Danger in Equestria

A young pegasus was getting ready for bed. It was ten o'clock at night so it was pitch black in the outskirts of the closest town. When the little pegasus was ready to crawl into her soft fluffy bed she heard a noise come from downstairs. Thinking it was just her father getting home from work as the head chef for the princess’s, she crawled into her bed and covered herself up. Before she could lay her head down on her pillow, a slow and soft hiss came from her fathers room. I wonder what that was? Better check it out. She thought as a muffled scream came from the room beside hers followed by a slashing sound and then another slow soft hiss. Getting out of her bed she flew over to where she had a small hole made for spying on what was going on in the room beside hers.

When she looked through the little hole in the wall she saw her father lying dead on the floor in a pool of blood with his throat slashed, head ripped open as a strange creature ripped out the skull of her father's dead body. Before the little pegasus could react the creature looked right at the hole in the wall and started to slither towards her. Reacting only on instinct she flew to her over to her closet, inside as she opened a small panel that her father had made in case of an emergency. The little pegasus slid into the small hole, and was about to cover it back up when she heard the creature bust through the wall. When the little pegasus was outside she started to fly towards the closest town. By my calculations Ponyville's the closest town. So if I can make it there I might be able... She didn't have time to finish her thought before she heard a loud crash. she look over her shoulder she saw the creature just bust through the wall in her room and was flying at scary fast speeds.

Oh horseapples! That creature's fast. The little pegasus thought as she sped up, thinking that if she could get to Ponyville she would be safe. Ponyville came into sight the little pegasus regrettably looked over her shoulder to see if the creature was still following her. When she did looked over her shoulder she saw that the creature seemed to have stopped chasing her, but when she looked back in front of her saw almost ran right into the creature while it held something in its claws. She stopped as hard as she could almost running right into its back. The creature slowly turned around and looked at her with his deadly black gaze. Thinking on her instinct she shot under the creature and flew the fastest she had ever flew in her whole life.

When she got into the lights of Ponyville’s streets her wings grew tired and closed up tight against her sides causing her to fall right into the center of a street light. Hearing the creature slithering up to her location she tried to move but her muscles didn't respond. The creature came up to where the little pegasus was at. It went and reached forward to grab her, but as its claws were exposed to the light they started to sizzle and steam. Causing it to retract its hands. It let out a long hiss as it slithered around the light trying to find a way to have a little bit more fun before the sun comes up. After a few seconds of this something sounded catching the creatures attention making it slither that way to see what it was.

The little pony took this as an opportunity to get inside, but the closest building that had any lights on was at least a few blocks away. When the creature was around the corner of a wall she took off running towards the building. When she was a few feet away from the creature she looked over her shoulder to see if the creature was following her, only to be greeted by a large set of fangs with a green substance dripping off them. A sight that not only made her run faster but a sight that will haunt her forever. By instinct she kicked some dirt up into its eyes blinding it. After seeing the sight that she just saw the little pony made it to the door of the building.

Oh thank Celestia that somepony is awake. She thought frantically as she started to pound and bang on the door. "Please anypony somepony open the door! Will somepony help me!" The scared pegasus looked over her shoulder to see the creature slowly slithering by a few yards away listening for its prey. "Help! Open the door! Please open the door!" She shouted just as the creature looked over towards her position slowly slithering towards her.

"Hello, who's there?" A lavender unicorn asked as she groggily opened the door revealing the the scared little pegasus. "Who are you? And why are you knocking on my door at this time of the night?"

"Oh please let me in! Please that creature over there killed my father and now its trying to kill me." The pegasus pointed over to the creature as it started to slither towards them at frightening speeds.

“What in Celestia is that?!" Twilight said now fully awake when she saw the creature merely three feet away and quickly closing the gap. the two got inside and closed the door and got to the stairs the door burst off its hinges, flying inwards. The creature slithered inside Twilight just froze unable to move. The creature turned its head and his gaze landed on Twilight as it started to slither over towards her its body steaming and sizzling, getting a hiss of pain from the creature before it let its wings out and flew through the roof of the library.

"What the hell was that?!" The little pegasus asked still terrified.

"I don't know." Twilight said. "But what I do know is that it apparently can't be in the light. So as long as we stay in a light source we should be safe." She said as she stood where she was standing doing some calculations in her head.
