______*the next day Rainbow Dash's cloud house...the living room 4:51 PM*_______

Surprise was sitting on the couch....she had read every book in the house.....that she could read.....she was alone once again for Rainbow and Storm were at work and Scootaloo was in school.....she sighed as she stood up.

Once again the house was quiet so she decided to explore a little bit.

Surprise walked up the stairs and noticed that Storm's door was open.

Curious she walked into Storm's room and closed the door.

Inside the room Surprise immediately noticed that there was a strange circle in front of Storm's bed.....she also noticed three pictures on the wall.

Surprise walked up to them and looked at them......she recognized Storm in one of the pictures where he was there along with six others.....but she noticed Storm's goggles in the picture and that one other had similar ones....although she recognized them as the Ritual team from the book.

She looked at the other picture and her eyes widened.....in this picture Storm looked much more normal and was standing next to Sift....and a foal?

Surprise now knew why Storm had told her and Scootaloo to take it slow.....she looked at the last picture and smiled.

This picture was a recent one.....Dash was in the middle with Scootaloo on her head and Surprise was standing next to her while Storm stood a foot away from them and had that same emotionless stare.

Surprise turned around and walked over to a nearby box....she opened it and saw the exact same goggles from the picture.....she also saw a pair of purple shades....she closed the box.

As soon as she closed the box she heard somepony clearing their throat behind her....she gulped and turned around to reveal Storm leaning at the door.....and he was grinning?

"So....you going to tell me why your in my room?" He asked.

Surprise laughed nervously as she rubbed the back of her head.

"Uh....the door was open?" She replied nervously.

Storm chuckled and entered the room then closed the door.....he then walked over to the pictures.

Surprise noticed that he was staring intently at the picture with the foal....she walked over to him.

"Who are they?" She asked even though she knew the answer.

Storm looked at her. "If I tell you that you have to tell me something." He replied.

Surprise closed her eyes to think.....after a few moments she opened her eyes.

"Deal." She finally said.

Storm looked back at the picture and smiled.

"They are my family.....the foal is my daughter Spark....and she is my wife Sift." He said blankly.

Surprise's eyes widened but she was now even more curious.

"How come you aren't with them?" She asked.

Storm smiled. "Because if I was with them I would be buried next to Sift and my daughter would be alone......at least this way she has family.....but me......I might as well be dead......im supposed to be dead anyway." He replied.

Surprise was confused and concerned. "Why is that?" She asked.

Storm looked at her. "You see I had an implant a while ago and It was killing me but I didn't care......but now I am glad that I had it removed." He replied.

Surprise was left with more questions then answers but chose not to prod.

Storm walked over to his bed and sat in the middle of the strange circle.

"You have one last question.....use it wisely." He warned.

Surprise walked over to him but did not step into the circle.

"What's up with those shades?" She asked.

Storm chuckled. "They used to belong to my mom.....the only unicorn I like." He replied.

Surprise knew that Storm hated lying unless he had too......she also knew that he would think carefully on his questions to her....she braced herself.

Storm stood up and faced Surprise.

"I have one small question." He stated.

Storm looked at Surprise blankly. "What happened to your family?" He asked.

Surprise winced and took a deep breath. "Well.....the thing is.....a few years ago in Manehatten the royal guard recruitment center blew up." She said sadly.

Storm frowned as he knew what she was talking about.

Surprise let a tear out. "They were about to sign up when a unicorn and a Pegasus entered the building and killed everypony on the bottom floor.....they...they did something that made the building explode......I....my mom and dad didn't have enough time to get out of there.....I.....I heard about it when a family friend had told me about it." She said with her voice breaking up.

Storm mentally kicked himself as he gave Surprise a light hug.....he muttered something in an old language.

Surprise had stopped crying but was confused as to why Storm had hugged her.....and what he had said.

"What did you say?" She asked slowly.

Storm let go of Surprise and sat back down in the circle and started to chant.

Surprise tried to understand what Storm was saying but was unable to understand anything he was saying.

She just walked away and exited the room then closed the door....but before she walked away from the door her mind was racked with a single question.

"Why was Storm so deeply affected by this?.....normally he is always emotionless.....but this.....this disturbed him greatly....a former assassin should be able to handle death easily...so why does this affect him?" She asked herself.

Surprise's eyes widened as something hit her...."What if Storm had something to do with it.....then again when I looked at Storm's profile on the book it said that he disappeared for an entire year....so maybe he........I need something to do." She thought.

She walked down the stairs with the full intention of distracting herself.

However inside Storm's room he was trying to find a good reason not to blame himself.

Storm realized that the royal guard recruitment center exploding was his fault....but then again he did not even know Surprise at the time.

He sat in silence for a few moments before continuing his chanting.

______*seven hours later 11:51*______

Storm was leaning on the windowsill looking out the window taking in the night sky.

He then groaned in pain and held his stomach as a familiar burning sensation churned.....he quickly looked up at the sky and saw that the moon was now full.....even though it was a crescent moon just a second ago.....he held in the pain and jumped out the window and took flight.....he flew towards the Everfree forest as fast possible.

Storm was infuriated at this outrage.....he turned just yesterday....he snarled as a thought entered his head.

"Damn that Alicorn!......I will kill her!" He shouted out loud.

As he flew he felt the wolf taking over bit by bit.....first by changing his hooves into claws then his tail.....he managed to hold it in until he was over the Everfree but he fell to the ground shortly afterwards.

Storm's body then changed further......his wings retracted into his body causing blinding pain.....his fur thickened and his ears became more furry and pointed......his teeth grew much larger and his eyes became much more wolf like......the only thing that was Storm's was his mind.

He ran further into the forest and eventually came across a hut he never saw before....he cursed himself for forgetting that a zebra lived in this forest....Zecora was her name.....but he could not hold it in anymore.....he screamed as the wolf took his mind over.

In place of Storm was a moderately sized wolf......Storm looked up at the moon and growled deeply....he then let out a terrifying howl.

_____*Inside Zecora's hut*_____

Zecora shot up out of her bed as she heard screaming outside of her hut....she rushed to the window and looked outside and discovered a wolf looking down outside of her hut......she saw the wolf look up....what came next horrified her.....the wolf howled and it almost paralyzed her......she saw the wolf's head snap in her direction and lunge at the window.

She ran as fast as she could down the stairs as the wolf broke into the hut.....Zecora quickly ran out the door and closed it....she ran away with the wolf right on her tail.....she rushed through the forest and heard her door break....she sped up and almost ran into quicksand.....she jumped over the quicksand and kept running.

Zecora knew she could not run into town but she was not safe in the forest.....although Zecora knew that very few wolfs left the forest and knew that her only chance to live was if the wolf would not leave the forest.....she ran towards town.

She quickly ran through the trees and knew that the wolf was not far behind.....she had a chance to look behind her and she did......to discover that the wolf was keeping its distance.....like it wanted her to run....and tire herself out.

Zecora kept on running as she knew that she could keep running for a long time.

The wolf grinned and lunged at Zecora no longer keeping its distance....Zecora noticed this and quickly strafed to her left behind a tree causing the wolf to hit its head on the tree temporally stunning it buying the zebra much needed time.

______*four minutes later at Rainbow Dash's cloud house.....Scootaloo's room*_____

Surprise was resting her head on Scootaloo's side peacefully when she heard a voice below her.....curious she quietly got up out of the bed and walked over to the window and flew out.....she looked and saw a zebra running below the house and.....a wolf chasing her!

She was shocked by this but she saw that the wolf was consistently moving slightly to the left and the right.....she knew that running pattern.

Surprise was unable to move but she heard something she hoped she would never hear again......the howl.

An ear piercing howl rang through the air.....it was terrifying to Surprise.

Scootaloo fell out of her bed and hit the floor with a thud.....she rubbed her head and groaned in pain.

At that exact moment Rainbow entered the room and ran over to Scootaloo.

"Scoot are you ok?" She asked with worry.

Scootaloo nodded and looked out the window and saw Surprise looking down while flying.

Dash and Scootaloo flew out the window and Scootaloo tapped Surprise's shoulder.

"Hey.....what's going on?" Scoot asked.

Surprise looked at Scoot and pointed down.....Dash and Scoot looked down and gasped.

Dash was filled with fury now. "You two....stay up here." She ordered. "I'm going to kick that wolf's but!" She yelled as she flew down at high speed.

Scootaloo and Surprise tried to call Dash back but had no luck......they looked at each other and they gulped....they flew down after Dash.

"DASH!" Scootaloo yelled and flew as fast as she could.

Surprise sped up as Dash kept flying at Storm.

Dash was blinded by fury to notice Surprise and Scootaloo chasing her......she then rammed the wolf as hard as she could....the wolf went flying and Dash was hit by recoil.

Scootaloo landed next to Dash who was getting back up. "Dash....you cant win this fight!" She warned.

Dash looked at Scootaloo in shock. "I told you to stay up there!" She yelled.

Surprise landed next to Scootaloo and was breathing heavily.

Scootaloo then transformed into her tiger form....she stood between Dash and Storm.

"Dash.....I'm not playing games here!.....you cant win no matter what you do!" She yelled.

Dash stepped forward and got into her battle stance. "Get out of the way Scoot." She ordered.

Scootaloo growled but did not move. "No....I wont let you pass......if you fight....he will kill you." She said....she stood her ground.

Surprise kept her eyes on Storm....he was getting back up....but he was wobbling and shaking weakly.

Dash was shaking with anger. "So your going to let him loose....is that it!" She yelled in anger.

Scootaloo shook her head. "No.....but I wont let you go to your death....if you want to fight him you will have to get past me." She said with persistence as she got into her battle stance.

Dash felt betrayed.....she was trying to protect everypony but her own sister was standing in her way.

"I'm trying to protect everypony!....and you wont let me do it!" She yelled.

Scootaloo's face was neutral. "Fine.....then fight me.....show me that you can protect me and everypony else." She said calmly.

Dash then had enough of this she flew up and went around her only to find that Scoot flew right up to her and then changed back into a tiger and delivered a powerful kick that sent Dash right to the ground.

Surprise gulped as she watched Storm recover.....he stopped shaking but was still wobbling.

Scootaloo landed on the ground and her feet dragged through the dirt.

"Dash get a grip!" She pleaded.

Dash stood up and growled. "Just get out of my way." She demanded.

Scootaloo returned to her neutral state. "If you are going to keep this up you had best get serious.....or we are both dead." She suggested.

Dash then charged again but this time at Scootaloo....she came in low and gave her an uppercut to the chin....she then flew up above Scootaloo and then kicked her back down to the ground.

Scootaloo quickly stood back up and flew up to Dash and then switched to her tiger form and pulled Dash to the ground with her.

Surprise knew she had to stop the fight because Storm was almost fully recovered....she ran up to the fighting sisters which were now facing off.....she stood between them.

"STOP!......you have to stop." She said as tears began forming in her eyes.

Dash and Scootaloo were thrown off guard by this and calmed down somewhat.

"Surprise.....please don't get involved." Scootaloo pleaded.

Surprise did not move. "You might want to look over there." She said pointing over at Storm.

Dash and Scootaloo both looked over and gasped......Storm was now fully recovered and he was snarling fiercely....he howled.

All three of the Pegasi froze up but Dash was now more furious.

Storm charged wildly and Dash flew up to him just as wildly.

Scootaloo ran towards Storm with her claws out.

Surprise stood behind with the full knowledge that she couldn't help even if she wanted to.

Storm suddenly stopped and kicked Dash hard in the chest sending her flying.

Scootaloo charged up to Storm and swiped her claws at him.....which Storm just evaded and punched her hard in the head knocking her back a few feet.

Surprise ran up to Dash and helped her to her feet.

"Dash...we need to get up into the air.....he cant fly." She said.

Dash wiped her lip.....she growled. "Get Scoot.....get her in the air......I'll hold the wolf off.....hopefully it'll be to focused on us to go after the town." She said before charging at Storm.

Surprise nodded and ran towards Scootaloo.

Storm slowly walked over to Scootaloo who was grunting in pain.....he stood up on his back feet and put his foot down on her chest....he looked over and saw that Dash was coming at him again....he smirked.

Dash charged up and then turned around and delivered a powerful double kick to Storm's chest.

Storm blocked one hoof with his one claw and bit the other hoof.

Dash let out a pained scream as she fell to the ground.

Storm picked Dash up and chuckled. "Your no fun." He said blankly.

Dash grunted in pain.....she growled deeply as she started to radiate a black energy....Storm gasped and he dropped her.

She stood up slowly and a red glow started to envelope her.....Dash looked up and her eyes were not magenta.....instead her eyes were a mix of red and black.....and they were spinning.

"Let Scootaloo go....now." She ordered.

Storm smirked and started to walked towards Dash.

Dash prepared herself for a tough fight....she was still sore from that bite.

"Surprise....get Scootaloo out of here.....I'll be with you shortly." She said.

Surprise ran up to Scootaloo and picked her up then flew up.

Dash and Storm faced off....they did not move for several moments until Storm charged at blinding speed and raked Dash's foreleg but received and strong punch in return.

Storm grinned....he charged again but this time he circled Dash and was making a strange symbol in the ground.....he pounced Dash and kicked her hard sending her flying once again.

Dash recovered very quickly and flew up to Storm at a speed twice as fast as Storm's and delivered a series of strong punches and kicks then she flew headfirst into Storm's chest.

Storm felt alive.....he then made both of his eyes red giving him a powerful advantage...he landed on the ground but only laughed.

He stood up and then made one more symbol.....he then took his claw and cut himself releasing his blood into the symbols.

Dash's eyes widened as Storm cut himself.....she looked down and saw that his blood filled the symbols...she charged at Storm and kicked him.

Storm just blocked it and muttered something in an ancient language which made the blood glow brightly.....Storm then grinned evilly as he started to glow.....he laughed as he punched Dash and charged forward and performed a series of claw swipes and kicks....he ended it by kicking her into the air.

Dash coughed up some blood and opened her eyes....she recovered but noticed that Storm did not continue his assault.

She looked around and saw that Surprise and Scootaloo were flying towards her.

"Are you two ok?" Dash asked.

Scootaloo nodded and still maintained her neutral expression.

Surprise was unscathed for the most part....Dash did not blame her for this....she looked at Scootaloo.

"Scoot.....we are going to have to team up for this." She suggested.

Scootaloo nodded and looked down.

Dash and Surprise looked down and saw that Storm was not moving in fact......the blood was coming to him.....he was absorbing it.

Storm then let out a scream of pain as something started to come out of his sides.....they looked like a pair of leathery wings.

Scootaloo and Dash looked at each other and nodded....they flew down to the ground and landed.

Dash watched as Storm was screaming in pain.....the wings finally stopped coming out and they then spanned.

Storm looked at Dash and Scootaloo and grinned.....he the muttered something which made his runes on his body glow....he charged at Dash with a supernatural speed......he swiped.

Scootaloo quickly charged and punched Storm in the side.....while Dash flew up and flew downwards in succession.

Storm suddenly stopped and did a backflip then he rushed behind Scootaloo and grabbed her and constricted her arms.

"So Dash......how is that bite mark?" He asked darkly.

Dash's eyes widened...she looked and saw that it was now fully healed but the fur in that area was thicker.

She then moved at blinding speed at kicked Storm off of Scootaloo sending Storm flying.

Dash's vision blurred but she warded it off through sheer willpower.

"You aren't getting us that easily." She said firmly.

Storm then chuckled and took flight....he raced up to the house and flew in through the window.

Dash was enraged that the wolf was not taking this seriously....she then saw Storm fly back out but this time had a dagger in his claw.

Storm flew down quickly but heard something near him.

"SURPRISE!" Surprise yelled as she tackled Storm which caused him to fall to the ground.

Storm was furious and he stood up and went to stab Surprise but upon seeing her terrified face he stopped.....he backed up and dropped the dagger.

He immediately kneeled and put his claws to the ground as his runes disappeared and the red glow he had faded.

The black glow around Dash faded but the red glow stayed...she was confused.

Surprise stood up and saw Storm.

Storm looked up and looked like he was crying. "I am so so sorry!.....I didn't mean to....I didn't know!.....I didn't know!......if I knew they were in there I wouldn't of blown up that building!" He said constantly repeating himself.

Surprise was now enraged....she found the killer of her parents and now she had a way to kill him.....she walked over to the dagger and picked it up.

Scootaloo rushed up to Surprise and stood between her and Storm.

Surprise looked up and saw Scootaloo blocking her path. "Scoot?" She asked.

Scootaloo kept a neutral face.....she looked at Storm who was still repeating himself.

"So.....Surprise now that you have that dagger.....what will you do with it?" She said.

Surprise heard a voice whispering in her ear....she looked behind her but she nothing....she looked at Storm's dagger.....she heard the whispering again.

"Kill him......take your revenge......destroy him.......use me to kill him......kill....." It said.

Surprise was shaking.....she knew that Scootaloo was against killing any living being....even if that being killed many others......Surprise dropped the dagger and dropped down breathing heavily.

"What the buck did he do to that dagger?" She asked.

Scootaloo walked up to Surprise and picked her up.....she then picked up the dagger and picked it up.

Dash watched as Storm constantly repeated himself.....she walked up to him and lifted his head so they were eye to eye.

Storm looked into Dash's eyes and was trembling. "Go ahead.....do it." He said bracing himself for the inevitable.

Dash stared deep into Storm's eyes and gasped...she backed up hastily.

"Storm?" She asked.

Storm chuckled...he stood up. "Took you long enough.....so Dash......you never said......how is your leg?" He asked.

Dash looked at the bite mark....she noticed that her fur was thickening on the entire leg....she looked at Storm.

"It's been better....." She said.

Storm smiled.....he took a deep breath and sighed in relief.....he looked back at Dash. "Well....Its still growing.....but we have time." He said.....he then took his arm and bit down.....he then held his now bleeding arm out.

"If you want to avoid the change.....then drink." He said.

Dash shook her head rapidly as her vision blurred. "How do I know that it wont just speed it up?" She asked.

Storm chuckled. "Because if I did that it would be pointless....you have about one minute." He replied.

Dash then took his arm and slowly drank his blood.....she almost threw up......she swallowed it then backed up quickly....she was on the ground breathing heavily.

Storm walked up to Dash and picked her up.

"Well.....that's it.......you had better go up....I'll be up later." He said.

Dash didn't need any more advice....she flew up but Storm grabbed her back leg.

"One quick question before you go." He said.

Dash yanked her leg out of his grasp and looked at him. "What?" She asked.

Storm gave her his usual glare. "How are you able to use that power too?" He countered.

Dash's eyes widened but she just flew back up to the house.

Storm felt insulted....but he rushed back to the Everfree for the night.

______*the next day inside of the Everfree forest 11:10 AM*_____

Storm groaned as he awoke....he slowly opened his eyes to get a better look of his surroundings.

He was inside the forest to be sure.....the only bad part of this morning he hated was that he remembered everything from last night....he sighed.

Storm knew that he revealed what he did to Surprise......he stood up and flew into the air.

He looked around and soon saw Ponyville in the distance.....he flew towards his home at full speed.

Storm gritted his teeth and he growled at his own incompetence.....no......it wasn't his fault.....the moon was turned into a full moon last night.....it wasn't supposed to be a full moon last night......there was only one explanation....that sun loving Princess made the moon full....he was positive that she did it to find him.....it was common knowledge amongst the royal guard that he was a werewolf.....a rare trait in certain bloodlines.....he had to stay hidden now......it was either that or bring unneeded death.

He chuckled at the thought of unneeded death....he caused it everywhere he went.

Storm flew out of the Everfree and then flew towards the cloud house.

As he flew towards the cloud home he looked at the town and saw that the locals were starting to come out....he shook his head and continued towards the house.

Storm finally reached the house and landed on the porch...he walked up to the door and knocked.

He heard footsteps coming from behind the door and it opened.....to reveal Surprise.

Storm mentally cursed but maintained his emotionless face.

Surprise let him in but remained silent....she had an angry glare though.....Storm understood that.

Storm walked inside and noticed that Scootaloo was on the couch and had an accusing glare.....Dash was sitting on the chair and looked like she was attacked by a wild bear.....although Storm knew the truth....for a few moments none of the Pegasi said anything so Storm sighed and he walked up the stairs.

He walked up to his room door and opened it....he walked inside and closed the door then he walked over to his box and opened it.....he pulled out the pair of shades and his goggles.....he also pulled out Sift's goggles.

Storm sat down inside the circle and set the three objects in front of him.

He looked at each and remembered many past missions and days he hadn't taken seriously....he looked up at the sun and started to tremble with anger.

Storm stood up and walked over to his weapons cabinet.....he opened it and saw that Demise wasn't there....he grabbed his wing blades and equipped them...he walked out of the room and closed the door.

_____*the living room*____

Dash heard footsteps walking down the stairs and she sighed.

Scootaloo saw Storm enter the room and lean against the wall.

"Storm you ok?" Scootaloo asked.

Storm nodded but looked around. "Where's Demise?" He asked.

Dash stood up and then walked over to the bookshelf.....she moved a book and pulled out Storm's dagger and threw it to him.

Storm grabbed Demise and sheathed it....he walked outside of the house.

Surprise entered the room and the entire room was silent again....she just wanted to go upstairs and cry.....but she knew it was time to move on....she walked over to the couch and sat down.

Storm closed the door and then flew off towards the library......he had a message to send.

As he flew above the town Storm heard some murmurs below....being a werewolf had its perks....and better hearing was one of them.

Storm saw the library door open and Twilight Sparkle was standing in the doorway and so was a zebra....he saw Twilight bidding the zebra farewell and Storm flew at high speeds and rammed Twilight and he then held Demise against her throat.

"Storm!....are you nuts?!" She accused.

Spike had the unfortunate position of being in the room at the time and Storm looked at him.

"Close the door.....if you try and yell for help she dies......got it?" Storm said plainly.

Twilight did the logical thing and told him to do it.....she then looked at Storm.

Spike ran over to the door and closed it.

"What do you want?" She asked.

Storm released Twilight from his grip. "I have a message for your Princess....and I'm not taking no for an answer." He replied.

Twilight held her throat and cleared it. "What do you want to say?" She asked.

Storm walked over to the desk and grabbed a piece of paper and the quill...he handed them over to Spike.

"It's more of a question.....ask her why the moon was full last night.....even though the night before was a full moon." He replied.

Twilight looked at Spike and nodded.

Spike hastily wrote Storm's message and sent it.

"Now what?" Twilight asked.

Storm chuckled. "Now we wait.....lets see how fast that sun butt replies." He joked.

Twilight wanted to scold him for that remark but she remembered two things.....one he was from the Artic....enemy's of Equestria.....and two that she was in no position to argue.

Spike belched out green flame and a scroll appeared....Spike opened it. "It says....that was the only full moon in this month." He recited.

Storm chuckled. "Well now....now I know that it was her." He said.

Twilight was now curious as to where he was going with this. "What do you mean?" She asked.

Storm looked at Twilight like she was an idiot. "You really are an idiot......the fact that she is denying it makes it much more obvious that she is suspicious.....Spike give me the quill...I want to see how she reply's to this." He said.

Spike walked over to Storm and handed him the quill.

Twilight was insulted to say the least.....but she held in her outburst.

Storm walked over to the desk and grabbed a piece of paper and began to write furiously......about five seconds later he had the scroll ready to be delivered.

Spike took the scroll and looked at the contents. "Twilight listen to this....this is literally what the letter says......hello sun butt.......thank you for telling me that you are on to me......have fun trying to capture me.....by the way I have grenades so good luck." He read.

Twilight gasped but heard Storm sighing. "What?....I do have grenades." He replied.

Spike shrugged and sent the letter. "What are grenades?" He asked.

Storm grinned widely and began hovering. "Well I cant show you in here." He replied flying out the door.

Spike followed the Pegasus outside.

Twilight gulped and followed the two.

_____*Ponyville lake one minute later*______

Storm walked up to the edge of the water and stopped....he began hovering again and lifted his hoof.

Spike noticed that Storm had a strange device on his foreleg.....as Storm raised it he began wondering.

"What is that?" He asked.

Storm smirked. "You got potato launchers here?" He asked.

Spike thought on it for a moment before Twilight cleared her throat.

"Yes we do but what do they have to do with anything?" She asked.

Storm chuckled. "Well....this is a grenade launcher.....and lets just say it has a bigger kick then a potato launcher." He replied.

He then fired the grenade launcher and the grenade flew....it then landed in the water.

Spike was disappointed. "Well that was disappointing." He said.

Just as Spike spoke the grenade went off causing all of the lakes water to explode upward.

Storm laughed and then opened his mouth.

Twilight was horrified....she gulped as the water splashed down hard on her.

Spike was now soaked and so was Twilight and Storm....but Storm seemed to enjoy it far more.

Storm laughed. "See!.....that is why I have grenades!" He yelled.

Spike gasped as he saw that the lake was now empty.

Twilight fainted but Spike was in awe.

Spike belched and a scroll appeared.

Storm landed next to Spike as he read it.
