Twilight Sparkle is a faithful student to the princess, and she gladly accepts the challenge of recreating a lost rune described in one of Star Swirl the Bearded books. But she soon learns too late that the rune was lost for a good reason. Now seduced into darkness, Twilight begins a journey to come to terms with her new self, and hopefully try and find her old self. Along the way she has to participate in the Equestrian games hosted by Ponyville, find out what Darklight (a necromancer from the human world) wants from her, all the while trying to spend time with her lover Rainbow Dash.
