Rainbow's Curse
Chapter Fourteen: The Stunning Conclusion
Previous ChapterNext Chapter“Alright, miss, you’re free to go,” one of the prison guards said, sliding the gate open to let Twilight out. It had been about an hour since she was locked up, so Twilight hadn’t needed the bathroom just yet, and her pacing hadn’t quite started to wear a groove in the floor. “Since you offered to pay for the damages, the shop owner isn’t pressing any charges. Just make sure to show up and pay your fine.”
Glad that this plot thread hadn’t gone on any longer, Twilight quickly nodded and turned from her pacing to waddle towards the opened gate. She hadn’t just been pacing to think: It had been a lot of good practice walking with a bulky diaper on. In fact, if it weren’t for the incredibly visible diaper taped around her waist, you’d barely be able to tell there was anything upsetting her stride. She hadn’t wanted to keep wearing her diaper when she got locked up, but since the package with the rest had been locked up in evidence and she didn’t want to try heading back to the store, she hadn’t had much choice.
All that aside, though, she was out of prison and back on her way towards saving Rainbow Dash.
…
Humming happily, Trixie was surprised that she felt almost… giddy. It had been years since she felt so excited about something. In hours, maybe even less time, Twilight would be there, pre-packaged and all ready for The Great and Powerful Trixie’s revenge. Finally, after all the buildup, practice, experimentation, and effort put into this setup, she’d finally get back at the upstart Twilight Sparkle for ruining her career.
Peeking in at Rainbow Dash, snoozing in her crib, not concerned in the slightest about the overfull diaper taped around the her waist, Trixie smiled. Sure, it wasn’t ideal that she’d have to take care of two captives, but at least Twilight would have a playmate in her humiliation. Closing the door before the light woke Rainbow up, Trixie headed back to her lab to clean up and make sure everything was in order.
…
“Wha-?” Rainbow Dash mumbled, peeking awake as she heard a door closing. Wrinkling her nose, she glanced between her legs and saw her diaper, feeling a mixed tingling of pleasure and discomfort as she realized with some horror that diaper rash was setting in.
Glancing up at the ceiling, something incredible caught her eye. The foal mobile hanging above the crib was almost… hypnoti…
Zzzzzzzzzzzz….
…
KNOCK. KNOCK. KNOCK.
…
“Well, let’s get to the bottom of this,” Twilight muttered.
I wonder who’s inside?
…
“Excellent,” Trixie said. “Twilight is here.”
…
Glancing around anxiously, Twilight snapped her head back to the door as she heard the door’s deadbolt flick. The hinges barely made a sound as the door swung open, revealing none other than Trixie, the Great and Powerful.
“Trixie?” Twilight said, before a few things clicked into place and her brain caught up. “Where is Rainbow Dash?”
Smirking wickedly, Trixie said, “Oh, Rainbow Splash is fine,” she said, using her showpony’s voice. “Come inside Twilight Sparkle.”
“... Splash?” Twilight asked, tilting her head.
Pausing, Trixie sighed in exasperation. “It’s a pun. You see, she- Never mind.” Her horn glowed for a moment and she yanked Twilight inside, slamming the door.
“Hey!” Twilight yelped, getting her hooves and following after Trixie. If push came to shove, she was the stronger unicorn, so as long as she found Rainbow Dash she could grab her and get them both out of there pretty easily. That meant she had to find Rainbow Dash first, which apparently meant playing along for a moment. “What’s this about, Trixie?”
“Trixie will explain!” Trixie assured her, “But first, we should wake up Rainbow Splash. I’m sure she’ll be glad to see you.”
…
Yawning, Rainbow Dash stretched her forelegs as she heard a creaky door swing open, and though she didn’t remember to glance away from the mobile in her crib, she realized after a second that it wasn’t spinning any longer, and as such she didn’t fall back asleep as soon as she saw it.
Seeing a couple fuzzy figures in the doorway, she blinked a couple times and her vision came back into focus. There was Trixie in full cape and regalia, and next to her, wrinkling her nose and looking a little shocked…
“Twiwai?” Rainbow asked, wiping off a little of the drool that had collected around her pacifier. “Twiwigh!” It was definitely her! “Gemma oudda hewe!”
Twilight started to get a teleportation spell ready, planning on grabbing Rainbow Dash and blinking out of there. They could come back to deal with Trixie later.
“Not so fast,” Trixie warned, quickly. “Before you do anything more stupid than usual, teleportation spells won’t get you outside this house.Trixie has made sure of it. You can move around inside the house, but no pony will be getting out of here without my permission.”
“Wow, really?” Twilight asked, raising her eyebrows. “That’s high-level magic! How did you do it? I mean, I’ve read theory, but…” Shaking her head, she got her sights back on the task at hand. Wheeling on Trixie, her horn started to glow and she planted her hooves aggressively. “Let her out of the crib, and undo whatever you did to her.”
“Trixie might do the first thing,” The Great and Powerful Trixie said, shaking her head. “But I can’t undo the other effects, even if I wanted to.”
Narrowing her eyes, Twilight said, “I’m taking Rainbow Dash out of here and figuring out how to reverse it myself, then.”
Trixie shook her head, grinning at Twilight’s apparent resistance. “You can try,” she said. “But Trixie has gotten stronger, and you’re not getting out of here without going through me.”
Rolling her eyes, Twilight started working on a spell that would daze Trixie for a few seconds. It wasn’t anything major, seeing as Twilight didn’t know much about using magic for violent purposes, but it would be plenty to give her time to leave with Rainbow Dash. In case Trixie could use some kind of counterspell, Twilight poured a lot of power into the spell, cranking it up to eleven and throwing all her weight behind it to make sure it got through. It took a few seconds to build up the spell, but she figured that the extra force behind the magic would be worth the loss of surprise.
Blasting Trixie with the spell, though, Trixie simply flicked her horn and a gout of black energy blocked Twilight’s own spell with what looked like almost no effort.
“Is that all Twilight has to offer?” Trixie asked, smirking. “If you’re done wasting our time, then-” Twilight threw another spell, trying to hit Trixie quickly and keep her from preparing a spell. Again, Trixie barely seemed to notice except for the flicker of black energy on her own horn. Trying a different spell, the same result. “I’ve seen magic kindergarteners cast tougher spells. Is that really all-” Twilight tried a third spell, again to no avail. “This is just embarrassing for you, isn’t it? Well, if you’re done-” She caught Twilight’s flimsy attempt at a right hook with a little more magic, and then finally her own horn seemed to glow with a little effort as she slammed some kind of spell at Twilight.
…
Rainbow Dash yelped and ducked as the wooden bars of her crib were knocked out of their socket and a few cracked inward as they were smashed by a flying Twilight Sparkle, who then hit the bars on the other side of the crib and came to a stop, landing at Rainbow’s feet. Seeing an opportunity, Rainbow tried to lunge at Trixie over the splintered bars of the crib, only to find herself stopped in place despite the lack of physical barrier.
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” Rainbow whined, as Twilight groaned and sat up.
“Are you done?” Trixie asked her, mostly ignoring Rainbow Dash for the moment as she stalked up to the crib. Snapping the latch on the crib open, she pulled Twilight bodily out with a yank and said, “Trixie isn’t even winded. If you don’t stop making a fuss, I’ll take it out on Rainbow Dash.”
“C’mon, Twiwi!” Rainbow Dash started, trying to encourage her friend, until she heard Trixie’s last comment. “Youc’n win! Don’… Uh, wai’, no- Do wha’twicksie says!”
“Yes, do what Trixie says,” Trixie added, as Twilight blinked a couple times and finally snapped out of her daze, sitting up and shaking her head to clear it. “Just sit there, and don’t try and leave the crib until Trixie says it’s alright. Do you understand?”
“H-how?” Twilight asked, her voice sounding a little weak and shaky. She started to move to get up, but Rainbow Dash quickly sat up and put a hoof in front of Twilight, not wanting either of them to incur Trixie’s anger.
“The Great and Powerful Trixie has no need to answer your questions,” Trixie said, eyes narrowing. “She thinks that Twilight need a lesson about who’s in charge here. And, as it happens, Rainbow Splash needs to be changed before she makes the whole house reek like she does.” As she spoke, she slid a stool over and sat down, and then turned her horn to another task.
“Huh?” Rainbow Dash mumbled, realizing that she was being referred to again, but before she could protest any further she felt a sharp yank on her tail as Trixie grabbed her with magic and drug her out of the crib. There came a splurchy noise from the seat of her diaper, as well as a little crinkle as the diaper shifted, but it was so full that the extra mass barely made things any worse. “Pumme dow’!” She yelped.
To Rainbow’s surprise, Trixie did exactly what she asked, cutting out the magic and letting Rainbow fall down. Sure, it landed her straight on Trixie’s lap, but the surprising timing of the release still gave Rainbow Dash the slightest glimmer of hope that Trixie was showing mercy… At least until she realized it had just been a coincidence.
“Now,” Trixie said, looking at Twilight and barely paying attention to Rainbow Dash as she grabbed a wooden paddle from the corner of the room and brought it over with magic. “Normally Trixie would prefer to keep Rainbow Splash sucking on her pacifier all the time so I wouldn’t have to hear her mewling, but just now it will serve the demonstration to hear her pathetic crying.”
Rainbow Dash clenched her teeth as she felt the pacifier removed from her mouth, noting her tongue going suddenly dry and feeling immediately parched. She knew what was coming next, and it wasn’t going to be fun.
“Stop!” Twilight said, wanting to save Rainbow Dash from the inevitable. She started to take a step forward, to get out of the crib she had landed in, but with a slight twitch of her horn Trixie brought up a translucent wall of magic that kept Twilight trapped.
“Interfere, and Trixie will only make it worse for your pathetic little ‘friend’,” Trixie promised, smirking at Twilight as the purple unicorn tried to get past the magical wall keeping her trapped.
Twilight gritted her teeth, already preparing a spell to try and get past the barrier, but she saw the fear in Rainbow Dash’s eyes and sat back, sitting on her haunches and trying to come up with a plan as she watched what happened.
At first, when Trixie flipped up the pink skirt and brought the wooden paddle down on Rainbow Dash’s diapered backside, not much happened. Rainbow Dash squeaked a little bit, but she seemed more embarrassed than in pain. The diaper taped around her flanks looked to be putting strain on the plastic plants, but it was made from thick, absorbent padding and it was full enough that, as loud and quick as the smacks against it were, a lot of the force seemed to be absorbed and the final result of the blow was something far less painful than it would have been otherwise. Absently keeping count of the spanks, Twilight watched with mixed fear and sympathy for her friend.
The spanks went on, though, and by the fifteenth spank things were starting to look bad. With each smack, the diaper was repeatedly smushed up against Rainbow’s behind, shifting the mushy contents out of the way and wearing away at Rainbow’s meager protection. At the same time, the repeated blows were clearly wearing away at Rainbow’s natural pain tolerance, and at twenty three spanks Rainbow let out a genuine whimper of pain, biting her lower lip and blinking to keep her eyes from getting too watery. Twilight wanted to take a step forward and intervene, but she held herself back, remembering that without a plan and without some kind of secret weapon, she’d be as helpless as before. Trixie’s magic was too powerful to go up against head-to-head, and if she couldn’t teleport out of the house to escape… This could be looking bad.
Twenty nine spanks in, and Rainbow Dash let out her first genuine sob of pain, a single tear running down her cheek. At thirty two spanks, the second tear escaped, and at thirty three spanks Rainbow was no longer able to keep from breaking out into loud, infantile sobs. Kicking out her hind legs and flailing them helplessly, Rainbow Dash started bawling at the top of her lungs, the tears which had pooled in her eyes flooding across her face and dripping onto the floor.
Twilight only then realized that Trixie hadn’t so much as looked at Rainbow Dash this whole time, instead preferring to watch her other captive’s face for reactions. She gulped, trying to ignore the shrill bawling that was echoing in the room.
At fifty spanks, the plastic pants finally gave way, snaps breaking on the side and falling out of the way. The diaper beneath sagged even further, drooping well below Rainbow’s knees. That was the tipping point for Twilight, and without considering what had just happened, she got to her hooves within the crib.
“Stop!” She announced, boldly getting to her hooves, making both Trixie and Rainbow freeze and look up at her. “Let her go!”
Raising an eyebrow, Trixie smirked. “Trixie can’t have heard that right. Did Twilight Sparkle ask to have me let Rainbow Splash go… Now?”
“No, do-mmmph!” Rainbow Dash started, before the pacifier was jammed back into her mouth and gagging her words.
Realizing that something was up, Twilight had to review what she knew of what was happening. It only took her a second to remember everything else about spankings in the past, and that the spanking had been necessary to get Rainbow’s diaper changed. If Trixie let her go now, it’d just mean that Rainbow would need another spanking to get cleaned up.
Eyes widening, Twilight quickly said, “No! Don’t- I didn’t mean-” She stammered, trying to figure out what to say to recover from her lapse in judgement.
Rolling her eyes, Trixie said, “The Great and Powerful Trixie doesn’t care to give Rainbow Splash another spanking, so I will ignore your foolish mewlings for now.” Pushing Rainbow off her lap and letting Rainbow tumble to the floor, she gingerly picked up the plastic pants with her magic, wrinkled up her nose, and said, “So long as somepony stays in the room with her, she won’t need another spanking to get her filthy diaper changed. Until these,” she gestured to the plastic pants, “Get put back on, though, she’ll need someone with her. I suggest you don’t leave, for your ‘friend’s’ sake.” And, without waiting for any responses, she turned on her hooves and strode out the door.
…
Rainbow Dash lay whimpering on the ground as she heard the door slam, feeling very little except the most basic of emotions. Pain, humiliation… Other things, things that she didn’t want to try acting on at the moment. She was distantly aware of Twilight’s presence in the room, but her eyes were so blurry with tears that she couldn’t really see her. She squeezed her hind legs together a bit, feeling her diaper mush and shivering with the little tingle of pleasure that came through in spite of the searing, burning swath of discomfort that her flanks had become.
That one spot of pleasure between all the pain became something to focus on, even as she whimpered on the floor. Previously her spankings had all been followed by immediate cleanup, and the relatively soothing comfort of feeling clean, and then having the numbness of a clean diaper help dull whatever pain was left. Now, though, she was left effectively alone, and with nopony to deal with her dirty diaper, and having been prevented for too long from being able to act on her baser urges.
Feeling a hoof drift down between her legs, she started rubbing at the crotch of the diaper, moaning with pleasure.
…
“Thank goodness she’s gone…” Twilight said, waiting until she was sure that Trixie wasn’t just about to poke her head through the door the moment that everything had settled. Hearing a moan from the ground, she had a sudden fear that Rainbow had been hurt more seriously than it appears and, looking down from over the remaining bars of the crib, she saw her friend on the ground, lying on her back, eyes watery and half-shut, her back arched… Her hoof… between… her legs.
She couldn’t be, right? Twilight asked herself, taking a half-hoofstep forward and bumping against the magical barrier that Trixie had left. Without anypony keeping the spell together, the shield would dissipate quickly, but for the moment Twilight just leaned up against it, muzzle pressed up flat against it like a glass barrier at a candy store. She wasn’t entirely sure that she was seeing what she was seeing. Rainbow was probably in a lot of pain from her ordeal, and not in a clear state of mind, and…
“MmmMMMM,” Rainbow Dash moaned into her pacifier, stroking her hoof up and down a particularly lumpy section of the ruined and saggy diaper, back arching in pleasure. Mouth closed around the pacifier, she made another less distinct sound of pleasure then, inhaling quickly through her nostrils as she closed her legs a bit.
“R-rainbow Dash?” Twilight asked, confused, her cheeks turning pink with embarrassment as she watched. She wasn’t sure what to do here. It wouldn’t be that hard to get through the magical barrier and intervene, but without information she wasn’t sure if that would help. This could easily be some new part of the curse, and maybe Rainbow Dash had no choice if she wanted to get cleaned up.
As Twilight pondered this, she watched with a strange turmoil of emotions, (with horror and fascination being the two competing for the top ranking,) as Rainbow reached with her free hoof to the seat up the diaper, pulling it up so that the bulk of the mess which had been smooshed away from between her legs could be moved into a more intimate position.
Finally realizing that maybe it was inappropriate to stare as her friend was pleasuring herself on the floor, Twilight turned away, staring instead at the wallpaper decorated with teddy bears and foal rattles.
“MMM!” Rainbow Dash moaned, before letting out a series of short and breathy grunts. Curiosity getting the better of her, Twilight glanced over her shoulder to take a peek, seeing her friendly neighborhood Rainbow Dash shifting her weight up and down on the diaper so that its contents squished up against her in a rhythmic fashion.
Blushing again, Twilight decided that maybe she should intervene. Quickly giving the magical barrier a once-over, she ignored the moans coming from Rainbow as she whipped together a counterspell, tearing down the translucent wall and stumbling out of the crib, towards Rainbow Dash.
Just as she was about to speak, though, Rainbow suddenly went stiff, letting out the loudest groan yet and arching her back enough that the seat of her drooping diaper almost lifted off the ground. She stayed like that for several seconds, body bent in apparent ecstasy, before going limp and slumping to the floor.
Twilight shirked back, waiting a few seconds before she quietly asked…
…
“Rainbow Dash?”
Rainbow had been lying on the ground in post-coital ecstasy, taking a few seconds to forget about all her worries and troubles, and then she heard Twilight’s voice and her eyes shot open, pupils growing extremely small.
Voice cracking, she quietly mumbled. “Pweath teww me you didn’ juth thee dat...”
“I… did,” Twilight said, pulling the pacifier from Rainbow’s mouth with a short wave of her horn, and Rainbow Dash felt her heart sink down somewhere into the pit of her stomach.
“I… It was the curse!” She said quickly. “It… Did… stuff?”
Shaking her head, Twilight said, “It’s fine, let’s just get you cleaned up and figure out a way to escape, okay?”
“R-right,” Rainbow said, feeling her face grow more red than her mane. The red parts of her mane, at least. Not the blue parts. Then, noticing something that had slipped past her awareness until then, she raised an eyebrow and asked, “Uh, why are you wearing a diaper?” Then, eyes going wide with worry, she asked, “Trixie didn’t curse you, did she?”
Twilight was quick to dismiss the worry, saying, “No, she just told me to wear one when I showed up, or she’d... “ Clearing her throat, she cut herself off. “It’s complicated. Can you climb up on the changing table?”
Rainbow was eager enough to get all cleaned up and obeyed quickly, struggling a bit to lift herself onto the table with the extra weight dragging her down, but that didn’t quite distract from Twilight’s comment. “Or she’d what?”
“She… Had some pictures of you,” Twilight admitted, as she grabbed a diaper from the stack on the changing table, opened the box of wipes, and then popped the tapes off of Rainbow’s diaper. “Well… A lot of pictures.”
Rainbow’s pupils shrank, and she swallowed on a dry mouth. She made a choking noise as she started to ask a question, feeling sweat start to form on her brow.
“Don’t worry, she won’t get to show them to anyone else,” Twilight said, wrinkling up her nose and muzzle at the smell of the untaped diaper. “We will figure out a way to get out of here and stop her.” Horn glowing, she started the wiping-up process, her usual efficiency only slightly hampered by the scale of the mess she was dealing with.
“Right…” Rainbow Dash mumbled, sounding less than convinced. Then, noticing Twilight’s frown, she asked, “What’s wrong?”
Twilight furrowed her brow, glancing to the side and then shaking her head. “Your diaper rash is looking pretty bad, Rainbow. There’s no rash cream here, but we’ll need to do something about it as soon as we get you out of here or else you could have some serious long-term damage.”
“Oh,” Rainbow said, not exactly sure how to respond to that. “And if we don’t?”
Twilight thought for a second. “Well, if we don’t deal with it, you could start experiencing serious pain, and may even need skin grafts if it gets too bad, though-”
“No, I mean, if we don’t get out of here?” Rainbow Dash asked.
They were both quiet for a moment, and the room was almost entirely silent save for the slight crinkling of a fresh diaper as Twilight unfolded it. Rainbow lifted up her behind automatically so that Twilight could slide it under her, pulling her tail through the small hole for it and then taping it up securely.
Nodding at a job well done, Twilight said, “We’ll get that diaper cover thing-”
“Plastic pants,” Rainbow supplied.
“We’ll get the plastic pants on that so we won’t have to clean you up again as soon as Trixie comes back,” Twilight finished.
…
Muahahahah! Finally, Trixie will have her revenge on the evil, scheming Twilight Sparkle for what she did to me.
Trixie grinned to herself, horn glowing brightly as she mixed together her pick-me-up potion. The battle with Twilight had taken a lot more out of her magical reserves than she would admit, and without a power boost to keep her going, another battle might leave her too drained to keep up the high level magic she had been impressing Twilight Sparkle with. She barely needed the book for reference anymore, but just to make sure she had everything in proper order she withdrew the book, distinguished by the five-pointed pentagram inscribed within a simple circle on the cover, and the title, ‘Tenebris Potum Vindictae’.
Flipping to the index page, she skipped past the warning at the top of the page, found the right recipe, and flipped to the potion recipe she’d been using for some time now to enhance her magic.
Reading the recipe aloud without thinking, she mumbled it and mixed the recipe. “Warning, this potion may cause… hmm… Wild mood swings, et cetera, loss of judgement, blah blah… Do not take regularly, or… Yada yada yada… great peril… Who even reads these things? Wait, here we go, ingredients. The juice of a sour lemon, got it, two drops spoiled milk…”
As she rattled off the ingredients, she pulled them over with magic and dumped each into a small cauldron, mixing each over a light simmer, before finally adding the touch of magic needed to finish the magical beverage and straining it into a mug she had on standby for just such an occasion.
Sipping the potion, she felt the magic returning to her, along with fresh thoughts of anger and frustration towards Twilight Sparkle, and her little friends.
I come in to town to put on a magic show for them, and what do they do? They jeer, they mock, they try and ruin my show.
Trixie had dealt with hecklers before, but this was a special case. Normally she’d shut one down with a bit of an embarrassing show for them, keep the crowd smiling, and anypony else who had been considering throwing a wrench in her show would get the message that it was a bad idea.
Not these Ponyville jerks, though. They had to keep coming, keep trying to ruin the show for everypony else. Why couldn’t they leave well enough alone? And then Twilight Sparkle had to go and ruin me for good, making sure nopony else would take my show seriously again. Well, we’ll see how she likes being the laughingstock of the town for a change. And once this goes well, Trixie can see about gathering the rest of her friends for a little lesson, too. I’ve already got two of them, so why not all six?
Finishing the rest of her potion, she got out the black sludge-filled baby bottle. The potion. The potion for Twilight. The potion chosen specifically to curse Twilight. Twilight’s potion. She wanted it out and ready, so she set it on the countertop for easy retrieval, dusted off her cape, and started trotting back to the nursery. Time to finish this.
…
Twilight heard the door handle jiggle and looked up from her hushed conversation with Rainbow Dash, seeing Trixie enter with a new spring in her hoofsteps as she entered.
“Trixie,” Twilight said, narrowing her eyes.
“Twilight Sparkle!” Trixie responded, grinning broadly. “Would you kindly follow Trixie? I’d like to show you something in the other room.”
“Just a minute,” Twilight said, making Trixie freeze and raise an eyebrow in annoyed surprise. “Plastic pants for Rainbow Dash?”
Letting out a snort, Trixie rolled her eyes. “Of course,” she said, horn glowing as she flew in the plastic cover from the other room, affixing them to Rainbow Dash’s flanks without even looking. “Now, come with Trixie before I start to get upset.”
Twilight looked over at Rainbow Dash, who gulped but nodded. “Fine,” Twilight said, turning back to Trixie and following her out the door, not bothering to shut it behind her. Swinging the door open to the lab, then, Trixie led them in, and Twilight didn’t bother to shut that one either.
“So what did you want to show me?” Twilight asked, a little curiosity in her voice. Then, noting the book on the desk, she started putting pieces together. “Trixie… This is an extremely dangerous book, you should really be careful with-”
“Quiet!” Trixie demanded, yanking the book away and tucking it on a shelf behind her back protectively. “That book is not for every pony to just… Read. It belongs to Trixie, and nopony else!”
“Oh, really?” Twilight asked, taking a step to the side as though to get around Trixie. She couldn’t help but smile a bit at the opportunity, though she tried to keep it to merely a small grin. “Are you suuure I can’t just get a little peek at it?”
“No!” Trixie said, taking a step laterally to Twilight and sliding the book alongside her to keep it as far away from Twilight as possible.
Frowning, Twilight took two more steps around, asking, “Trixie, what’s the harm?”
Trixie frowned, furrowed her brow in annoyance, and again moved to the side along with the book, stopping Twilight from getting a look at the potion book.
Not even bothering to comment, Twilight took another two steps to the side.
Glaring in anger, Trixie said, “You are not going to see this book, Twilight Sparkle and unless you quit moving this second, Trixie is going to get angry.” And then, she took two more steps to the side to stay parallel with Twilight.
Which put her back to the door.
The door that had been left open.
The door that had been left open intentionally by Twilight, giving Rainbow Dash an opportunity to charge.
“Now!” Twilight shouted, and before Trixie could so much as raise her eyebrows in surprise, a speeding bolt of barely-aimed blue pegasus clad in pink party dress slammed into her from behind, tackling Trixie and sacking her like a professional stallion linebacker. Rainbow’s wings may not have been particularly obedient, but they were still strong and fast, and she hadn’t needed much finesse to accelerate ten feet in a straight line.
At the same time as that was taking place, Twilight had a spell ready to hit Trixie as a followup to Rainbow’s assault. Before she could launch the magic at the Great and Powerful Trixie, though, Trixie had managed to half spin, managing to get Rainbow Dash off of her and throwing up a magical shield. The two magical blasts of force met in the air, creating a blinding flash of light between the two of them, but it didn’t take long before Trixie’s magic began overpowering Twilight’s.
Rather than keep the magic going in a losing battle, Twilight instead released her magic and dove to the side, letting Trixie’s spell blast past her and burn a hole in the wall. Then, horn glowing again, she tried once more to launch a spell at Trixie. Again, though, Trixie’s horn glowed black with green spots of viscous energy, and the two blasts of magic met without any harm to Trixie. Twilight dodged away again, but it was a closer miss this time, with Trixie’s returning bolt of magic barely singing past Twilight’s mane and knocked over the desk behind her, sending jars and beakers tumbling.
“Enough!” Trixie shouted, and the energy around her horn grew more intense as she suddenly grabbed Twilight within an aura of magical energy, holding her in place. Twilight tried to move, but the magical field around her kept her held in place, incapable of escaping. Glaring daggers, Trixie’s horn continued to glow more intensely as she worked some kind of spell, and Twilight realized with a sudden jolt of concern that Trixie was weaving a second work of magic while maintaining the magical barrier keeping Twilight restrained. That took a lot of skill, or even more power, and as long as Twilight has helplessly suspended in place there wasn’t anything she could do about it.
“The GREAT and POWERFUL Trixie has not worked this hard or gathered this much power for you to undermine me now!” She shouted, face contorted in rage, putting intense emphasis on the adjectives in her title as she pumped more energy into the spell she was preparing. “Nothing is going to stop me! I’ll teach you to humiliate Trixie! If I have to, I’ll teach everypony in Ponyville to give me the respect I deserve!”
Twilight made a choking noise, but with her muzzle held shut by the restraining barrier of magic, she couldn’t respond. She knew that whatever Trixie was preparing, it couldn’t be anything subtle. The amount of energy in the spell and the difficulty of maintaining that much magic all at once implied that it couldn’t be much more than a straight-up blast of pure magical force, but if that was the case, something that powerful could potentially even be deadly.
“Does the puny Twilight Sparkle have any last words?” Trixie asked, her rage mellowed into a mere quiet, intense fury.
“MmmmMMMmmMMMM!” Twilight mumbled, trying frantically both to open her mouth and plead for Trixie to stop, and to somehow take down the immensely strong field of magic keeping her frozen in place.
“That’s what I thought,” Trixie said, dropping the magic keeping Twilight in place and unleashed the magical attack with enough force to level a small forest.
Rainbow Dash’s eyes went wide, and she leapt in front of Twilight. The bolt of magic hit her, launching her into the wall and collapsing it before hitting the ceiling in the next room over, slamming through it, and finally crashing through the roof as she was launched with enough speed to send her halfway across Ponyville.
Seeing her opportunity, Twilight’s whole body vanished in a flash as she teleported, before she could see what had happened to Rainbow Dash. Not away, or out of the house, but instead appearing just behind Trixie. Not having any time to spare, for fear that Trixie would catch her breath and react, Twilight didn’t try for a spell. Instead, she reached out, found something hard and cylindrical, and brought it crashing down on Trixie’s head like a club.
The glass bottle she had used as a weapon shattered upon impact with Trixie, sending glass and the black, gooey contents of the bottle flying everywhere. Trixie was knocked out immediately, collapsing to the floor like a sack of potatoes, the dark sludge running down, getting in her mane, and spilling onto the floor.
“Blech,” Twilight groaned, shaking her hoof in an attempt to shake off some of the ooze that was clinging to her foreleg. It didn’t seem to want to come free, but it also didn’t cause any pain or discomfort, so she assumed it was harmless. After all, she had no way of knowing how toxic it was, or else she’d have run to the kitchen to clean it off before the potion could leach through her skin.
Looking down at Trixie’s limp form, Twilight commented, “Thank goodness that’s over. Say, do you know what this gunk is?” There was a moment of silence, and Twilight said again, “Rainbow Dash? Are you…”
Turning around, she saw the three matching holes in the wall, ceiling, and roof. Eyes going wide, she quietly mouthed, “Oh… no…”
…
Under normal circumstances, the magical blast which had hit Rainbow Dash would most likely have been fatal, or at least landed her in the hospital for months. As luck would have it, though, she had a few things going in her favor.
Firstly, she had only been winged by the shot, not taking the full force head-on and instead being clipped and launched away by the magical blast.
Secondly, she was a pegasus, and a resilient one at that. Crashing through three walls along with her eventual crash landing would have been horrible for anypony else, but for someone with her frequent history of crash landings and hard impacts, Rainbow Dash was better equipped for an impact like that.
Finally, and most importantly, she was in the final stages of a mystical malediction which fed on magical energy.
While the blast that hit her was powerful enough to send Rainbow Dash soaring, the vast majority of the magical energy was absorbed by the curse affecting her, and even the remaining energy couldn’t do any lasting harm to Rainbow, as whatever effects were done by the magic found themselves immediately undone.
Of course, though, all things come with a price. As Rainbow Dash tumbled to the ground, landing in an open area she would have recognized as Ponyville square if she had been totally aware of her surroundings, she felt a sudden shifting of mass within her bowels that demanded an immediate relief of pressure.
Other ponies in the square, having seen the crash and wanting to be good samaretins, were beginning to gather around and approach with cautious curiosity to see if the blue pony in the strangely foalish pink attire needed any help.
Pupils shrinking to pinpoints as she realized what was about to happen, Rainbow looked frantically for some kind of escape in the few seconds she had before the magic of the curse fully converted the energy into mass, and deposited that mass into her diaper. She couldn’t fly, that would only crash her to the ground again, she couldn’t try and cover herself up with Twilight’s magic preventing her from wearing clothes except for those forced upon her by the curse, and so while it was a hopeless attempt, she tried to get to her hooves and simply run for it.
It was too late, of course. The final warning came when, just as she reached her hooves, Rainbow felt her tail hiking in natural response to what was about to happen. There was nothing she could do.
Rainbow Dash gulped.
