Chapter 2: I Can Walk Again

The next morning i awoke with a yawn and i continued to read my newest book. I read for about ten minutes before Twilight came in with my breakfast as usual. She set it down in front of me.

"How long are you going to keep this up, Sparkle?" I asked and began eating the food.

"Until you understand that i hold nothing against you and that i wanna help you." She said to me. I thought it over, then sighed and looked at her.

"Alright twilight... You win....." I said and sighed. "I accept your help, so long as you will give it... I just hope I'm not a bother..." I said and continued eating.

"Its no trouble Nightmare. Im glad to help." She said and walked out as i ate. I finished the food in about five minutes and set the tray on the side table next to me and continued my reading. A few minutes later Twilight came up to get the tray but as she opened the door i handed it to her with my magic. "Thank you Nightmare." She said with a smile.

"Your welcome..." I replied without looking up at her, and continued reading. She walked back downstairs as i read and came back up a few minutes later and sat in the chair at the desk next to my bed.

"Alright, do you think you can try walking again?" She asked as i bookmarked my spot in the book.

"I can try, yes." I said and pulled my legs over the side of my bed. "Alright, lets try this again." I said and inhaled as i stood up. I felt much less pain than i did last time i tried this and just stood there for a moment. I took a few steps and walked around the room a few times.

"Well, your leg injuries have apparently healed almost completely. I wouldn't work them to hard though, they're still fragile. Try and use them every so often so you can get their strength back alright?" Twilight asked as she stood up and opened the door.

"If you say so..." I said as she walked out and down the stairs. I sighed and walked outside my room and looked around. I had seen the inside of her house before, but that was only the main room. The rest of it seemed so much different. For one, it was a lot smaller and filled with books. And second, it looked nothing like the main room. I looked all around me as i walked downstairs.

"Hey i see your walking again!" Spike said from the top of a ladder as he organized some books.

"Yes, Twilight says that my leg injuries have healed almost completely. I suppose I'm lucky i can walk at all... Being stuck in that bed was excruciatingly boring. Other than the books i had to read i couldn't do anything at all." I said and sat down on the couch across from where Spike was. I sighed as Twilight walked into the room.

"Oh, hey Nightmare. What are you doing down here?" She asked me.

"I decided i wanted to get out of that room for a little while. I've been in there for two days now and all i had to do was read." I said.

"Well, personally i love reading so i would have loved being in there like that. But even i know reading can get boring sometimes." Twilight said as she came over and sat down next to me.

"So what will happen when im fully recovered?" I asked her and she looked at me.

"What do you mean?" Twilight asked me.

"I mean, you said i could stay here until i was all better... Where will i go after that?" I asked and she thought about it.

"I... I really have no idea...." She said and sighed.

"Its alright Twilight... Its not your fault." I said.

"I know.... I just wish there was some way i was able to help you more. I can't let Celestia know your here. At least, not yet anyway. Im not sure how she'd react if i just went up and told her 'Hi princess, Nightmare Moon is living in my house' out of nowhere." Twilight said and i giggled slightly.

"Well, i suppose that would be a bit disturbing to hear out of nowhere..." I said and we both laughed for a moment.

"Well, how about you stay here?" She asked me and i was shocked.

"E-Excuse me?...." I said and she smiled.

"I said you can stay here with me... It's not a bother, really. You can stay here as one as you like, Night." She said and i smiled weakly.

"Thank you, Twilight... If i didn't know any better i'd say you were the element of kindness..." I said and we both laughed.

"Your welcome Nightmare." She said and walked over to her desk and began working on something. I smiled to myself and walked over to one of the shelves and pulled out a book to read. I sat down on the couch and read for a little while until there was a knock at the door. I quickly stood up with the book and walked upstairs and into my room as i heard Twilight open the door.

"Delivery for Twilight Sparkle." A mares voice said.

"Thank you Derpy." Twilight said as she flew off. She shut the door as i walked back downstairs and sat down again.

"Who was that?" I asked and picked up my book.

"Just the local mailmare, Derpy." Twilight said and sat down at her desk.

"What's in the package?" Spike asked as he slid down off the ladder.

"Probably the ink wells and quills i ordered." Twilight said and nodded as she opened the box. "Yup." She said and giggled as she laid out the supplies on her desk and continued working on something. I kept reading my book as Spike went to organize or clean something else. After about forty five minutes of doing our own thing, Spike walked into the room and climbed up the ladder again, only to fall right back off as he burped up a cloud of greenish smoke. He fell to the ground with a thud as the smoke turned into a letter on the ground next to him.

"Hey, Are you okay Spike?" I asked and my horn glowed and helped him up.

"Yeah, yeah im fine. Just a bump on the head, thats all. What's it say?" He asked as Twilight opened the letter and read it to herself.

"Princess Celestia says she's coming by for a visit!" Twilight exclaimed happily before looking at me with terror in her eyes. "Uh oh....." She said and frantically looked around the room for something.

"What are you so worried about Twilight?" Spike asked.

"Im worried about Celestia finding her!" Twilight said and pointed at me. Spike looked and me and realized what she meant.

"Ooh, that....." He said and i giggled.

"Whats funny?" Twilight asked.

"Twilight, you do know alicorns can shapeshift right?" I asked her with a knowing smile.

"Uh, no. No i didn't know that." She said as i glowed slightly and shortened in height. My mane and tail became medium sized, kind of like Twilight's but with a different style. It also changed color to a sky blue color. My coat became a reddish blue, My eye's changed to a sapphire color and turned normal while my horn disappeared and my wings became somewhat smaller.

"Well, what do you think? Say hello to Moon Gazer." I said and spun around.

"Wow, thats incredible!" Twilight said and i smiled. Even my voice was different.

"Thank you Twilight. If i know anything about Celestia this disguise will surely fool her. Just say im one of your friends relatives from...... Manehatten, Or something like that. Rarity should be the perfect one to fake a relationship with." I said and Twilight tapped her chin.

"Hmm...... Seems legit to me." She said and smiled as we sat down on the couch. A few minutes later there was a knock at the door and when Twilight opened it Celestia and two guards were standing there. Twilight smiled and let the princess in while the guards remained outside.

"Twilight, my faithful student. Its so good to see you again!" Celestia said and hugged Twilight.

"Its good to see you again too princess. How have you been these last few days?" Twilight asked and sat down at her desk.

"I've been alright. Recovering from the summer sun celebration has not been easy when everyone is stricken with fear, but alright no less." Celestia said and looked at me. I smiled and waved at her. "Twilight, who's your friend?" Celestia asked with a smile.

"This is my friend Rarity's cousin, Moon Gazer. She came by to visit and make some friends, all the way from Manehatten." Twilight said as i thought inwardly to myself.

"Well im glad to meet another one of Twilight's friends. How are you?" She asked and held out a hoof.

"I am well, the fresh air out here is doing wonders for me." I said and shook her hand. "Living in the city all the time isn't really the best thing for a lady after all." I said and Celestia giggled.

"Yes, i know how that goes. Especially when you have to run all of the cities at once." She said.

"Oh my, i couldn't possibly imagine doing what it is you do princess." I said and shook my head slightly.

"Yes, it can be a bit difficult, but as long as im there to deal with everything properly its much easier than it lets on. Especially with my sister home now and helping with the tasks a bit." Celestia said.

"Oh, by the way, how is Luna? We haven't seen her since the day after the summer sun celebration." Twilight said.

"Oh she's busy adjusting to modern life. Learning the language, studying the history, learning everything she can about modern day life really." Celestia said.

"Well, its good to see that she's alright." I said and Celestia smiled.

"Thank you miss Gazer." She said and we went on talking between me, Twilight and Celestia for about forty five minutes or so. After that a guard opened the door and poked his head in.

"Uuh, princess, i think its time for us to go now." He said and she nodded.

"Thank you sir. Well Twilight, i shall speak with you again soon. A pleasure meeting you miss Gazer." Celestia said and stood up to leave. When the door closed and the chariot Celestia rode in had left i changed back to my normal form and laughed.

"I can't believe that actually worked." I said as Twilight laughed slightly and sat next to me.

"I dont feel right lying to my teacher but i dont feel right letting them get rid of you either." Twilight said and i smiled.

"Thank you Twilight..." I said and she smiled at me.

"Its the least i could do." She said and went back over to her desk. I sat and read for a few minutes until Spike went upstairs to clean. Now's my chance. I looked up from my book and looked over at her.

"Twilight?" I said.

"Yes Nightmare?" She said and looked up at me.

"What do you think of me?" I asked her.

"What do you mean?" She asked and i sighed.

"Nevermind..." I said and continued reading.

"Well... If you say so." She said. Things went on as they normally would for the remainder of a day. I read book after book after book, every time i finished one, i read a new one.

After about an hour of this I put the book back for another one and continued my reading streak. "Wow, your a fast reader." Twilight said and i looked over at her.

"Oh, thank you. It was all i was able to do before i was sent to the moon." I said and sighed.

"Its alright Nightmare. You dont have to talk about that if you dont want too." She said and i smiled.

"Thank you Twilight." I said and smiled at her before we each continued doing what we were doing. I continued reading for a few hours more and then when i was done i put the book back on the shelf and realized it was getting late. "Well, im going to bed for the night Twilight." I said and began walking upstairs.

"Good night." She said.

"Good night Twilight." I said and walked up and into my room. I walked past Spike, who waved to me and smiled as i walked up the stairs, and then entered my room and climbed in bed. I sighed to myself and closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

The next morning i awoke to the sound of talking downstairs. I rubbed my eyes and my hearing was still a little fuzzy. I sat up and listened carefully.

"So what are you doing here so early?" Twilight asked.

"I just wanted to come by and see you of course!" A soft voice said and i smiled as i realized it was Fluttershy. I got up and walked down the stairs.

"Good morning Twilight." I said and rubbed my eyes again. I heard a gasp and became confused. But when i opened my eyes, i too gasped at the sight. "P-P-Princess Celestia?!" I half shouted as she stared at me with her jaw dropped. We just stared at each other for a few moments before Celestia stood up, anger on her face.

"Twilight, where did she come from?" Celestia asked angrily.

"T-Twilight, why is she here..?" I asked and stared into Celestia's eyes with a slight fear. Celestia growled and approached me slightly but Twilight jumped in front of me.

"No!" She shouted and Celestia stepped back.

"Twilight, what are you doing?! Dont you see who that is?!" Celestia asked.

"Yes i see who it is! And thats just it! She's Nightmare Moon!" She shouted.

"Then move, Twilight!" Celestia asked.

"No, i wont let you hurt her!" Twilight shouted and growled. Celestia stepped back once before using her magic to try and move Twilight. "I. Said. NO!" Twilight screamed and broke Celestia's magic control with her own as her hair flew into the air and burst into flame. "IM NOT GOING TO LET YOU HURT NIGHTMARE! I DONT CARE WHO YOU ARE, YOUR NOT HURTING THE MARE I LOVE!" Twilight screamed in rage at her teacher and all fell silent, save for the burn of her hair. Celestia stepped back in horror as she looked at her student.

"W-What did you s-say?" Celestia asked as Twilight calmed down.

"W-What?...." I whispered to myself as Twilight looked at Celestia.

"I said, your not going to do anything to the woman i love. You may be the princess, but i will still fight you. I dont care what happens, your not taking her away from me." Twilight growled, the same angry expression plastered to her face.

"Twilight, what has she done to you....?" Celestia asked.

"She hasn't done anything to me! The elements of harmony purified her, i fell in love with Her! Can't you see that!? Look at her, shes TERRIFIED of you!" Twilight said and Celestia looked into my eyes. They were filled with terror, i could feel it. She looked at me and then back at Twilight.

"But.... are you sure, Twilight?.. Answer me that..." Celestia asked and sat down.

"I am, princess... I could feel it when i healed her." Twilight said and confused Celestia.

"Why did you heal her?" Celestia asked.

"Because i found her dying from her injuries after we used the elements on her after the summer sun celebration..... Cant you just trust me?" Twilight asked.

"Twilight, of course i trust you... I will always trust you." Celestia said.

"Then why did you ask what she did to me?" Twilight asked as i took a seat in a chair.

"Because, i thought that Nightmare was the same as before and did something to your head. Im sorry i jumped to conclusions Twilight, can you forgive me?" Celestia asked.

"Of course i can princess. Just try and learn whats going on before you assume something." Twilight said and smiled.

"I'll try and keep that in mind Twilight." Celestia said with a smiled as she stood up. "As for you miss Moon, take good care of Twilight for me will you?" She asked and giggled as she walked outside. She flew up into the air and then vanished using a teleportation spell. Twilight shut the door and came back over to the couch and sat down.

"Did you really mean it?...." I asked her.

"Mean what?" She asked.

"What you said to her. About not letting anything happen to me." I said and she smiled.

"Of course i did. I would never let anyone hurt you. No matter who they are, i would never let it happen..... I-I love you, Nightmare..." She said and kissed my cheek before walking over to her desk and sitting down with a bright blush. I blushed as well and sat there. It took me a little while to register what had just happened. After that, my blush faded out as i smiled, a genuine smile, and picked up my book and resumed reading. After a while, i frowned and set the book down after a while. "Whats wrong?" She asked me.

"Im just bored. I want to go outside, go somewhere, do something other than sit here all day." I said.

"Hmm... I suppose we could go out somewhere. Its not good to stay inside all the time after all." She said and stood up with me.

"Your one to talk." I said and she laughed.

"I was Celestia's student. I was stuck inside all my life. Come on, lets go hang out with some of my friends." Twilight said as she stood up. I used my magic and created a black cloak over my body as we walked outside. "Whats that for?" She asked me as we walked.

"Because the ponies of this town dont like me very much." I said and she nodded.

"I understand. Here, lets go over to Rarity's first." Twilight said and i nodded as we walked down the street. A few ponies looked at me but didn't notice anything out of the ordinary so they kept walking.

"They dont seem to realize who i am yet. Lets hope it stays that way, for now." I said as we approached Rarity's house. Twilight knocked on the door and Rarity opened it.

"Why hello Twilight! What can i do for you today?" Rarity asked as we walked in. I took a seat on her couch as Twilight talked to her.

"Hey Rarity, i just came by to hang out for a little while. And maybe get something for my friend here." Twilight said and looked over at me. I was looking out the window at the time when Rarity looked at me.

"And who might this be?" Rarity asked and i looked at her from the shadow of my hood.

"I believe we've already met before miss Rarity." I said and pulled my hood back. Rarity gasped and stepped back once before looking at me.

"T-T-Twilight?" Rarity stuttered.

"Nightmare, you remember Rarity right?" She asked and i nodded. "Alright then. Rarity, this is my..." Twilight started, but came to a stop.

"Im her marefriend. It's a pleasure to meet you on a better occasion than the last, miss Rarity." I said and smiled a bit. Twilight blushed faintly and nodded*

"M-M-Marefriend?" Rarity stuttered and looked at me and i nodded.

"Yes, she is. I hope that doesn't change anything." Twilight said and Rarity smiled weakly.

"O-Of course not! Now, what did you have in mind for her?" Rarity asked shakily and smiled.

"Im not sure, what do you have in mind Night?" Twilight asked me.

"I have no idea. Can i see what you can do?" I asked.

"Of course." Rarity said and got a few different large pieces of cloth and fabric and began working with a mannequin. After about a half hour she finished the dress and stepped aside for me to look at it.

"Wow..... This... This is amazing......." I said and circled it as i looked at it in awe.

"Well thank you, i didn't know you had a taste in fashion." Rarity said and smiled at me.

"Of course i do! I was part of princess Luna for a thousand years after all so i was technically a princess. I know good fashion when i see it, and i see it right now." I said and looked over the encrusted gems. "How did you do this?" I asked and held up one of the gem encrusted areas.

"Oh that? Thats easy. I've been doing that since i was a little filly. Its my special talent after all!" Rarity said and i smiled at her.

"Something like this will be fine. If you wouldn't mind, that is." I said and looked at her.

"Oh, of course! Here, let me get your measurements first." Rarity said and started measuring me out all over. Legs, wings, hooves. everything. It took about a half hour for her to get everything just right before she started on the dress. When she was done, it looked magnificent. On the crest it had a large turquoise gem encrusted into it. The dress itself was a sleek black for the  legs and a dark blue or grey for the rest. The lower area of the dress was a dark grey and the chest area was a dark blue color. I looked in awe at it.

"Wow......... This is magnificent!" I said as i examined it. It was utterly the definition of beautiful.

"Its beautiful." Twilight said and i hugged her.

"Not as beautiful as you." I said and kissed her cheek. She blushed and smiled at me.

"Thank you." She said as i looked back at Rarity.

"But yes, the dress is absolutely amazing Rarity." I said and she smiled.

"Well thank you. I do my best." She said and i chuckled.

"Well you do great work Rarity. Very good work indeed. Here, payment for your work." I said and pulled out a medium sized bag of money and paid her for the dress before using my magic to fold it perfectly and place it in my bag.

"Well thank you! I hope you enjoy the dress!" Rarity said as we walked outside.

"So, where are we going next?" I asked as we walked. I spoke low so no one could hear me.

"Hmm, how about we go see Fluttershy?" Twilight asked and i shrugged.

"I suppose we could go see her." I said as we walked. After about ten minutes of walking we reached the edge of town where she lived. Twilight knocked on the door and Fluttershy opened it slowly.

"Hello? Oh, hi Twilight. Who's your friend?" Fluttershy asked and looked at me as we walked inside.

"Fluttershy, you remember Nightmare from the other day right?" Twilight asked as my hood slid back and i smiled.

"O-Oh... Uuh, yes?" She stuttered.

"I just came to see if  i could have a pet of some sort. And to apologize for anything i did to you on the summer sun celebration." I said and her eyes grew wide as a smile spread across her face.

"You'd really want to adopt a pet?!" She said, louder than usual.

"Of course, i love animals." I said and she squealed and grabbed my foreleg before basically dragging me outside. She began showing me all different sorts of pets ranging from crows and bats to cats and dogs. She showed me a few more and then stopped.

"So, who do you want to be your pet?" She asked me and i looked them over. Then i spun around when i heard something screech and when i turned i saw an eagle land on a post behind me.

"That one." I said and pointed to the eagle. "I want that one." I said again as the eagle hopped down onto my hoof. I held him and looked at him for a minute or so before Fluttershy said anything.

"Im glad i could help you find a pet you like. You didn't seem like the kind of person to like animals." She said and i cringed slightly. I deserved that much, but it still hurt a bit.

"Well thank you for letting me have a pet Fluttershy. Now i see why your the element of kindness." I said and she smiled.

"Oh, thank you. Have a nice day." She said as we walked off. The eagle just sat on my back and looked around as we walked.

"Hey, nice eagle." A voice said from behind me. I turned and faced Rainbow Dash hovering in the air. "It makes you look cooler with the cloak. Who's your friend Twi?" She asked and landed. This cloak was working all too well.

"Nightmare you remember Rainbow right?" Twilight asked me.

"Yes of course." I said and pulled back my hood.

"Good. Dash, you already know my marefriend Nightmare." Twilight said and Dash's jaw dropped.

"Marefriend!?" She asked and i laughed.

"Yes, she and i are dating now." I said and hugged her. Dash's jaw remained dropped after that, causing Twilight and i to burst into laughter.

"Rainbow, you should see the look on your face right now!" Twilight said between laughs as Dash shook her head violently.

"Alright, did she just say you two are dating?" Dash asked Twilight as she calmed down.

"Y-Yes she did.... Wow that was funny." Twilight said.

"So your ACTUALLY dating?" Dash asked and Twilight sighed.

"Yes Dash, we are dating. Nightmare and i are dating. Yes im serious." Twilight said.

"Alright, alright calm down. I just didn't take you for someone like that. Thats all." Dash said.

"What do you mean by that?" Twilight asked.

"I just always thought you were into guys." Dash said.

"Well, i guess not." Twilight said and smiled.

"Well, im happy for you either way. see you later Twi." Dash said and flew off. Twilight chuckled as we continued down the road. I pulled my hood back up as we approached town and walked past a few ponies.

"So, what are you going to name the eagle?" Twilight asked me and i tapped my chin.

"Hmm, how about Hourus?" I asked and she nodded.

"I think it sounds cool." She said and smiled. We stopped by the library and i dropped off Hourus to let him take a nap and headed back out into town. We walked silently through town until we reached a medium sized building with a sign that read 'Sugarcube Corner' on it. We walked inside and immediately Pinkie Pie was greeting us.

"Hi Twilight!" She said happily as she bounced up and down.

"Hello Pinkie. How are you?" Twilight asked as we took a seat at a nearby table.

"Oh im great! Oh, who's your new friend?" Pinkie asked as i pulled my hood back. "Oh, hey Night-" She was cut off by Twilights hand covering her mouth.

"Don't say her actual name. Were trying to keep this between us alright?" Twilight whispered.

"Oooooh, okay." Pinkie said and smiled. "So, what are you two here for?" She asked us.

"We just came to tell you that were dating." I said and smiled at Twilight.

"Dating? What do you mean? Like setting up calenders or clocks or something?" Pinkie asked and Twilight sighed and looked at her. "Oooooh, THAT kind of dating." Pinkie said and smiled. "Congratulations you two!" She said.

"Thank you Pinkie." I said as she smiled brightly at us.

"So when are you gonna tell everyone about her?" Pinkie asked Twilight.

"I was kind of hoping to keep it between us six for the time being. I'll tell everyone eventually though. Besides, princess Celestia already knows about her and i." Twilight said and Pinkie nodded.

"Alrighty then!" Pinkie said as we stood up and i pulled my hood up.

"Thanks Pinkie, i knew i could trust you guys." Twilight said as we walked out. We walked down the street for a while until we reached the farm where Applejack lived. We walked down the path towards her house when we saw a little girl up ahead. "Hello Applebloom." Twilight said and the girl smiled and waved.

"Hey Twilight!" She replied happily as we walked by. When we reached the house, Twilight knocked on the door, which was later answered by Applejack.

"Well hey there Twi. What can i do ya for?" AJ asked as we walked in and sat down. "Who's your friend?" She asked.

"Applejack, you remember Nightmare from the other day right?" Twilight asked as i pulled back my hood.

"Oh, h-hey Nightmare." AJ said shakily.

"Good to see you again Applejack." I said and smiled genuinely.

"So, how can i help you Twi?" AJ asked her.

"I was just coming to tell you the news." Twilight said and AJ raised and eyebrow.

"News? What news?" She asked us.

"Twilight and i are dating now." I said and smiled as AJ's jaw dropped. I chuckled with a smile as she shook her head. "Yes, your not the first one to react that way." I said and, again, she raised an eyebrow.

"What do ya mean?" She asked.

"We've already told Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie about it." Twilight said. Applejack rubbed the back of her neck and smiled sheepishly.

"So uuh, your serious about this?" She asked and i nodded.

"Of course we are. Why wouldn't we be?" Twilight asked and AJ smiled.

"No reason, i was just askin' in case you were jokin'. That's all." She said.

"Well, yes we are serious about it. Thank you for understanding." Twilight said with a smile.

"No sweat sugarcube." AJ said as we stood and left. On our way off the farm a bright light appeared ahead of us, followed by princess Luna warping in front of us. "P-Princess Luna! What are you doing down here?" Twilight asked and bowed slightly as she walked forward.

"Our sister has spoken to us about thy little....... Friend." Luna said and Twilight gasped quietly.

"W-W-What are you talking about?" Twilight lied and smiled weakly. Luna frowned and looked at her.

"You cannot lie to us, Twilight Sparkle. We know all about her." Luna said and stood up. "Now, where is she?" She said and looked around. I stepped forward and looked down at her from beneath my hood. She was still a bit shorter than i was but not much shorter than Twilight. "Dost thou mind, miss?" Luna asked.

"Actually, i do mind a bit." I said and pulled back my hood and let my light-blue hair flow free. I opened my eyes and she stepped back a bit as she looked up at me. "Ooh, whats wrong Luna? Still scared of me after all this time?" I asked and kneeled down a little bit to look her in the eye.

"W-We're not scared of you." She lied and i giggled.

"You have no reason to be, Luna. I've changed." I said and sat down in the grass with her and Twilight.

"We wish we could believe that were true." Luna said.

"Then why don't you?" I asked her.

"Because, we can't believe anything about you anymore. Not after what you've done to my sister and i." She said and i sighed.

"Luna, i was created from your anger and your jealousy. I only did what your emotions wanted to do." I said and she cringed. "Im not as evil as some may think. I was only able to become part of reality because of you Luna." I said and she cringed again. "It wasn't me that did everything back then........ It was you." I said and she slowly began weeping into her hooves. I sighed and wrapped my forelegs around her to comfort her.

"I-I did all those h-horrible things to everybody...... T-T-tit...... I-I..... I-I hurt her too..." Luna said between weeps.

"Shh....... Its not all your fault...." I said and she looked up at me.

"Y-Yes it is...." She said and i wiped a tear from her face.

"No Luna, its not...... It was also Celestia's fault because she ignored you when you felt neglected and alone. That only fed your anger further. But none of that matters now, because it is in the past......." I said and ran my hand through her short, light blue hair. "Its okay......" I said and held her as she cried. Twilight watched with a smile as a tear came to her eye as well. Luna wrapped her hooves around me and cried for what seemed like forever as i held her and cried a tear of my own. When we separated she looked up at me and, with a sniffle, she smiled.

"T-Thank you......" She said and i smiled back at her.

"Its no trouble Luna. You technically are my mother after all." I said and smiled as we stood up.

"What do you mean?" Luna asked me.

"I mean, you created me, Luna. You technically are my mother because without you i couldn't exist." I said and smiled at her.

"Wow...... Me... a mother..... Wow....." Luna said. "Well, thank you... I should get home now, im sure Tia's worried." Luna said and waved as she teleported herself home. I smiled again as Twilight and i walked down the road.

"That was really nice." Twilight said.

"Hmm?" I said and looked over at her.

"What you did back there. It was nice. You acted like a mother to her when she was sad." She said and smiled at me. I returned it from beneath my hood as i spoke.

"Well, motherly instincts do come in handy." I said and she smiled as we approached her house. She opened the door and we both walked in and i shut it for her. "Today has been a good day, hasn't it Twilight?" I asked as i sat down.

"Yes, it really has." Twilight said with a yawn. We both looked out the window and yawned.

"I guess its getting late. We should get to bed." I said and stood up as she did the same. We both walked upstairs and she climbed into her bed as i opened my room door.

"Hey, where are you going?" She asked and i turned around.

"To bed?" I said.

"Why don't you sleep with me?" She asked and i smiled.

"I'd be glad to." I said and shut my door then climbed into bed with her. She kissed me once and we both drifted off to sleep.
