Tyler Tosa, a violent inmate, is pardoned of his past crimes and taken by limo to meet with Princess Celestia herself. During this meeting she explains that Tyler must return to prison, or go into society and live until he is needed for a mission that will most certainly mean his demise. Tyler ultimately decides to spend his last few years with is daughter, if she'll accept him, and die a hero rather than a criminal. During these years he forms a strong bond with those around him based on forgiveness and trust, until finally, he is called to take control of an ancient sentient armor he must use to defeat an ancient evil that threatens all of Equestria.
