the mirror was obtained along with scp-[—–] in the remote canadian village [———-]. the town was brought to the attention of the foundation after an obscene amount of reports of happiness. normally, the foundation would simply ignore them, but they sent an agent, almost as a joke, to the village to assess the situation. the result was disturbing. the agent questioned several residents, and it was uncovered that most of them weren't able to stop smiling, almost "like a reverse stroke". a task force was sent, and more disturbing evidence was uncovered. the civilians who've been exposed to scp-[—-] for too long, typically 4-5 years, will enter extremely painful convulsions, then drop dead within an hour, all while the smile stretches to proportions beyond human ability. the task force uncovered scp-[—-] and site-18 was built almost immediately. All [—-] residents of the town were administered class-A amnesiacs, although the smiles stayed, and reconstructive surgery was unsuccessful.
scp-[—-]s anomalous properties (aside from the smiles, which were uncovered to actually be a side affect of background radiation) make themselves known every 30 years. at exactly 2:35 pacific time, the mirror glowed bright blue for thirty seconds, before the light died down to a light shimmer. testing was due to begin, when a human girl of the age of 24 exited from the mirror. she was quickly apprehended, and interrogated.
