"A party?" Tiberius said trying to register what was happening.

"Yeah, a party to welcome you to pony, because when I saw you I knew you were new to Ponyville, So that's why I went *gasp* because if you're new then I have to throw a welcome party...." the pink mare spoke at a speed that neither Tiberius nor Markus could catch up with. She continued to talk until a familiar orange earthpony shoved a cupcake into her mouth.

"Thanks," Tiberius said turning to Applejack, "I don't know how much of that I could've handled."

"No problem sugarcube" Applejack replied.

"Is she always like this?" Markus asked.

"Eeyup."

"Does she allways throw parties to newcomers?" Tiberius asked.

"She sure does, Whenever there's a new face in Ponyville, Pinkie Pie will always get a party ready, She even threw a party for Twilight when she got here." Applejack said. Now Tiberius knew the name of the pink pony.

"Is Pinkie a friend of yours?" Tiberius asked. considering the fact that the other two mare's were friends with the princess and one another.

"Yes, She can come off as a bit weird from time to time, but she's a good pony." Applejack said taking a swing of her drink.

"Okay, say, does Princess Twilight come to these parties by any chance?" Tiberius asked thinking that maybe he could meet with her here and finally introduce himself to her.

"Of course she does sugarcube, she's over there" Applejack said pointing toward the snack table. Tiberius thanked Applejack and told Markus to go and mingle while he walked up to the pony he was directed to. As he came closer he noted the princess' appearance. She was an alicorn much like Celestia. She her coat was lavender colored, she had a dark blue mane and tail which had a pink and purple streak through them. she wore a dark purple Tee shirt with holes in the back for her wings, and a pair of jeans.

"Hello, you must be Princess Twilight Sparkle." Tiberius said as he walked up to her.

"Oh, um yes, though you don't have to call me that." Twilight said to Tiberius.
Twilight's POV

Twilight was a little startled when this guy showed up next to her. When she turned around she was face to face with a human. He looked to be the same age as her, probably in his early 20's, his dark brown hair was just long enough that it covered most of his ears. He was apparently a roman judging by the blue on white toga and leather sandals he wore as well as the light tan he had. "So you don't want to be referred to by your title?" the roman said.

"Yeah, I'm just not used to it yet" Twilight responded. "You haven't told me who you are"

"Oh that's right," the roman said, "I am Tiberius Horatius Nero, the roman representative assigned to you." At this Twilight remembered that her former mentor sent a letter to her about Rome sending a new ambassador.
Markus' POV

Markus was walking past several ponies and some humans who moved to Equestria. However, Markus had Rainbow Dash on his mind all day. He turned to his left and he saw Tiberius talking to who he assumed was Princess Twilight. "Hey." Someone said behind him, When Markus turned around he saw Rainbow Dash staring back at him. "Enjoying yourself?" Rainbow Dash said as he hovered next to Markus.

"Yeah, to be honest I never expected a party for me and the ambassador just for showing up." Markus said half jokingly.

"Don't worry, everypony gets one." Rainbow Dash said. Soon the party got into full swing.
Tiberius' POV

Tiberius had a great conversation with Twilight, he found out that both of them had the same interest in reading and knowledge and that they are the same age. He also discovered that her older brother and sister-in-law were on the coalition supreme council. He was sure that his job would now go a lot smoother now that he was friends with her.
