Circumvolve

To revolve or wind about.

Rainbow Dash flew over Ponyville, scanning the streets below for any sign of pink. She was in a pranking mood, and wanted to get her best pranking buddy in on the action. Spotting her quarry, Rainbow dove towards the ground.

"Hiya, Dashie!" Pinkie Pie greeted as soon as Rainbow Dash was in earshot.

Rainbow opened her mouth to ask Pinkie if she wanted to prank, but the words stopped in Rainbow's throat when she saw what Pinkie Pie was doing.

Pinkie Pie was spinning in place very swiftly. Her four hooves beat the ground at a rapid tempo and her poofy pink mane and tail whipped around behind her. A huge smile was plastered on her face, though that might not have been from the spinning, since Pinkie was rarely ever not smiling.

"Pinkie Pie, what are you doing?" Rainbow Dash asked. A simple enough question with a simple enough answer, sure, but with Pinkie Pie it was always better to ask just in case.

"I'm spinning!" Pinkie exclaimed with glee, confirming Rainbow's suspicion.

Several seconds passed with only the sound of Pinkie Pie's hooves to fill the silence. Rainbow tried to follow Pinkie's movements but her eyes had trouble following the dizzying mare.

"Why?" Rainbow finally asked.

Pinkie screeched to a stop, her hooves leaving pink skid marks on the ground. A faint whirring of gears could be heard and for an instant the smell of smoke filled the air. Then Pinkie Pie shrugged and said, "Beats me, but it's fun!" and resumed her relentless revolutions.

Rainbow rolled her eyes and grinned at her friend's antics. "Alright, Pinkie," she said. "I was just wondering if you wanted to go pranking with me."

Very suddenly Pinkie Pie was no longer spinning, but instead standing next to Rainbow Dash with a mischievous look on her face. Rainbow gave a yelp of surprise at Pinkie's sudden proximity and jumped six feet into the air, then tried (and failed) to pass it off as intentional to preserve her image.

"Sure thing, Dashie!" Pinkie chirped, and the two pranksters walked off together to make plans.
