USS North CarolinaView OnlineBeaches of BloodUSS North Carolina "Hello?", I said to the creature. I was shocked at that moment. He wore a grayish shirt with a green backpack along with a green helmet. The thing he was holding was called a Gun. I learned about those later. "What are you!?" He exclaimed as he began to lower his Rifle. "Why I am just a pony." I answered. The man looked puzzled. "A pony? But how did you get here?". He didn't understand, and neither did I. I explained to him what happened and he seemed to understand. "How were you even able to control a portal?". "Oh just magic we ponies use." He was speechless. Before I could explore, a man with a officers cap looked straight at me. "What the hell is this?" He asked. The soldier explained to the man about me. "Well then, let me give you a tour..." That ship was huge! So much technology on that thing. You had pipes, steering devices, radar, screens, turrents, all of that! In Ponyville we have some stuff like it but mainly only pipes and steering devices. Other people stared at me as the man gave me a tour. "My name is General Bob." He said. "General, so you control the things here?" I asked. "Pretty much." My favorite part of the ship was the big guns. You had 5-inch cannons along with 20mm Machine Guns that could tear away at enemies. Boy, if only my friends could see this. After the tour, the General invited me to a meal and I got to know a few people. The men called theirselves "Americans". "We've been fighting this war for a year now, and we are glad someone like you could join." Explained the general. He asked me a whole bunch of stuff. Most of them were about Fighting, War, and technique. I knew a bit about fighting and Technique but I have never been in war. *Alert! Alert! Enemy Aircraft approaching the fleet, man positions!* "Aircraft!? What do they mean?" I asked. Men rushed all around me. Some climbed Into big cannons and some sat on a stool next to machine guns. Next thing I knew, my ears were pierced. Little flashes of light burst off of guns and into the sky. I had finally seen the objects then. They were Machines with two planes of metal on both sides, a tail with another, smaller two flaps at the end. The whole thing was painted White with a red circle in the middle. I had then just saw other ships that I have not even thought about. There were ships with other flying machines on them. Small ships, big ships, and regular ships about the size of this one. A man pulled me out of the way as the area where I was at leaped up as little objects from a Aircraft cause a line of holes. "All men inside, Now!" Yelled the general. About an hour had past when the firing died down. I went outside and saw crashed aircraft in the water, ships on fire. And dead men laying all over the floor. Some were even crying. The general approached me and said something I will never forget..."Lad, you have just witnessed war. And your going to be fighting in it."
TrainingView OnlineBeaches of BloodTraining The next day, the General and I discussed a few things. "Well then lad, you're going to training." I was so excited at the time, I think I may have started to faint. About an hour later, we arrived at a island. The Generald said it was a unhabitated island so it didn't really have a name. Most of the men on the shore eyed me and scratched their head wondering what I was. *Dong Dong Dong* "Ok men, it's 4 o'clock. Get ready for Training." There were two parts: First part was basic training, which let the Supervisor get and understanding of us. And then there was part two, which he chose what role we would play. Part 1 was brutal. Men crawled through the mud and under barbwires. When I began to crawl through, the guys up on top began shooting guns above our heads to imitate a battle. The noise nearly made me deaf. After the crawl-through, we had to run 3 miles. Most men passed out, and I had to stop every while and catch my breath. We finally stopped at 1 o'clock in the morning. "Alright men, I have decided your roles." I was ready. "James, Scott, John...you three will be with the machine guns." They cheered. "Bob, Evans, Jake, Bill, Robert, Gause, and Grace...you will be in the rifle corps." Everyone except Evans was happy. "Marcus, Adam, and Pony...you will be medics." A medic. I didn't want to be a medic but I didn't complain. The Supervisor told us what we would be to balance out number of units in battle. I mean, really, you don't want 60 riflemen and 100 medics. Those who were in different groups separated to different parts of the island. A cargo truck came and picked us up. I woke up at about 9 o'clock in the morning and reported to the Training area. The trainer there told us to call him 'Laddy'. Medic training was more interesting than I thought. The training area was huge. There was a small beach along with actors to portray a real war event. A Training building, and a agility course. First, we went to the training center. We did basic warm-ups at first. Me and the others did a 50-yard dash to calculate speed. Next, we would practice basic workout techniques to get our muscles working. Laddy had then gave us a new challenge. "Men, I have came up with a little game." Me and Adam exchanged looks. "I have set up mannequins with blood, guts, and all that in them." Marcus gave Laddy a disgusted look. "We will practice your medical needs there." Once we got there, we saw all the tools we would use. We had Radios, First-Aid kits, Needles, Bandages, and other stuff. We practiced regular sew-ups. With my hoofs, I found it rather hard. However, I managed to pull through. Me, Adam and Marcus completed that part fast. We then practiced knowing the tools. We examind tools, learned the parts, and then took a test. Adam and Marcus scored a Hundred. I scored a Ninety-Five. After that we went to the ability course. We ran up to the mannequin in a run to see how fast we could get to a Injured soldier. We did more running moves and other techniques. But then, we would head to the beach. The military gave us a landing craft. There would be me, Marcus, Adam, and other actors in the boat. When we got out. The actors on the beach shot out blanks. Our men acted as if they got hit. The sound nearly deafend me. I ran up too a guy a practiced on him. 1 down. Marcus and Adam went up the beach and got three more guys. 3 down. We continued for about another hour. At the end of the day, Laddy said he was pleased. Just then, a U-boat came to pick us up. I fell asleep as I saw the USS North Carolina approaching us.
A Whole New WorldView OnlineBeaches of BloodA Whole New World Some people ask me what was it like in that new Universe. I just look at them and say, 'Hell'. Other ponies don't quite get me. I'm different as you can say. I like Games, Singers, Books, etc. But I've always wanted to join the Military. Those flyers you see up on the walls of buildings make me wanna join so bad. Y'know, I never thought I would join. I normally find myself weak and unworthy. Heh. Well that was before I traveled. I work for a special place called "Pony-Net". It's like your typical everyday geek lab. Scientists working on medicines, others making machines, and me. I'm the "Tester". I test out machines that others are to scared to test. That's how I made it to the universe. My buddy James, had made a portal. And I was picked to test. I stepped into the Portal and heard sirens blaring. The whole portal was about to collapse for reasons, unknown. Boy, oh boy, did I run. A whole beam of light blinded me and my vision went dark. When I opened them, I saw clouds. When, I turned, I saw a creature staring at me, with something pointed at me.
Just a Small IslandView OnlineBeaches of BloodJust a Small Island When I awoke, I saw everyone was running. Something big was happening. I walked up to the general to see what was happening. "Trade that code now!" He yelled at a young boy who looked scared. I trotted up to him and asked what was happening. "Sir, what's happening!?" He looked down at me and began. "It appears we have found a Jap island just outside of us. We are getting ready to land." (Land!?). "What do you mean land?" I said. "We are gonna sens soldiers in the beaches and take it over, so get your ass down into the ship and get ready!" I ran with shock. I never knew he could be like that. As soon as I gathered my bags I was reported to go to the landing craft. Inside, it could house up to 12 soldiers. It also had a gunner on the back. As I stepped in I felt a shake. I looked up and saw the island coming towards us. It was Beggining. "30 Seconds!" Yelled the driver of the craft. As soon as he got those words out yellow lights started darting at us. I saw flashes come from the island. Men around me started to fall. One soldier fell on me, and when I looked at his face, but was torn apart. I screamed. Soon, things started to go still. I watched around me as I saw other landing craft get blown apart. Watching the soldiers on there get thrown into the air...burning. The whole seen was too much to take. I then threw myself over board. It was worse underwater, the whole water was red. A severed limb dropped beside me with a trail of blood following it. I got above the water and into the beach. I knew I had to do my job. As I galloped onto the beach, I saw soldiers with there chests ripped apart. I ran to one soldier and began to treat him. He was screaming "Mama!" At the top of his lungs. There was guts and blood pouring out of his side. I heard a loud thud and he closed his eyes. A explosion rocked the area around me. Men flung into the air and landed. Just then, a group of soldiers ran past me and took cover. The shots went straight Into the "Japs". Slowly, but surely, we were pushing up. I treated the wound of one soldier, than the other. A explosion shook the ground. I then saw a burst of flames erupt from a supposed fell tree. Men I. Different uniforms ran out of it burning alive. We pushed up. I watched as the mean around me (Some with rifles and some with machine guns) attacked. A Japs arm got ripped off when a rifleman shot it. I sat down and watched as they pushed them deeper into the jungle like terrain. I knew here, that this was what war was truly like.
