Nothing will work. Everything will die

The beeping sound continued. There was still a minute left. The countdown had started.

Five...

Four...

Three...

Tw-

"Hmm, Malfuntion in detail or curriculum? I swear all the bloody names have been put there.." the doctor muttered words under his breath. He tapped excessively on his clipboard. No, all calculations were correct. He hit the huge bulb shaped tube a couple times. An alarm went off.

Error.. Error.. Error...

He paused. Suddenly, the red, stoic voice of the alarm made him frantic. "Oh hell.." he muttered, pulling his hair. He settled in his seat, thinking of what to do. Nothing uttered in his brain. Perhaps a mislead in something?

"Population.. four hundred and seventy three, newborn... nine, Pregnant mares.... one," He reached out to click on a couple of keys on his computer. He angled his glasses close to the screen. Furrowing his eyebrows, he looked observantly. This part of the experiment never failed. What happened?

Error... Error... Error...

He dashed out of his office. Coming close to a metal door, he gulped. His face swelled with a small scold. The heat rushing towards his face, he came in.

When closing the door, he, not surprisingly, found a dark, drafty office room. A chair sat five feet away, ready to turn around and give a mean cackle. A very ugly cackle.

A sudden swipe from the chair made him jump. When being faced to the mare, he expected wicked eyes. Instead, he saw enlightenment. Her low, yet catching, voice rasped around until he finally heard.

"The time has finally come...."

A low growl came in her face. Her hindhoof crossed the other. "Ugh... What the hell happened now? I was thinking, brat."

Dr. Whooves sweat dripped steadily to the ground. His wings fluttered on his face, giving not much air. He coughed a bit. His voice scratchy but still understandable, "There has been an error in th-the names system. I checked twice, b-b-but not one pony has been out of place," He commented, uneasily.

"Oh Doctor. Of course I know that. And you know as well. So get the those drat Shadowbolt mutts and seek her out. Now."

"Y-Y-Y-Yes. Of course, master," he bowed down, before feeling a jolt of heat on his front hoof. He bit his tongue, not to make a cry of pain. "Go before I whip you again!!" She demanded.

"eHe ran out the metal door, leaving it slightly open. Her eyes, low and burning, stared at a guard, standing next to her. "And you! Go after him and his team of searchers. Any one of them makes a wrong move.. is to be escorted to the dungeon and executed by dawn. If there are no bodies on that bloody court, you get executed without pity."

He nodded, dashing off with fright.

"Be ready my darings, for it will not work. Nothing will work. Everything will die."
