Rainbow's Curse
Epilogue
Previous ChapterTHREE WEEKS LATER
Knock knock knock.
Rainbow Dash answered the door to the library, just cracking it open a bit to see who it was before opening it the rest of the way, making sure that the blue cloak she was wearing was pulled around her. “Hey, Fluttershy,” she said, smiling. “How’s your day been?”
“Oh, it’s been nice,” Fluttershy responded, returning the smile as she trotted inside carrying a sleeping bag and pair of pajamas under one wing. “They finished the repairs in the courtyard today, I hear that the mayor’s rededication speech was very nice. And how are the girls?”
Blushing a bit as she remembered what had wrecked the courtyard in the first place, Rainbow said, “Er, well… That’s good, I guess. They’re doing okay, we all just had lunch, now Twilight is getting some reading done, and Trixie is in time out.”
“Oh dear, what did she do now?” Fluttershy asked, concern in her voice as they walked towards the back room in the library which had been converted to a temporary nursery until Twilight and Trixie recovered.
Rolling her eyes as they reached the nursery, Rainbow opened the door and replied, “She pulled Twilight’s mane. With magic. It took me twenty minutes to get both of them cleaned up.” Inside, Twilight was sitting against a wall, wearing a yellow polka-dot onesie which didn’t quite hide the bulge of her diaper, suckling on a matching pacifier and happily reading a book on advanced magical theory. She didn’t even look up when Rainbow and Fluttershy entered, too engrossed in her book to much care. Trixie was sitting in the corner of the room dressed in a young foal’s pink dress, facing the wall with her arms crossed in a pouting gesture.
Shaking her head, Fluttershy sniffed at the air, wrinkled her nose, and then commented, “Speaking of which, it smells like somepony needs a little change.”
“Oh, uh, that’s me…” Rainbow Dash admitted, blushing a little and pulling her cloak a little tighter around herself. “I figured I could just change when I got home, since you’d be here soon.”
“Rainbow Dash,” Fluttershy admonished, shaking her head disapprovingly. “It’s been more than two weeks since Trixie’s curse wore off, you really should be working harder on your potty training.”
“Yeah, I know…” Rainbow conceded, shrugging and looking more annoyed than embarrassed by the lecture. “I’m working on it, okay?”
“Wainbow Dash wikes weawing diapas!” Trixie taunted from the corner, her own pacifier making her voice a little garbled, making Rainbow suddenly flush with embarrassment and stamp a hoof on the ground.
“I do not!” She protested. “Shut up!”
“Girls, there’s no need to fight,” Fluttershy said, interjecting herself into the argument. “Trixie, Rainbow Dash doesn’t like wearing diapers, and there’s no reason to say mean things like that.”
“Yeaw?” Trixie sneered, the words losing a little bit of their bite on account of her pacifier. “Den why doeth Wainbow Dash awways wait untiw hew diapaw is leaking to change hewself?”
Upon hearing that, Fluttershy raised an eyebrow and looked at Rainbow Dash, who blushed sheepishly.
“Uh, I… don’t want to waste diapers,” Rainbow offered, weakly.
“I’m sure that’s true,” Fluttershy said, sounding skeptical.
An awkward silence passed, and then Rainbow Dash said, “Well… I think everything’s good here, so… See you tomorrow morning?”
Tilting her head, Fluttershy asked, “I thought tomorrow morning was Pinkie Pie’s turn to come over?”
“The Cakes had something urgent come up and needed her to foalsit,” Rainbow Dash explained, shrugging. “And last time she tried foalbabysitting the twins and these two at the same time… It didn’t end well. I told her I could fill in. So, uh… See you tomorrow?”
“Of course,” Fluttershy said, nodding and smiling. “Have a nice night.”
“Will do!” Rainbow Dash said, pulling her cloak around her and hurrying to the door, before pausing. “It’s not like I’m in any hurry to go do anything,” she added, quickly. “It’s just, y’know, uh… Bye.”
“Goodbye?” Fluttershy said, a little confused, as Rainbow hurried out of the nursery, and then out the library door.
…
Rainbow Dash beamed as she flew home, so used to the bulk of wearing a diaper that its mass didn’t hamper her flying in the slightest any more. She would admit to herself that she probably hadn’t been working as hard as she could on re-potty training herself, but if she was being that honest with herself than it was because she didn’t really mind anymore. As long as nopony saw her, there weren’t any issues, and they let her practice flying for as long as she wanted without interruption.
Plus, she thought, feeling her messy diaper squish between her legs as she did a lazy loop in the air on her way home. There are other benefits to full diapers, when I can get some alone time.
Seeing her home in the distance flying lazily towards it, she sighed in contentment. She could work on retraining herself to use the bathroom some other day. For tonight, she had other plans.
The End.
