Lost: The End Nears
It Won't End Yet...
Previous ChapterMy eyes slowly opened. My chest was soaking wet. Looking around the room, I found myself hooked up to some kind of heart monitor, in a hospital bed, with Lyra sobbing in my chest. I looked over to my left arm. It was covered in bandages and hooked up to a machine of some sort.
I started to stroke her mane. She slowly looked up. "Hey, Lyra." I said with a smile.
She didn't respond. Instead, she threw her hooves around me and started crying hard, squeezing the air out of me.
"L-Lyra.....c-an't.......breathe..." She let go of me and stared straight into my eyes. "Hey...shh...don't cry." I started stroking her mane. "I'm alright, see? Hey, Lyra?"
"Yeah?"
"How long have I been out?"
she rubbed her left eye with her hoof. "About a-sniff week. You almost sniff died by the time th-sniff-the time Luna had gotten he-sniff-here."
So it was Luna that lifted me into the air. "So, what's the news about Sombra?"
"Celestia and sniff Cadence almost got h-sniff-him but he escaped. Th-sniff-They rescued us afterwards. H-he had us held in a pr-prison of some sniff sort in a c-c-cave. It w-was j-just....sniff...just horrifii-iiiic!" She threw herself back into the embrace, tears pouring down from her eyes.
I just stroked her mane. He was still out there. He would be back. I had no powers. I was just a normal human being now. The elements couldn't defeat him alone. He's too strong. I've heard the story of how he was first defeated. He wouldn't make a stupid mistake like that again.
"Wait, where's Fang? Is Fang alright?"
"He's fine."
I looked up. Princess Luna was there with Fang beside her. He jumped onto me and started licking my face. When I managed to get him to calm down, he curled up and laid down on my left arm, but I could feel nothing. It felt weird, not being able to feel Fang curled up on my left arm anymore.
"Thanks Princess Luna."
"Just call me Luna." She replied, smiling.
"Thanks, Luna. If you hadn't came, I wouldn't be here right now. Thank you so much."
"Your very welcome, Roe. I have got to go now. I'll see you sometime later. Goodbye."
"Goodbye, Luna."
She left the room as the doctor came in the room. He said that I wouldn't have any feeling in my left arm for a few months, since they had to do a lot of surgery to get my arm to be able to heal on its own. They even had to use some of Lyra's research on humans to do surgery on my arm without completely rendering it useless. I'd have to stay in the hospital until my arm started to get some feeling into it. Until, then, I'm stuck in a hospital bed with a soaking wet chest.
I have to stay in a hospital be for 3 months. You have got to be fucking kidding me!!! FUCK!!!
