Limbo is falling apart after Dante and Vergil fought, one last time and in the end, Vergil was the loser as Dante escape Limbo with Yamato, but was send to another dimension, information entering his mind, body change.

Now in a new world with friend, allies and maybe lover(s), he must now defend this new world from demons, coming out from Limbo and the Hellsgates.
