Chapter One: A meeting with the moon

Previous Chapter

"...And that's about all I can remember,"  mumbled Adagio.

Adagio had been having dreams like this for almost a month now where she would be hear voices say certain words constantly, she believed that they would eventually either weaken or just go away, But that never seemed to happen. instead her dreams became worse as time went on. They now were more terrifying and causing her to not want to sleep.

Soon after Adagio finished describing her dream, Luna began to write down what Adagio had just told her.

Even though Luna was the vice principal of Canterlot high, she still felt that she should help the students of Canterlot high with issues they may  have going on. Principal Celestia suggested that she became a counselor for the students due to the fact that she already was the go to person in the school for such matters, but Celestia also knew that Luna had a knack for helping the students, especially with dream related issues.

After a couple minutes of writing, Luna took her pen away from her page and looked up at the girl sitting across from her.

"Well Miss Dazzle," said Luna, as she began to rest back in her office chair, "your dreams are definitely trying to tell you something but what they are trying to tell you is yet unclear," she sat up again and gave a sigh, "but i do believe that these dreams are coming partly because of your past and the fact that you are having troubles letting go of it."

Adagio watched as Luna's expression changed to a more questioning and curious look.

"have you experienced any of the these feelings that you mentioned recently?"

Adagio thought for a moment before answering this question, she thought that she should lie so that she could finish this session with Luna, but she knew that wasn't going to solve any of the emotional problem she was having, she also knew that she couldn't keep bottling up her emotions any longer.

"Actually," said Adagio, "I have. My sisters, Sonata and Aria, decided to move out on me after what happened at the battle of the bands," Adagio paused for a moment, "and soon after they moved, things between us, they... well... began to change."

"Change?" questioned Luna, "what do mean by change?"

"Well they changed, they started to hangout with different people and they started to..."

"Forget about you." said Luna, almost predicting what the girl was going to say.

Adagio sighed, looking down at her spiked purple boots. "Yes."

"I see." Luna put her pen to the paper, looked down, and began to write again. After a minute or so she stopped, looked back at Adagio and continued to speak, "So after they moved away, did you begin to feel depressed in anyway?

"No," she said, her voiced sounding regretful, "I was more angry than anything at the time, they moved out without any warning or notice, and the fact that they left me so they could be with "someone better"didn't  exactly help either," she let a huff of air out before continuing "I didn't begin to start feeling depressed till after we got into this fight at the mall."

"Oh?" said Luna in curiosity, "and what were you girls fighting about exactly?"

"Well, you see we-" Adagio was cut off by the loud buzzing coming from the timer on Luna's desk.

Luna quickly picked the timer up from off her desk and began to reset it.

"My apologizes Miss Dazzle, but it does seem we have run out of time, would like to continue on with our discussion?

"o-ok ... s-sure," she said hesitantly, "when do you have another opening?"

Luna grabbed a binder from off the table next to her. She opened it and began to flip through a couple of pages, "Well I have some time for you in about three days from now, is that ok?

Adagio looked up, giving a faint, fake smile before answering, "Yea... that's sounds fine."

"excellent," giving Adagio a smile back before writing down the appointment.

Adagio was just beginning to stand up and put her book bag over her shoulder when she heard Luna say something to her.

"Adagio,"she said, "i know I'm not suppose to do this and this may sound like a much, but there is another student who goes here, and she had very similar problems to yours in the past, and i was wondering if you'd consider letting her join us in our next discussion to maybe help you see another persons perspective on the matter."

Adagio discouraged the idea herself, but she told Luna that she would consider the idea. With some final farewells, Adagio began to walk back to her class. On the way to her class she began to think to herself about what she just discussed and she kept thinking about what Luna had asked her. She thought about who could possibly have the same problems as her, but she quickly stopped herself after she told her self, "why would there be anyone who has the same problem as you? No one else tried to take over the school in a attempt to become adored, and besides, who would be willing to help..." She hesitated to finish herself.

She sighed and whispered the rest to herself, "Such a monster..." she sighed again "...A monster like me.
