From Human To Pony
1 - Keeping Some Sanity
Previous ChapterI didn't know what to do. Part of me wanted to run. As fast as possible. Part of me realized that I couldn't due to my four hooves. Part of me also realized that I was in the center of a dark forest, with what seamed like the sound of a wolf... except it was... Getting closer... I then fully realized my potential impending doom, and still couldn't even stand.
I mean hey, you try switching from two legs to four legs! Finally, the creatures emerged from the shadow. They were wolves, but they appeared to be made from wood... I knew there was nothing that I could do, so I closed my eyes, and waited for death's cold embrace...
I remember getting a claw to the face, but amazingly, that was all. Suddenly, a gunshot rang throughout the air, followed by another, and another. Soon enough, all the wolves were down. Another figure emerged into the clearing. It was another pony. I was so amazed at the time, I didn't even question how a pony could carry a gun. I still saw the device though...
It appeared to be a standard human-world pistol, attached to a circular slot that he fit his hoof into. Still, how did the pony fire it?
Speaking of the pony, he was evidently male. He had long black hair, though, it was in in a bun at the back. He was scowling at me. There was a long, awkward silence, until he finally spoke.
"Are you going to get up?"
He spoke with what would be considered an Australian accent back in the human world. To be honest, I didn't know
how to reply to that question, so I allowed another awkward silence.
"Can you get up?"
My brain finally managed to form a sentence.
"I... Don't think so..."
He sighed, and scowled even more.
"What are you, a new-born?"
Well, we were off to a brilliant start.
"Listen, I'm not a pony. I never was."
He stared at me with a confused look.
"I don't know how I got here. I'm a human, and now I'm here... I don't know what to do now, and I can't even stand.
There was yet another silence as the pony tried to comprehend my story.
"Is this a prank?"
"No, it's not. I swear upon my life that this is all true."
He began to contemplate, and guess what? There was another silence, until finally, he spoke.
"Okay. My name's Hunter. I don't know why I'm helping you, but I am. I suppose the gods are compelling me."
And when I heard that, I let out a huge sigh of relief.
