intro- raised by a queen of partying
2 years earlier.
I fall into ponyville...all I can remember from the last week was flames, cold, and hunger. I know I am running from my problem and I don't want to speak to anyone...I have five bits to my name and I need food. I can’t help but catch the scent of sweets on the air, I don't care I need something in my belly...NOW! I waltz through a pair of doors to see a Brightly Colored Pink mare. She looks at me for a split second before she bounds over the table and picks me up into a spinning hug saying "Oh you must be new to ponyville I know everyone in ponyville but I don't know you"
"..."
"Well I’m pinkie pie, where do you live? Want a cupcake?"
Who is this pink blur of energy? Can she be trusted? Yes why do you think I came in this bloody store? All run through my head as she shouts out her questions to me while holding me in a rib crushing hug. I just nod my head at her.
She just grins at me and leaps back over the counter. Wait did she just drop me? As I realize this horrible thing. I am immediately picked back up before I even hit the ground and I have a very delicious muffin shoved into my mouth. I tastes like heaven in a muffin. She whispers too me "it’s my favorite muffin but don’t tell derby, I don’t sell them and yes you can trust me."
I start to cry like a little filly as I unload a portion of my last week...which is how my parents are no more, and how I have been walking for three days to find someplace that feels like it could be home considering I don’t feel safe in my home town anymore and how I just miss them so much.
She just slowly smiles at me with a sad vibe coming off her...and she says "well I have some friends who could probably help you...I know everyone in ponyville and there all good people."
I stare at her long and hard. Do I put my faith in the first bright person I have ever met...well at least after my world suddenly went dark. I was half paying attention after while thinking and I heard her say "Well I’m going to watch out for you as long as you’re in ponyville and I know how to keep you in ponyville."
1 year later
I have been staying in a little home of my own on the outskirts of sweet apple acres. Pinkie Pie truly held through on her threat of keeping me in ponyville. She first threw me a party, and at the party she set up on her own in an hour, found out my birthday had recently past, and she introduced me to the apples, asked if she could use an old tool shed and convert it into a small house for me so I would have a place to stay. Two months after the party she was like a big sister to me...she would visit me every day, check on my school work, and I found myself admiring her. I wanted to emulate her to the point where the other students in my class penned the neon blue colt with the cobalt blue mane as a class clown. I had top marks but I would do things like juggle my books when the teacher wasn't looking for a laugh...pinkie didn't like the fact that I was getting into trouble...especially before I told her the teacher wanted to see her I told her what I did and she grinned. I was so happy I made my adopted sister smile...until she went and told me I had to learn when and where to be funny. But that was a few weeks ago...and I couldn't do anything for two weeks.
*a week into my grounding and a week before my birthday*
So a week down without any books, I can’t believe she got big mac to in my grounding, she even got the new librarian to not let me check out any books. And no sweets from anybody...I can’t forget pinkie has this much power in town. I hope my sister will let me out for my birthday...I have a surprise that I started to work on for her that I wanna show her on my birthday, I can’t wait.
*my birthday*
I haven’t seen pinkie pie all day I know she wouldn't forget my birthday...she doesn't forget anyone's birthday, I know I’m grounded in the loosest set of the phrase but why I haven't I seen her at all today? I hope she knows I’m just glad to have her as my sister.
So today at school the cutie mark crusaders have been giggling in my direction all day like they know something’s up. I wish they would tell me...they know I don't like being out of the loop with a group of people I would like to consider my friends, especially applebloom. Me and her had a mini study group in my house once a week and thanks to my big sister I had an okay cooking skill...so we would have good snacks.
After school I ran to find pinkie, I couldn't find her but I’d see flashes of her tail and then a quick giggle. I feel like she was leading me all around town and I kept seeing other ponies quickly hide...like a giant game of hide and go seek but I wasn't liking it....it was like when the fire happened I couldn't find anyone but it also seemed like someone was just out of reach. I reached town square and saw the fountain and I skidded into it. As my knees hit the fountain I fell in already feeling the fear finally set in and me starting to cry.
I pulled my face out of the water and looked forward to see pinkie standing thigh deep in the water with a frown on her face...sis should never frown, she gets scary when her hair deflates. "I'm sorry. I forgot...cheer up no tears on your birthday. Let’s go get you a cupcake."
I immediately jumped into one of pinkie pie's patented hugs and asked "please just don't play around just outside of my reach. Hide and go seek is ok when I know were playing sis...just promise to remember" she went through a series of motions very familiar between us and she said "I'll do you one better."
We got to Sugarcube Corner...and it looked like normal...and if I know my sister I can’t trust her...especially on birthday parties. she stood just behind me as I walked through the doors...and then pinkie tackles me from the front back out the door yelling happy birthday, I look back to where she was standing and a strong wind blows over the cardboard cutout. I love my sister and her odd brand of magic...now that she got her birthday shot off we both really walked in together a huge grin on my face, I could already make out the main people I deal with around town...the cmc, spike, big mac, twilight sparkle, applejack, fluttershy, rainbowdash, and rarity...a few other class mates but I only really cared about the three fillies I called good friends, my sister and her best friends. Spike is awesome to talk too sometimes...I guess.
As the party went on I brought out the surprise I wanted to show pinkie...it was my own modification on what I think her party cannon should be. I call mine a Prank Turret...it can fire on anyone with a little bit of my magic to put into it and I was going to hit pinkie with a pie...cherry cream to be precise I wanted to see her grin. as I used my magic to take aim from where I placed it, I thought back to her special muffin the one she gave me that first day...so I ran to her secret stash of snacks to see if I could shoot one at her instead, I just couldn’t find one. So I used the ingredients loaded them instead and then I shot via my magic.
As the Turret fired my hip lit up and I had my cutie mark...pinkie looked right at me noticing the light but not the fully materialized pie flavored to taste like her muffin, it covered her as I squid. I didn't care that I had my cutie mark in that second I pranked the greatest prankster....I got my sister!!! She sprinted over to me covered in the mess and she picked me up squeezing herself yelling "so what’s the cutie mark spaz, what it is?"
I lowered my jeans off my hip in front of everyone to reveal a Jesters cap of gold and purple with a set of green crosshairs over it. I then looked pinkie in the eye and said "I'm a Joker like my big sister!"

chapter 1 - a day in the life
Pinkie lowered me to the ground with one of the largest grins on her that i have ever seen. "so when are we going to throw your I just got my Cutie Mark party." I was visibly stunned that she was already on the move to throwing me a party even though she still hadn't gotten the cake off of her face. This is why I loved Pinkie, she is just so random.
*Current Time*
Apple Bloom came barging in through my front door to see me and my friend Night Fall just hanging out. He was reading a book of legends like the creation of snowflakes. Night Fall was a dark grey colt with golden eyes and his hair was black with red stripes throughout it. I was working on the Prank Turret 2.0, face first in the blue prints with designs, pens, and books scattered around me with a huge grin crossing my face that within the last year has apparently been learned that is a sign of warning to anyone of the people that I care about. Apple Bloom finally taking in the surroundings of the room "Ay Spaz, Night...mah cousin will be visitin in a month"
Night had a forlorn look on his face as he pulled away from the book and said "Hi Apple Bloom. which cousin?"
I was still to enthralled with my plans for my upgrade now that i had a literal more grasp on my levitation magic...maybe I would be able to make it float around me with the power of minimal magic. Apple Bloom looks at Night and says "Its the one from Mane Hatten! and i'm so excited i cant wait"
I finally look up knowing my face is probably covered in ink of some sort hopefully invisible and ask "So street apple? no wait...Big Apple? Is it one of them?"
"Spaz, Why do ya have to be so saracstic? can't y'all ever just be staight with me."
I had to look at her long and hard as I stood up and shook myself off. "Fine...I'm Glad you came over to visit me on this fine day and I hope I can make your visit the greatest you have ever had. Until your cousin's arrival Night Fall and I shall be making a huge red carpet to lay out from the train station to Sweet Apple Acres just so she shall feel like this is a new home for her." Night just glared at me like I had just insulted all that he stood for...but Apple Blooms response threw me off
"Let's go tell Pinkie Pie and Apple Jack you said that."
Night kinda shuffled his feet as he set his book down on my table "Apple Bloom please don't do that...I really don't want to start making a red silk carpet for the next week. AND SPAZ STOP BEING A DICK!"
"Well tell my would be sister to knock! I understand I live on the outskirts of there farm but isn't this my own building."
She looked taken aback at what I just said as she screamed at me "You didn't hear me knock'n because of y'all always being so into your plans!" Then she grabbed up my next prank idea which involved one of our friends. He worked for sweet apple acres...all year round unlike me. I just work in the busy seasons and the rest of the year I try to convince the joke shop to hire me. "And I can't believe you wanna prank him...of all people!"
I had already kinda tossed that prank idea out of the window...to many problems for it to work and i was about to explain that to Bloom when she got in my face and tried to stare me down. "Bloom...you know Pinkie's rules I can prank anyone as long as they have had there welcome party AND are not named Flutter Shy." Pinkie had once made it painfully obvious that if i pranked Flutter Shy I would be in a whole heap of trouble....I once came close to pranking Flutter Shy because she walked into the trap I had set for someone else. Its when i found out hidden spring traps don't work that well but having a sister has her own balloon will save lives.
Apple Bloom did not look pleased at the fact that I felt totally just shot down her argument. "Well I'll tell Applejack!"
"GO AHEAD!! I'll have Night Fall sell tickets!"
Apple Bloom started to pout knowing she had lost...but I was still surprised that she had not called my bluff. I may not fear Apple Jack don't get me wrong I totally respect her but I do fear Big Mac. He was the one who kept me in check yeah he let me do anything I'd want until Apple Jack or Pinkie told him I was in Trouble then I would be on lock-down. I still think Pinkie showed him her secrets to moving so fast cause how else could he do all his work and keep me from leaving my house to go to town until Pinkie came to visit me...for three days! An entire weekend Too!
Apple Bloom finally huffed and walked out. I so owe her an apology later but you would think she would know when I get pulled away from something I'm cranky. Night was staring at me like I just stabbed him. "What Night?" he slowly raised his arm and pointed to my door way. There stood a giant of a man, red as the apples he picked all day. Oh hell is all i can think...as night jumps out a window and I can hear him running away.
"I'm in deep trouble aren't I?"
"EEYUP!"
'Wait for Pinkie?"
"Eeyup."
"Silence?"
"Eeyup."
"Is it over my argument with Apple Bloom?"
Big Mac stood there and he just looked at me. he didn't nod he didn't shake his head just stood there like a wall or a golem of unending power. "Come on Big Mac you know you want to give me a huge speech. Come on big bro...what did I do? yell at me."
"Nope" damn. I have had long heart to hearts with Big Mac but whenever he was mad or acting mad he would be a total wall of unreadable unless he was mad directly at you. which lucky for me has never happened.
The mood had been shot which is why i started to dissemble my other turret ready to build the upgrade just as i got a familiar warm hug. Pinkie my sister had walked in and immediately showed she cared like she always does but then "So Spaz i hear your working on a new prank for Big Mac's assitant! What is it?"
"Its nothing yet, give me a week and ill have something spectacular!"
"Well I have been asked to stop all pranking on the farm for three weeks. A new filly is coming into town and she has been being picked on so be nice!" I just nodded cause I learned a while ago when Pinkie said no pranking she meant it. "So who is the new girl?" big mac then chimed in "Babs will be here in one week"
Babs huh...i hope she is cool.
