Return of King Sombra

Remember when Spike saved the Crystal Empire with the Crystal heart and Sombra was defeated? Well, he wasn't completely defeated. A piece of him has implanted itself in Twilight's mind, and he is using her to rise once again. Fortunately for the dark king, Twilight's friends have no idea what is happening, but there has been some close calls where Sombra was almost found out. Shining Armor has no idea either, but he, Cadence, and Flash Sentry are concerned about Twilight's well being. The more Sombra grows stronger, the weaker Twilight gets.

Sombra is controlling Twilight from within, causing her to do things she wouldn't even dream of! When Flash finds out, Sombra leaves her mind and reforms to his solid form. The 2 face off, unaware that Twilight's corruption has already finished. When Sombra realizes this, he takes the opportunity to distract Flash and escape with Twilight. The Dark King succeeds in corrupting Twilight, and the others are shocked, shock that the sixth element of harmony has been corrupted by darkness.

Shining Armor feels sorrow for Twilight and the girls, for not only had they lost a friend to the dark side, they had also lost an important key to the elements, and a sister. Twilight goes through training in the dark arts and Sombra is back in power once more, but Flash Sentry won't give up that easily. He discovers his true powers and ultimately defeats Sombra, making sure no trace of him is left behind so he can't posess anypony ever again.

Now, let us begin our story, starting in Twilight's castle, in her nightmares.........
