Twilight was known as the Princess of the Afterlife. She wasn't too sure what that meant, but when Equestria's oldest resident besides the princesses, Granny Smith, passes, she is tasked with leading her soul to the Mulitverse, where she can roam freely.

After Twilight had figured out what her duties as a princess were, she grew fearful, because as her friends passed away, she would have to say her goodbyes as she cast them into the Multiverse, one by one.

She decides to make the last few days with each of them the best that she possibly can before she must say her final farewells.
