The Man with the Hidden Past

I WAS RIGHT! :D

The Protector Started to walk through the trees as the Betrayer followed but kept a wary eye on me. I did not like this creature. I began thinking of all the horrible ways my young will kill this creature. Or I could always insert my Drone into this creature and save my Queen for my intended host. I would need the Protector's approval first though. I do not want Protector to try and attack me. Though the two appear to be allies of some sort. I doubt Protector will approve. I'll need to insert my Drone in secret. I'll do it later. Protector is nearing my host.

"AND SECONDLY, IS IT REALLY MY FAULT THAT HUMANS ARE OMNIVOROUS?"

"YOU STILL COULD HAVE EATEN A SALAD!"

What exactly did I miss here? I could still see rage in their eyes, but my host's seemed a bit more mischievous.

"BITCH DIRE COSA?"

"What?"

"HA!"

This is strange. They appear to be arguing. But my host is laughing? Is this some sort of joke? Protector had left the protection of the shadows. I no longer feel as safe as I did before. I tightened my grip.

"Ack! H-hey! Loosen up there 'k? I still need to breath Snuggles." Protector said. I still could not understand but I could feel it struggle to breath. I loosened my tail slightly.

"Rising? Are you sure that thing is safe? It was just trying to choke you." The Betrayer said.

"Hollow. I already told you, if Snuggles was dangerous I would have already handled it. Now c'mon. The two we heard are right ahead."

"Alright... But I don't like that thing at all. It looks... Alien to this world. Like it's not even suppost to be here."

"Maybe. I guess we'll just find out later. Now hurry up and disguise yourself. I can almost see them."

"Whatever. I'll just be Spark Aura. 'K? I think I told you her story."

-Spark Aura:

"Yeah yeah... You've told me ALL their stories. Now shut up. We're here." The Protector said. I looked back to see a new creature there. But, the Betrayer was just there! What's going on?! Protector had brought me right up to my host! It was must taller and more menacing than I had thought from the safety of the shadows. I noticed that the two had stopped argueing a while ago as Protector, this new creature and I all came up to it. I know this would make a fine host. I unwrapped my tail from Protector's neck. My host noticed this. I could see his eyes twitch downward to see what the movement was.

"Celestia, We'll settle this later. We have guests." My soon-to-be-host said.

"WHAT?! You can't blow this off just because ponies have come to watch!"

"Oh really? You need to look at the big picture. Over think things at times. This simple gathering of two ponies and whatever is in the one's mane can spread. It starts with two. Then it becomes 4. Then 8. And on and on. Soon, the whole empire knows that you had a fit because a strange creature appeared instead of helping your bleeding out sister. Thinking. Ever heard of it? Now go take Luna to the hospital. And take Iron Will with you. I think he ran off to the hospital to go get drugs." Wow. I may not have understood that, but even I could tell that was kinda mean.

"Now, what is it that you two ponies and your pet needed?" my host said as it turned to us. It was huge! I began doubting my jumping abilities.

"Well, you see, our... 'pet' is a bit strange. We don't know what it is. I was wondering if you or the Princess knew?" Protector said.

"I'm probably not the one to ask for creatures of this world. Other ones, I might be your guy." Host said. I have a strange feeling about this... I don't think I should start a hive from it. I think this would be better as a Drone. It will be able to protect the Queen best. Betrayer shall have the Queen. Or, if I'm lucky, the white creature shall.

"Well, I don't think it's from this world. But Rising doesn't seem to care any. But I don't trust it one bit. I'd greatly appreciate it if you took it from him."

"Spark! I'll decide if it can take my friend or not!"

"Hey, I'm a 'he' thank you very much!" Host interupted

"I'm pretty sure it's more of a 'pet' than anything!"

Something snapped inside my brain. I could not take this. I needed a host. NOW! I looked around for the nearest host. It was that new creature. I leaped. The creature screamed. Protector reached out for me. The other two stood there. Host, was smiling. A wicked smile. It knew what was coming. I latched onto the creature. I wrapped my tail around it's neck as my legs grabbed it's face. I felt around for an opening. It had closed it's mouth tightly. I looked for another. I found two. I knew this must be it's nose. I quickly put both my proboscises into them. One, down the creature's trachea, and the other, down the creature's esophagus. I inserted the first egg I could. The Queen. As soon as I could though, My tail was pried off the creature's neck and my legs forced off it's face. I retracted my proboscises so they where not vulnerable. I squirmed to get free. The creature I had latched onto was laying on the ground. It was coughing to get it's breath and recover from the sudden shock. I began to feel sorry for the queen that will have to come out of that thing. So brittle and weak. But I have confidence that the Queen shall emerge strong. I looked back to see my captor. It was Host. It was still smiling.

"Well well well. Looks like we got a Queen Facehugger here. And it jumped your friend Spark over there. Better get your last words out Spark. You're gonna die." Host said. He was still smiling. He was looking forward to something.

"Wha-what?! What do you mean she's gonna die?!" Protector sounded worried. I do not like this.

"The queen had just put an embryo inside Spark. That embryo is gonna grow. And grow. And grow. At rapid speed. Eventually that embryo is gonna want out. Ya understand yet?"

Protector Shook his head up and down slowly. His eyes looked sad now. They were leaking some sort of liquid. Protector's chest was heaving up and down. I do not like this.

"HOWEVER, there is a way to save her. But we need to do it fast."

"A-anything! What ever it takes to save Hollow!" Protector said, Hope suddenly in it's eyes.

"Ah... So her name is Hollow, Eh? I could guess Spark wasn't her real name by the way you said it. Now, hurry up and cut her open."

"Wha... What?! Cut her open?! Wouldn't THAT kill her instead?!"

"Not if you do it right. Just make a quick stab, and I'll reach in and rip the little bastard out. Easy peasy. How hurry up and do it before it decides to do it for you."

Protector shook his head again. He walked over to the creature as Host followed. His skull protrusion glowed and the blue sharp object came off it's back and floated down.

"I'm sorry." Protector said before slipping the blade slightly into the creature. Host then walked over and reached down to the opening. It put the other one of it's appendages into the hole and slowly slid in.

"Hm... Can't. Seem. To find it." Host said. "Wait! I think I found it. And.... Here, we... Go!" Host said before yanking my Queen out of the creature. It was squealing from the sudden pulling. I pitied the Queen. It will not survive like this. It has not finished growing. It doesn't have the nutrition from it's host anymore. It shall die within hours.

"Here, wanna pet the beaut'?" Host asked Protector. I could not understand. But it sounded like and offer. Protector quickly shook his head, scared of what the Queen could do. Host shrugged his shoulders and dropped me. I was free again!

"Stay." Host said. I obeyed. A creature with such power isn't a good one to disobey. I watched as it put it's other appendage behind the Queen's fins and the other, to the Queen's ridge. I looked away.

All was quiet. I knew now, that starting a hive was now much harder to do. The Drone would have to go through many stages and troubles in order to become a Queen now that the old one is dead.

"Alright. Problem solved. Magic her up and we'll get a move on." Host said.

"'Magic her up'?"

"Yeah, you know. Do your magic thingy and fix her up. I need to get to Ponyville. So. What you name the facehugger again?"

"Snuggles."

"Seems fitting. Alright! C'mon Snuggles. I got plans for you." Host said. It reached down and grabbed me by the tail. I stayed as still as possible. I waited as he reached up and gently set me on it's head. Did it already trust me that much? And where was it taking me? Protector seemed to be staying behind and helping the new creature. I hope it catches up soon.
