Five Nights, One Nightmare
Night 2's Final Hour (Edited)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe yellow equine shivered at the coldness of the vents, having never realized how low the temperature of the metal was. A deteriorated animatronic hand was placed on her neck, causing her to freeze in a crouched position. Glancing back, SpringTrap looked at her with a quizzical expression.
"... Oh, I-I'm sorry... I should p-probably get out of the w-way..." She whispered, though the words were loud enough that the animatronic behind her could hear them. SpringTrap nodded, and waited for several seconds, the pegasus crawling towards the ventilation grill.
Once Fluttershy pulled herself out of the vent, the animatronic rabbit trailing her followed suit. As SpringTrap dragged a jammed foot out of the space, the faint sound of static and giggling caught the Spring-Animatronic's attention, and without making any motions that'd most likely create a loud noise, he made his way to the source, the butter-yellow pegasus following close behind.
Meanwhile.
"WhereisheWhereisheWhereisheWhereishe?!" Twilight repeatedly said, cycling through the cameras like a madmare. The alicorn Princess would think that she'd catch the occasional stand of hair belonging to a rose-pink tail, only for that strand to be gone. While she did that, Clockwork was in the process of waking up Fitzgerald, the magic applied to him having neared its expiration.
"... Wake up, Fitzgerald. Your shift's almost--" the animatronic Pegasus began, only for the sound of the morning bells to ring throughout the building, the deteriorated Spring-Bonnie animatronic and essentially restored Mangle freezing in place, before looking around in confusion.
"What in tarnation was that?" The cowpony asked, Clockwork suddenly facehoofing at the fact that he forgot to explain the 12 PM - 6 AM factor to the equine newcomers. Turning away from Jeremy, who was just waking up, he quickly explained how the hours worked in terms of the night shift.
"That was the 6 AM alarm. Before you start shooting questions, a Night Guard's shift lasts from 12 AM to 6 AM, meaning that a Guard would be required to survive for six hours every day, with 30 a week, excluding overtime," Clockwork stated, keeping the usually question-spewing Twilight silent.
"The 'survive' part is there, because of the animatronics that would roam the building, only in this situation, there is only one that will usually cause harm. That's SpringTrap. The others, to put it simply, have the paranormal ability to disable either one or more of the building's systems. Ventilation is what they will always, 100% of the time, disable whenever those specific animatronics get to you," he finished, leaving the ponies to think about what they'd have to deal with.
"... Ugh... What..." Jeremy, who had just woken up, began, only to press himself against the wall in fear. Rainbow Dash noticed this, and, rather than try to coax him into getting up, simply grabbed him by the cuff of his shirt and yanked him into a standing position.
"Waking up yet, buddy?! 'Cuz you still have to-- Hey!" The cyan Pegasus was suddenly yanked out of the way, surrounded by a magenta aura. The pegasus was then jammed underneath the desk, as to prevent her from getting to the Security Guard. Jeremy witnessed this, becoming more than confused at this point.
He was then shaken out of his stupor when Twilight extended a hoof towards him, offering to help him up. "Um, sorry we got off on the wrong hoof. My name's Twilight. Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Equestria," she said, introducing herself. However, Jeremy just sat there, shocked.
"Er... Hi. I'm Jeremy Fitzgerald, uh F-Fazbear Fright Security Guard," he said, a hint of nervousness evidently present in his voice. The alicorn gave a(n), also nervous, smile, shaking hands/hooves with the Night Guard, who eyed the infuriated Rainbow Dash stuck beneath his desk.
"Nice to meet you, Jeremy. Um, would you happen to know where the exits to this place are?" Twilight asked nonchalantly, though appearing slightly on edge. Jeremy leaned forwards slightly so that he could see the exit door through the doorway, and pointed in that general direction.
"Th-The door is right there. There's o-one at the other side of the building, too." Fitzgerald stated, earning a 'Thank you' from the magenta alicorn, who then pulled Rainbow Dash out from under her space under the desk, and accompanied the others in locating their two friends.
Meanwhile.
The Mangle, now no longer as damaged as she was, previously, examined her replacement parts. The scorched parts of her endoskeleton, as well as what little had remained of her suit, had been placed in a corner, replacement parts and limbs having been used to essentially replaced her damaged components, one by one.
Turning to Pinkie Pie, she began yet another line of static, one of which the pink party pony also understood perfectly. "Your welcome! It's just a little something I did for a new friend!" Pinkie explained, answering Mangle's question. The animatronic asked another question, this one making the pony before her giggle as a result.
"The spare parts box, silly! There's a box with your name on it! Literally!" The equine said, and placing a large metal container on the floor, which was neatly sorted, the contents within being properly stacked atop one another. And, as Pinkie had stated, said box did have Mangle's name on it.
As Mangle took the time to go over her replacement parts, SpringTrap entered the room, glancing at the Foxy head once, and appeared to frown for a few seconds. Fluttershy followed him in, and immediately took notice of Pinkie Pie, who was finalizing the repairs by replacing the scorched metal bow tie on the mess of metal parts.
"P-Pinkie? Wh-What is that-t?" She whispered, though Pinkie Pie wasn't the only one hearing those specific words. The pony looked over to her pegasus companion, and smiled widely at her.
"Hey, Shy! You're here! I'd like you to meet my new friend, Mangle! She's really cool! And she speaks in static, too! Listen!" She explained, introducing the mangled animatronic fox that supposedly communicated with Pinkie via static.
'Hello, Fluttershy. Nice to meet you,' said Mangle, only what the yellow pegasus heard was a line of unreadable static. The pony shied away a bit, somewhat nervous about Mangle's presence. But as she backed up, SpringTrap gently stopped her, and nudged her forward, slightly, much to the equine pegasus' worry.
"U-Um... Nice to meet you, t-too?" She said quietly, earning a calming smile from both Pinkie and SpringTrap, as well as an unexpected hug from the ceiling bound animatronic. However, the moment Mangle rested her head on Fluttershy's shoulder, the four other ponies ran into the room, not one of them looking more or less enraged than the other at the two animatronics.
