The Man with the Hidden Past

Me and Luna quickly exited the palace. Me taking the more destrucive route of just flying through a wall and Luna following.

"You could have just used a door you know." Luna said as she looked back on the wall that would need fixing.

"Yeah, but where's the fun in that? Besides. It's not like I felt it really." I lied. I definently felt it. I'm gonna get a pretty bad bruise later. "So. How exactly are we gonna fix Rainbow?"

"Rainbow's the one that needs help?"

"Uh... Yeah. Didn't I mention that? Oh well. From what I know, her leg was dislocated, her wing had a large piece of wood in it, and she's becoming a vampire. I think I fixed her leg, her wing could use some work, and I have no idea how to fix vampirism."

"Well, Lucky for you, I know how to fix all of those. Exept Vampirism must be cured on the Blessed's own will."

"So... she has to want to be normal for Vampirism to be cured. Welp. I'm either in for a beating, or a hug. Probably both when she figures out I'm the one that threw that stick. Ok. Let's just get this over with. I'll show ya where she is." I said as I thought this situation over. I put a little more force in my wings and lead Luna to where I made my little camp.

"What's that?" Luna asked as she spotted my unfinished summoning circle.

"That's uh... a Summoning Circle?" I said cautiously.

"What's it made of? Why is it red?"

"Um... It's best you don't find out." I simply put as we neared Rainbow. Who was awake.

"Flame you jerk! Why the buck did you knock me out?!" She screemed as she saw me.

"Because of what you're doing right now?" I said as I landed about 5 feet away from her. Wait. What's that in her hoof. Oh shit.

-THUD-

"OW! What the hell Rainbow? I threw a stick! Not a fucking rock! H-hey! Stop throwing fucking rocks at me!" I yelled as I dodged more and more rocks. Where did she get these anyway?!

< Fuck it. I'm outa here. Luna can fix this. I'm gonna go work on that circle thing. > I thought as I ran back over to my circle. I then remebered that the blood in the tree was gone.

"Yo Luna! I'ma go look for something. You got Rainbow?"

"Yeah, I think I do. She calmed down a bit after hitting you with some rocks."

"Yeah, that's nice. Come find me if you fix her before I come back." I said before rushing off into the nearby forest.

After a while. I got to thinking. Mostly those annoying 'What if' questions. Like, 'What if the girls figure out who I really am.' Or 'What if Rainbow stays a vampire.' Each question making me think of all the possibilties they could cause. My thought's got interupted when I got tangled up in a vine. I was aboutto just cut it in half with my mane when I felt it moving. I stood still as I felt it wrap around my neck. Once I felt it fall off the tree I started to feel it get tighter.

"Hehe, you think thay will do any- Ack!" I said before I couldn't breath anymore.

< Shoulda killed it while I had the chance. > I thought as the world around me got darker. When it was completely dark, I felt a sudden rushing sensation, like I was in a wind tunnel. Soon ,the world came back into veiw.

"Dah fuck?" I said as I got back up off the ground. I saw a snake trying to swallow a grey pony with a dull knife for a cutie mark.

"Ok.... I'm a ghost again. Time to go get another body!" I said with a crazy grin. One you should only find on a person that lost his mind. Of in which I did. It was being swallowed whole by a fucking snake. I was just a fucking spirit right now. After about 5 minutes of flying through trees looking for a body I would like, I heard this, really high pitched screem. I quickly ran over to the source and found Luna killing the snake. Not as grusome as I would have done it, but I guess turning a snake inside out is pretty brutal.

"Nice." I commented. I don't think she heard me. I walked up to her and saw she was crying.

"Naw... I couldn't have been that important. She has to have some other friends... Right?" I said as I took the scene in. I waved a hand in front of her face and she didn't show any reaction.

"Yoohoo... Ear- um... Equestria to Luna. Ya there?" I asked her. Still nothin'. "So... Would you mind if I took your body for a moment?" Still nothing. "I'll take that as a 'yes'." I said before I felt my body become a single flame. Tips, reaching up to the sky, as if they could burn them.

< Ha. Maybe someday. Just not any day when I'm alive. > I though as I felt myself go into Luna. I opened her eyes and saw her coat start to change colors.

"Shit. I kinda want to keep this disguise for now." I said in her voice. I quickly tryed to stop the transformation. I succeeded and watched as the color that had already appeared started to change back.

LET ME OUT OF HERE AT ONCE!

"Luna?" I asked as I looked around.

HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME. ARE YOU GOING THROUGH MY MEMORIES?!

"Uh... No. I just wanted to borrow your body until a get a new one. My last one kinda got eaten."

Flame? But how?

"You can call me by my real name you know."

< And she can read my thoughts! This is just like when I first got here... > I said as I sighed and put a hoof to my face. Well, Luna's face. But it's mine at the moment.

"We'll talk later. Right now I need to check on Rainbow."

I immediatly stopped. "Listen Luna. I don't like people interfereing with my life. You say anything about this, I swear, I will hang you."

"By first, making a noose. Then, puting your head through it. Then! Kicking the chair out from under you. And people will just think it's a suicide."

Oh really? And how will you force such things to happen?

"By being in your body like I am now."

Oh. I guess that means you do?

"You're starting to piss me off."

So I guess I'm right.

"-sigh- Fine. I like Rainbow. Now shut up so I can consentrate. But first, how I use magic?"

Clear you mind

"I can't. You're in it."

Oh, ha ha. Just do it the best you can. Ok, now do you feel the particles around and in you?

"Yeah..."

Ok, imagin them moving up into your horn. Now, see how your horn is lighting up?

"Well, technically, it's your horn, but yeah. I see it."

Ok, now let's try a simple levatation spell. Make those particles reach out and grab that rock over there.

So I did. I saw a dark purple radiate from the rock.

"So, why isn't there a trail connecting your horn to the rock?" I asked her.

The particles are actually controlled by your mind. If you make them form a bridge between your horn and the rock it should happen.

"Would it be a physical bridge? Or would something be able to pass through it." I asked her. It might come in handy sometime. Besides. Never hurts to ask. Sometimes.

No, sadly it isn't. The bridges can't materialize in the physical plain due to-

"I dunno and don't care why. I just wanted a 'yes' or 'no'. Now then, I need to get back to the circle from before. I kinda wanna finish it and try something.

Would it be possible?

"Probably not. That's why I said try. I still wanna see though. Now then. I hope you don't mind me gettingyour body a bit dirty. I need to go hunting."

"Oh now come on. You're in this head too.I shouldn't have to explain everything."

"Keep on searching."

I-I don't want to. It's kinda scary in here. It's all dark, and there's this really big castle in the distance.

"Huh. So you're in my head. Instead of me being in your head. I wonder why. Either way. Fly up in the air and see if you can find anything besides the Hellish area you're currently in."

I'm afraid to. I can't use magic in here and the clouds above me look acidic.

"Well, one second." I said before closing my eyes and clearing my mind of everything. Soon, I entered my mind. I looked down and saw that I was human again.

"Yes! I'm tired of being a pony!" I shouted as I stretched my wings

"So, you arn't actually Flame?" Luna asked as she looked me over.

"Took ya long enough. I thought you ponies would never figure it out. It's insulting how my disapearance is dismissed around here!"

"Hmm.. Yes, it is quite disturbing how ponies get over hings like that so easily."

"And why don't you?" I asked her. She always acted like she was a different species than ponies.

"Being as old as I am has let me acknoledge my differences. I am very different than the rest of my species. And being on the moon for a thousand years tends to make somepony a bit darker in mentality."

"Yeah, I can understand that! But you'll never reach the mental state of this." I said gesturing to the surrounding area.

"Probably not. And I certainly hope I don't!" Luna said with a small chuckle. I joined and it turned into a full on laughing fit. After a bit I just stopped. Suprising Luna.

"What." Luna asked. My smile suddenly started to get through and I burst into laughter again. This time Luna laughed a bit more cautously.

"Ah... Nothin'. I just do that sometimes. Kinda fun to see how long you can do it before laughing again. Now then. Who's gonna go get the blood. Me or you. You know how to use this body, and if I get it, it'm probably gonna get it messy. You choose."

"I'll just do it. It'll probably save theanimal from suffering..." Luna said. "But how do I get control?"

"I dunno. Just try to imagin being back in your body."

"How do I do that." Luna deadpanned.

"I dunno. Your problem." I said before making a TV and chair appear in front of me.

"You remind me somuch of Discord."

"Seems like my kinda guy." I said as I jumped on the chair and turned the TV on.

"Strange... This looks alot like the forest in front of your body. Wait, it is. Shit. You might wanna find out how to be in control soon." I warned.

"Why?"

"Because one of those wolves made of wood is about to kill ya."
