Never Rest: Sweet Dreams

The door flashes outside the castle in all its glory. Again causing a giant shockwave knocking down several bystanders and blowing freshly piled trash back into the courtyards. Discord puts a claw on Luna’s shoulder. With a look of despair he snaps his finger and flashes her to some sort of strange room. In the center of this room is a large round stone table covered in moss. The stone looks old grey worn down. In the center is a beautiful sword. There are chairs that go around the entirety of the round stone table. The back of the chairs had unique symbols representing cutie marks.  Luna looks around confused and yells out for Discord.  The room itself is huge. The room is circular and represents the design of the coliseums in roam. Marble pillars going around in a large circular pattern. On top of each pillar is a circle of stone. The ceiling is made of stone. And continues with the round pattern. Placing a circle on top of a circle on top of a circle until you can’t see inside the structure or see out. In the darkness of the room that isn’t lit by torches lays a faint shadow of another sinister looking pony. Luna gets a warm friendly vibe from the pony and manages a smile. Suddenly the pony arises, and from out of the darkness comes a tall dark reddish pony. He has two large horns on the side of his head, large fang and instead of a fluffy tail and main he has fleshy like black loose skin. The tail comes to a point but looks very disturbing and flesh like.

“Hello Luna” The disfigured pony’s voice is deep and dark. Luna smiles at the pony and looks at his flank. It is a green meteor with a lightning bolt behind the right side of the meteor. Representing it streaking through space. “Hello Hellstorm how are things going on in hell?” She smiles and adjusts her wings. As she talks to Hellstorm in a happy tone. “I am doing fine sister I just finished talking to Tirek once again.” Hellstorm says to Luna as he stretches his back. You can see two large scars where he had his wings removed the remnants of feathers jutting from his upper back. One of his hooves had been cut off to. Both of his eyes are lifeless they are just dark pools of nothing. Those who stare into his eyes are overcome by emotion. They feel his pain and see his memories.

Hellfire once known as Prince Bright Lance was one of three Alicorn males who ruled over the entire lost Island. The land before Equestria was discovered. His job was to protect the island to keep harmony. Then his brother Silver Star was born. He resented having to train his brother. Then when his brother was just seven years of age. There was an attack from a centaur clan. He left his brother alone in the castle as it was ransacked. His seven year old brother would go through eighteen hours of pure hell, pain and agony. His parents, and his brother doing nothing to save him. For all they could do is watch as the castle was ignited and burned down. Not even the powers of the combined Elements of the Universe could stop the tribe of over charged Centaurs. When they found Silver Star he was soaked in blood from head to toe. Surrounded by corpses. However the Seven year old had not killed them all by him. For there was two others with him for a centaur renegade and his brother Scorpan, Scorpan being a gentlemen explained their oppression and wished nothing more than to be free from the centaur life. And they did what had to be done.

Later that day Galaxia and Cosmos stripped their eldest son of his wings and horn. And sent him to the depths of the world as punishment. He was never to talk or come in contact with the upper world again. Until there came a day he could grow up. However it was not him that would need to learn to grow up and learn lessons from the past. His brother would later resent his entire family for leaving him in the castle. He would be banished by his two sisters but not before tainting one of them leaving them to continue his revenge. He would be banished to the stars and never to return. However he vowed he would assist a great evil to come after a thousand years of banishment.  The third Alicorn brother to Cosmos would watch over Lance now known as Hellfire. And raise him to be his next reaper of souls.

“So how is Uncle is he well brother?” Luna says with a concerned tone as she looks around for another pony. Hellfire shakes his head. “He didn’t come today he sent me instead. He said Galaxia and Cosmos wanted to see me. I am going to be real honest Luna I didn’t want to come.” Hellfire looks down at his one hoof. Suddenly the sword in the stone flashes multitude of colors. From the center of the sword's hilt shines three colored beams. One dark as night, another a sunset orange and the last a beautiful shade of pink. Then the sword shoots a shock wave and three other Alicorns appear in the room. Two females and one male alicorn. One princess Celestia standing next to her mother Galaxia a tall female Alicorn that shimmers of stars and the sun. Her base color is a transparent white. Her hair is that of midnight with a hint of stars. Towards the top of her head it turns into a beautiful sunset. Her eyes are gorgeous beyond words the beautifulness ocean teal.  And next to her is a tall male Alicorn. His body that of space. His hair waves around do to his power he is also the tallest of the three. His chest pushed out his head held high he is everything a king alicorn would be imagined as. Atop his head is a crown his eyes bluest of blue. They turn and face Luna and Hellfire. Hellfire slinks back into the dark hiding his face. Luna looks up at her father who she hadn’t seen in over a thousand and three years.

“Nightmare moon.” The king opens breaks the silence his voice shakes the room however he is talking in a calm normal voice. Luna looks at her sister who looks down and backs up. Luna looks up at her father. “Your majesty I am no longer Ni…” Her father looks at her as she breathes slowly fighting back memories and heartache. He raises his eyebrows and leans down into her neck. “I’ve missed you Luna. You as well...Lance." Galaxia breaks her silence and walks over to Luna motioning Lance to come out into the light.

“Dearest Lance my little Woona.” Her voice is so calming it makes your heartache with joy and your mind wanting more. Her smile washes all your emotions away leaving you relaxed. Hellfire steps out into the light. Galaxia immediately takes a step back her face turning another shade of white. She looks over at Cosmos who at the moment has no emotion at all on his face. Galaxia takes a deep breath and walks forward and touches her boys face. “Dear Frost what have we done to you.” Galaxia says to her poor lance holding his head into her chest. Celestia takes a step forward and clears her throat. “Dearest family I realize it has been a long time since we have all been together. Now is not the time for visiting May we all take our seats and discuss the matter at hand.Hellfire sighs and pushes his mother away.

“Sister is right mother we can catch up as soon as this meeting is over with. Uncle wanted me to say he couldn't make it today. But wishes he could have so he could talk to Cosmos.” Everyone takes his or her seats according to their cutie marks. Glaxia sits in the chair marked with the image of the solar system. And Cosmos sits at a chair with the symbol of what looks like the entire universe. Luna the moon and celestia the sun, And Hellfire sits in his old chair with the image of a lance and a shield. They are dispersed in random locations. Galaxia is sitting next to her husband. However Luna is sitting far away from celestia who is closer to her mom than she is on the far right side of the long round table. Hellfire sits across from celestia on the opposite side. Luna sits alone and has three empty seats in front of her mom and dad on the far right side sitting close to Celestia. Luna looks around and frowns. From the original Alicorns only the Celestial bodies have survived their battles or have overcome their evils. The rest of the group seem to have lost their battles entirely. Six chairs sit vacant. Their marks vanished awaiting for a new Alicorn to take sit and for him or her to mark it as their own. Luna turns towards her sister who stands back up. All eyes are transfixed on Celestia. She clears her throat and looks at all the officials standing there judging her every move. She swallows hard and lets out a breath. “Hello everyone I know it has been a long year and we have been through a lot. I just want to bring one little subject up that calls for an emergency meeting.”

Celestia looks hard at her sister and frowns. Luna immediately gets nervous. A single bead of sweat rolls down her forehead. Celestia clears her throat and looks back at the family. “But a certain serpent like dragon has brought to my attention a problem. Luna has been not only talking but sleeping with it.” Everyone shifts and faces Luna who then reacts by turning a shade of violet red. Celestia's news startles her father who stands up and flashes out of the room. Her mother gets up and walks away from the table. Even her brother gets up slowly and walks away from Luna. As if Luna had caught some sort of flesh eating disease. Luna remains standing looking at her sister. Celestia clears her throat. “Ugh si....sister we all of us” Celestia looks around. “Need to tell you something.” Her father flashes back in with some old vintage reel film and projector and flashes in a projector screen. The screen folds down and he loads the film in the projector.  he turns and faces Luna.

“You watch these do not move do not speak do not breathe until they are finished. Celestia, Lance, Wife let us leave her alone.” Everyone flashes out but Luna who sits and watches the old film countdown from ten. Then the old film bursts to life. A black and white image of pony stands before the camera. It is a Pegasus holding a timestamp. It reads February 8th 1809. The image of the pony rises up and then back down and the film fixes itself putting him back in his original place.

“hello Luna my name is well you know me as the guard. I am actually your everything.” The film skips and is cut and edited jumping forward to another scene where the same pony is standing in a girl’s room. A smaller Luna and celestia run in running around the guard making the videos. He turns and laughs  another pony enters the room. His beard is long and white image of stars on his flank.

“Ehhehehe oh my colleague making those documentaries still? hehehah” The pony laughs Luna watching the films she suddenly gasps and holds her breath. A single tear forms and begins running down her cheeks. The pony leaves and the Guard pony turns back towards the camera. “Luna I am sorry but as you grow I will become. The pony turns towards the camera as the other one leaves.

"LUNA as you grow and become a lovely princess. I know that no matter what I will always love you as if you were my own."

The film shutters and stretches until an image of her sister appears. She looks into the camera "control test three hundred thousand and twenty.” She steps away from the camera to reveal the same pony in chains guards standing around him. Celestia gathers her magic and blasts him again causing him to fall to his knees.

“For the three hundred thousandth time how old are you!” Celestia yells at the Pegasus. The Pegasus stands breathing heavily “I will not tell I shall not tell and you can't make me tell!” He yells at celestia “Why do you keep torturing yourself just speak up!” Celestia yells as she blasts him again. The film shutters and distorts in front of Luna.

She watches as her sister tortures this Pegasus. “Because I can't tell I cant it won’t let me!” The Pegasus gasps for breath as he attempts to get up. Celestia looks at him confused angry upset. “Guards chain him up to the wall again I will return later.” One of the guards approaches the Princess.

“Madam I was just informed that we have found something in his possession. Related to the incidents at the mage tower.” The guard says to celestia as he hands her the item. “We had our highest mage check it out and he said that it was an object that Swirl was working on before ugh well the event horizon.” The guard walks away leaving Celestia with the item in hoof. The item in hoof is an amulet. Depicting the image of a great Alicorn its wings stretched and in the center a red ruby. She looks up at the camera. “I am sorry sister” The image disappears and the film smacks against itself, until it is stopped by her sister who is now behind her.

Luna turns to see her sister who is now day dreaming the rest of the events. The poor Pegasus being beaten burned and interrogated for days,weeks,months,and years. Celestia did not stop not even when he begged, cried, pleaded, or when he would go silent for long periods of time. Celestia was hell bent on getting the words out of his mouth. She just wanted to hear these words.

“I did it I made Luna change I made her insane.” Those words never touched the Pegasus’s lips. “Please sister stop why are you showing me this?” Luna pleads to her sister. Who replies in a calm reassuring voice. “Because I love you. And you need to know what this Pegasus can do. Keep watching Woona”. Celestia in the distorted dream zaps the Pegasus with her magic. The Pegasus’s eyes turn dark black and a devilish smile appears on his face.

“Princess Elizabeth Celest Aliona. I have watched you relentlessly beat me for the past 985 years. Every night before bed even you would destroy me.” His voice is distorted deep dark twisted and demented. Celestia is taken back for a second. Luna’s enters the dream completely appearing in front of the demonic Pegasus. She examines his features. She walks around him his face and body horribly disfigured. His wings without feathers, His face so badly mangled it is hard to tell what he even is. His eyes swollen his face black and blue. something clicks inside Luna’s mind. She takes  a step back and looks at her sister with a horrified expression. “Flare! Celestia is this.” Luna screams at her sister who is looking at Luna with a stern grown up expression.

“Yes sister this demon can not be trusted. He will not stop until we are all devoured until we are all dead sister!” Luna exits her sister’s daydream and looks for an exit Luna starts screaming for discord her sister casts a spell, which stiffens her up paralyzing her legs. “Luna I am sorry but yes this is the pony you have been having a relation with.” Luna moves her head and looks at her sister. “I am not scared of his actions. I to sister wished hell on our world once. I have changed. What I fear most sister is you!” Celestia takes a few steps back and releases her sister who falls to her knees. “You are afraid of me sister?” Celestia looks down at her hooves. “I just wanted to avenge you sister for what he had done to you!” Luna gets to her hooves and backs away from her sister. “But Tia you did it wrongly you blamed someone other than yourself. Sister it was you that changed me into Nightmare Moon. It wasn’t his fault. It was yours!”

Celestia’s eyes widen as she begins to remember all the horrible things she had done to her sister over the years. All because she was jealous she was even alive.

“Tia you blindly blamed someone else for your own mistakes. Because you knew they had faults they had things that made them look criminal. Tia I do not blame you for trying to make up an excuse for your mistake. I know it must have been hard on you to even realize what you had done was wrong. I know you were jealous of me and my power over the moon and how mother wood read me stories to put me to sleep because I had to skip the entire day so I could do my duties at night. Sister I know how we can put this to rest. How we can change Flare make him like Discord. You have to trust me sister let me spend one more night with him. Let me talk to him I know I can fix him I can repair his broken soul.” Celestia looks over at her sister and nods. “After all I have done to you sister how can I deny you love. Go to him but you have been warned his power. Unlike you sister he is losing control over his demon. And his demon is not as well... Lets say his demon is very genocidal and is not satisfied until cities burn.” Luna nods and bows to her sister. “I am aware of his power dearest sister Tia. I will not disappoint you."

Celestia smiles behind her eyes the event still plays. Flare looks into Celestia's eyes and simply steps out of his chains. Guards charge at him and turn to dust. The castle begins to rip apart as he continues to walk towards Celstia. Lightning strikes outside his eyes turn redder his snout becoming a dragon like .Celestia falls over shielding her face. The demon's front hooves turn I to claws and wrap around celestia's throat. Suddenly a purple flash of magic strikes Flare. A purple pony stands tall against this evil.

“Clover you have made a not so Clever mistake!" Flare hisses at Clover. Clover scowls and her horn ignites. Celestia remembers the amulet and uses her magic and throws it to Clover. She puts it on. Her eyes flash white as she looks at Flare and charges her horn. He stands there laughing to himself. "What are you going to do? Banish me?" Clover's fur begins to rip from her flesh as a ring of magic forms around her. With one last grunt she says the word. "Exactly!"

She releases her magic it hits Flare in the chest. The force of the magic destroys the castle and ultimately destroys Clover leaving a burnt mark of Clovers cutie mark. Celestia sits alone surrounded by ash and remains of a once grand castle. She stands and grabs up the medallion. Celestia stands emotionless. She is too upset to talk to think. She just stares at the charred cutie mark on the floor. Then the silence breaks. Luna’s voice echoes in her head.

"SISTER are you ok?” Celestia Celestia shakes Celestia shakes her head. "Yes sorry LuLu" Celestia looks up and teleports her sister back to Discord who is alone in another room with Fluttershy. The room is filled with bright white colors with yellow and orange highlights. It reminds you of a sunset. There are three birch wood couches with white cushions and red pillows on each corner of the arm rests. The couches are all around a small white table. On the table is a silver platter with small finger sandwiches and a pitcher of lemonade sits next to it around the pitcher is small crystal glasses. There is a large stain glass window that depicts the image of celestia. The room is filled with beautiful vibrant colors, as the light hits the window. Discord touches Luna and smiles she flashes in a white light and disappears materializing next to Flare in his bedroom.
