My first Mlp Fanfic. The story of my adventures in the famous world of Equestria.

This is the story of Flaremane, once a human he wakes up in Equestria. He finds that he is gifted with magic, particularly fire. Though like many gifts they can back fire. He doesn't recall he is an human and takes the form of a young foal. He travels through Equestria to remember who he is.

Time: 9:30 A.M., Location: A pond a few miles from Sweet Apple Acres

The sun beaded down upon the ground, the wind moved through the trees, underneath a tree laid a young Foal. He was a light brown, with a mane of red and orange, upon a closer look he was unicorn. The young Foal was snoozing off, until he heard a fish jump in a pond nearby. He yawned and looked about.

"Where am I?" he thought looking around, all he saw was the tree he was sleeping under and a pond in front of him. He Trotted up to the pond, and peered in, seeing his reflection. "Who and What Am I?" He thought as he made funny faces in the water. Then a fish jumped up in front of him, startling him onto his flank. Then he got a bit angry, then lifted a hoof only to find a magnificent surprise. A fire ball formed above him. He started to juggle it around , laughing and having fun until he tripped and the fire ball was sent hurling really far away. "I hope that doesn't hit Anypony." He Thought "Well first things first. Then the young Foal's stomach began to rumble. He looked about. "Must be something to eat nearby." He said to himself. He followed a trail nearby, the immediately stopped to smell something very delicious. He began to hurry down the path.

Meanwhile in Canterlot

The famed ruler of all Equestria, Princess Celestia stepped out onto one of her decks of her castle. "What a lovely day." she thought. Then an small shadow hovered over her, she looked up to see a large ball of fire heading straight at her. The two collide, and Celestia stood there her beauty covered in black soot. She coughed a small cloud of smoke. She got angry, "SOMEPONY IS GOING TO PAY!!!!!! she screamed. Guards rushed towards Celestia, bringing a strange mirror. "Show me who did this Mirror!" She said to the Mirror, it showed the young Foal. "Bring him to Canterlot, Alive! I will deal with this pest." She said to the guards. "Understood M'lady." They both said at the same time. The hurried out knowing to do this immediately or they face severe punishment, they sent out several platoons to find the Foal. "Soon....." said Celestia with an evil smile.

Back to the Foal

He reached a sign saying "Welcome to Sweet Apple Acres"

"Apples? Don't mind if I do." He said to himself. He arrived at the farm, there seem to be no pony around. He walked on, seeing an huge expanse of apple trees as far as the eye can see. The Foal licked his lips. He rushed to the closest tree. He saw they were too high up for him to grab by jumping. "Hmmmm.........." He said thinking out loud. Then he got an idea, and started to hit his head against the tree, yet no apples fell. He stepped back, "Well, that didn't work." he said to himself. He then kicked the tree, and an apple fell to the ground. He smiled, looked about making sure no one was around. He immediately chomped down on the apple, eating all of it in seconds. "You know that's stealing right?" came from a voice. It was a young orange filly with a cowboy hat. "Well sorry! I was hungry." the Foal said in a sarcastic tone. "You better be! Now pay me for that Apple!" the Filly said. "Nope, don't think so." The Foal said with a smile. He bolted as fast as his hooves could carry him. Several guards showed up, "Have you seen a Foal, ya size, brown with a fiery mane?" the Captain asked the Filly. "He ran that way!" she pointed her hoof in the direction the Foal was running. The Pegasus of the group scouted ahead at blinding speed while the rest ran as fast as they could. The Foal stopped half way into the acres of Apple trees, he started to catch his breath, he breathed heavily. "Man.....*huff* Gotta......*huff* Stop pushing.....*huff Myself" he said Then Swoosh! a blast of air moved passed him. He saw some sort of colored blur pass over head. "Stop there you childish Foal!" He heard from behind him, there was a group of Guards, all were Earth ponies. "Childish!?!? Hmph. We'll see about that." said the Foal with a smile, they surrounded him ready for whatever he was going to do. Then from behind came a swift blur, it was the only Pegasus guard that came, he hit the Foal from behind, knocking the Foal out. "Great distraction guys." the Pegasus said to his fellow guards. "Now to take him back to Canterlot. The Princess will decide his fate."

Notes:

I didn't know the term for more than one Pegasus, i'm still learning Mlp.

Second, I will have Flare's name introduced later, this kinda like his memory is wiped clean and don't remember who he is.

Somewhere in Canterlot, 4:00 P.M.

The young Foal awoke, his hooves chained. "I'm stuck......Hm..... not for long." He said to himself. He concentrated focusing, trying to make a fireball. A small warmth filled the room. He open his eyes, seeing a small ember. "Not happening." A voice said, the small ember flickered out. The chains lighted up, runes covered the chains. "What is this?" the Foal said, confused. "My students developed these, they are spell binding chains. They lock the pony's ability to use magic. Can't let you leave after what you did to my mane." The Voice said, stepping out from the behind the wall, was large beautiful Mare, she was a beautiful shade of white, her Mane was long and flowing colored with many light shade. Though she had soft purple eyes, they bear an fiery hate with and a weight of stone. She was clearly royalty. "What do you have to say for yourself?" She said, showing the piece of mane singed. "I'm sorry???" He said confused. "Who are you, and where am I? the Foal asked. "I am Princess Celestia, ruler of Equestria. You are within a special cell in my royal Palace. Designed specifically for magic using criminals." Celestia said with a cold stare. "Criminal? What have I done?" The Foal said in a startled tone. "First is assaulting royalty.." Celestia said but the Foal raised a hoof as a motion to stop. "Ok how have I done this? This is the first time I've seen you, how did I attack you?" the Foal asked, he was clearly confused. Celestia held up a mirror to him, whispered something to it, an image of the Foal appeared. It was him this morning. When he found out he can use magic. The large fireball was made, and tossed like it happened this morning. The image of the foal trotted off, then the mirror followed the ball up until it hit Celestia then the mirror went back to a normal mirror. "Proof of it." Celestia said in a smug tone. "Well sorry, didn't mean to hit you. I just randomly lobbed it and hope for the best." The Foal said his tone was slightly apologetic. "Next you stole." Celestia said. "Guilty, my stomach was to blame and I'm penniless." The Foal answered sheepishly. She returned a cold stare. "And lastly resisting arrest." She said. "Hey! I didn't fight any of those guards. Give me a break." The Foal said, thinking these charges were falsely placed......well the Assault and Resisting arrest any way. He dismissively shrugged. "So whats my punishment? He asked Celestia. "Either serve as a guard or attend Canterlot's magic school. "Ugh......hard work or School...." the Foal thought. " I choose......" he said, thinking about which to choose. "Magic school." Celestia said. "How did you know?" The Foal asked, he was puzzled. "Easy." Celestia said with a smile. "So young foal. What is your name?" Celestia asked him. His face showed confusion. "My....name?" The foal looked down "I....don't know...." He said in a low tone. "Well then, make one up." Celestia said with a smile. "One minute shes has the looks of killing me, next she is friendly. Issues much?" the Foal thought. "I heard that." Celestia said. "Ok.... since I can use fire, and and my mane here is bright......how about....." He sat there and thought. "Flaremane. Because your manes as bright as flares." Celestia teased. "Actually yeah. I like that. Flaremane it is." he said with a chuckle. "So.....you gonna get me down from here?" Flare said still locked in binds. "Well now that'll be dangerous." Celestia said. "You can't seem to gain control of your magic.....yet." she said as she motioned a young filly foreward. She handed the Princess a strange necklace, with red gems dotting it. They had an unnatural glow coming from them. "What is that?" Flare asked. "Its a necklace, we developed a way of locking up your massive power within, by inscribing magic runes on each pendent. They are not as strong as the ones on the bindings here. This is just to keep you fire from running amuck. Can't have a Foal like you burn down towns and forests now would we?" Celestia said with a tease. "Ok fine. Hurry up, these chains are cramping me up!" He said wiggling about, then the necklace was placed around his neck. He didn't feel a change. The bindings were removed, and Flare began to stretch. "Ok lead the way to the school." Flare said eager to start. "Schools over today." Celestia teased. "Well then. Where am I staying?" Flare asked "You will stay in your own house here in Canterlot. I have my carpenters and Architects already making it. And don't worry, it will be made of Marble and stone so you can't burn it down." Celestia said with a wink. Both exited the cell area, thus beginning Flaremane's adventures in Equestria.

Canterlot, 2 days later at 12:47 P.M.

Flaremane gazed with awe at his new house. It had a regal, yet strong feel. It's style matched the rest of Canterlot. He looked at it's regal halls, fitting royalty. "Why would she do something this fancy for me?" Flare thought to himself. He opened his bedroom. There was a large bed, dressers hand carved from various stones, and much more. The bed was made of a soft material. There on the bed was a note. Flaremane picked it up, and read to it.

It Read:

Dear, Flaremane

By the time you read this note, you will most likely be admiring the bed. We really had to special treat the wood and the blanket so you don't make it burst into flames during you sleep. Also I left some clothes for you. After school you will work evey last Bit it took to make this house and everything. You are to report to your studies tomorrow.

From, Celestia

P.S. Enjoy the outfits.

"What outfits?" Flaremane thought. He opened the drawer and found maid outfits. He blushed feeling embarrassed, and found another note with a picture of the closet. He opened the closet and found much fitting clothing for a Foal. "That Princess sure is weird." Flare thought. He sighed and gave a smile. "I wonder if there is a library here." he thought, eager to learn more of Equestria. The Library room was small, but contained books on about anything in Equestria, he poured through history tomes, Practice his grammer. After hours passed, he yawned. "Well it's about time for me to rest up. I have to start school tomorrow." Flare said to himself. He looked outside, the stars gleamed and the moon was elegant. "A view like this could make me much more of a Night Pony." he said with smile. He yawned, and his eyes drooped. He finally reached his bed, pulling the covers over him, and began to sleep, He dream of visions of fire, it consumed many things. He dreamed of him controlling it, Flaremane smiled while sleeping.
