the spy

Shadow has just got out from the hospital and walking toward the castle. Spike is on his back with the dragonlines. Shadow wanted to investigate more about them , they were very rare on this side of equestria. He and spike made a compromise to investigate to the fullest those flower. Luckiy,  anypony hasn't seen shadow in his real form, apart of spike and a nurse, whom she hasn't told anypony about his real identity . both spike and him are happy Because there is a party going on twilight's but the only one who doesn't know for who was shadow. shadow still had injuries from the incident but he was more stable, meaning he could walk , but he needed rest, and a lot...

Hiding, lucy was spying on them, trying to find the courage to talk with him. she knew well her job and what she had to do. She had to gain his trust and befriend him, make him reveal his true form . She started flying above them, hiding each time shadow looked around.

"I hope we are close... my chest started hurting again..." shadow said, holding a hoof up to his chest. He knew well How bad his state is.

" are you sure you are ok to walk? you don't seem very well ." Spike asked, worried.

shadow sighs. He knew spike wasn't going to give up on letting him rest. Shadow nodded and looked around . Knowing nopony was in sight, or that what he though, lowered a cloud with his magic. He lays on the cloud and pushes himself toward the castle. He felt relieved , most of the pain has gone . being in a hospital bed wasn't that comfortable but not very uncomfortable but he knew something that he never knew: clouds were more comfortable than beds.

it took about 15 minutes to reach the castle. shadow sighs ,relieved to be back at the castle. At the instant he closed the front door, he climbed down from the cloud and walked to his room. Spike has climbed down from him and was following besides him.

"I wonder where is twilight..." shadow looked around the hall way. he entered at his room and he looked around amazed. Pinkie pie has prepared a welcome back party in.... like 2 hours. Before shadow left, pinkie had made questions about which flavor he liked, favorite color, what logo or something like that he liked, things pointing she was going to do a party

"SURPRISE" the mane six and spike shouted .shadow jumped a little, smiled and chuckled . He should had knew about the party by pinkie's... questions.

"Welcome back " spike concluded ,starting the party.

Just outside the castle, lucy was spying on shadow through the windows. She entered the castle quietly and flew up to the top of the hall, where she wouldn't be seen. She was afraid of getting caught inside a castle, more from a princess and even more if shadow was centreus.

"I will be right back" spike shouted ,walking out the room and walked toward the kitchen.

Lucy knew that spike knew something about centreus so she followed spike from above. when spike arrived to the kitchen , he grabs a ruby and stares at it.

"This is a nice ruby. I hope cen- "spike stopped talking as he saw lucy from the ruby. "Shadow likes it. " spike concluded as he ran to the room. Lucy knew what happened and followed him. She wanted to run but it was too late , the mane six were out of the room and looking at her. She gulped and backed up. Shadow got out the room and looked at lucy. His eyes narrowed and backed up a little. Twilight looked at her as lucy looked at twilight. Twilight eyes glowed green for a second as lucy relaxed a little, knowing that it was a changeling from her side.

"um... I have to go. Bye! " lucy flew out the window as Rd followed behind but lost her. Rd and the rest looked at shadow, whom has come out again.

" who was she" shadow said, trying to sound confused . Rarity looked at twilight and then at shadow.

"Um... can I talk to you in private shadow? " rarity asked ,shadow nods and limps to a room ,followed by rarity. The rest got in shadow's room .

" I think I saw it..." rarity said. Shadow didn't know of what she was talking about for a while. He realizes what it's about and looks at her.

"Then she is... an changeling... I knew this was a bad idea... " shadow grunted. Rarity looked confused

" what idea are you talking about?" Rarity asked. Shadow sighs and looked around. He closes the curtains from the window with his magic. Rarity looked amazed and suspicious.

"Have you heard about centreus? " Shadow said,looking away. Rarity nods and looks at him. "Tell me everything you know about him "

"Well... I know he kills everypony he sees in sight, ponynap fillies and foals and such horrible things... why? " rarity said.

Shadow sighs and looks at her" what I am about to show you is a secret. Don't tell anypony. Spike already knows but still... don't tell anything..." rarity nods.

Shadow starts glowing a little as he becomes his true form:centreus. Rarity stands there in awe .

"That pony you mentioned: a killer, a ponynapper, and those horrible things, isn't me. " centreus admitted.

"B-b-b-but... you..." rarity a was cut off by centreus claw, holding it up to her mouth .

"If I were a killer, tell me how you and your friends are here, alive, nopony got ponynapped or such things?" Centreus concluded

Rarity started to think. that question calmed her down a little because it was true. If he was a killer , why she was still alive. He wasn't a killer. He was just a pony that wanted a new life. she then calmed down ,knowing that what he was saying is true

"Ok.. you convinced me. " rarity said . "So if what you are saying is true about that fake twilight, where is the real one then?"

"Twilight said she was going to canterlot for a few weeks... if I'm not mistaken, she's still there... " centreus turned back to his shadow form

"So how do we know if it's a changeling?" Rarity questioned

" we dragon ponies are ....let's say changelings archenemy. I can sense if she's one by just bringing her in here. We bring her here, and tell if she's a changeling." Shadow looked around and limped out. Rarity following

"Twilight? " Shadow said. Twilight was starting at him "yep. She is a changeling"

"You will get caught, now that I know that you are him. Ryan will ge- " shadow has knocked out the fake twilight ,as it turns to a changeling. Shadow didn't waited anything and uses a memory spell on the changeling and teleports it away.

"now we know he was a spy. " Shadow concluded and limped to his room. Rarity looked at him and where the changeling was laying. now she was sure he wasn't a bad guy. She had had one question: why he didn't do any harm to the changeling?
