Chapter 3: My Reintroduction

The next day, i awoke to find myself alone in bed. I looked over and saw Spike wasn't in bed either so i stood up with a yawn. I got dressed and looked out the window. A few people were walking and talking outside. I smiled and walked downstairs and saw Twilight at her desk while Spike dusted some books off. Twilight was obviously focused on something because she hadn't noticed me at first.

"Good morning Twilight." I said and her head shot up with a smile.

"Oh, good morning. Did you sleep well?" She asked as i sat down and pulled a book out.

"Yes, very well. Especially since it was with you." I said and she blushed.

"Oh stop." She said and we both giggled as i opened the book and began reading.

"So Twilight, what are you working on?" I asked her.

"Just trying to figure out some old spell i found. Its in some..... Different language that im trying to translate but i cant quite get it all...." She said and squinted at it as i stood up.

"Here, let me try." I said and walked over to her and sat down next to her. She slid the book over to me and i looked at it as i read aloud to myself quietly. "Torpağa basdırılmış ki, ölü və palçıq qara ki ..... üçün Ölüm i geri gəlmək üçün əmr" I whispered to myself. "Hmm...... I can translate this for you." I said to her and her eyes lit up.

"Really? What does it say?" She asked and smiled.

"Well, i dont really think you want to use this spell either way....." I said and looked down at it.

"Why not?" She asked me.

"It reads, To the dead that's buried, and mud thats black..... From death i command you to come back." I said and her eyes shrank down.

"A-And what will that do?" She asked hesitantly.

"It will raise the dead and they'll start roaming the lands again. This whole book is just of dark spells and evil intent. Im not sure how Celestia missed it all those years ago....." I said and sighed.

"What are you talking about?" Twilight asked me.

"I wrote this book. This, and many others like it." I said and she looked down at it.

"And what happened to the rest?" She asked.

"Celestia had them locked up for their contents. But apparently she missed just one." I said and picked it up. "İndi bu kitab i yanğın çağırırıq, kül üçün kül, kül bu kitab çevirmək ...." I said and the book burst into flames before falling to the floor and disappearing all together. I turned back to Twilight and sat down.

"That was...... Interesting." Twilight said and smiled weakly.

"Dont worry Twilight. If you ever see another book with that writing, just leave it out with a note to me, alright?" I said and she nodded with a smile. "Good, and Twilight?" I said as i stood up.

"Yes Nightmare?" She asked.

"Dont be afraid to ask for help if you need it. I'll always be here for you." I said and she smiled as i sat on the couch. I opened my book and began reading for a while. The rest of the day went by quickly enough. Twilight did her thing while i did mine. A few of Twilight's friends came over and talked or left something for her and then left but it was just a normal, calm day. Then, when it got later into the day, the afternoon rolled in and the sun began going down. I loved the feel of the moonlight when it reached me from outside the window. I smiled and shut my eyes slowly as the moonlight hit me.

"Are you alright?" Twilight asked me and my eyes shot open and i blushed.

"Oh, sorry i forgot where i was." I said and smiled sheepishly.

"What were you doing?" She asked me.

"I was enjoying the moonlight." I said and continued reading. A few minutes later A dark light appeared in front of the window and i lowered the book to see what it was. The light grew until it flashed shut and princess Luna appeared. "Aah, hello Luna. Glad to see you again." I said and stood up and hugged her. Celestia appeared behind her and i smiled. "Oh, hello aunty Celestia!" I said and hugged her. I stepped back and smiled as Luna did the same.

"What does she mean, Aunt Celestia?" Celestia asked Luna.

"Oh right, i forgot to tell you. Technically im her mother because i created her." Luna said and Celestia nodded.

"Hmm, i suppose that makes sense." She said and looked at me.

"So, how can i help you two?" I asked and sat down.

"Well, Luna wanted to come visit and i wanted to come with her." Celestia said and smiled.

"Well it was nice of you two to drop by." Twilight said as they sat down.

"So, Nightmare, does anyone else know your here yet?" Celestia asked me.

"Yes, Twilights friends know about me and our relationship." I said and Luna raised an eyebrow.

"Relationship?" She asked.

"Oh, did i not tell you yesterday? Haha, im sorry. Twilight and i are dating." I said and kissed her as she walked over. Luna's jaw dropped as Twilight sat down next to me and i giggled. "You know, your not the first person to react that way mom." I said and laughed.

"So wait, your serious about this?" Luna asked.

"Yes, we are. We love each other no matter what." Twilight said and held my hand. "I couldn't be happier with anyone else if i tried to." She said and smiled at me. Had it been physically possible, my heart would have melted right when she said that.

"Ooh, thank you Twilight....." I said and kissed her again. We both smiled and looked back at the princess's.

"So to answer your question, yes, we are very serious about this." Twilight said and Luna smiled.

"Well im glad to see that your both happy." Luna said and looked at her sister.

"So Twilight, when do you plan on introducing her to the rest of the town?...... Speaking of which, how did you get her through town without anyone noticing her?" Celestia asked.

"Oh that was easy. She just wore a cloak the whole time we were out." Twilight said and i nodded. "And i was thinking about introducing her tomorrow in the early afternoon." Twilight said and looked up at me slightly.

"I think that would be best." I said and nodded. "So how are we going to do this?" I asked.

"I think we should just make an announcement tomorrow to the whole town. I think it would be best for it to be easiest that way." Celestia said. I nodded and looked at Luna.

"I think you two should be there as well. Your presence there would calm them to a state of...... Well, lets just say that having you there when i reintroduce myself because having you there would make them more calm. At least knowing thet the princess's trust me and everything." I said and they both nodded.

"I think your right Nightmare." Luna said.

"Please, just call me Night." I said and smiled.

"Alright Night. But yes, i think your right about us being there. We will be at the announcement to comfort them tomorrow. When are you going to make it?" Celestia asked.

"Hmm, how about we hang fliers around town telling everyone to go to the town square around eleven o' clock?" Twilight asked.

"That sounds fine. We'll be there." Celestia and Luna said as they stood to leave. They waved as they flew off into the night and disappeared.

"So, are you sure about this Night?" Twilight asked me.

"Very. I've never been more sure about anything before....... Besides loving you, that is." I said and she blushed.

"Thank you Night." She said and kissed me before we both stood up. "I think we should get some rest. It is getting late after all, and we have a lot of ponies to win over tomorrow." She said as we walked upstairs.

"That sounds great right about now." I said and yawned as we climbed into bed. "Good night Twilight." I said as she laid down.

"Good night, Night." She said as i turned off the lamp and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, I awoke and saw Twilight still sleeping and smiled. I got up out of bed and went downstairs. I looked at the clock and saw it was still relatively early, around six o' clock, so i started on breakfast. I made some pancakes for myself and Twilight and sat down. I lifted up my first bite as Twilight walked into the room and i smiled.

"Good morning Twilight. Did you sleep well?" I asked as she sat down and smiled.

"Yes i did Night. Thank you very much." She said as we began to eat. When we finished eating, i washed the dishes off and set them next to the counter. We smiled as i put on my cloak and walked outside together. We walked around town and hung up fliers all over the place and kept moving as ponies began to wake up and come outside. After about four hours of this we had the whole town aware of the announcement. They did not know what it would be about but everyone was talking about it. As we walked down the street we heard several stallions and mares alike all talking about it.

"I think we got their attention." I said as we walked into the town square. Twilight's friends were all standing together talking when we walked over. "Hello everyone, glad you could all make it." I said from beneath my hood.

"Glad to see your finally telling everyone you two." Rarity said and smiled.

"Well, we should probably get up on stage then. Dont want to keep them all waiting too long." I said as Twilight and i walked onto the stage. A few moments later Celestia and Luna appeared next to us and everyone went silent and looked up at us. Celestia stepped forward and spoke into the microphone.

"Ladies and gentlemen. It is my honor to speak to you again. We are gathered here today to allow me and my sister to introduce someone very special to us." Celestia said and i stepped forward.

"Hello everyone. I am happy to be able to speak to you all once more. You may have seen me walk through the streets, our around your town for the past few days and i am here to explain why." I said and slowly pulled back my hood as they all gasped. "I have returned to you all. Nightmare Moon has come home." I said and smiled at them all. That smile was short lived though, as they all became angry and slowly began approaching the stage.

"You! You've been harboring her!" Someone shouted at Twilight and my eyes glowed white. They climbed onto the stage and closer to us as my anger hit its peak.

"Everyone please!" Celestia said but they did not hear her.

"Remain where you are!" Luna shouted but they kept coming.

"BE..... STILL!!!!!!!!!!" I howled and knocked back the ponies on the stage, causing all to fall silent. As the echo of my voice ceased, i looked down at the terrified mares and stallions before me. "I thought this was going to be easy..... But i guess, again, that i was wrong. Why is it that even when i find love somewhere no one can accept me for who i am? Why?" I asked them and they all looked between one another. A few people stepped forward and hesitantly bowed, causing me to become even angrier. "No! I dont want you to worship me! I dont want you to fear or hate me! I just want you to LIKE me! Is that really too much to ask?" I shouted and they all looked at each other again.

"Nightmare....." Twilight began and i looked at her with a sigh.

"Im sorry for what i did to you all in the past, if anything at all. I am sorry to you two especially though." I said and looked at Celestia and Luna. "I am sorry for everything i did when i was in control of Luna's body. Im sorry for hurting you Celestia. Im sorry to all of you, for everything i've done..... I dont know if you can forgive me, or if you even should..... But please, if your going to be mad at someone, let it be me." I said and looked down. My eyes shot up as people slowly started clapping faster and faster for me. The crowd broke out into cheers and applauds after a moment as i looked at them with shock and disbelief.

"See? I told you they would listen." Luna said to me and i smiled with a tear in my eye.

"Thank you, all of you... I don't know how you could forgive me, but i dont care. Thank you all for your kindness." I said to them and smiled genuinely. Twilight came and put a hand on my shoulder as we looked at each other. I kissed Twilight for a moment and we both waved at the crowd and walked off the stage with Celestia and Luna. The crowd began to dispurse as Twilight's friends began walking towards us.

"Hey guys." Dash said as they all smiled.

"I guess y'all were serious after all." Applejack said and chuckled.

"My word Twilight, i never expected you to actually be serious about this whole thing." Rarity said.

"Alright, why are you guys saying this?" Twilight asked them.

"We thought y'all were tryin' to prank us with your relationship with her." Applejack said and Twilight growled, but calmed down as i stepped forward.

"We were not joking, nor will we ever be. I love her and she loves me. We are happy with each other and nothing will change that." I said calmly but sternly as they all smiled.

"Well, were happy for you no matter what." Dash said and they all nodded.

"As are we." I heard Celestia say behind me and looked to see her and Luna, smiling. "You both have our full support. For now and always." They said in unison.

"Thank you... Both of you..." I said and hugged them.

"No, thank you Night, for everything you've done..." Celestia said and smiled, then looked at Twilight. "And i think you've got a letter to write, do you not?" She said and giggled.

"Oh my gosh! I'd almost forgotten!" Twilight said as i stood next to her.

"Ready to go home my love?" I asked her and smiled.

"Yes, my love. I am." Twilight sand and kissed me passionately as my horn glows a dark blue and i teleported us both home.
