Rainbow dash and the IDA

Chapter 1 the Mental Trap

Eventually someone finds her and it gets on the news so they take the corps to a room to be studied and a member from a secret organization comes by and takes her body showing people his badge with a presidential signature. He is wearing a black coat and black pants with a black badge barely readable that said L.D.S. and underneath it said lerchins dimensional study. He also had a ton of strange technoledgy one was 4 silver bars on the sides of his wrist and they are not connected but manage to stay on his wrist.

He put her body in a van and drove for several hours. Sometime during the night he drives on an abandon bridge with moss covering it and a bunch of trees everywhere, pushes a button in the car and drives off the bridge into a raging river but right before be hits the water he warps to a secret bunker. In this bunker there is a very long parking lot but not very many turns.

He drove to the end of the parking lot and parked in it but when he stops his car it begins to go down an elevator and a new car is placed back on the parking space.

When he made it to the bottom of the elevator he got out of the car and put metal bracelets on rainbow's legs.

In a matter of seconds an electricle surge causes rainbow dash wakes up and immedietly starts to struggle trying to move with every possible muscle in her body but cant move even an inch with the bracelets on.

“why are you doing this to me!”rainbow dash yelled getting no responce.

“well can you at least tell me where i am”rainbow asks still getting no responce.

The man pushes on the wall opening a door which slides into the walls. He looks at rainbow for a second then the bracelets lift her up pulling her through the door.

“im going to get out of here you know and if you think even for a second i wont then you are poorly mistaken”rainbow said causing the man to smile for a second.

The bracelets begin to glow causing rainbow dash to fade from existance and not be able to control her muscles.

Rainbow dash finds herself in a small room with daring doo. That has a plate with grub that infinately spawns. But the plate can’t be moved. Daring looks at rainbow dash and starts crying unccontrollably.

“Ohh my god rainbow dash you dont know how glad i am to see you.” daring said as she runs up to rainbow and huggs so tightly even rainbow dash can’t breathe properly.

“I missed you too but we havent been apart for long what happened in here” rainbow said.

“not that long ive been here for 5 years.”daring said.

“It was only a few months for me”rainbow dash said.

“well either we came into this dimension at different times or this place makes time appear as if it goes slower which would mean every second there is a lot longer here”daring said

“did you find a way to escape from here and where even is here”rainbow dash asked.

“yes but no they put us in there mind and they test us every 3 hours at least thats how long it takes in here”daring said.

“what kind of tests and how did they put us in there mind”rainbow asked.

“its different every time the first hour for me was just how my body moves but every test after that is exausting if i could be exausted but its affecting me mentially cause my body is taking so much and im not even sure how they put us in their minds”

“well if we are trapped in his mind we might as well try to find a way out like break his mind with ours”rainbow said as she sits down and starts meditating.

“wait before i start doing this. How did he make us in our normal bodies” rainbow asked.

“because we are in his brain its actually how i figured out where we are”daring replid.

“ohh makes since well lets try and escape”rainbow said.

“sounds good”daring replied while both get into a meditating position.

Since they are both horses they just lay on their legs to meditate.

Meanwhile in equestria twilight is trying day and night to determine what happened to rainbow and daring until they both start meditating and thats when one of the speeitual moniters starts going haywire.

“I think i found something” twilight exclamed.

A pink horse with a pink mane and balloons as a cutie mark climbed in through the window” is it a comet that is made of cake getting ready to crash on ponyvill”said as pulling a cake out of her mane.

“No im hoping its rainbow dash and daring doo” twilight said.

“ohh i knew that” pinkie said as vheeks turn from pink to red.

“WHAT!!!”twilight said as she tried to figure out where this anomaly comes from.”it sais they are everywhere”

“well they cant be everywhere considering how nothing can be everywhere without also being nowhere at the same time because that would break physics”sais pinkie pie.

“pinkie you might be on to something. If i configure these readings to transmit a simple message that might be a way to communicate to them. Pinkie your a genius.”twilight said.

Twilight gets to work grabbong a bunch of different peices to a machine and brings a satellite disc on the roof of the castle using extension cords to connect the two machines and in 2 days twilight sais”finally its ready”

Celestia the ruler of equestria walks in and sais.” twilight are you sure you have the message perfect because you know the message can only be a few words long or you cant send it.”

“yes celestia i have made sure the message is small but precice”twilight replies then pushes a button on the machine which draws some magic from her horn and causing her to almost calapse. Then in a matter of seconds a bright light causes the machine to explode.

“NOOOOOO. How did it fail mabye i need to put some more battery power or magic in it.” twilight said.

“whats this”pinkie said picking up some rubble.

“....ohh that would explain it. I put plutonium in the power core. I needed to use dark matter energy to power it because of the extreame distance”twilight said.”it should be done in five days.

Meanwhile with rainbow dash and daring doo.

“hey dare did u hear that”said rainbow

“yes i did what do u think happened it sounded like twilight asking where are you”daring said

“wow did they contact us. Lets try to figure it out.”said rainbow “Try to talk to me like that mabye we can find out if it works”

“ok” daring replied.

They keep trying new things while meditating and finally daring hears”who are you really.”

“did you ask that?”asked daring.

“holy crap did it actually work”rainbow said.

“did you ask that question?” darig repeated.

“you mean the one where i ask who you are really”rainbow stated.

“yes”daring replied.

“well when i think of you i can only think of myself but when i think of twilight or someone else i picture them so.”rainbow said.

“I guess its as good a time as any to tell you this”daring said.”im you rainbow but im from a different reality i hid my identity so you wouldnt know the truth.”

“well i guess thats why you are so awesome” rainbow remarked.

“yeah but heres what happened you know Ahuizutl well there was a war that took place in the future and someone who was born there went back in time to get recruits like me.”

“anyways they couldnt bring me back to the future because they couldnt bring anything back to the future that went back in time.”

“so they decided to put me in a time capsule freezing my body for 10230 moons and when i woke up i was instantly taken to the training camp”

“the training was hard and i could barely keep up luckily im a quick learner otherwise i wouldnt have made it as far as i did”said daring.

“wait what about your mane why is it so grey”rainbow asked.

“because of how long i was in the time capsule it decayed my hair both that and i was in a battle for a long time”daring replied.

“ohh okay” rainbow said.

“anyways when i was done training my ass off they sent me to the front lines. Which Ahuizutl is the army. Well his species i mean.”

“although the army was strong it couldnt beat those of us who came from the past so we outnumbered them”

“When the battle was over and they retreated one of them activated something that took them back in time but they had a five second countdown”

“so we took out the remainder of them but one survived and went back in time to a few hours before i was supposed to be born”

“thats why i kept my identity a secret because if you knew then it would change your destiny instead of preserving it like was planned”daring said.

“wow thats so awesome” rainbow said.

“anyways lets get back to trying to send telipathic essages back and forth”daring said getting back into meditating.

They meditate for a few more minutes because rainbow knew how to send them it was easier.

“i think this is how you do it”rainbow thought.

“how did you do that so quickly” daring said.

“i figured it out” rainbow thought.

“how?”daring said.

“you need to focus on who your thinking too and think about the words not as if you were speaking them but as if you were subconsciously thinking about it. Pretty much make your consious mind think about them and subconscious think about what you are saying.” rainbow thought.

“wow your really good at thay considering you just learned how” daring thought but rainbow didnt receive.”did you not get that”daring said.

“no” rainbow thought.

“i said wow you are really good considering you just started learning how to do that” daring said.

“thanks but im going to try something different as you try to figure out how”rainbow thought right before tryig to make the subconsious think of a new consious and a new subconsious demonstrating it to daring.

They go at this for a few more minutes then darig figures it out thinking”is this how you do it”

“yup” rainbow thought.

“wow thays hard” darig thought.

“now lets try to hear the thoughts of eachother without sending a message” rainbow thought.

“ok”daring thought without using subconsious with rainbow hearing that.”did you hear me say ok”daring thought to rainbow.

“yes… did you not subconsiously think that”rainbow thought.

“no i didnt”daring thought.”try it again” said while continiously thinking without subconsious.” i knew my dad.”

“you knew my dad” rainbow thought to daring.

“yes you see without ahuizutl interfering your mom wouldnt have done that.”daring said.

“what happened?”rainbow asked

“well when he first came here he went to cloudsdale and on the way to give birth she saw us fighting and tried to avoid us but when she saw me the realization must have triggered something that caused her to get really angry.”

“this normally happens when someone can see their future self for the first time in person i guess cause she was pregnant with you she still felt what you felt.”

“wow so i caused my parents death…”rainbow thought without thinking subconsiously.”lets just get back to meditating”

“did you think that to me?” daring asked.”i mean the parent thing”

“no” rainbow replied.

“well i guess we can now hear eachothers thoughts without trying” daring said.

“well lets not talk about my parents right now” rainbow said letting out a deep sigh.

“for the record it wasnt you who did that to them it was me”daring said while thinking “ i know i am you but its still different”

“lets just try to contact twi again and talk to her” thought rainbow.

They both sit and try to think to twilight they end up trying to think to her really hard making their faces turn red then suddenly they here twilight say”rainbow!”

“no its daring but rainbows right next to me”daring thought.

“well tell her Ive been trying to talk to her this whole time” twilight said

“hey i contacted twi rainbow and she has been trying to contact us this whole time” daring thought to rainbow.

“well can you try to find us were in some sort of other dimension these creatures walk on two legs and have very short snouts” daring thought.

“wait a second that sounds like something lyra always talked about hold on ill be right back” twilight said.

“im thinking to you twilight so i will just think to you and lyra” thought daring.

“let me talk to lyra first okay daring”twilight said.

“okay i will just listen in” daring said.

“rainbow you just need to think hard enough for twilight to hear because she is so far away as you know”daring thought.

“twilight” rainbow thought extreamly hard.

“Yes daring”twilight said.

“its rainbow” she thought.

“is it like some sort of phone or something over there”twilight said.

“Not exactly. We're thinking to you”rainbow thought.

“thats cool” twilight said.

“lyra come out here quick” twilight said knocking on lyra’s door.” hurry its about humans”

“did you find a way to get me to them!” lyra screamed as she busted the door down.

“no but thats where rainbow and daring are”twilight said.” and we were hoping you knew a way to get there but obviously not.”

“wait” lyra said.” there is a way but its been lost for centuries”

“what happened to it”twilight asked.

“it just got lost we know its in the north further than the northern magnetic pull of the earth” lyra said.

“wow thats way past the crystal empire” twilight said. “we have to go through yak yakistan and oast the snowey wolfs and through the yetti territory”

“yup and no equestrian ever came further than that and lived to tell the story but they have to go at least five hundred acres past that” said lyra.

“Well we need to get there”said twilight.”wait first i need to manufacture a device that coorolates to the telipathic sequences that rainbow and daring found.”

“follow me lyra”said twilight as she ran to her library.

“im going to take some of the parts from the other machine and make it transfigure the readings of telipathy to figure out where it comes from”twilight said as she took parts out of the machine and redevoloped it to a ring that pulls her magic toward the location.

“watch this”twilight said performing a spell that just emits an orah around some air but its very extatic going in every direction.

“ive never seen magic act like that” said lyra.

“thats because they are not in this world or this dimension actually so i thought it would act this way” replied twilight.”well lets go”

“okay we should get packed because the train for the crystal empire is in half an hour.”lyra said” ohh and you wont need any books”

“im just going to bring two and my notebook”twilight said running into her house not letting lyra object.

“where are you twilight the train is right here”said lyra as the train pulls up.”i guess ill see her there.”

“LYRA!” gasped twilight after she ran up to her”im... here”

“finally what took you so long”said lyra.

“I just had to triple check i had everything”twilight replied.

“okay well lets get on we dont wanna keep rainbow and daring waiting”said lyra.

“okay” twilight said as they got onboard.

“ohh my got twilight i cant wait until we get to see the humans. You know its everything ive ever dreamed of!”exclamed lyra.

“well dont get your hopes up we dont know what we will find out there past those yetti’s”twilight said.

“wait how do we know that there is a portal if we dont know whats past the yetti’s?”asked lyra.

“well we used to go there freely remember messiah from the legend he went there and came back with holes in his hooves. Well he decided that humans were too dangerous to explore so he put up a lot of obstacles like those yetti’s and well. ya”said twilight.

“well i hope we can pass his obstacles”said lyra.

“ya i hope so too.”said twilight.

“im tired its late”said lyra.” and tomorrow we have a lot to do.”

“ya” said twilight.” good night.”

“night”said lyra.

“wake up lyra where here!”shouted twilight.

“ohh wow already”said lyra as she got up.”well i gotta get my stuff”

“im joking lyra we still have twenty minutes til we get there”laughed twilight.

“I hate you i was having a good dream you know what”said lyra as she used magic to knock suitcases on twilight including her own making a massive pile.

“i guess i deserved that” said twilight as she used her magic to put up all the suit cases.

“im going back to sleep” lyra said while yawning.

“okay” twilight smirked leaning over lyra waiting for her to fall asleep.

Lyra punched twilight in the face pretending to roll over and not care what she hit”you punched me lyra”said twilight without responce.

“uhh fine ill wake u when were there”said twilight.

“wake up lyra were here” said twilight as she taps with magic.

“okay”said as stands up grabbing the bag and walking out the door.

“come on lyra lets go” said twilight. “ i wanna get rainbow and daring back asap”

“i do too but are you sure about this?” asked lyra.

“of course im sure this is the only way”said twlight.”its going to be okay lyra were two very powerful unicorns”

“okay lets go”said lyra as they depart to the snowey mountains.

“hey what are these things they look like bulls”said lyra.

“these are yak’s and were in yak yakistan” replied twilight.

“ohh okay”said lyra.

“what are two unicorns doing in yak territory” said one of the yak’s.

“hello i am twilight sparkle and this is my friend lyra heartstrings. Wer-” said as cut off by yak.

“my name in bunkle but i asked what are you doing here”said the yak.

“were on our way to the human portal”said twilight.

“well why didnt you just say so here ill lead you there.” said bunkle.

“thank you” said twilight.

“right through this trench you will see your destination”said bunkle.” now go dont stay here any longer”

“okay lets go lyra”said twilight.

“well this is definitely spooky” said lyra looking at the snowey spiders crawl the walls of the trench.

“ya tell me about it”said twilight shaking in her coat.

“look i see the end of the trench!”exclamed lyra.

“ya i see it too” said twilight as she ran toward it.

“WAIT!”screamed lyra as twilight stopped and the spiders stared at them.”there’s a ledge”

“ohh i almost ran right off it”said twilight as she looked in the distance and saw a massive portal.”look at it. Its massive”

“twilight the spiders. They’re”lyra said watching them climb down the walls.

“RUN!”screamed twilight as she slid down the cliff and lyra ran screaming.

“there right behind you”twilight said as a spider hurled toward lyra landing right in front of her.

“go ill be fine”grunted lyra as she through the spider with magic.

“not without you”said twilight as she teliported them both to the bottom of the cliff.

“cant we just teliport to the portal?”asked lyra.

“ohh yeah”said twilight as she tried to teliport them right in front of the portal.”it isnt working”

“ohh so we have to walk through this”said lyra.

“well were not getting anywhere standing around here lets get walking”said twilight.

As they walk through the snowey terrain they step on something crunchy and look down”ahhhh its a pony skeleton”shrieked lyra.

Suddenly the bones begin to move rolling toward a rock ahead of them creating a skeletal beast that swings its arm at them about to crush them.

“ahhhh i…  i cant hold it” said twilight as she cast a forcefeild spell.”help lyra”

“take this” said lyra as she cast a fireball spell at the skeletal creatures arm causing it to back away. Enraged the center rock glows red and begins bashing at the forcefeild like crazy.

Twilight unable to hold the spell any longer teliported them around the other side of the creature but only got barely out of the way from the attacks.

“run lyra” said twilight as they ran into the fog right ahead of them.

They instantly trip and suddenly cant move.”how do i get out if here i cant move”said lyra.

“like this”said twilight as they teliport right outside the fog getting swiped by the skeleton thrown across the wall of fog.”are you okay”

“ya im okay just in a lot of pain”said lyra.

“well i certainly think that this was not a good idea”said twilight.

“wait look at where we are”said lyra pointing to yetti’s hills where there is some caves where about fifty yetti’s are running out jumping out of their caves landing right in front of them.

Horrified by the sheer numbers of them and how they are three times their size and their hands are as big as them. One of them yelled and spit flew out of their mouth drenching them in drool.

“uhm twi what do we do?” wispered lyra.

“i dont know” wispered twilight”hello we are heading to the portal twilight said to the yetti’s and they immediately swing their enormous hands at them making twilight teliport on the other side of the hand.

“RUN!”yelled twilight as they both ran around them jumping over swinging arms using magic to keep them as far away as possible but its no good once one of them jumps in front of them.

“this might work” said twilight as she used a spell to make a hole 5 feet deep holding a roof of snow above them.

The yetti’s bounce on the mound caused by the magic so they just dig deeper trying to go under them.

“i think its deep enough we dont have to use magic anymore.” said twilight as the spell went away.

“is it just me or is it really hot in here?”asked lyra.

“i surely think its hot in here its also pretty hard to breathe” twilight said as she used a spell to give them more air through little holes in the snow.

“well im going to take my coat off”said lyra as she started to use her own magic to unzip the coat.

“NO! Dont do it lyra its just because were in extreame cold. Our bodys make us think were hot to get over the cold.”said twilight.

“okay what do we do if im so cold im hot right now” said lyra.

“just use a heat spell around us ill make a cold spell around the snow so it doesnt melt okay”said twilight as she began making a cold spell above them.

“okay” said lyra as she make a heat spell below twilights and too the ground.

“i think its just getting hotter in here im sweating like crazy.” said lyra as she took off her coat dispelling her spell.

“okay but if you die then its on you. I cant do anything just ask it of you. Im keeping mine on.” said twilight.

A few minutes pass and twilight sweats like crazy then feels the earth that she’s walking on scorch her feet.”wow it is getting really hot i wonder how close to the portal we are put your coat on lyra”

“okay” lyra said as she put her coat on.

“lets go”twilight said as she digs up and levitates them both out for a second.”why are we near an erupting volcano. We were just in snowey land.”

“t-twi look” said pointing to terik in chains.

“how did we get here?” asked twilight.

“were in tartarus” said lyra.

“how do we get back?”asked twilight as she dug down two feet then suddenly bounced up out of the ground flying up in the air 20 feet.

“come on now we need to contact celestia”twilight said as she produced a spell that sent a message to celestia saying:”hello celestia this is twilight sparkle we decided to go to the northern portal and somehow ended up here can you help.”

“now we try to find a way out of here”said twilight as she begins walking to terik in chains.”wait thats not terik who are you and do you know where we are we can help if you tell us”

“i am makalala and you are in snizen. What even are you?” asked the creature.

“im an equestrian named twilight and ive never heard of a place like that”

“ohh i can help you get back if you let me out if here” said makalala.

“how do we know we can trust you” said lyra.

“i put a lye detection spell on her she isnt lying.” said twilight as she unhooked the chains and let her out.

“thank you here ill show you the portal to the second dimesnion” said makalala.as she slithered over through the valleys of volcanoes.

“we need equestria what are you talking about second dimension?” asked twilight.

“thats which dimesnion equestria is from you didnt know that” wondered makalala.

“no but actually were looking for our friend rainbow dash in the human dimesnion.” said lyra.

“ohh well then we went the wrong way”said makalala as she turned completly around.

“what dimesnion is this if you dont mind me asking” said twilight.

“your in the sixth dimension wow how dont you know about any of this arnt you connected to the idn?” asked makalala.

“no can i get connected that would really help our situation” asked twilight.

“yes but you need to go to the first dimension without anything on your mind except knoledge so you should save your friend first.” said makalala.

“why were you chained up. Just wondering” said lyra.

“i was enduring the next step in my training which after i help someone that would help someone who appears bad for the intent of good i would get promoted but youll learn all that when you get connected to the idn.”

“how far away is the portal to the humans?” asked twilight.

“right there in the volcanoe but you cant open it without my help. By the way when you go through remember where i put you cause you will have to go back to it in order to find me and you need to find me to get home because there is no way to walk through the portal from this dimension”said makalala.

“okay bye and thank you” said twilight and lyra.

“no problem cya” said makalala as she opened the portal and twilight walks through with lyra.

“time to find rainbow” said twilight as she flew up over the trees using that and magic.”wow im a lot heavier here and the air isnt working the same”

“come on i cant fly i dont have wings” said lyra.

“im just trying to find out where rainbow is so we can run there” twilight said as her body turns toward the east” found her”

“where did you guys go i lost you once you dug a hole near the yetti’s” thought rainbow.

“long story ill tell you later”said twilight as she lowered down to lyra.

“why did you just say that?” asked lyra.

“because i can talk to you” said rainbow.

“woah how did you do that twilight that sounds exactly like rainbow dash” said lyra.

“that wasnt me” said twilight.

“hurry im so bored in here”daring thought to both of them.

“okay were on our way” lyra said as they run through the forest.

A few hours later exausted from running they end up falling asleep and woken by rainbow thinking to them eventually they see that they have been captured by some humans and put in some woden cages.

“lyra wake up” said twilight.”we have to get out of here”

Twilight teliports them about a mike away”lyra you go to the portal ill go find rainbow”

“okay” said lyra.

Twilight flies away struggling with her wings and uses magic to aid her in her flight, and lyra walks back to those primitive humans and stays hidden in the trees observing them.

A few hours pass and twilight finds an ocean in her way from rainbow so she rests but doesnt fall asleep getting ready to fly across it. And once twilight lays down lyra gets caught by one of them and runs through the forest luckely she can also teliport.

“ohh my god look at them holding those spears its all ive ever dreamed of” wispered lyra wile she is in a tree.

Twilight after five minutes of resting decided to try to fly across the ocean starting with just magic and not using wings she floats up then shoots off in the distance reaching moch three.

Mere feet from the water she teliports streight up half a mile into the sky and glides the direction she is aiming for.

Using this same pattern for about an hour twilight gets really tired so she finds a cloud off in the distance and teliports ontop of it.

She keeps falling through slowely so she has to lift some of her weight up but she is resting more than she is working so she stays there for a few minutes.

Suddenly she sees a storm cloud and teliports on top of it. Not sinking through at all she walks on top of it and gets to the other side with ease.

“why the hell is this ocean so big” asked twilight.

“do you want me to keep you company or do you just want to find us?” thought daring.

“im good” said twilight as she teliported off in the distance then fell and made a lot better time than before clearing about 10 miles per second.

Right once twilight became exausted crossing the ocean she found a boat and teliported on it.”hello is anyone here?”asked twilight.

After exploring the ship she found out it was abandoned so she flew off and almost fainted from the air until she found land and glided to it being exausted from teliporting.

“how close am i rainbow?”asked twilight.

“not too far actually im right ahead of you. You see that bridge in the distance im under in in a secret door under the water.”thought rainbow.

“ok then ill be there in no time and ill get you out” said twilight as she lunged foward the bridge going full force into the water blowing open the doors and flying through.

She gets caught on tape and men with guns flood the room where water didnt seep through and fire at twilight. Twilight casts a simple levitation spell on the bullets and guns stoping them from shooting anymore and she flys over them going into the elevator that they came out of.

“im down on floor B10” though rainbow.

“okay” twilight said as she pushed the button that said B10.

The elevator slowely decends to floor B5 and then stops” quick get out of there twilight they are going to trap you here if you dont.” thought daring.

Twilight uses a spell to unhatch the elevator and lets it drop to floor B10 then stops it opening the doors and right next to them is  a room flooded with guys with stun guns all firing at her. She pushes all of them inthe elevator and teliports to the end of the hallway.

Shutting the doors of the elevator she drops it and walks into the only door in the room.”twilight dont kill the guy inside he has me in his mind just take him with us home and try to get us out.” said rainbow.

“okay” twilight replied as she burst open the door and snatched the dude who was inside teliporting all the way back to the portal instantly after with both of them in the magic.

“lyra. LYRA. Where are you. LYRA!!!” screamed twilight.

“im here” said lyra as she runs through the forest and streight through the portal followed by twilight carrying the guy through first.
