It has been months since Sunset Shimmer's plot forced Princess Celestia and Princess Luna to destroy the portal linking Equestria with Canterlot High, also stranding Shimmer in Equestria. While Gearhead, now called Gerald, searched for a portal safe enough for Twilight Sparkle, Spike, and himself to go home, other threats arose to challenge the group for the fate of the world.

Working together with Jackie, Felicia, Pinkie, Rayne, Rochelle, Spike, and Twila, Gerald managed to defeat the Sirens, rendering them powerless. As the Dazzlings fled the scene, a second threat emerged. With this new force regrouping, the human Elemental Six have the opportunity to take a breather, and Gerald will use that opening to look into that one thing that was bothering him about the Dazzlings.

After all, a hero ought to take responsibility for the messes he makes when he and his friends defeat their opponents.

This Original Side Story (like OAV, OVA, or OAD) is an entry for the Friend-Off Contest on Equestria Daily. The cover image is not mine, but it is one of the bases for the fanfic. I actually got the idea when I saw a screencap similar to this, and thought "doesn't she look like she wants a hug? Wait a minute..! Is that all they wanted?!'

This came out longer than intended, but I'm satisfied and I think I kept each chapter fairly short.
