Six words were said. Two hearts were broken. I never felt so much pain. I didn’t think words could scar and hurt this badly. I had to get away from this, get away from this place, from its painful memories, shattered hopes, and dead dreams. I had to escape before the looming darkness in my heart consumed my whole being. I had to find someplace away from here. Someplace where I could rebuild myself and pick up the broken pieces of my life. Somewhere I could start my whole life over again. That happened 4 years ago.
