She was dead.

Her lifeless corpse was beside me as I watched the house burn, it's hard to think just this morning we had been laughing and enjoying each others company but now everything went wrong.

I remember screams but I didn't pay attention to them, I just sat there on the ground, I wasn't crying, I was too shocked to cry. I looked down at my mother, she was once smiling and laughing, now she had blood all over her with a tear-stained face, with no pulse or beating heart.

I didn't want it to be true, the only one who ever loved and cared for me was now dead. And I couldn't do anything about it. After all I was only 18, what could I do? Sure, I could go get help but I couldn't walk or stand, I was cut all over my legs and I was pretty sure my right hoof was broken. But I didn't want to leave my mom alone.

I remember fainting because of blood loss, but there was these ponies who were dressed in white coats, they picked up my mother's lifeless body and took her away. I wanted to scream and protest but my eyes were getting heavy and as I was closing my eyes I remember someone whispered into my ear,

"Don't worry, everything will be okay..."

Fluttershy awoke with a start, the dream she had just experienced left her with tears in her eyes and a wet pillow case from the wetness that came from her eyes. She sighed as she wiped away the tears, she looked over at the alarm clock that was beeping loudly, she groaned as she turned it off. Fluttershy was getting out of bed as she looked at the window, it was dark and dull outside due to the snow storms that were happening lately. Usually she would already be awake by her little furry friends that were hungry and wanted their master to get up and feed them but not today, they were hibernating and Fluttershy was left with an empty house.

Fluttershy walked downstairs, the only noise was coming from her hooves as she walked but other than that, there was complete silence. But as she began to make tea she remembered the dream once more.

It had been going on for a week now but at first Fluttershy thought nothing of it, but now she was growing worried about it. Due to these dreams she had been more quiet than usual and she hadn't been taking care of her own needs as like feeding herself. Fluttershy remembered everything, it wasn't just a dream, it was a memory. She never told any pony this dream, even after these 6 years, she chose to keep it hidden. For a moment she felt sorry for herself.

'Oh stop it Fluttershy! Now is not the time to be selfish!' She thought to herself.

When she was finished with her tea she decided to have a warm bath, she just wanted some relaxation to get her mind off of the dream.

She thought of the battles she and her friends had. She smiled at these memory knowing that their friendship will never expire. But that smile quickly faded as she remembered her last battle, she had thought he was her friend but he betrayed her, she had forgiven Discord but couldn't get a thought out of her head. Was she really not that important to him? Not only did he betray her but put pony kind at risk, without earth ponies the earth wouldn't grow, and there would be no rain from the pegasus, it could've killed her.

But she shouldn't think of it now, it was fixed and it was in the past. Fluttershy thought it was a good time to get out of the tub so she drained the tub and slowly got out. From the steam the mirror got foggy so Fluttershy used her hoof to wipe away some of the fog, but as she did the mirror showed what she looked like, she had bags under her eyes and she looked exhausted. She stared at her reflection and slowly started to cry. She didn't know why, maybe because of the dream or the the fact that she was helpless and weak-

"No! I shouldn't think that! Look at what this dream is doing to you Fluttershy!" She told herself.

She felt lonely, more lonely than the time her mother died. She needed to be with some pony, she needed company. No not a pony...but another creature.

So yeah this is what I thought of. I was trying to sleep but than this idea came to mind and I had to write it before I forgot about it in the morning.
