Magnum Crescent; The Eclipse of Equestria

Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together, and created harmony for all the land. These two sisters had a fight, which was resolved after 1000 years. The younger sister, Luna, would raise the moon at night. The older sister, Celestia would raise the sun at dawn. Upon the darkest of night, and the brightest of day another Mare had to be called in for assistance.
This mare was not an ordinary mare, by any means. The location of her home was hidden, and she had both wings and a unicorn horn. Was she a princess? Was she maybe a queen of a far-off land? Many had wondered. She knew the answer, but kept to herself. Very few knew the answer.
Celestia, and Luna both know. The relation between these three is often looked past by everypony, and often ponies don't seem to even notice Crescent's clouded coat, and mangy mane.
As everypony knows, Celestia raises the sun. Such an amazing feat of magic is something ponies could only dream of doing.
Luna raises the moon. This incredible feat is similar to that of the sun.
Magnum Crescent however shrouds the two in the memorization that is an eclipse. Luna's powerful magic had repelled that of Celestia's and thus they needed help. Magnum Crescent's powerful magic can surpass that of anypony when she is in the presence of these two at the same time. With work, she can master this magic to attain control over such strength at all times.
To prevent this Celestia has binded her magic with bracers. These bracers hold the spirit of the changeling inside of them, suppressing any magic that goes beyond that of a normal level. The changeling bracers work through their changing power, this absorbs nearby expended magic. The magic is stopped at a certain level because enough is expended that the changelings in the bracers can leach it from the air itself.
Magnum Crescent is very young, compared to Celestia. Her age has not, nor will it be confirmed but she was founded as an orphan by Celestia. Her poor state she was founded in she wasn't identified as a pegasi or a unicorn. But rather a muddy mess.
Celestia had tried hard to hide her from everypony, but she had become curious, and like a princess locked in a tower she sought freedom.
After being discovered by the public, her magic started to grow. Out of emotion. Uncontrollably she had gotten into a magic frenzy in which she had harmed Celestia. Being unable to cope with what had happened she fled from Canterlot.
As to where she lives now, very few know. Celestia can call upon her for assistance, but she never stays long. The levels of trust between Magnum and Celestia can only be guessed at. Mystery shrouds Crescent's current living conditions, and even where these conditions are questioned. She seems to appear when called upon for certain things. When the sun and the moon stray too close to one another, She can be expected, and depended on to use her powerful magic to fix any and all problems occurring.
Her power is bound by the bracers, but her spirit is bursting with confidence to one day escape from the shroud of darkness that binds her spirit to her body. She wishes to escape, so that she may become friends with whom she pleases for the right reasons, and escape the dark past of what she had done to not only the city of Canterlot, but Celestia herself.
