________*two days later Rainbow Dash's cloud home 3:59 PM*________

Dash sat in the chair in the living room, she had heard about Storm's little fiasco from Twilight and had giving him a hard time about it, but then again he just grinned and told her that he was having fun.

Scootaloo and Surprise just stayed out of it knowing fully well that Dash and Storm got very cranky once you got on their last nerves, even though almost anything could get to Storm.

Storm was in his room carefully making more grenades for the launcher, he would not explain how he knew how to make them....or what they were.

Dash heard knocking at the door and she stood up and walked up to the door, she opened it and saw a unicorn royal guard and a Pegasus royal guard. "Oh hello officers, what brings you here?" She asked.

The unicorn guard grunted and pushed passed Dash and walked inside.

Dash was offended. "Hey you cant just barge in here!" She snapped.

The guard paid Dash no mind. "Rainbow Dash, where is the fourth?" He asked.

Dash knew who he was talking about. "Who?" She countered.

The unicorn grabbed Dash In his magic and pinned her against the wall. "Don't play dumb!, we have been watching this house and we know for a fact that there is four pegasi in this house, now where is the assassin?" He asked.

A throat was heard clearing, and they all looked to see Storm leaning on the wall at the top of the stairs.

"Wow, if I didn't know better I would say that the oppression was still around, it might as well be, now I am going to give you guards two options, option one I brutalize you so much that when I send your mutilated corpses back to Canterlot they will throw up, option two you leave and I give you a ten second head start, go ahead and chose I'm in no hurry." Storm said unsheathing Demise.

The Pegasus outside rushed in and went to hit Storm with an uppercut.

Storm smirked and moved slightly to the left and stabbed the guard in the brain.

"You are what's protecting Equestria?, I cant believe we didn't conquer you years ago." He said pulling Demise out of the dead guards head.

The unicorn was outraged and fired a volley of magical blasts at Storm.

Storm yawned and he sat down on the steps activating his runes, the blasts just bounced off him.

"That is the problem with most unicorns, they rely WAY to much on magic, I mean come on they use it to eat, how lazy are you people?" He taunted.

Storm stood back up and yawned, he threw Demise and hit the guard right between the eyes.

"Cool, the guards are dead and I can go back to work." He said walking back up the stairs.

Dash, Scootaloo and Surprise were shocked but Dash ran up the stairs after Storm.

Storm opened his bedroom door and went to walk inside but felt a hoof on his shoulder, he looked behind him and sighed.

"What do you want Dash?" He asked.

Dash gave him an evil glare. "What is your problem?" She countered.

Storm chuckled and walked into his room. "If I tell you, you have to tell me something." He replied teasingly.

Dash gave It thought and decided that she would not have another chance.

"Fine ask me, what do you want to know?" She asked.

Storm smirked. "Very well, how can you use shadow energy?" He asked.

Dash facehoofed. "Ugh, you had to ask that, first off tell me how you know." She said.

Storm knew that he most likely wouldn't be able to get another chance unless he tortured her.

"Easy, my mom can use it, although she is three times better at it." He stated.

Dash felt insulted but decided to stay on track. "Well, I obtained the ability through means that I had no desire of participating." She said with avoidance.

Storm was not satisfied but his question was answered.

"Ok then, the answer to what's wrong with me is very simple, I lost my dad back in Cloudsdale then a few years later I lose my wife because of your damn country then I had to give up my daughter for her own protection then I almost died because of an implant and if THAT wasn't bad enough I almost killed my family!" He replied angrily.

Dash backed up but understood his pain. "Sorry I asked, but there has to be some good from all of this." She asked sadly.

Storm nodded and turned around and opened his box. "Yep, there was some good from this, I met my birth parents and had fun for a year with my mom, I met Venom, I fought in the war with my team, tasted griffon meat and some pony meat, I found my weapons and I was lucky enough to find Scoot in Staklis." He replied.

Dash raised an eyebrow. "Staklis?" She asked.

Storm chuckled. "The real name of the city spoken in Jursan, my peoples language, the real name of the city is Blade Gorge." He explained.

Dash nodded in somewhat understanding. "Right, I'll just go." She said turning around.

Storm grabbed Vinyl's old shades and stopped Dash.

Dash looked and saw that he was holding a familiar pair of goggles. "Storm, are those what I think they are?" She asked.

Storm nodded. "Yep, my moms old shades, I haven't seen her ever since I returned to Staklis, it took her an entire year to learn the language, technically two months but that isn't important." He said.

Dash rolled her eyes and walked out of the room.

Storm looked at the shades and remembered the escape from the royal apothecary facility their adventures with the Doctor, blowing up the royal guard recruitment center, the club, meeting his other mom, but the thing he remembered most was the lessons he learned, he learned how to use his eye powers more efficiently without him nearly killing himself, he learned how to use shadow energy, and he found a way to negate the insanity effects of his runes, Storm chuckled and laughed at his attempts to teach Vinyl his eye powers, she couldn't use the scanning eyes until the last day, he was not sure anymore, he put on the shades and chuckled at his own stupidity and put the shades back in the box and picked up a picture that was next to it and smiled.

It was him standing next to Vinyl back when he was in his drained appearance, he was grinning and had his back to Vinyl and she was copying him, they were both looking at the camera with the same grin, Storm was missing many feathers and a lot of fur and hair, his eyes were also bleeding.

Vinyl on the other hand looked much better, she was missing just hair and fur, but Storm could tell that she was beat up.

Storm smiled and put the picture back.

He walked up to his bed and laid down with the memory still fresh in his mind as he drifted back to sleep.

_______*Flashback Manehatten apartment two minutes after reaching the apartment*______

Vinyl leaned back in her chair as she cleaned her gun.

Storm was chanting in front of his bed while holding Demise.

The Doctor was silent in the corner.

Vinyl sighed and walked up to Storm and slapped the back of his head.

Storm let out a yelp of pain and rubbed the back of his head. "What was that for?" He asked accusingly.

Vinyl gave him a scolding glare and then rolled her eyes. "How about we focus on what's important here a moment?" She suggested while holstering her gun.

Storm stood up and sheathed Demise. "Fine, so Doctor what do we do about these, Cybermen?" He asked.

The Doctor stood up and walked over to the door. "First we need to get back to the TARDIS so I can scan this head." He paused pointing at the Cyberman head he had.

Vinyl opened the door and walked out. "Then what are we waiting for?" She said.

The Doctor rushed out and Storm slowly left the room.

Storm locked the door and walked outside.

"You two really need to relax." He said.

Vinyl rolled her eyes. "True but YOU are the reason we are doing this." She replied teasingly.

Storm sighed and flew up to Vinyl.

"Ha ha ha go ahead and laugh lets see what happens when you get injured." He countered.

Vinyl chuckled and continued walking.

The Doctor had a serious look on his face, he turned to face Vinyl and Storm. "We have to hurry, no distractions." He said as he started running.

Vinyl and Storm sighed, they then chased after the Doctor.

______*three minutes later, in front of the TARDIS,*_______

The Doctor was inside the TARDIS scanning the Cyberman head.

Storm was leaning against a nearby building in boredom, he sighed and looked at Vinyl.

"Why is it that we cant get a break?" He asked.

Vinyl shrugged and looked at the sky. "How should I know?, for all I know we are being watched by some unseen force." She replied.

Storm gave her a serious glare. "Don't joke about that stuff, that shit is real." He said jokingly.

Vinyl chuckled and closed her eyes. "Fine, so I have a question." She said in Jursan.

Storm smiled and closed his eyes as he looked at the sky. "What is it?" He replied in the same language.

"Would you be interested in a trade?" She said returning to her normal language.

Storm raised an eyebrow and smirked. "I have a feeling I know what you mean." He said knowingly.

Vinyl shrugged. "Then tell me." She said slowly.

Storm laughed and opened his eyes. "I have an idea that you want to trade ability for ability, or in our case eye powers for energy powers." He replied.

Vinyl grinned and opened her eyes. "Yep, pretty much, but then again my part of the trade only works if you have any shadow energy in you." She said.

Storm rolled his eyes. "Sure, why not, I've got nothing to lose, but you have to hold your side of the bargain." He replied.

Vinyl nodded. "I guess we can start while the Doctor works." She said.

Storm shrugged. "Alright, where do we start?" He asked.

Vinyl walked into the middle of the alley and gestured for Storm to come closer.

Storm sighed and did so but stood a foot away.

"Alright, now the first thing you need to do is to get mad at something." She said.

Storm raised an eyebrow. "Huh?" He asked.

Vinyl sighed. "The easiest way to generate and control shadow energy is to be angry, so it will be easiest way to figure out if you have shadow energy inside of you, although you should, I can use it and so can Daring, so go ahead, get mad." She said simply.

Storm sighed and searched his memory's, he remembered living a life as a thief, he remembered losing his life in a matter of minutes, he remembered meeting Dash, he remembered the time he spent with her, he remembered leaving after Dash left, he remembered the day the orphanage caught him in his sleep, he remembered meeting Sift who he befriended, he remembered their escape from the orphanage, he remembered having to stay behind so Sift could escape, he remembered catching up with Sift in Blade Gorge after a few months, he sighed.

"I got nothing." He said.

Vinyl shook her head In disappointment. "Then I guess we're going to have to do this the hard way." She said.

Storm raised an eyebrow but before he could say anything he was knocked to the ground, he hit the ground hard and he looked up at Vinyl who returned her hoof to the ground, he growled in anger.

"What the hell!" He shouted as he rose to his feet, he felt a familiar sensation and smirked. "Well now, I guess that means that's taken care of." He said as he charged Vinyl and threw her to the ground.

"Now were even." He said helping Vinyl back up.

Vinyl chuckled. "Good, you have it on you, now we just have to work on controlling it." She replied.

Storm smirked. "Probably wont take long, I'm a fast learner." He said.

Vinyl rolled her eyes. "And I'm a slow teacher, lets get started." She said.

The Doctor came out of the TARDIS with a pleased look on his face. "I've got a fix on the Cybermen's location, its in the fourth warehouse district, somewhere." He said.

Vinyl sighed. "Bummer." She said.

Storm groaned. "Damn it, Doc you got bad timing." He said with annoyance.

The Doctor grinned and ran off in the direction of the Cybermen's base.

Vinyl and Storm shared a look of disbelief before following the Doctor.

_____*ten minutes later at the warehouse district*_____

Storm flew above the warehouses looking for anything suspicious while Vinyl and the Doctor searched the warehouses from the inside, he saw something odd, it was a large antenna on the roof of one of the warehouses, he flew close to inspect, there was some strange wires wrapped around it, there was a strange lever there as well, Storm decided it would be worth at least one minute of his scanning eyes, he closed his eyes and when he opened them they were now forest green, he looked at the lever for a few moments before closing his eyes, when he opened them they were purple.

Storm gritted his teeth as his eyes started to bleed, he blocked the pain out and flew up to the wires, he pulled Demise out and cut the wires sending the electrical current through him, Storm screamed in pain as the volts ran through him, The Doctor and Vinyl rushed over to Storm and looked up at him.

Vinyl gasped in shock and teleported up to Storm, she grabbed Storm and pulled him away causing the electrical currents to course through her.

The Doctor acted quickly and searched for a way up, he found a ladder and raced for it.

Vinyl felt the electric currents fade as the pain subsided, she slowly sat up and groaned in pain, she sighed and looked at the antenna.

"Looks like you took that out." She said.

Storm laughed painfully. "Yea, yea good job guys, now if you don't mind, I'm going to lay here until my head stops spinning." He said laying down on the cold roof, he then coughed up some blood.

Vinyl looked at him and noticed his eyes were bleeding. "You have to stop with those eye powers you know that." She paused.

"If you don't your going to make yourself blind, like me, only it wont be for two months a year." She finished.

Storm chuckled. "Yea right, your forgetting that your going to learn how to use them as well." He replied mockingly.

Vinyl rolled her eyes as the Doctor reached the roof. "You two alright?" The Doctor asked.

"Yea I'm fine, just give me a moment." Storm said weakly as he tried to sit up.

Vinyl pushed him back down and held him down with her magic. "Oh no you don't, your staying here until your not a burden." She ordered.

Storm sighed in relief. "Sure mom, as you say." He said with a weak mock salute.

Vinyl rolled her eyes. "Of course your making jokes, just don't move, got it?" She ordered.

Storm chuckled in pain. "I get it, no motion for me until the pain goes bye bye." He said weakly.

Vinyl chuckled. "Shut up, ok Doctor your on your own." She said.

The Doctor nodded and ran off. "As soon as your ready meet me inside the Cyberman base." He replied.

Vinyl nodded and Storm chuckled. "Sure, be there as soon as possible." Storm said.

The Doctor climbed down the ladder and ran towards the entrance of the base, which was just a lone door with a Cyberman head symbol on it.

A deep rumbling was heard under the ground and Vinyl quickly rose to her feet, Storm groaned in pain. "Son of a bitch!" Storm shouted.

Vinyl rolled her eyes. "Be quiet." She ordered.

Storm slowly rose to his feet. "Ow, ow ow ow." He said weakly.

Vinyl looked around and saw that there was four Cybermen in the shape of three earth ponies and a Pegasus, she sighed in annoyance, she pulled her gun out and aimed at the Cybermen.

"Alright, what do you want?" Vinyl asked.

The Cybermen looked at her. "You will be deleted." The Pegasus replied.

Storm sighed and looked at the Cybermen. "Ok look, can we not do this, hey here's an idea, how about we wait until I can fight then we fight?" He suggested as he weakly went for Demise.

The Cybermen charged and opened fire, Vinyl fired her gun at the Cybermen hitting one of the earth pony Cybermen in the head.

Vinyl continued firing at the Cybermen as Storm shakily pulled Demise out. "I hate this job." Storm said.

Storm watched as one of the Cybermen charged him and he slashed upwards with his dagger, it was a clumsy slash so all it did was make the Cyberman stumble backwards.

Vinyl shot the last bullet in her clip at a Cyberman which caused it to scream in pain before it died, she looked over at Storm and gasped as he was weakly fighting off two of the Cybermen, she focused on the Cyberman attacking her and reloaded her gun as the Cyberman stood back up.

Storm was grunting in pain as he held it back, he knew that he could not hold out, he waited as the Pegasus Cyberman went to shoot him, he weakly threw Demise into the Cyberman's head, he looked over at Vinyl only to be sent flying by a Cyberman's punch.

Vinyl lunged at her opponent after she finished reloading her gun, she triggered her hidden blade and stabbed the Cyberman in the throat, and for good measure she fired her guns entire clip into the Cyberman's head, after her revolver clicked she started to reload it, she looked over at Storm who was weakly getting back up as the Cyberman he was fighting prepared to shoot him, Vinyl charged at the Cyberman and stabbed it in the spine, she gasped as the Cyberman jumped making the roof fall in.

Storm had leapt at the Cyberman as it jumped and instantly regretted it as he fell in after Vinyl and the Cyberman, since he was in great pain he couldn't use his wings, he screamed as he fell.

Vinyl was locked in combat with the Cyberman, she punched it in the face and fired a magic bolt at it, she charged herself with shadow energy and kicked the Cyberman, she screamed in pain as she crashed to the ground.

Storm screamed in pain, since he was already wounded and weakened the fall caused him blinding pain.

Vinyl looked over at the Cyberman who was now decapitated, she sighed in relief and slowly sat up, she looked at Storm who was beat up even more. "Storm, you alright?" She asked.

Storm swallowed a breath and chuckled. "Nothing gets me down, I am really going to need that whiskey when we get back." He said as he weakly sat up.

Vinyl laughed softly as she stood up. "I hope your in the mood to share, I could use one to." She said.

Storm coughed up some blood, he wiped his lips and chuckled. "Sure, but if we get drunk and do something stupid don't blame me." He replied as he stood up slowly.

Vinyl smiled as she looked around, the Cyberman was dead, there was multiple crates and barrels around them, Vinyl walked up to Storm.

"How's the leg?" She asked.

Storm grunted in pain. "Not good, I can barely stand as it is, so either we wait or you carry me." He said plainly.

Vinyl sighed and set Storm on her back. "You better pull your weight." She ordered.

Storm exclaimed in pain. "Sure, so long as anything gets close I'm fine, its not like I didn't get electrocuted, I'm definitely not coughing up blood, and I didn't fall from the roof of the warehouse only to fall onto the ground." He said sarcastically.

Vinyl rolled her eyes and began walking out of the warehouse.

"Hey Scratch, you ever wonder why the Equestrian population has little to none intelligence on the outside world?" Storm asked.

Vinyl walked outside the warehouse and stopped. "Yea that has been bothering me for a few years now." She replied.

Storm nodded. "All I'm saying is that Equestria knows barely anything, they think they're the only species out there right now, its like either they don't want to know, or its being kept from them, the only ones who know anything are the royal guard, this land is ignorant and weak, no offence, but seriously why do you think we separated from this land anyway?, one thing, do they even know about Griffons, Changelings or even the fucking Kangaroos?" He asked.

Vinyl started walking towards the apartment. "Nope, there isn't any mention of them in any library, it seems that someone wants this land ignorant, why that is, I have no idea." She replied.

Storm chuckled. "Its a simple war strategy, remove all intelligence so the enemy is blind, but this must have taken a long time to do, but why all of this against, oh I get it." He said.

Vinyl continued towards the apartment. "Get what?" She asked.

Storm grunted in pain. "The royal apothecary's, their research, its clear that they want it kept quiet, so they wiped every record of any species outside of ours." He replied.

Vinyl started laughing, and soon Storm joined in, although his laughs caused him great pain.

_____*twenty minutes later at the apartment*_____

Vinyl set Storm down on his bed and walked over to her bed. "You have got to stop with your powers you know that?" She asked.

Storm chuckled. "Screw it, just need to take it easy, though I wish it was as easy that it sounds." He replied.

Vinyl rolled her eyes and began taking her equipment off, Storm took his daggers sheath off and threw it at the wall along with Demise.

"I'm done for the day, give me a minute and I'll get the alcohol." Storm said as he sat up.

Vinyl laughed. "How about I get it?" She suggested.

Storm shook his head. "Nope, I'm getting it and you cant do anything about it." He replied as he stood up and walked towards the bookshelf.

Vinyl sighed and walked over to the table where all of her and Storm's equipment was at, she set her gun carefully on the table and set her hidden blade down.

Storm grabbed a bottle of whiskey off the shelf and opened it, he walked up to the table and sat down, he then grabbed two wine glasses from a nearby cabinet, he poured some whiskey into the glasses and passed one to Vinyl.

Vinyl sat down at the table and drank the whiskey, she set the glass down and looked at Storm. "How about we continue the lesson tomorrow, you know, when we don't feel like crap?" She suggested.

Storm swallowed all the whiskey in his glass and looked at Vinyl. "You know, don't get used to it but, I agree, but I can actually start teaching you the scanning eye." He replied.

Vinyl chuckled as Storm poured more whiskey into the glasses. "What do you mean?" She asked.

Storm smirked. "For one its rather easy, so here's what you do." He paused.

Vinyl raised an eyebrow as Storm gestured her to lean in.

Storm leaned in and whispered in Vinyl's ear.

Vinyl listened intently as Storm explained the scanning eye.

Storm had no idea why he was giving away one of his secrets to Vinyl, but he felt like it didn't matter, but as he explained the scanning eye to Vinyl a thought came to his head. "This will be interesting." He said to himself.

A loud thudding noise rang through the air, Vinyl and Storm knew what it was and smirked. "See you Doctor." Vinyl said.

"Bye Doc." Storm added once he stopped talking to Vinyl.

Storm walked back over to his bed and began chanting, but this time without Demise.

"Don't bother trying to do it tonight, you'll need all of your energy for it." Storm said.

Vinyl nodded and grabbed her gun, she aimed at an empty bottle of wine on the bookcase, she smirked. "This will be one fun year." She said as she fired the gun.
