Sunset shimmer is saved from a life of homelessness by a strange man, whom she brings to Equestria by request of a Celestia forged by war. They must now take back the world from Nightmare Moon, the changelings, and all the other forces of darkness that were allowed to flourish these many years without the elements of harmony.
Without the spark and a missing shimmer, the Celestial Empire has been reduced to Ponyville, and Clouds Dale alone; surrounded in the south by changeling drones, and in the north by Nightmare sentinels, can harmony be restored?
