Five Nights, One Nightmare

A New Friend

The moment the Phantom appeared, all hell broke loose.

Rarity, as expected, shrieked and fainted, followed by Fluttershy 'Eep'ing and ducking under the table, trying to hide underneath it. Applejack was thrown into the wall by some unknown force, as was Clockwork and Rainbow Dash, Twilight's vision being blocked by the Puppet itself.

Said Phantom Puppet stared into the alicorn's eyes, its analyzing gaze piercing her mental barrier. Twilight could only keep still as the ghost examined her, most likely delving into her memories, before it stood up straight, and vanished, leaving five terrified ponies, and a confused animatronic to ponder on what the hell had happened.

"What... What was that?" The lavender alicorn asked, rubbing her suddenly sore eyes. Applejack pried herself from the hole in the wall, as did Rainbow Dash, Clockwork already back on his feet in an instant.

"The Puppet... He's much more active, oddly enough." The mechanical animatronic muttered to no one, or nopony, in particular, only he, once again, drew the attention of the mares in the room.

"The what's 'more active?' 'Oddly enough?!' What else is here to kill us?!" Rainbow shrieked, earning a neutral glare from Clockwork, who, for once in his abnormally long lifetime, rolled his eyes.

"If you have such a strong want to know of this, then you have, in total, a broken down prototype animatronic robot, the incinerated phantom of an intact Puppet, and the also incinerated phantoms of the mascots of the company's pizzerias, including 'Freddy Fazbear,' 'Chica the Chicken,' 'Foxy the Pirate Fox,' and 'Balloon Boy,'" the animatronic stated, hopefully not missing any other phantoms that might exist within the building.

The ponies within the room could feel as if their jaws had dropped, Fluttershy being an exception, as she was still trying to force herself further underneath the table, until Twilight pulled her out. "So we have six of those things to deal with?!" Screamed Rainbow Dash, once again, her repetitive speech starting to get to the mechanical pegasus, as it did the others, with Fluttershy, once again, being an exception.

Meanwhile.

As SpringTrap silently plucked the party hat off of his head, and set it on top of the stack of gift boxes in the corner of the hallway, Pinkie, too, got up, aiming to follow her new friend, unaware of the contents of the rooms that lay ahead of her.

"So, Springy! Where're we goin'?" She asked the decayed bot cheerily, who simply shrugged, both the equine and the animatronic wandering the halls of the building at random. Landing in a random room, which had an illuminated Foxy head stapled to the wall, an audio cue played at random, in a separate room.

Said audio cue captured SpringTrap's attention. Gesturing for his new companion to stay put, he wandered towards the sound, Pinkie understanding what he wanted her to do.

After a few minutes, Pinkie grew bored, choosing to examine the 'decor' tacked up all over the walls. "That's a cute little rabbit! Maybe Fluttershy'd know more about it!" The pink party pony said aloud to nopony in particular, listening for any response that might come to her.

Finding the silence being the only thing answering her, she went back to looking at the drawings, when a burst of loud static jolted her out of her thoughts. Turning towards the centre of the room, she was more than surprised to see a mangled animatronic hanging from the ceiling, looking like it had a second head, which lacked a casing for itself.

"... Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! What's your name?" She asked, the main head of the ceiling/wall-bound Mangle cocking itself slightly, as if asking why the question was asked.

"Because I want to know your name, silly!" She replied to the incoherent string of static. The mechanical mess tried to speak, but ended up spewing out more of an uncomprehendable mass of sound.

"Mangle! That sounds cool! I've never actually heard of a name like that, but that's a cool name, anyways!" She shouted over the noise, Mangle nodding in relief at the fact that someone managed to understand her for once. Taking in the fact that the pony before her could understand her form of communication, she spoke yet another line of static, the code '10-1' audible in the mess.

"10-1?' Do you need help fixing yourself?" Pinkie asked, earning yet another nod from Mangle, the other head looking like it pulled up the lower eyelid of its optic in a smile.

"Alrighty, then! One fixed up Mangle, coming up!" Without any warning, a toolbox popped into existence between the animatronic bound to the ceiling and the pony on the floor, an mechanic's outfit appearing on said pony, a wrench in her mouth, which she promptly spat out.

"Well? Let's get to work!" She exclaimed, carefully dismantling the misplaced body parts of the mangled Mangle, who flinched slightly at the faint pricks of pain.

Elsewhere.

Camera 05

Leaning into the field of view of the seemingly online camera, he tapped the lens, only for nothing to happen, in the slightest. Sighing to himself, he wandered to down the hall, making his way to the window of the office, where the equine newcomers were still trying to collect themselves. Slipping underneath the glass to the edge of the doorframe, he managed to slip to the other side, and peeked his head in, his ever-present smirk making him look... Rather... Odd.

None of the beings in the room knew of his presence, aside from Clockwork, with whom he was acquainted with as the decades went by. The mechanical equine just sat in the chair, staring at him, not making any movements.

Only when the yellow, winged pony approached him, shyly, did the others notice him, going ballistic, only for the pony that approached him to try and drag him away from the room, taking him through the vents. They barely got past the camera within, as the vent they were in was sealed, separating them from the rest of the group, cutting them off from the office.
