquer this world or Equestria. We'll start training tomorrow."
Adagio looked at the broken windows and then at Sonata, who grinned sheepishly.
"Just as soon as we can get all of these windows fixed..."

Oh, and I know that it says that this chapter was published on February 9, 2015, but it was actually published today: February 17, 2015. Just to clear up some confusion.
The Dazzlings' Chemical X-Ident
The sun had risen on this Saturday morning only a few hours ago and Sonata was already up. She literally flew downstairs in her pink pajamas, planted herself on the floor, and switched the television on. Sonata sat in front of the television eating a bowl of the sweetest, most sugary cereal that the supermarket had to offer. It was good that she could fix a simple bowl of cereal without a catastrophe taking place. She giggled in delight as her favorite Saturday morning cartoon began. The orchestrated, heroic music blared from the TV just as Aria trudged her way down the stairs in her hoodie and a pair of jeans. Her hair was done up in its usual twin tails, just sloppier.
"You mind turning that down?" she grumbled and let out a yawn. "In case you didn't know, it's 8 in the morning."
"Sorry, Ari, can't right now, my show's starting!" Sonata said with glee.
Aria glanced at the TV and saw three little kindergarten age girls with humongous heads and eyes flying around and beating up criminals. The redheaded one with the big red bow on her head looked like she was the leader. The blonde one with pigtails reminded her of Sonata, a lot. The brunette was the tough one.
"You're always bossing us around, and I'm sick of it!" the brunette snapped at the redhead.
"I'm right there with you, sister," Aria spoke, walking into the kitchen.
Aria poured herself a cup of coffee and opened the freezer. She retrieved a small package of frozen sausage and emptied it onto a plate. However, before she put it in the microwave she looked at it, and then at Sonata. She thought back to yesterday when Sonata used her laser vision to burn the flower and melt the ice that encased her.
"I wonder..." Aria thought aloud.
Aria set the plate down on the counter and focused her gaze on the frozen sausages. Her eyes began to feel hot and turn red. A split second later, two red hot beams shot from her eyes and began to heat the sausages. They began to sizzle under her gaze and smell really good. After about a minute, Aria stopped and looked at her work. The sausages were cooked to perfection and ready to be eaten. Aria smiled to herself and went back into the living room to enjoy her breakfast.
Aria sat on the couch and looked on as Sonata watched her show. Soon, the end credits began to roll and Sonata shot into the air, again, flying in circles.
"That was the greatest episode ever!" she cheered. "Did you see the way that they beat up that mean, old monster? It was awesomesauce, for realzies!"
"Sonata, you're ten thousand years old and you're still watching kiddie shows?" Aria said with a smirk.
"Well, at least, the shows I watch are way better than the shows you watch." Sonata replied, crossing her arms in a pout.
"Are you kidding?!" Aria laughed. "Wrestling is awesome!"
"Oh, then I guess I was mistaken when I heard the Sailor Moon theme song down here last week," Sonata said with a wicked glint in her eyes.
Aria's eyes went wide and a massive bright blush formed on her face.
"I thought we decided to keep that a secret!" Aria whispered through gritted teeth. "You promised not to tell anyone!"
Sonata giggled and hovered above Aria.
"Oh, I haven't told anyone...yet . Ooh, let's not forget your little cosplay session, and the massive amount of selfies you took."
Sonata held up Aria's phone showing her multiple photos of herself in a Sailor Moon costume. Aria's blush deepened significantly and her face was almost completely red.
"Wh-where did you get that?!" Aria stuttered and reached up, trying to snatch her phone away. "Give it back!"
"Does it matter?" Sonata asked, a smirk painted on her face. "Oh, and don't worry, I took plenty of pictures and videos myself."
Aria's eyes widened in horror, her face completely beet red.
Sonata turned the phone to herself, holding it higher and chuckling as she scrolled through the photos.
"I personally prefer the Hatsune Miku costume, don't you?" she said.
A wicked grin plastered itself onto Sonata's face and she leaned close to Aria, the latter attempting to back away only to find herself trapped. Beads of sweat began to form on Aria's forehead; her heart and breathing rates climbing by the minute. Aria could feel Sonata's breath on her face as she stared into her little sister's suddenly dark eyes.
"Now," Sonata began darkly. "If you want me to keep this little secret of yours safe, you won't say another word about my favorite shows. Unless you want me to leak these onto the Internet..."
"Y-you wouldn't dare..." Aria said.
"Oh, no?" Sonata asked her thumb over the upload button on Aria's phone. "So, are we in agreement?"
Aria could only nod as the sheer terror had prevented her from speaking. Sonata's face suddenly lit up as if nothing had happened.
"Great! Thanks, Ari, I'm gonna go get dressed!" she said, cheerily.
Sonata flew up the stairs and Aria heard her giggling at the top. She wiped the sweat from her brow, her heart still racing.
"Sometimes I worry about that little idiot ." Aria thought to herself.
Adagio came downstairs and looked at Aria with confusion.
"What's wrong with you?" Adagio asked. "You look pale."
"I don't wanna talk about it..." Aria replied, her voice shaking slightly.

"Alright girls, let's establish what new abilities we have," Adagio said.
Sonata raised her hand excitedly.
"Ooh, ooh, Dagi, pick me!" she said.
Adagio groaned and pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance.
"Yes, Sonata?"
"We can fly!" Sonata said as she hovered in midair.
"Sonata, how do I put this lightly?" Adagio growled angrily. "I said new abilities! We already know we can fly! See?!"
Both Adagio and Aria floated up to their little sister's level easily.
"Oh, yeah I forgot," Sonata giggled scratching the back of her head.
"Anything else besides flying?" Adagio asked, turning to Aria and glaring slightly at Sonata.
"Well, I just found out that I have laser vision, too," Aria said triumphantly.
"Show me," Adagio sneered.
"Gladly," Aria replied.
She focused her gaze on Sonata and grinned evilly.
"Aria, what are you doing?" Sonata asked fearfully.
Aria's only reply was:
"Payback."
Sonata zipped out of Aria's line of sight just in time for the lasers to hit a nearby tree.
"Watch where you're shooting!" Sonata exclaimed angrily. "You almost hit me!"
"That was the plan," Aria said with a laugh.
Suddenly, a loud creaking noise resounded in the air. The Dazzlings looked toward the tree that Aria hit to see that it was coming down at an angle that would destroy their home. The worst part of it all was that this wasn't just an ordinary tree, and Sonata knew it.
"PEANUT!!! " she screamed and dove toward the tree.
She grabbed it and hauled it above her head with ease. She placed the tree back on its stump and held it in place. Adagio and Aria looked on in shock. Sonata looked up at her bewildered sisters and called out to them.
"The tree's not going to hold! Dagi, Ari, I need your help!"
The two looked at each other and flew over to Sonata. They saw Peanut and a few other squirrels, presumably his family, standing around the tree. Sonata lifted the tree and sat it on its side. She then turned to Adagio and Aria.
"Girls, can you help me lift this into the backyard?" she asked them.
Without a word, the two sirens each took hold of one end of the tree while Sonata took the middle to balance it out. Together, the three sirens flew the tree into their backyard.
"What now?" Aria asked as they set the tree down.
"The tree's too long to stay back here on its side," Adagio said. "We need to cut it to a suitable size."
She turned to Aria.
"Aria, on my mark, we'll start cutting from each end until Sonata says to stop."
"How do you know you have laser vision?" Aria asked.
"If you two have it, then I must have it too," Adagio replied.
"That makes sense," Sonata added.
Aria shrugged and turned to her end of the tree. Adagio gave the signal and the two started to slice the tree on either end until it was about the size of an average log.
"It's perfect!" Sonata cheered. "How do you like your new home Peanut?"
Peanut and his family cheeped happily and ran inside their new home.
"All in a day's work!" Sonata said triumphantly, as she stood in a heroic pose.
Adagio and Aria both facepalmed until all three sirens suddenly heard someone clapping. They returned to the front yard to see a very short person in a beige trenchcoat and a large fedora on their head. White gloves covered his hands and white boots covered his feet. Sonata immediately recognized the person.
"Hey, it's you!" Sonata called.
"You know him?" Adagio and Aria asked in unison.
"Duh, of course, I know him!" Sonata replied with a roll of her eyes. "He's the guy who gave me the taco sauce that gave us superpowers!"
Sonata flew over to the man and smiled at him.
"Hey, mister, did the operation go well?"
"Oh, yes it went very well..." The man replied. "I did not expect the effects to take hold so suddenly."
"Well, it's good to see that you're all better!" Sonata said with a smile. "By the way, I never did catch your name."
The man chuckled to himself and began to remove his trenchcoat and fedora. He threw them to the ground and stood before the Dazzlings in all of his glory. A white dome with purple stripes sat atop his head. A violet cape flowed behind him and he wore an indigo suit with a white belt around his waist. The three sisters looked on in silence until Sonata started screaming.
"Sweet seas below, he's been MUTILATED !!!"
"I think you mean mutated ." Adagio corrected.
"Who are you?" Aria asked. "For that matter, what are you?"
"I am a being of extreme intelligence. Intelligence far beyond that of an average human. Yes, I am indeed mutated, by the same thing that has given you superpowers. I was only but a simple primate, a chimpanzee to be exact, with seemingly no intelligence whatsoever. After an accidental explosion, I became a being so incredibly intelligent that I gained the ability to speak, meaning that I can talk. Through my intelligence, I have created many things so incredibly complex that even modern day scientists could not comprehend the complexity of my inventions. Also, on the day of that accidental explosion, I was mutated, transformed and disfigured into the being you see before you. Henceforth, I became known as, meaning that my name became known to the world as, the one and only, meaning that I,me, myself alone am the only one to be named Mojo Jojo!"
The Dazzlings were silent once again.
"Yes, well that's great and all, but we have to be going now," Adagio said, grabbing Sonata and pushing Aria toward the house.
"I thought you wanted to rule this world," Mojo said with a sneer.
Adagio froze and turned back to Mojo with a smirk of her own.
"Now you've peaked my interest." she said.
"Excellent," Mojo said, wringing his hands together. "With your powers and my genius, the people of this world will crawl at our feet."
Sonata looked at Mojo and suddenly gasped.
"Girls, we can't trust him!!" she said.
"Why not?" Aria asked.
"He's just like the villain in my favorite show: The Powderpuffy Girls!" Sonata cried. "He's Koko Bobo; the archenemy Bellossom, Blissey, and Butterfree!! He's evil!"
"You still watch that kid show?" Adagio laughed.
"Don't talk to her about that," Aria warned.
"You'll have to excuse our little sister," Adagio said, smiling at Mojo. "We think she was dropped on her head when she was a fill--I mean, baby. Now, what were you saying about taking over this world?"
Sonata glared at Adagio and then at Mojo. She didn't care what her sisters thought. She knew what she was talking about, and she was going to stop Mojo Jojo no matter what it took.

The Dazzlings' Chemical X-Ident
To Be Or Not To Be A Hero
Sonata sat in her bedroom while Adagio and Aria were downstairs conversing with Mojo. She sighed to herself and pulled her knees up to her chest. Why didn't her sisters ever listen to her? Why did they always make fun of her or call her names? Did they even love her anymore? It always seemed that if she tried to do something good or help out, it was always wrong. Sonata was extremely confused. She sat her head in her arms and quietly sobbed.
"What happened to us? " Sonata thought to herself. "I thought we were a team... "
Sonata was snapped out of her thoughts by a soft scratching noise. She turned to her window and saw Peanut scratching at the glass. Sonata wiped her eyes and slid off of her bed, walking slowly to the window. She unlocked the window and pulled it up, letting Peanut inside. The little squirrel hopped on Sonata's shoulder as she sadly walked back to her bed.
"Hey, Peanut, how's it going?" Sonata asked sadly.
Peanut cheeped at Sonata in concern.
"Oh, it's nothing," Sonata said; a fake smile on her face. "Adagio just told me to stay up here so I wouldn't be in the way."
Peanut put his paws on his hips in a scolding fashion. He knew that Sonata was upset, and he knew that she was lying to him. He hopped off of her shoulder and sat in front of Sonata, cheeping at her. Sonata understood every word.
"Okay, okay," Sonata said, admitting defeat. "I...I just don't think my sisters want me around anymore."
Peanut had a confused look on his face.
"Have you seen the way that they treat me?!" Sonata asked angrily. "I mean, even before the whole Battle of the Bands thing, they treated me like trash."
Sonata chuckled weakly.
"Heh, Adagio always said that Mom liked her best...maybe she was right."
Peanut stamped his foot on the bed and made a heart shape over his chest with his paws.
"Love me?!" Sonata laughed. "They love themselves more than they could ever love me, especially Adagio!"
Tears brimmed in Sonata's eyes and her voice softened.
"Let's just face it, Peanut, I honestly think that Adagio and Aria would be better off without me. They probably would have won the Battle of the Bands too if I were never here."
Sonata flopped face first onto her bed and sobbed into her pillow. Peanut hated to see his friend so sad. He snuggled close to her head and nuzzled her tearstained face with his tiny nose.
"Now, that is entirely not true," a voice echoed.
Sonata lifted her head and looked up. Her eyes went wide as she saw the glowing form of her and her sisters' Equestrian mother: the queen of the sirens. She was just as divine as Princess Celestia herself.
"M-mama...?" Sonata gasped, then rubbed her eyes. "Wait, maybe that taco sauce is making me see and hear things."
The elder siren chuckled lightly.
"I assure you that you are not dreaming, my daughter."
"Mama, why are you here?" Sonata asked.
"I came to see my beautiful girl," the siren spoke. "I heard that you were having a bit of trouble with your sisters."
"I just don't feel like they want me around anymore, Mama," Sonata replied sadly. "It feels like they don't love me."
"Oh, sweetheart, you know they love you." the siren queen said. "They just have a hard time showing it, that's all."
"But, every time I try to do something good or be helpful, they always yell at me, and tell me that I'm wrong," Sonata said, hanging her head.
Then, a thought came to Sonata's head.
"Mama, am I doing the right thing?"
"That is for you to decide, my daughter." the siren queen spoke. "You can only ask yourself what is right and wrong."
The elder siren leaned closer to her daughter, setting a hoof on her cheek. She whispered softly into Sonata's ear.
"Always remember, Sonata, your heart will guide you on the right path."
Sonata looked up at her mother and smiled, wrapping her arms around her glowing form.
"Thanks, Mama, I love you," Sonata said, a tear rolling down her cheek.
"I love you too, my sweet," the queen replied, planting a small kiss on her daughter's forehead.
With that, the queen's body faded away into thin air.
Sonata smiled and her heart fluttered with confidence. She wiped the remaining tears from her eyes and turned to Peanut, who was shaking his furry tail in excitement.
"C'mon, Peanut," Sonata said. "We're going flying! I'm gonna be the hero this time, and show Dagi and Aria what my powers can really do!"
Peanut cheeped in glee and hopped on Sonata's shoulder. Sonata floated into the air and flew out of the window, heading toward the city. Little did she know that Mojo was listening to everything right behind her door.
-ooooooooo-
Sonata flew above the city looking over everything that passed her down below. No one seemed to notice the flying girl or the blue streak that she left behind her.
"Wow," Sonata gasped. "The people look like tiny little ants from up here."
Sonata glanced up at her shoulder and saw Peanut hanging on for dear life. She could feel him slightly shaking, and she couldn't help but giggle a bit.
"Don't worry, Peanut, I'm not gonna let you fall. I'll slow down, okay?"
Peanut nodded his head, as Sonata slowed her flying down to a steady glide. That is, until:
"HELP!!! HELP, SOMEBODY!!! "
Sonata looked down and gasped as she saw an old woman being robbed by a punky looking teenage girl with a brown aviator jacket, ripped jeans and combat boots. The girl's hair was white with purple highlights, and her bright yellow eyes were alight with fury.
"Let go of the purse, grandma!" she shouted.
Sonata turned Peanut.
"You better hang on, buddy, this is gonna get bumpy!"
Peanut gripped onto Sonata as she zoomed down to the scene of the crime.
"Stop right there, criminal scum!" she shouted, pointing at the girl.
The girl turned and laughed at Sonata.
"Get lost, dweeb, can't you see I'm busy?"
"Alright, I warned you," Sonata said.
Almost as quick as lightning, Sonata punched the girl right in the jaw. The girl stumbled back, stunned. She lunged at Sonata who caught the oncoming punch with ease. It only took one uppercut to send the girl flying. Sonata looked on, giggling in delight as the girl disappeared from sight. She landed in front of the old woman, who was smiling at her.
"Oh, thank ya so much, child," she said, in a sweet southern accent.
"No problem, ma'am!" Sonata replied. "Just thought I'd help out."
"Thank ya, dear," the woman said. "Oh, but if it isn't too much trouble, would you help me cross the street? The traffic today is just terrible."
"Of course," Sonata said happily and gently lifted the woman off her feet. "Hang on, okay?"
Sonata slowly flew over the chaotic traffic. Once they were safe across the street, Sonata gently set the old woman down on the sidewalk. The woman reached into her purse and handed Sonata a few bills.
"Here, dearie, for your troubles."
"Oh, no need ma'am," Sonata replied. "Just doing what comes naturally."
"Well, thank ya again," the woman said, with a smile and then noticed Peanut on Sonata's shoulder.
"Oh, what a cute little chipmunk."
Peanut squeaked in surprise and anger. Sonata giggled and whispered to him.
"Don't worry Peanut, little old ladies confuse things all the time."
Peanut crossed his arms, then pulled at Sonata's hair, pointing at a tree in the distance. Sonata looked and gasped. She then turned to the old woman with a smile.
"Gotta go, looks like there's a little kitty stuck in a tree. Duty calls!"
With a wave, Sonata took off, a bright blue streak in her wake. Just as soon as Sonata left, Applejack came running toward the old woman, who was actually her grandmother, Granny Smith.
"Granny, Ah heard ya screamin'! What happened?!"
"Ah was just saved by a supergirl," said Granny Smith still staring off into the sky.
Applejack looked at her grandmother in surprise and confusion.
"Alright, Granny, let's get ya home. Ah think ya had enough exercise for one day."
-ooooooooo-
Sonata landed in front of the front door of her house and smiled at Peanut.
"OMG, Peanut, that was the best time I've ever had! I feel great! I can't wait to tell Dagi and Aria about it!"
Just as she was about to open the door, it swung open on its own, revealing an obviously angered Adagio.
"Hi, Dagi--," Sonata said but was cut off almost immediately.
"Don't "Hi Dagi " me, where have you been?!" Adagio shouted.
"I was out in the city!" Sonata said excitedly. "You wouldn't believe the awesome--"
"Let me guess, you were out buying tacos again?" Adagio asked.
"No, but I--," Sonata said but was interrupted again.
"Sonata, I don't want to hear it! It's always excuses with you! Seriously, why can't you just grow up?!"
Sonata felt tears brimming in her eyes. Why was Adagio yelling at her? What did she do?
"You know what Sonata, Aria and I would be better off taking over the world without you! Go out in the backyard and play with your little rodent friend, hopefully, he gives you rabies!"
Just before Adagio could shut the door, Sonata shot back:
"What if I don't want to?"
Adagio looked at Sonata in bewilderment as if she had shot her through the chest. Then, her face contorted in rage and with one swift motion, she slapped Sonata across the face, hard. Sonata fell to the ground and looked up at Adagio with tears flowing down her cheeks.
"D-Dagi...." she whispered.
"Don't EVER call me that again, you sorry excuse of a siren! You are a disgrace to our kind!" Adagio screamed and slammed the door shut.
Peanut jumped off of Sonata's shoulder and started scratching at the door angrily, cheeping wildly. He pounded his tiny paws against the door, trying to get Adagio to come out as Sonata sobbed on the ground.
"It..it's alright, Peanut." Sonata hiccupped. "Let's just go to the backyard."
Sonata shakily stood and made her way to the backyard with Peanut in tow. She sat on the grass in front of Peanut's home. She softly touched her sore cheek, wincing at the sudden painful sensation. Peanut sat in front of her and patted her leg. Sonata weakly smiled and scratched Peanut's head.
"I'm fine, Peanut, really," she said. "Maybe Adagio's right this time. Maybe I am worthless..."
Suddenly, Peanut began jumping around and waving his arms around frantically. He was pointing behind Sonata and his face was that of fear.
"Peanut, what's the matter? What's wrong?" Sonata asked.
Sonata turned around but didn't even have time to scream before a sweet smelling cloth was thrown over her mouth and nose. Sonata fought to the best of her ability before her eyes began to flutter shut.
"That's right, sleep, my little siren..." a deep masculine voice purred in her ear.
The last thing Sonata heard before she finally blacked out was the sound of evil laughter.

The Dazzlings' Chemical X-Ident
Sonata awoke with a soft groan. Her head throbbed like she had just been hit by a freight train. She tried to move her head to shake off the pain but found that her head was held in place by a metal band. She struggled to move, but the braces around her arms and legs held her firmly in place on a cold metal platform.
"Well, it appears that the little do-gooder is awake..." a deep masculine voice said.
Sonata immediately recognized the voice.
"Mojo!" Sonata gasped. "Let me go!"
"Oh, I am afraid that I cannot do that," Mojo replied. "You have become a threat to my plan. I thought you wanted to rule the world with your sisters."
Sonata looked away, tears brimming in her eyes. She remembered Adagio slapping her, and still felt the sting of the hand on her face.
"I did, but...." Sonata began.
"Oh, it appears that they do not want you anymore." Mojo sneered. "They want nothing more to do with you. They hate you; they do not love you."
"Shut up!" Sonata screamed. "You're lying! My sisters love me, and they're gonna whoop your monkey butt when they find out that you kidnapped me!"
"Is that so?" Mojo asked with a smirk. "If they "love " you so much, why aren't they here?"
"They'll come if they find out that you hurt me!" Sonata shot back.
"Why don't we test that theory?" Mojo asked, moving his gloved hand to a button.
Sonata's eyes widened in horror as she saw a large laser gun rising slowly, pointing directly at her. Mojo pressed another button and a lime green laser shot at her. A burning and extremely painful sensation shot through Sonata's body. She screamed and thrashed about in agony while Mojo laughed all the while. After about a minute, Mojo shut the laser off. Sonata was left shaking in pain. Mojo chuckled and put a hand to his ear.
"I do not hear your sisters approaching," he sneered. "It looks like you were wrong, not correct, and above all stupid to think that your sisters would ever come to your rescue."
"Y-you're wrong..." Sonata whispered, breathing heavily. "They'll come, I know they will...You can't make me believe anything different."
"You are a brave one," Mojo said. "You are confident in your belief that your sisters actually care about you. They ridicule you, abuse you every day, and you still believe that they love you?"
Mojo laughed evilly and walked up to Sonata, placing his gloved hand under her chin.
"Oh, Sonata Dusk, if only there were someone who loved you, you idiotic millennium aged infant."
"I don't care what you think," Sonata said. "And I'm not a baby!"
"If you think you are so strong, let us see how you take the laser on an even higher setting," Mojo said evilly.
Mojo then turned the dial on his laser from 2 to 8. The laser whirred and fired an even stronger beam straight at Sonata. Sonata slammed her eyes shut and ground her teeth in pain. She refused to cry out or scream, even as Mojo turned up the juice. Sonata struggled by pure willpower not to scream, and a small trickle of blood fell from her nose from the strain.
The laser stopped. Sonata looked up at Mojo and a weak smile came upon her face.
"S-see...? I told you I could do it..." she said weakly. "Even...without my sisters here...I'm still just as strong on my own.."
"Hmm, you are quite the fighter, young siren," Mojo mused. "However, let us see how strong you are with the laser setting on 15, the highest, greatest, largest, and most powerful setting!"
Mojo turned the dial and turned the laser on once more. The pain was excruciating, and Sonata did everything in her power to keep from screaming, but it was too much. She cried out in agony and tears streamed from her eyes. Mojo laughed as he shut the laser off. Sonata looked up and whimpered.
"P-please...no more...."
Mojo only grinned maliciously as his hand made his way to the power switch of the laser. Sonata's eyes widened in horror. Mojo pressed the button, and Sonata's screams echoed throughout the entire city.
-oooooooooo-
Peanut looked through the window of the Dazzlings' home and saw Adagio sitting on the couch flipping through the TV channels in a bored manner. Aria joined her looking just as bored, if not more.
"Y'know Dagi," Aria said. "The house has never been this quiet before. It's almost scary."
"That's because the little twerp and her pet are out of the house and out of my hair," Adagio replied. "Speaking of which, go check on her. See if she hasn't keeled over from hunger yet."
"Why would you say that Adagio?" Aria asked.
"Don't tell me you actually care about that little idiot!" Adagio laughed.
Aria crossed her arms and turned away to hide the look of concern on her face.
"I don't!" Aria laughed, but there was a hint of nervousness in her voice. " Pshh, like I'm worried about that moron."
Aria got up off of the couch and walked toward the window. The same thought kept running through her head as she got closer.
"Please be okay Sonata... "
Aria looked out the window and saw in horror that Sonata wasn't out there. She opened the window and looked out further only to further confirm her fears. Sonata was nowhere to be seen. Aria then heard a cheeping noise. She looked down and saw Peanut on the windowsill.
"Hey, it's you," Aria whispered, trying not to catch Adagio's attention. "What's the matter little guy? Where's Sonata?"
Peanut started cheeping wildly and jumping about. He pointed to the TV and Aria could only look on in confusion. Peanut ran inside the house and hopped on the arm of the couch. Adagio saw him and screamed, scuttling away from the little squirrel as fast as she could.
"Aria, how did that rat get in here?!"
"Calm down Adagio, it's just a squirrel," Aria said. "Oh, and Sonata's not in the backyard."
"What do you mean?" Adagio asked.
"I mean, Sonata's not in the backyard," Aria replied. "She vanished, and I think her little friend is trying to tell us where she is."
Peanut nodded and snatched the remote control from Adagio's hand. He switched the channel to a news station and the two sirens saw a giant mechanical android with a dome over its head stomping through the city.
"Hey, he's starting without us!" Adagio exclaimed, and then looked at the clock. "No wonder! He told us to meet him at 3:00 and it's 3:30! Come on Aria, we're already late as it is!"
Adagio zoomed out of the house and toward the city while Aria stayed behind and watched the rest of the broadcast. The next image that came onto the screen made Aria's heart sink into her stomach. There was Sonata, strapped in some kind of machine and pretty much out of it. Aria wasted no time in grabbing Peanut and flying as fast as she could to the city.

"Sonata, why won't you ever grow up?! "
"Don't you get it, you idiot?! No one likes you! "
"This is all YOUR fault! "
"You're so stupid! "
"If you weren't around, we would've won! "
"You big baby! "
"Mother just kept you around because you were so pathetic! She never loved you, and neither do we! "
"No.....not...true..." Sonata mumbled in her delirious state.
Tears fell down the young siren's cheeks as she was slapped awake by Mojo Jojo. Mojo looked at her and smiled evilly.
"Now Sonata Dusk, you will watch as your beloved city is destroyed under the iron fist of the bad; the evil Mojo Jojo, and your "oh so loving" sisters..."
Sonata's eyes drooped, and Mojo slapped her again to keep her awake. She was so weak that she could barely keep her eyes open on her own. She had lost all faith of her sisters coming to rescue her. All she felt was the pain as she began to sob. Mojo left the room and sealed Sonata in silence and darkness.

Adagio looked down on the fleeing people below her and a chuckle escaped her lips.
"It feels good to be on top again."
Before she knew what happened, Aria zoomed in front of her, putting her hands out in front of her. Adagio skidded to a stop, barely colliding with her younger sister.
"Aria, what are you doing?!" she scolded. "Get out of the way!"
"Adagio, we can't do this!" Aria said.
"What are you talking about?" Adagio asked, crossing her arms.
"We can't help Mojo!" Aria said. "He's got Sonata!"
"So?" Adagio asked. "How does this affect me?"
"Wake up, Adagio!" Aria screamed. "He could be hurting her, or worse!"
"Again, how does this affect me?" Adagio said, shrugging.
"You don't care, do you?" Aria asked. "Even after Mother entrusted you to look out for us."
Adagio's eyes widened, and her heart jumped into her throat. She looked her younger sister dead in the eyes, her fists clenched tight.
"Right before Sonata left for the city, I felt her presence," Aria continued. "She was there, and I could almost hear her. You--no, we promised to look out for Sonata, and we all promised Mother that we'd look out for each other. We're sisters, Adagio; a team, and we've been that way for the last ten thousand years or so. What makes it so hard to do that now?"
Adagio was speechless. She looked at Aria and suddenly saw the heavenly form of their mother. Her eyes widened in shock as her mother began to speak to her.
"Go, my daughter, your sister needs you. You must save her. "
Just as her mother's image vanished, Adagio gained a look of confidence on her face.
"Come on, Aria, Sonata needs us."
Aria smiled, and nodded in agreement, both sisters flying off to save their little sister from the clutches of Mojo Jojo.

Mojo stood at the window of the giant robot which was actually its eye. He grinned as he saw the two elder sirens approaching. He pressed a button on his control panel to let them in. Adagio and Aria landed inside and glared angrily at Mojo.
"Hello, girls, what seems to be the matter?" Mojo said with a smile.
"Where's Sonata?" Aria asked with a snarl.
Mojo chuckled and pressed another button.
"I am glad you asked..." he said.
A door opened behind Mojo revealing Sonata still strapped to the platform. Sonata looked up and smiled weakly. Adagio and Aria smiled back, but before they could take one step, Mojo stopped them.
"Now, girls, I would not do that if I were you..." he said and another laser gun appeared in front of Sonata.
"We're taking Sonata, Mojo Jojo," Adagio said. "The deal's off."
"One step and your sister will be doused with Antidote X, ridding her of her powers." Mojo sneered.
"Forget the powers, just let our sister go!" Aria shouted.
"So be it," Mojo said and reached for the button.
Adagio smirked at Aria, who then grinned at Peanut. Peanut jumped off of Aria's shoulder and charged at Mojo. He leaped up and started scratching Mojo's face like mad. Adagio and Aria took this opportunity to race to Sonata's aid. The sisters tried to pull the braces off of Sonata's limbs but found that even with their superhuman strength, the braces wouldn't budge. Mojo had unknowingly thrown Peanut off of his face and turned on the laser that Sonata was familiar with instead of the Antidote X laser.
"Watch out!" Sonata screamed.
Adagio and Aria fell backward as Sonata was blasted with the laser again at full force. She screamed in agony as Mojo fled from the scene. Aria quickly used her laser vision to blow the laser to bits. Adagio managed to break the braces that held Sonata. Sonata fell limp from the machine, but Adagio caught her right before she hit the ground. Sonata lay unconscious in Adagio's arms.
"Sonata?" Adagio whispered. "Sonata, can you hear me?"
Sonata's head fell limply to the side and Adagio gasped when she saw the faint slap mark on Sonata's cheek. Tears brimmed in the eldest siren's eyes as she held her little sister close.
"Oh, Sonata..." Adagio said sadly. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."
Aria looked on, trying to fight the oncoming tears.
"Sonata, stay with me!" Adagio pleaded, shaking Sonata's still body. "Please, wake up!"
"Adagio...it's over," Aria said, hanging her head in defeat. "She's...gone."
"Sonata..." Adagio sobbed. "I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. This is all my fault..."
Adagio leaned down and lightly kissed Sonata's forehead. Peanut climbed onto Aria's shoulder and hung his head.
"SONATA!!!!!! " Adagio shouted to the heavens, tears streaming from her eyes.
"N-not so loud Dagi...you're screaming in my ear..."
Adagio looked down and saw Sonata smiling up at her.
"I didn't know you cared..." she said sweetly.
Adagio pulled Sonata closer to her and hugged her tight. Aria rushed over and joined in on the group hug.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again." Adagio laughed. "Do you hear me?"
Sonata nodded and then grinned devilishly.
"Now let's go kick some monkey butt..."
Adagio and Aria nodded in agreement and the three sisters took off.
-oooooooooo-
Mojo flew an escape pod through the city blasting buildings, streets and barely missing the fleeing people. Mojo laughed evilly, but just as he opened his eyes, he saw Adagio floating in front of him crossing her arms and smirking.
"There are three rules of villainy," she said. "Rule one: Never put a self-destruct button in a huge robot."
Mojo turned to fly in another direction but wound up right in front of Aria.
"Rule two: Don't try to escape and cause havok as to where the hero can easily find you."
Mojo, again, tried to run but found himself nearly face to face with Sonata. Mojo smiled nervously.
"Rule three:" Sonata said. "You mess with one supergirl...you mess with 'em all!"
Adagio and Aria joined Sonata on either side. The three girls shared a smirk and then with one mighty punch, Mojo went flying, his escape pod getting stuck inside the robot. Together, the three sirens lifted the giant robot and chucked it into the air. It winked out of sight and with a boom, Mojo was gone; coincidentally landing in the city prison.
"Curses...." he muttered.
The Dazzlings landed softly to the ground where a crowd had gathered around them. Everyone was silent until a sweet southern voice came up from the crowd.
"Lookie here, it's the supergirl that saved me!"
Sonata waved to Granny Smith, and Applejack looked on in surprise.
"Well, I'll be a sidewinder's sister..." she gasped.
The crowd erupted with uproarious cheers and applause. The Dazzlings stood in the midst of it all, their faces were those of surprise and astonishment. A wave of warmth washed over the three sisters.
"So, this is what it feels like to be truly adored," Adagio said with a smile.
"I know, and it feels great!" Sonata chimed.
"Y'know Sonata," Aria said. "For once, I agree with you."
Just then the city's mayor ran into the center of the crowd, with what appeared to be a telephone in her hands.
"You girls are heroes!" the mayor said. "It would be an honor to have you three to protect our city. This hotline will be used to call you whenever there's trouble."
Adagio gladly took it and shook the mayor's hand with a smile.
"Don't worry, Miss Mayor, you can count on us."
"When there's trouble, you know who to call," Aria stated with a smirk.
"The Dazzling Puff Girls!!" Sonata cheered.
Adagio and Aria looked at her in confusion.
"Too much?" Sonata asked sheepishly.
"I like it," said the mayor. "Dazzling Puffs! Dazzling Puffs!"
The crowd followed the mayor's lead and started chanting in unison. Smiling, the three siren sisters took off into the air; leaving a rainbow trail of pink, green, and blue behind them.
So, for the very first time, the day is saved thanks to...The Dazzling Puff Girls!

Bonus Chapter: A Rainy Day
The city of Canterlot, and what an amazing city it is.
It had only been a week, and the Dazzling Puff Girls were already all over the news labeled as Canterlot's defenders and superpowered crime fighters. Ever since their first battle with Mojo Jojo, the girls have started getting along better and gotten better at working as a team. Though they still argue every now and again, they're hardly at each other's throats anymore.
"ARIA!!!!! "
Well, it was great while it lasted.
Adagio stomped through the house looking for her sister with Sonata trailing behind.
"Where do you think she could be?" Sonata asked.
"She'd better be in her room," Adagio replied. "She's not anywhere else in the house. Plus, we've got to talk about her tardiness every time there was a distress call."
Adagio and Sonata entered Aria's room, but the middle siren was nowhere to be seen.
"Aria, where the heck are you?!" Adagio shouted angrily.
"Shh, listen," Sonata shushed her elder sister and pointed to the closet where a soft whispering sound could be heard.
Adagio and Sonata slowly approached the closet, and when Adagio opened it, both girls went slackjawed. Sitting inside the closet was Aria, but she was snuggling a violet blanket as she whispered:
"I am a good fighter...I am a good fighter...I am a good fighter..."
Both sirens remained silent as they watched their sister, the toughest of the three cuddling with a blanket as a child would. Sonata was the first to break the silence after she broke into a fit of giggles. Aria's eyes snapped open and she whipped her head around, facing her sisters at last. A bright blush formed across Aria's cheeks as she attempted to hide the blanket behind her back.
"Well, well, well, so this is where you've been hiding all week," Adagio said with a smirk.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Aria lied. "I was just...uh...d-drying my hair..? This is a towel."
"Nice try, Aria," Adagio replied. "You think you can fool me after we've lived together for over a thousand years?"
"I don't know which is worse!" Sonata laughed, wiping a tear from her eye. "This or her love for Sailor Moon!"
Aria's blush deepened and Adagio looked at her in disbelief, all while trying to hold back her laughter.
"Wait, you watch Sailor Moon?"
Adagio couldn't hold it back any longer and doubled over in hysterical laughter.
"All this time...ha ha hahaha! I thought it was Sonata downstairs at six in the morning! Hahahahaha! "
"Gee Ari, you're glowing!" Sonata chimed in, pointing at Aria's bright red cheeks.
"Yeah, well, this blanket has given me strength on all of our missions!" Aria spat. "We would've lost all those times if I didn't have it. You both should be thanking me."
Adagio and Sonata's laughter quieted to small giggles and then finally subsided.
"Wow Aria," Adagio said, wiping a tear from her eye. "I had no idea you were into such girly stuff."
"Yeah, well you're one to talk, Miss "Gotta catch 'em all! "
Now, it was Adagio's turn to blush.
"I saw how bad you wanted to correct Sonata when she called the characters from her show Pokémon names. Y'know: Bellossom, Blissey, and Butterfree?" Aria continued, smirking. "So, how many have you caught?"
"Well, carrying a blanket around is childish!" Adagio shouted back, trying to change the subject.
"Childish?!" Aria replied, clenching her fists. "Why I oughta..."
"Uh...girls," Sonata said, looking out the window. "I don't think the mayor's gonna call us today."
"Why?" Aria and Adagio asked in unison.
Sonata only had to point outside and her sisters understood. It was raining.
"Well, at least, we have the whole day to do whatever we want!" Sonata said happily.
Adagio and Aria glared at each other angrily before Adagio stomped off.
"I'll be in my room," she said and slammed her door shut.
"I'm going downstairs to watch TV," Aria said, throwing the blanket to the ground and stomping downstairs.
Sonata was left shaking her head as she followed Aria.
"Am I the only sane one in this house?"
-ooooooooooo-
Aria and Sonata sat on the couch boredly looking at the TV while Aria flipped through the channels. Sonata sighed and rested her head on the arm of the couch. The sound of the rain was making her sleepy. She looked over at Aria to see that she had fallen asleep instead of her. Sonata looked at the TV and her eyes widened at the sight of the commercial that was playing.
"DO YOU LOVE ANIME? "
Sonata nodded in response.
"DO YOU LOVE TO COSPLAY FROM YOUR FAVORITE ANIME? "
Sonata nodded again.
"LOOKING FOR A WAY TO CURE THE BOREDOM ON THIS RAINY DAY? "
"Get on with it already!" Sonata shouted at the TV.
"WELL, NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO ENTER THE CANTERLOT CITY COSPLAY CONTEST!!! "
Sonata gasped in delight and ran in front of the TV.
"What must I do?" she asked it.
"JUST SNAP A PHOTO OF YOURSELF, OR TAKE A GROUP SHOT WITH YOUR FRIENDS IN COSTUME AND SEND IT TO THE CANTERLOT CONVENTION CENTER!! IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT! "
Sonata's smile widened and she hugged the TV set.
"Oh, thank you, Mr. Announcer Guy!" she said happily. "This is gonna be the best rainy day ever!"
Sonata suddenly froze and began to ponder to herself.
"Wait, Dagi and Ari aren't gonna want to dress up for some silly contest. I have to find some way to make them actually want to do it, and I don't think my adorableness is gonna work this time."
Just then an idea popped into Sonata's head. It was an awful idea. A wonderfully, awful idea. She grinned evilly and wrung her hands together.
"I've got just the thing...~"
-ooooooooooo-
Sonata sat on the couch with a smug smirk on her face. She was waiting for Adagio to get downstairs so that she could set her master plan into action. Aria, who had just woken up, looked at her little sister suspiciously.
"What are you planning, Sonata?" she asked.
"You'll see...~" Sonata replied deviously.
Adagio walked downstairs and sat to the right of Sonata, who was sitting in the middle. She didn't want to sit next to or look at Aria, and Aria felt the exact same.
"Well, now that I'm down here, what do you want Sonata?" Adagio said.
"I want you two to make up, and there's only one solution," Sonata said.
Sonata held up a video game case and three controllers.
"Three rounds of Super Smash Bros. Best 2 out of 3 wins and the loser has to wear a costume from her favorite anime for the rest of the day, or until the rain stops. Whichever comes first."
"What makes you think we'd do something so stupid?" Aria asked.
Sonata only grinned and replied with:
"Revenge...~"
Aria glanced over at Adagio and vice versa. Both girls had an evil smirk on their lips and both shook Sonata's outstretched hands. Sonata set up the game and the three sirens were ready to select their characters.
"Who're you gonna pick, Dagi?" Sonata asked excitedly.
"Charizard, of course," Adagio replied smugly. "Being both a fire type and a flying type is a complete advantage over any character you two could pick."
"Oh, yeah?" Aria laughed. "Tell that to Captain Falcon!"
"I'll pick the Villager!" Sonata chimed.
Adagio and Aria looked at Sonata and then burst out laughing.
"Really Sonata?!" Adagio said. "How do you think that little kid is going to beat us?"
Sonata eyed the TV screen, looking at the Villager. The Villager looked back at her and she could see an evil glint in his big adorable eyes. For a split second, Sonata could see his butterfly net change into an ax with blood on it and himself. A wicked smile crossed Sonata's lips and she gripped her controller tighter, her gaze never breaking from the television screen.
30 Minutes Later.....
"Yay! I won! I won!!!" Sonata cheered.
Aria and Adagio looked on dumbfounded.
"H-how....?" Adagio stammered.
"I don't know," Aria replied, her voice shaking with fear. "But, I'm too scared to find out..."
"Truce to never speak of this again?" Adagio asked.
"Truce," Aria replied, shaking her elder sister's hand.
"Well, since you both lost, you know what that means!~" Sonata said, starting to float into the air.
She flew up the stairs and into her sister's rooms. She flew back downstairs with two costumes in her arms. Sonata handed them to her sisters and flew back upstairs to her room to change into her own costume.
"I understand the fact that she wanted us to make up, but why else would she make us wear these?" Adagio said.
Aria thought and suddenly smacked a palm to her forehead. She pointed to the TV.
"What?" Adagio asked. "Has Sonata been talking to the TV again?"
"No, the cosplay contest..." Aria muttered. "It's today."
"What?!" Adagio cried. "Why didn't you tell me?! I was going to surprise you two with tickets to the convention this year!"
"You were?" Aria asked, honestly surprised.
"Yes!" Adagio exclaimed. "I've been looking for flyers for the contest all over the place, and they show an ad for it now ?!"
"Don't panic," Aria said. "All we have to do is get changed and take a picture. That's all."
"Right, now c'mon, we don't have much time!" Adagio replied and pulled Aria into the bathroom.
About two minutes later, the girls came out of the bathroom dressed in their costumes. Adagio was dressed as a Pokémon trainer and Aria as Sailor Moon.
"Wow Dagi, hate to admit it, but you look pretty good." Aria complimented.
"You don't look too bad yourself," Adagio replied with a smile. "I wonder who Sonata's dressing up as."
"You're not the only one." Aria laughed.
Just as Aria said that Sonata came downstairs wearing a black lolita style dress embellished with blue bows, black and blue stockings, black heels, and a dark blue bow sat atop her head. Her hair fell loosely down her back and she held a small strawberry sucker between her newly glossed lips. Aria couldn't help but to stare as Sonata's hips swayed as she descended the stairs. Aria felt her face warm up significantly and a bright blush crosses her cheeks.
"Woah..." she whispered.
Aria was snapped out of her trance by a sharp smack to the back of her head. She was met with a scolding glare from Adagio. Aria fixed herself and put on a half smile as Sonata approached her.
"What do you think girls?" Sonata asked excitedly. "I couldn't decide whether or not to wear the wig."
Before Aria could say anything that would embarrass herself, Adagio cut in.
"I think you look just as good without it." she said, and Aria nodded in agreement.
"Yay!" Sonata cheered. "Now let's get that picture taken!"
Adagio reached into the pocket of her jean shorts and held up her phone. Her sisters got behind her while she set up the camera.
"Alright girls, on three," she said, positioning the camera in front of them. "One...two...three!"
"We look great!" Sonata chimed. "I hope we win!"
"Only way to be sure we have a chance," Adagio said.
Just as she was about to press the upload button, the hotline buzzed.
"Sonata, I thought you said the mayor wasn't going to call us today," Aria said.
Sonata shrugged and then looked out the window.
"Looks like it stopped raining," she stated matter of factly.
Adagio flew over to the hotline and answered it.
"What's the trouble, Miss Mayor?"
"Adagio, it's terrible!" the mayor cried. "You girls have to hurry, there's a giant tentacle monster rampaging through the city!"
Adagio's eyes widened in horror.
"Uh, yeah...s-sure, Mayor, we'll be right there..."
Adagio hung up and turned to her sisters who wore almost the exact same expression as her.
"Well, you heard the Mayor," Adagio said. "Let's go girls."
"Wait, let's change first," Sonata said. "Going out dressed like this might send the wrong message."
"Good point," Aria said, and the three zoomed upstairs to their rooms to change clothes.
So once again, the day is going to be saved thanks to the Dazzling Puff Girls! *Mwah!~* Goodnight everybody!~

It's finally done! This was a random chapter just for fun, but I enjoyed writing it nonetheless. I want to thank each and every one of you who stuck with the story until the very end! The Dazzlings' Chemical X-Ident
The air was hot and humid. The fight had been fierce, and the girls were up against a most fearsome foe. It seemed as if the apocalypse was upon the world. However, the world had not been on the brink of destruction earlier today.
12 HOURS AGO...
The bank of Canterlot was in the process of being robbed. The burly thieves had their guns pointed at the terrified tellers as they frantically stuffed the burlap sacks full of money. Just then, the Dazzling Puff Girls burst in through the doors, much to the relief of the citizens. Adagio led her sisters in the brawl. Guns fired in every direction, punches were thrown, and teeth were sent flying. In the end, the girls came out victorious. The police arrived not long after the criminals had been apprehended, and took them into custody.
"Another job well done, girls," Adagio said with pride. "Let's head home."
In a flash of color, the Dazzlings took off into the sky. However, as they flew, Sonata felt like she was being watched. She stopped and looked around for a brief moment. Seeing no one in her line of sight, she brushed it off and flew after her sisters.
"Hmm...you're not as dumb as you look, Sonata Dusk...Don't worry, we'll meet in due time...~"
Once home, Adagio slowly floated up the stairs. She was exhausted and needed a hot bath to ease the pain in her aching body. Aria zipped up to her room to catch up on a little siesta, and Sonata relaxed on the couch listening to the quiet ticking of the clock. Then, a soft, honey-like voice rang out.
"Sonata... "
Sonata sat up and looked around.
"Hello?" she called.
The voice sang again.
"Over here, Sonata...~"
Sonata looked toward the front door and saw a man standing there. He was wearing a red suit with a black tie and black dress shoes. His shining green eyes stared straight into Sonata's. He didn't say a word, but simply stared at her.
"Who are you...?" Sonata managed to whisper.
"Oh, you don't need to worry about that, my dear..." the man spoke, stepping closer. "It's so nice to be able to finally meet you in person...~ "
Sonata found herself unable to move, and unable to look away from the man's glowing green eyes. The man sat beside Sonata and gently cupped her chin in his hand.
"Has anyone ever told you how pretty you are...? "
"Me, pretty?" Sonata asked shyly.
"But, of course...~ " the man replied, running his hands through Sonata's hair.
He pulled off the ribbon that kept her ponytail up and lets her hair fall over her shoulders. The man wrapped one arm around Sonata's waist and pulled her close, to where she was sitting on his lap.
"Hmm...you're even prettier up close...~ " the man mused as he pulled Sonata's face closer to his.
Sonata giggled slightly, in an almost drunken manner.
"You remind me of...those sparkly vampires in the books Adagio reads..." she slurred.
"Oh, believe me, I am so much better than them...~ " the man purred slightly.
"Will you show me...?" Sonata whispered.
The man only chuckled in response before leaning closer to the bare flesh of Sonata's neck. He gently laid his lips upon it, causing Sonata to shudder slightly. She was visualizing herself in one of those vampire books that she found under Adagio's bed.
"That tickles...~" she cooed.
"Shhh...~ " the man shushed her, placing a finger on her lips. "Rest now... "
Sonata's eyes slowly drifted closed and the man set her back on the couch. He stood over her with a toothy grin.
"You shall see the full extent of my power in due time. Sleep well, my princess...~ "
Sonata groggily awoke to the sound of distant screams. Her vision was still blurry, but she could make out a red atmosphere. She saw Adagio and Aria flying in every direction, almost as if they were trying to avoid something. They both looked toward Sonata as if they were yelling at her. Sonata could see the bruises and scars on their bodies. She wanted to help, but she suddenly heard a distorted laugh, that sounded somewhat demonic.
"You will never defeat me!! You wouldn't dream of hurting your little sister would you..?~ "
Sonata felt her arm raise into the air against her will and in a flash, a red-hot beam struck both Adagio and Aria. Both girls screamed in agony before falling to the darkened ground below. Sonata could only watch in horror as her sisters lay motionless. The demonic voice spoke again.
"Excellent work, Sonata...but I'm afraid that you're job is done... "
Before Sonata could register what was going on, she felt herself falling. Just as she hit the ground, the world went black.
"Miss Dusk...?"
Sonata awoke once more to the sound of steady monotone beeping. The air was chilled and her body ached, especially her head.
"Miss Dusk, can you hear me?" called a masculine voice.
Sonata looked up and saw a man in a white coat standing over her.
"Miss Dusk, do you know where you are right now?" the man asked.
Sonata looked around and saw that she was in a white room. She looked out of a lone window and saw that it was dark outside. It was obviously nighttime.
"Am I in the loony bin?" Sonata asked.
"Close, but this is an ordinary hospital," the man chuckled. "I'm Doctor Stable, and I assume that you're a little confused at the moment."
"Very," Sonata replied.
Then, a thought crossed her jumbled mind, and she quickly sat up.
"Adagio, Aria! Are they alright?!" she exclaimed.
"Don't worry, your sisters are fine," said Dr. Stable.
"Oh, good, 'cause we gotta go back and fight that demon guy before he takes over the world!" Sonata said, attempting to leap out of the bed.
"I was just getting to that," Dr. Stable said, sitting Sonata back down. "It would appear that you and your sisters were hallucinating everything about your 'super powers'."
"Halluci-wha...?" Sonata asked.
"It was all in your imagination," Dr. Stable sighed.
"What?!" Sonata screamed. "B-but, what about Mojo Jojo, a-and our powers, and the demon guy?!"
"All in your head," Dr. Stable replied tersely. "It was lucky that Janitor Q from Canterlot High School found you three and brought you in before you got yourselves hurt, or worse."
Sonata sighed and brought her hands to her face, before reeling back in pain.
"What's wrong with my eye?" she asked.
"Um...you tried to attack a girl helping an elderly woman with her purse," Dr. Stable replied. "Now, do you recall what happened before all of this started?"
"Well, it all started when I got some tacos from the Taco Hut. Then Mojo gave me this really weird looking taco sauce. That's what gave us our powers!" Sonata said.
"I see," Dr. Stable replied. "That must have been the reason we found high traces of psilocybin mushrooms and LSD in your blood."
Sonata's eyes went wide at this, and tears began to form.
"Am I gonna be in trouble?" she asked meekly.
"You don't need to worry about that," Dr. Sable reassured her. "We've worked everything out with the police and no charges will be pressed against you or your sisters. The man who gave you that 'taco sauce' is right where he belongs."
"Phew, that's a relief," Sonata sighed. "For a second there I thought I was--"
Just then, the door to Sonata's room slammed open revealing Adagio and Aria, both obviously enraged.
"Oh, fish sticks..." Sonata gasped.
"SONATA, YOU ARE SO DEAD!!!!" Adagio screamed and lunged at Sonata.
Sonata leaped up from the bed and ran toward the open window. Adagio and Aria chased her and all three girls leaped out, forgetting that they couldn't fly. Dr. Stable ran to the window and looked down, seeing the Dazzlings hanging onto each other for dear life while Sonata held onto the window ledge.
"Redheart," Stable called. "Get the fire department on the phone."
"Sonata..." Aria growled. "I've said this once, and I'll say it again. YOU'RE THE WORST!!!! "
