The Man with the Hidden Past

Author's Note: I hope you enjoyed a little look through Rainbow Dash's eyes. I'll probably do it again.

Back to my point of view.

I was the one who woke up first. And I knew what I had to do about it. I took off my shirt and made sure Rainbow Dash was still in it. I then took some dirt and put it on the shirt.

"Hehe. She's gonna freak when she wakes up. Better thank me for just using dirt instead of actually doing it." I said as I dug up my bag. Man's gotta have some cloths on. I found a couple outfits and my Tuxedo.

"Eh, why not. I always liked to dress nice." I said as I took out the Tuxedo.

I quickly took of my pants and put on the other ones. I then looked in the bag and found a nice red tie. I set it on the side as I put on a white shirt. After the shirt I put on the tie and vest. I started to hear Rainbow wake up so I wen over to the wall and leaned on it to watch the show.

"AH!!! HELP! GET ME OUT OF THIS THING! EW! " I hear her scream. I quickly fell on the floor laughing my ass off.

"Ugh! Paul! You jerk! get me out of this thing!!" she yelled.

"So the fastest pony in Equestria can get out of a shirt with dirt on it? How lame." I said after my laughing fit. She stayed quiet for a bit after that. I heard a small rumble and saw her head poke out of some of the dirt.

"What's with the suit?" she asked me.

"It's a Tuxedo, and I have no idea. I just like to dress nice every once and a while. Why, ya like it?" I said standing up. After wipeing the dirt off my pants I walked over to the Tuxedo's jacket and put it on. My wings had ripped through all the cloths but the jacket. I tryed to push them through and couldn't.

"Damn. This must be stronger than my leather jacket. My wings cut right through it. Looks like I'll just get to Twilight's place by shadow."

"What do you mean 'by shadow'?" she ask. I sighed.

"I really hope most ponies woun't act like this when ever they hear me talk about what those flowers did. Ya know what? Fuck it. I'm finding that Zecora person and getting rid of this awesome power." I thought.

"Ugh. I'll just show you." I said as I stepped into a shadow. My Tuxedo and everything changed with me. I used the shadows to quickly appear right behind her. As I was materializing I grabbed her sides and made her jump.

"EEP! What the buck man?! What was that for?" she asked.

"You wanted to know what I ment. So I showed you. And do you know where I can find someone named Zecora? Apparently she can get rid of this power."

"Why would you want to do that?!" She asked with a look of shock on her face.

"You actually just did it before. One, It scares people. Two, I don't really need it. And three, people are gonna keep asking how I do it." I said counting it off with my fingers.

"Now then. I'll see you by Twilight's place. I'll unlock the door for you." I said before I stepped into the shadows again. I quickly went to Twilight's place and went in throw the shadows in the lock. Once on the other side, I stepped into the light and materialized and unlocked the door. After I unlocked the door Imade sure I wasn't see. Since Rainbow and I slept until around noon, everybody was either gone, or hiding somewhere from me. After scanning the room again, I stepped backinto the shadows and waited. After about two minutes of waiting, I heard Rainbow at the door.

"I told you I would unlock it. You don't need to knock." I said from the other side of the door.

"What's with your voice?"

"I don't know. It just does this when I'm a shadow. It's funny how it echoes.

"How is that funny? It's kinda creepy." she said looking around for me.

"Nah, that's what makes it funny! But now back to why we're here. You go wake up everyone and make them promise to be quiet. And don't wake up Twilight. She'll tell Celestia that I'm here and I don't really want to get blood on my suit." I said after stepping out of the shadows.

"Ok, will do!" She said before she went upstairs to get everybody. Once she was gone, I went over to the couch and noticed the Diamond Dog was gone.

"Must have eaither died, or ran away. Not my problem though. If he ran away though, he better hope he can get on my good side." I said to myself before sitting on the couch.

"Ugh. I still hate how short these are. Fuck it, I'm putting this thing on it's side." I said before I stood back up and set it so its right arm was on the floor. I then sat on the other arm.

"Eh, Better. I guess..."

Rainbow's point of view. *I told you I would probably do it again. I fucking love writing in Rainbow's perspective.*

I quickly went upstairs to go wake up everypony. I went to find Fluttershy first. "I wonder what her hair looks like now." I wondered. When I saw her the mane from about eye-level down was missing.

"Huh. Looks kinda funny." I said after I shook her away.

"Wh-what does?" she asked.

"Your hair. Paul said to say soemthing about it."

"Oh, you saw Paul too?" she ask.

"Hm? Yeah, listen. I need you to promise to be quiet. He wants to see everyone but Twilight. I guess he doesn't trust her enough to let her know he's here. You go wake up Pinkie and Rarity. I'll get AppleJack. But make sure to make them promise to be quiet. We don't to wake up Twilight by accident." I said.

"Ok, but why doesn't he want Twilight to know?" Fluttershy asked me.

"Something about not wanting to get blood on his suit." I answered as I walked off to find AppleJack. I found her in Twilight's room. She was curled up by the side of Twilights bed. She was snoring slightly.

"This is gonna be tough." I said before walking over to where AppleJack was. I sat there thinking for a couple minutes before I got an idea. I bent down and put my muzzle by her ear. Then I slowly blew into her ear. It look a couple tries and a few muffled noises from AppleJack before she woke up.

"What in tarnation? Why did ya'll wake me up Rainbow?" she asked after she woke up some more.

"Shh! Don't wake up Twilight!" I wispered. "Listen, I need you to promise to be quiet, ok?"

"Alright, Ah promise. Now can ya tell me what's goin' on?" she asked.

"Paul's here. He wants to see everyone."

"Paul? You mean that guy that want's ta kill us?" she asked with an eyebrow raised.

"No, the one who we ran away from yesterday." I said with a frown.

"So ah was right. And why doesn't he wanna see Twilight?"

"If your so curious, go ask him yourself. Fluttershy should have woken everpony else up and they're probably waiting for us." I said waking towards the door. I paused and looked back when I noticed she wasn't coming.

"Ya comin' or what?" I asked.

"Yeah, yeah. Ah'm comin'" she said before following me back downstairs.

Back to me. *I have no idea why I didn't just put this in another chapter.*

"This couch is seriously uncomfortable. Even when it's taller." I said to myself. After a couple minutes of waiting for Rainbow, I hears some hoofsteps coming form upstairs. I wasn't sure who it was so I left the couch on its side and stepped into a shadow. I noticed it was just Fluttershy.

"Yo, what's up Fluttershy? I said after I made sure Twilight wasn't around.

"N-nothing... Where are you anyway?" She asked looking around for me. I stepped out of the shadows and straightened my suit. I need to look nice sometimes ya know?

"Why are you wearing a suit? That is, if you don't mind me asking..." She said.

"Fluttershy, listen. Ask what you want, when you want. I will either answer you, or I'll just not speak. And I'm wearing this because I am. That's why." I said. I heared some more hoofsteps coming now.

"You wake up Twilight?" I quickly asked Fluttershy.

"No. Why?"

"Because, she's a... how to put this nicely... she's a bitch and will tell Celestia I'm here." I said.

"That was nice?" she asked.

"It was nicer than it should have been." I said looking down at Fluttershy. I heared the footsteps getting closer so I stepped back into the shadow until I knew who it was. It was Rarity and Pinkie. I decided to play a little game on the two. I quickly used the shadows to get behind them and materialized in between them. I then went and knelt down on one knee.

"Boo."

"AH!!!

I let out a small chuckle at my trick and went back into the shadows before they recovered. They turned only to see each other. I used their shadows to make Rarity's look like her mane was in an afro and Pinkie's mane look flat. When they noticed, Rarity lookd like she would faint and Pinkie looked like she was having fun making her shadow's hair move.

I just stood there wondering what the fuck Pinkie was doing. "Pinkie, what the hell are you doing?" I said making Rarity fall on her ass and Pinkie look for what made the voice.

"Pinkie, you are probably the most retarded and most entertaining to watch pony out of all six ponies I've met so far." I said after I stepped out of the shadow. "That lived anyway..." I muttered under my breath. I noticed Rarity hadn't fainted like I had expected. She was staring at me like I was some sort of movie star.

"Yo, Equestria to Rarity. Ya there drama queen?" I said waving my hand in front of her face.

"Hm? Oh, Paul! you said you didn't care how you looked! And yet here you are wearing a nice suit!" she said walking around me admiring my Tuxedo.

"First, I don't care how I look. Second, this is a Tuxedo. And third, do you know why none of you ran away from me on first sight?" I asked. This was starting to bother me. I'm pretty sure a guy that's a killer and wears suits isn't exactly the best thing to be around.

"No, darling. I can't say I know. So was that you that scared me and did that to my shadow? I would give you a strong talking to if you didn't look so ravishing in that suit of yours!"

"Oh, and go ahead and give me that, 'talking to'. I'm pretty sure I can tune you out before you even say anything." I said waving my hand at her as I waked past her toward Pinkie. She had her attention back on her shadow. I stepped behind to her and let my own shadow cover up hers. She turned around and laughed at me.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"I learned that when something is scary all you have to do is laugh and it will go away!" she said cheerfully. I just stood there like I just heard someone say something in some unknown language.

"What." was all I could manage after I understood how stupid what she said was.

"I learned that when some-" she said before I interuped her.

"No, no. I heard you. But that isn't how things work. When something is scary, there is two solutions I know of. Deal with it, or run away and be called a wuss. And because you just laughed at me, I'm scary. So are you going to deal with it? Or do I get to call you a wuss the rest of my life. And last I checked. Humans live longer than horses. So I can probably tell your children how much of a wuss you where this day." I said with a frown.

"I-I'll just deal with it." she said as she took a few steps away from me.

"Hey! That is not how you treat a lady!" Rarity said from over by Fluttershy.

"None of you are ladies though. You're ponies. Remember drama queen?"

She just gave a "Hump!" and walked away with her head in the air.

"Bitch." I muttered. I heard somemore footsteps and some wings. The sound of wings let me know Twilight wasn't coming, so I just went back over to the couch and sat on it again.

"Fucking couch. Why is this so uncomfortable?!" I said to myself.

"Fuck it. This thing is gone." I said as I picked up the couch and carried it to the door. I then took my jacket off and hung it up on a notch in the wall. I grabed the couch again and brought it outside. Once outside, I spread my wings and flew up in the air with the couch. I found a gaurd near the outskirts of town and flew above him. Once checking to make sure he was gonna stay there, I dropped the couch. I didn't stick around to see if it hit. I didn't have to. I heard a crunch and then the shattering of wood. Yep. It hit it's mark. Once I was back at Twilight's I was met by 4 pairs of eye's looking at me with curiousity and 1 pair with a look of anger.

"What." I asked AppleJack. Of couse she's the one with the angery look.

"Ya had Rainbow here wake me up just so ya could be late?" she asked me.

"Hm? Nah. I just had to go drop something off first."

"And what was it?" she asked.

"A really uncomfortable couch." I said as I went over to where the couch was and sat on the floor.

"Ah... Much better." I said after stretching out my legs. Rainbow flew over right next to me and sat to my right. Everyone else just stayed in from of me.

I noticed Rainbow playing with the edge of my wing. I gave it a light flap. Must have been a powerful little flap because it blew paper off Twilight's desk which was across the room. Rainbow started to blush because I had noticed. I gave a quick smirk and turned to everyone else.

"Now then. To why I am really here. Twilight has alerted Celestia about me. Though what I told that dog to say may have sounded like a threat, it actually wasn't. I was only going to be seeing you soon. I wanted to talk to each of you and find out why you didn't like me. But Rainbow over here," I said as I wrapped my wing around her," had cleared that up. And I noticed the dog went missing. What happened to him?"

"I patched him up and sent him on his way." Fluttershy said.

"Oh. Ok then. So. Now that Twilight isn't here to annoy me with endless questions... Any of you have any that you would like to ask?" I said looking at everyone in front of me. Pinie Pie was the only one who raised her hoof. I nodded my head at her.

"Why do you hate baking?" She asked. I sighed and gave my best answer.

"Because. It involves taking time to make something that woun't last long. And suger. Suger is probably something you will never want to see me eat. I will be more hyper than you." I said.

"Is that even possible?" AppleJack asked.

"Probably not. But you give me sugar and I will be. So, anyone else have a question?" I asked.

This time it was Rainbow.

"Why did you kill that manticore?" she ask.

"Y-you killed a manticore?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yes, I did. And I did it because it was eating my steak. Nobody eats my steak besides me." I said as I leaned back.

All the ponies exept Rainbow started to scoot back.

"Shit man, you guy's are scared of me now because I can eat meat? But yet you didn't run when you saw me here. You guys are either retarded or just plain confusing. And beside. I don't eat horse meat. I prefer certain meats. I ain't picky, but I'll find a way to get beef. I always do." I said with a smile. The thought of steak always does that. I felt Rainbow struggling in my wing. I looked at her and noticed my wing was almost constricting her.

"Oops. Sorry. I didn't notice it was doing that." I said as I unwraped the wing and tucked my wings in. I then stood up and grabbed my coat. I slipped into it and went back to where I was.

"So, anything else?" I asked after Rainbow stopped gasping for air. After a while, nobody had raised their hand so I figured they where done.

"Ok then. Well if that's all. I...need to find Celestia. I feel the need to make a certain Princess very mad." I said as I got up and walked to the door.

"How do ya expect tah git to Canterlot?" I heard AppleJack say.

"I'll walk. I could use some exersize. Killing things isn't exactly a challenge when most things here don't have the guts to kill. So yeah. I'll do some star gazing." I said as I put my hands in my pockets and leizurly walked out the door looking up at the sky.

Yeah, you can probably guess who I'm gonna meet on my walk. Still looking for suggestions too ya know.
