My StoryView OnlineBroken LoveMy StoryYou are a prisoner of the changelings, abducted to hear a story from their Queen. I am Queen Chrysalis. And I would be willing to bet you know about me and what I have done: Trying to steal Candace's husband from her, to feed on his love. You probably hate me for it. But I have time to tell you something, something I hope will change the way you see me. I may be evil at times, but that should not sully my reputation. I do not have to kill or kidnap to feed on love, but any alternatives are much more challenging, and thus, frustrating. My story begins in Ponyville, the small town just a few hours away from Canterlot. I was disguised as a young colt, trying to feed off of his parent's love for him. As I walked through the streets of Ponyville, a storm began to brew. I considered going back to the home of the colt, and receiving more love from his parents, but I took into consideration the fact that if I did not return and the parents found me shivering in a bush to try and hide from the rain, that they would worry about "me" and when they found me I would receive more love than before. I crawled into a large bush and sat down in the wet dirt. I felt the soft ground sink beneath me and heard the sound of the rain hitting the leaves above my head. Looking up, I saw a mare walking through the streets, pulling a cart of groceries behind her. Lightning flashed in the distance, and the mare turned to look behind her. She quickened her pace. Lightning struck again not too far from us, maybe a mile behind the mare. She started to run. The Queen fidgets uncomfortably and swallows. The lightning struck again, hitting a tree in front of the mare. The tree began to fall, and upon seeing this, the mare attempted a full stop. The cart's wheel snapped upon being forced to brake, and the cart itself flipped, crushing the mare. The tree fell onto the wreckage and broke the cart. Switching to my true form, I stepped towards the wreck. No other pony was in sight, they were all taking cover from the rain. I peeked into the wreckage, and I saw a horrifyingly twisted gruesome wreck of a mare. Her face was mutilated, and no one would be able to tell who she was. She was wearing a small bag, and I used my horn to lift it out of the wreckage. Her name was Emmije, a Canterlot - born pony. She had photos in her bag of her and a handsome stallion. They were in deep love. If he were to find out she was dead, he would most likely kill himself. I did not think rationally about what I was about to do. I used my magic to take her form, and tracked down her husband. I found their home, and stepped into it. "Emmije!" He said to me. "I was worried you got lost in the storm." I put the new body's voice to work. "I'm fine dear, but the cart..." I forced my voice to trail off. "What happened to it?" He inquired. "I abandoned it because of a tree falling towards me, and it struck down another mare." I lied. "Oh my..." He said. "Is she still alive?" "No." I said a bit coldly. He noticed the change in behavior and stared at me for a moment. "N- nothing could have survived the crash." I said, keeping up with the facade. He was satisfied with the change back to normal, and he sent a message to the police asking for them to gather the mare's body. I spent more time with him, finding out that his name was Egas, and that he was also from Canterlot, and that the couple had moved to Ponyville for a more simple life away from the city. We moved to the bedroom after sunset, and I layed in the bed next to him. Just as I closed my eyes, I heard him say: "I love you, Emmije." And he kissed me. As our lips connected I felt a surge of love - energy course through my very body. This facade would keep me healthy for years. The Queen paces the room, thinking. But... something else happened besides that. I fell in love for the first time that night. I felt as if his energy didn't just keep me alive, but it... benefited me. It was a great feeling. I slipped out of the room through the window under the cover of night and released the colt. He would surely say he was kidnapped, but he would appear as though he was lost in the rain and in shock from the experience. The Queen calls for two changeling guards. They lead you out of the room and throw you into a cell. As you lay on the provided mattress to fall asleep, your curiosity peaks. "The Queen of the changelings, in love?" You wonder as you pass out.
With age...View OnlineBroken LoveWith age...Awakening on the third morning, you are again escorted by guards to the Queen's chamber. Where did I leave off.... Oh, that's right. After our anniversary, we made love for the first time, and he after, he expressed his feelings on a rather... touchy subject. "Let's have a child, Emmije." He said to me. "What?" I inquired. "A baby. I want to have a child of my own. Don't tell me it's never crossed your mind before." "I can't say it has." I told him. "But, Egas... oh..." "What?" "Okay!" I said, defeated. "Fine, we'll have a child." What was I thinking? A baby? It would be a changeling for sure. The chances of a baby coming from me not being a changeling were very slim. I didn't know what I would do if I was pregnant with a changeling baby. Tell him I was raped? Raped by changelings? But I stopped thinking that far. For now, I thought, I will just worry about how I could get pregnant from this stallion. When he left for work the next day, I continued the facade, which, by now, was routine, and when he got a safe distance away, I went to the Ponyville library. It was located inside of a large tree, but no one lived in it, even though it was for rent, so it was open to the public. I stepped into the library and was amazed. The walls were lined with books on all subjects ranging from A - Z and 0 to Infinity. Everything I could imagine and even things I couldn't were in those books. I just stood there, mesmerized, for at least twenty minutes, and then I remembered why I had come. Following the spines of the books, I got to the C section and looked for changelings. From the amount of books there were this took a few hours, maybe four hours at most. I found a book called... The Queen sits for a minute, thinking. ...Ah! I found a book called Everything There Is To Know About Changelings. This book was literally a foot thick, and held changeling - related knowledge from simple things like what we are - shape shifters - to complex spells related to protecting your form from being stolen by a changeling. I took the book, and signed it out under the name of Emmije. My husband did not get home for another two hours, so I had plenty of time to find the passage about pregnancy. It turned out that that theory was incorrect. I heard him burst through the door and barely had time to hide the book under a loose floorboard. He ran up the stairs and into the room very excitedly. He obviously had news for me. So I decided to get the information from him. "Why are you so.... jumpy, honey?" I asked him. "I have exciting news!" He burst. "What is it?" I asked, feeling slightly impatient. "I got promoted!" He yelled. I was surprised and happy. "What?" "Yeah! My boss was looking at a report I filed, and he called me up, told me it was impressive and the next thing I knew I was manager of the Cloudsdale cloud factory!" He said, all in one sentence, then sucked in enough air to fill a tire. I kissed him, and we moved to the bed. "Why don't we try and make that baby?" He asked. I thought to the book. I wasn't ready yet, but I loved him so. "Yes." I said. We made love again, and I had the feeling that I was pregnant. It wasn't definite, but it just seemed... highly likely. I'm done for today. Get out. Now more trusted by the Queen, you step out of her quarters, and rather than have the guards drag you to your cell, they walk alongside you.
New LifeView OnlineBroken LoveNew LifeMore trusted than ever, you walk to Queen Chrysalis's chambers freely with only one guard accompanying you. And we begin again. As I told you last night, I had a suspicion of pregnancy. Three months after than night, we took a visit to the hospital to confirm my suspicions. I sat in a white room, with white sheets, a white bed, and wearing a white gown. Everything that could be white was white. A nurse stepped into the room and spoke. "Are you her husband?" The words were directed at Egas. "Yes." He said. "I'm sorry," She said. "but you need to leave the room. We will let you in when the procedure is over." When Egas left the room, the nurse closed and locked the door. Her skin rippled, and she turned into, or rather reversed back to, a changeling. "My Queen!" The changeling hissed. He was male. I shook my head and pretended to be confused. "I know it is you!" He said. "What're you doing? The herd grows weak without your guidance!" I would not let him ruin my new life. "AH! A CHANGELING!" I screamed. "What!?" I heard a stallion say in the hall. The door's knob moved back and forth, but did not budge. I heard a slamming sound as someone repeatedly hit the door. He stepped forward. "What the fuck are you doing?!?" He hissed at me under his breath. I flexed the muscles in my neck, and my horn activated. He was enveloped in green energy as I slammed him into the wall. He got up from the floor and raised a hoof in his own defense. Flexing his wings, he screeched "Why are you doing this?" Just as he finished talking, a stallion in a white coat burst through the door. Egas was quick behind him, activating his horn and throwing the changeling to the floor. The stallion put a hoof to the changeling's throat and whispered: "Don't move." He didn't. After an hour, the examination room was cleaned, the changeling taken away to a prison near Canterlot, and the doctor arrived. "Please take a seat, Misses Nitiral." So that's what my last name was, Nitiral. Emmije Nitiral. I sat down on the cot provided. "Okay, I just need some blood to make sure you are healthy enough to even carry a baby, and an x - ray to see if you truly are pregnant." I allowed him to take a tube of blood, and preform x - rays. He came back after the longest thirty minutes of my life. "You are perfectly healthy, and..." "Yes?" Egas said, obviously impatient. "She is pregnant." I saw the ultrasounds. It was true. I was going to have a baby. "Yes!" My husband shrieked. He was so happy. I was happy too. And after nine months of walking, eating right, and staying healthy for the child, it was time for it to be born. I finally feared whether or not it would be a changeling. We stepped into the same doctor's office that we had been in nine months ago, and I sat on the cot, doing breathing exercises to hold the baby from birthing. The doctor came into the room, and positioned me on my back. Egas came to my side, and put his hoof in mine. I smiled at him. I then felt the baby coming. The doctor told me to push, and I did. It hurt, but I thought to myself, 'I've experienced more pain than this, I can birth this child!' The baby slid out of me with one large push, and I held him in my hooves. "What do we name him?" I looked to Egas. "What do you want to name him?" I thought for a moment. "Sage."
Growing UpView OnlineBroken LoveGrowing UpBy now it has been six more years. This facade, in total, has gone on for twelve, but I was enjoying it. I loved Egas and Sage, they were my little family, and the love they gave off was like drugs to me. Even if I didn't love them both I couldn't leave this family. Sage was still a foal, and therefore he was going to school. He even made a friend on his first day. She was a little foal named Cheerilee. I see the look in your eyes. You know this pony. She is the current Ponyville schoolteacher, all grown up. You seem to forget that with the power of love, I live forever. So it was halfway through the school year when the first ever problem with Sage arrived. A bully. Sage walked up to me, shoulders drooping, eyes on the verge of tears. I asked him who had brought on such a huge sadness, and he pointed at a colt across the yard. He was the first one in class to get his cutie mark, and he was bullying my son. I walked over to him. "Are you bullying my son?" "Whasit to you?" He replied. "You need to stop." Glaring at me, he spoke. "Why don't you make me, grandma." He said, a snide look on his face. I used my horn. He was enveloped in green energy as I threw him across the yard and into the ground. Walking up calmly, I whispered in his ear: "Stay the fuck away from my son." We never had problems with the bully again. Nothing really happened after that for a while. The bully kept his distance, and Sage and Cheerilee always played together, in my home and at her's, and in school they sat next to each other and did projects together. She was good to my son. They were an amazing pair. When he was a teenager we had a new problem. He wasn't rebellious or getting into cider and drugs and sex or anything like that, it was with the bully. I didn't know at the time, but the bully had a gang of friends, and one night they cornered my son. I just... felt like something was wrong. I left the house and followed my instincts. Bursting through some bushes, I saw a hoof hit Sage in the face. That was all the provocation I needed to do what I did. I stepped forward, my horn glowing angrily. "Oh look." The bully said. "It's Sage's mommy. Guess we better leave guys." He said jokingly. "I already warned you once." I boomed. "It's too late now." I picked up the bully and sent him flying. He slammed into a tree, which broke and fell on him. Blood sprayed from under the tree across the grass. His friends went to run. "NO YOU DON'T!" I screamed, taking hold of a tree with my powers and sending it to the ground. The only way out now was behind me, and they knew I would kill them. I shot a beam of green energy out of the tip of my horn, and it burned through one of their chests. He fell to the ground, blood leaking out of the open hole. I fired the beam again, and decapitated the final opponent. My son looked at me. He was safe, but he just... didn't trust me. "Son." I said to him. "W - what mom..." "You cannot tell a soul what happened here." I told him. "Not even Dad."
Going AwayView OnlineBroken LoveGoing AwayMy son grew up very quickly. He was ready to start his life before we knew it. He never spoke of the incident that night years ago, either because of his fear of what I could do or his love for me and thanks for what I did for him. Cheerilee decided she wanted to teach. The old teacher of the Ponyville school was very old by now, and had recently retired. Without a teacher, the school was at a standstill and the kids were all on break. My son didn't know what he wanted to do with his life, and so he decided to go to a school where he could learn about different occupations and then choose what field he wanted to work in. He would be leaving soon. Sage was my only child. I had never reproduced with another living thing before, and my son was about to go out and make something of himself. I needed to do something special for him. A party? No. That wasn't appropriate to the situation. This was a good thing, but it was a sad thing. A party implied that we were happy to get rid of him, when we really wanted to cherish the small amount of time we had left with him. It needed to be something fun and nice. So I sent my son to do an errand that was difficult and unnecessary while I made preparations for out celebration on his soon to be success. I would make him a dinner, and we would all eat it - Egas, Me, and Sage, - in the light of the setting sun, and then Sage would leave the next morning. It was a perfect plan. I visited multiple stalls, the most memorable was the Apple's stall. I had a nice conversation with Granny Smith while I was buying all the desserts and cider and apple related supplies for the dinner. "Hello dearie." She said to me as I approached. She wasn't as old as she is now. She was only about sixty or seventy. "Hello Granny Smith." I said. "I'm catching up." I referred to my "age". I had been forcing my stolen form to age so I could keep up with the charade. My body was now fifty years old. "Expect pain." She joked, wiggling her leg joint. She saw me buy some very fancy desserts. "What's the occasion, if you don't min' me askin'?" "My son. He's going away to college. I think it's somewhere in Manehattan." I told her. "Well, in that case..." She drifted off, leaning under the stall. "...you're gonna want this." She pulled out a small, cold container with an apple in it. It was an almost neon - green, and it... glowed. "This is the tastiest apple in my possession." She said. "Only once every few years does an apple this green fall from a tree." "It's- it's... beautiful!" I said. I bought my items and prepared the feast. It looked amazing, and my belly hurt thinking about eating it. I was very hungry. My son came home with the objects I had sent him to obtain, and was surprised to find a beautifully cooked dinner in front of him. Egas and I took Sage outside, and we layed on our backs, soaking in the light rays of the setting sun. "I got you something special." I said to Sage. He looked at Egas and he just shrugged. Egas never knew a thing about my plan. "It's supposed to be very tasty." I said as I lifted the apple out of it's protective container. I sliced it into three relatively equal pieces with the beam from my horn, and used magic to pass a piece to Sage and one to Egas. We looked to the stars and I looked at Sage. "I'm going to miss you." We bit into the apples, and flavor exploded around my mouth. Fireworks of sweet and sour blasted my tastebuds and I fell back, consumed in the very taste. This was the perfect way to remember my son.
Problems ArisenView OnlineBroken LoveProblems ArisenAbout five years after Sage had moved away from us, an old problem had come back. The dead bully. Although I had killed him a long time ago, and the cops had no leads at the time, modern magic had gotten better, and some hot shot officer who was originally on the case decided to reopen it after a new spell was perfected. The spell was one of many revolving around death and corpses. Some morgue worker living in a mining town had been experimenting and had perfected many a spell related to necromancy. This spell in particular allowed someone to look through the eyes of a dead pony, and experience their final hours. And the cop had used it in the Ponyville Cemetery, on the very bully who tormented my son. And obviously, the last thing he saw was a very angry me. So the police knocked on my door. And there's only two reasons for police knocking on your door in a small town. Either you're in trouble, or they think you know something. So when I looked through the peephole and saw four angry police officers, I knew I had to run. I grabbed some food, and put it in my saddlebag. I sprinted up the stairs to my bedroom and scrawled a note only Egas would understand. It said to meet me where we spent our first anniversary, on a ledge on a nearby mountain. I used my horn to open the upstairs window and slipped out. The officers below had broken down the door and were searching the house. I slid down the rafters and fell to the street, flexing my changeling wings out of the false body for the first time in twenty years. It looked so strange, a white unicorn suddenly growing dark butterfly - looking wings. I took flight and went towards the mountain. I needed to hide from the police. I landed on the ledge and found a small cave, big enough for a few ponies. I threw down my saddlebag and used it like a pillow. Now I just had to wait for Egas to show up. I waited until nightfall. I saw the officers search the town of Ponyville from my perch. They knocked on doors, flashed searchlights, and sent squads of pegasi to do fly - by's over the town to locate me. They never realized I had escaped a long time ago. Eventually I started to doubt Egas would ever come. From what the officers had most likely told him, he wouldn't want to. But like anyone would, I sugar - coated my doubts with hope. I kept telling myself that he couldn't slip out due to constant surveillance. But near midnight I hear leaves being crunched under hooves and peered out of my cave to see Egas searching the ledge. "Psst!" I whispered. "In here!" He walked into the cave and muttered something under his breath, and then his horn illuminated. "Why didn't you tell me?" He immediately interrogated. "Why would I?" I said. "I love you Egas, but how could I have known that you would forgive such horrid acts?" "Because I often fantasized doing what you did. Being a strong parent. Taking in violence as an option." "Not openly." There was a silence as he thought. "You're right." He exclaimed. "Neither of us could have known what the other was thinking." "So where do we go from here?" I asked him. He sighed and said: "I... I don't know. I'll pack our things, and call for a carriage from Canterlot. The news hasn't reached there yet. We can go somewhere and start over." "And what of Sage?" I said. "He has his own life now Emmije." He said. "He'll be in college for years, and I'm sure after that he'll start a family." "No loose ends." I said. "And a start from scratch." Egas left the cave and went back home under the cover of night. Pegasi stopped patrolling the skies and the searchlights died down. This would be old news by tomorrow. And we could start over again. Or so I hoped.
The FacadeView OnlineBroken LoveThe FacadeYou are awakened by the same guards from last night, and led back to the Queen. I am not going to narrate every single detail of my experiences with Egas to you, only the highlights. Over the course of about five years I perfected my act, and became indistinguishable from the real Emmije. The Ponyville police force looked into the death of a "mysterious mare" but never discovered who she was. I was safe. All was well, and I absorbed all of the love energy that came with Egas. Except, I fell, head over hooves, in love with him. The energy no longer mattered. I was this mare, and I loved him so. For the ten year anniversary of our marriage, he took me to Cloudsdale, and we watched the sun set while sitting upon a fluffy and comfortable cloud. He loved me, and I loved him. Is there really anything wrong with that? The Queen's eyes begin to tear up. I... I cannot do this right now. Yet again, the guards escort you away.
