Chapter 2-Day dreaming of dapper apples
Apple jack is sleeping now dreaming of the apple trees swaying in the pleasant breeze the sun sparkling off the emerald leaves on the branches

Now as Apple Jack gets some much needed rest Apple bloom is in the living room with Granny smith and big mac all listening to the radio with much concern about what they are hearing. Radio announcer: Once again we regret to inform those of you just tuning in now that bad weather coming in from the north east threatens to tear up parts of Equestria including Canterlot and Ponyville as it passes through are fair land with wind speeds reaching up to 60 mph . When the CloudsDale weather team was asked about this hurricane coming in they stated that CloudsDale was not responsible so who or what is behind this tragic state of affairs well Ponyvilles very own princess of friendship Twilight Sparkle suggests this might be the work of an angered sea serpent using it's rage to affect the weather unfortunately the weather is not the only thing that is going to be affected by the serpents rage we will get back to you the listener later when more Information comes in until then Celestia speed equestria . AppleBloom: yeah but the only ones that could do anything about we of are the elements of harmony but that means apple jack would have to go and she is in no condition to do so . AppleJack: I am in no condition to do what now I'll be the decider of that now I know y'all have your concerns for me but there's still so much I can do and not have you treat me like a little filly who needs help with every little thing . the room is silent as the family looks at each other realizing that since applejack hurt herself they forgot how tough she really is and how stubborn she can be as well .GrannySmith: now AppleJack dear I know how much you want to do something but leave it to some pony else can you promise to do that for me and I promise not to treat you like a little filly but just remember no matter how old you or your siblings get you will always be my precious little fillies . The apple family hug each other and relax after being filled with so much tension and discomfort caused by the recent bad news.AppleBloom: Well with GrannySmith in the house Its not like we as a family never dealt with bad wind before. GrannySmith: Heh heh heh .... HEY don't talk about your elders that way . Apple Jack wakes up in her bed realizing that all she thought was real was a dream. Thinking back to when granny smith told that often a pony could dream a dream so real that a life could be lived in a matter of minutes. Apple jack wondering if it was all just a dream tries shaking her hoof to see if it was really sprained A quick sharp pain jettisons up her leg it seemed the one thing she hoped was a part of the dream was the unfortunate truth she had to bear . As Apple Jack sits up and comes to terms with her current situation she softly and slowly weeps in to the night.
Chapter 3 - one hoof infront of the other.
A month has come and gone though it took longer for apple jack to heal then originally thought the one thing that was simply not healing was her pride not being able to buck apple trees for a whole month made her feel useless. Rarity: Apple jack dear me don't you think that making up for all that lost time by working so hard may be a bit much you did just heal not to long ago and as your friends we worry you might be pushing your self to hard. Apple jack: now I appreciate the sentiment but this ere pony needs to get to work besides my hooves never felt better after healing so stop your fussing because I am fine trust me element of honesty remember. Twilight : Apple jack we know you would never lie to your friends but we feel you might be lying to your self I know what its like to lose what makes you the pony you think you are when I lost my library I felt well like there was nothing I could do because all I knew was gone but once I started to get those books from princess Celestia I felt whole again but it Did not ease the pain of losing all that I was accustomed too and making up for all this lost time I feel no we feel your denying how much sadness that has built up inside and are pretending like everything is fine when it is clearly not. Apple jack lowers her hat to hide the tears running down her face . Apple jack: Not being able to do what I was born to do was down right humiliating *sniff* and your right It did hurt and It still hurts thinking about It even now after I healed what is a pony to do when they can not do what there meant to do.
