Her Past doesn't define her

"How stupid does she think I am? After the shit she put me through, what she put everyone through for years! She now has the gall to apologize and try to change her ways? I'm not buying that bullshit." Jet angrily thinks to himself as he approaches Sunset Shimmer, who was fixing the front entrance to Canterlot High along with Snips and Snails after last nights events. His hands formed into fists as he looks around to make sure not many people were around before he approaches her, "Sup bitch." Her reaction was a bit satisfying to Jet as she winced and slowly looks to him.

"H-Hi?" She whispers, somewhat afraid to speak her normal voice level as her two former goons slowly shrunk away outside and behind the wall.

He smirks as he stares Sunset down, after many years of pain and misery, its payback and he's intending to collect.

"You think you got people fooled? You think you have those girls fooled? Well think again Sunset, because I still remember. I STILL FUCKING REMEMBER!" He whispers hotly, his teeth clenched as he pokes her hard and making her press against the wall, "Please, i'm sorry about what happened before. I'm trying to change, honest!" She whimpers, almost as if she was about to cry.

Jet wasn't going to buy it, the anger clouding his judgement, "Ah shit..." he shakes his head chuckling, "You're sorry? You're sorry??" He grabs Sunsets jacket as he slams her to the wall, "YOU SAY YOU ARE FUCKING SORRY?!?!" Sunset started to tear up as Jets voice level escalated, "I HAVE A SISTER WHO IS GOING THROUGH THERAPY BECAUSE SHE ALMOST COMMITTED SUICIDE! ALL THANKS TO YOU! YOU FUCKING BITCH!" He slams her against the wall again as students started to crowd around them.

"Is there a problem here Mr. Radke?" He groans as Principal Celestia steps up behind him. "Let her go."

He lets her go as Sunset tries not to cry and the students immediately disperse. AppleJack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy quickly rush over as they protect Sunset. "What the hell is yer problem Jet!?" AppleJack yells as Rarity and Fluttershy try to calm their new friend and comfort her.

"Why do you have to be a big meanie?" Pinkie Pie asks as she puts on her sad face, but this doesn't faze Jet as he growls and walks away.

"You may have them fooled Sunset Shimmer, but I still remember... and I never forget!" He storms down the halls angrily, ignoring Principal Celestias calls for him.

At lunch Jet was sitting by himself, resentful, bitter and really upset. "Was I a bit too harsh on Sunset? If she was faking it I would've known... still she was known for being a good actress when it came to getting what she wanted. Plus she almost made my sister kill herself. I can never forgive her for that." He suddenly sees a shadow pass by him as he looks up to see Sunset Shimmer sitting next to him, "Holy shit... you must be really dumb or trying to press my buttons after what happened earlier. I am not buying your whole 'I changed act'." He looks around to see the other five girls sit at his table too. "Jesus Christ, fuck this." He gets up and was about to leave until Rainbow grabs his vest.

"Sit." She ordered, but Jet had other plans, "And what will you do if I don't?"

"Its not what I will do, its what AppleJack will do." Rainbow motions to AppleJack as she glares at him and motions him to sit down, he groans and sits down. "This is fucking bullshit, what do you girls want?"

Rarity, taking a bite out of her food, then wiping her face with a white handkerchief holds an outstretched hand to Sunset Shimmer, " I do believe an apology is in order, after what you did today it took us quite a while to get her out of the bathroom." Jet looks at Rarity before slamming his hands down on the table, surprising the girls and laughing, "Pftt hahahahahahahahaha! Hahahahaha NO!" He quickly changed moods as he picks up his tray and leaves. He turns back to the girls and looks directly at Sunset, "You never had to deal with a potential suicide, especially with a younger sibling. I'm not wasting my time on this... bitch." He walks away as Sunset buries her face in her arms and starts to cry, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie patting her back gently.

Sunset Shimmer

She never expected the first day to end with so much misery, Jet really tore into her emotionally and physically. Tired, mentally drained and afraid, afraid of his anger. She walks down the halls to her locker as the students whisper about her and turning their backs to her, still not trusting after last night. She sighs as she approaches her locker number and does enters her combo, hearing the click and opening it, she grabs her books for her homework tonight and sets out to go home. She sees Jet grabbing his books and leaving to the parking lot entrance, "Should I go speak to him again? What if he blows up in my face again like last time?" She wanted to stay away from but she want to prove to him she has changed and wanted to redeem herself to him. She decided she would do whatever it took to make it up to him for her past sins.

"Jet! Jet wait!" She sees Jet sigh as continues to walk away ignoring her."Jet please I want to talk!"

Jet stops and takes a few deep breaths, "The fuck do you want ?" His face twisted, full of anger, the way his eyes burned with hatred reminded Sunset of her previous self, all those years of hurt being thrown back at her. All through Jets eyes.

"I... I'm sorry for everything I did to you and your sister, I know its not enough but please believe me when I tell you that I truly am trying to change." She waits for Jets inevitable explosion of rage. Instead Jet grabs her wrist and makes her follow him to his Ford Mustang as he unlocks the car and opens the door to show who was waiting at the front seat, pointing at the girl now scared seeing the bully who tormented her in front of her. "Don't apologize to me, Apologize to my sister Sugar Sweet! You really have a lot of nerve bitch to be doing this now."

Sunset looks at her, and the guilt immediately washes over her, tears coming down her eyes as she sees the pain she put the poor girl through from freshman year to her junior year. "I'm sorry, i'm so sorry Sugar Sweet. I know you won't forgive me but please... please i'm asking you to know that I truly am changing myself. I know I was a bully, and so evil but I just... i'm so sorry."

Sugar Sweet had tears coming down her face as well as she gets out of the car, making her way to Sunset Shimmer and looks at her for a few minutes. Sunset didn't know what to do, as she wiped her eyes with her jacket she was immediately pulled into a tight hug as Sugar cried, "I forgive you Sunset! I forgive you." Sunset was stunned by the girls courage to forgive as she cries and hugs her tightly.

The five girls were watching from the entrance, all touched by what they saw. AppleJack heard sniffling as she looks to see Rainbow having tears flow down her face. "Are... Are you cryin' Rainbow?" Rainbows eyes widen as she quickly wipes her face, "N- No! I just... I got something in my eye!"

AppleJack laughs and hugs her friend.

Jet Radke

He was stunned, absolutely stunned. Here was his sister, embracing the girl who put her through so much torment, pain and misery for many years now embracing the bully Sunset Shimmer, who nearly made Sugar kill herself. His insides felt all twisted up as his emotions were at war with each other, he felt anger, sadness, sympathy, relief and yet none of it made sense to him. He though his sister would scream at Sunset, that would've been enough to enable him to push Sunset away. Now... he didn't know what to do as both girls hugged each other, crying and letting the pain go.

He looks away and walks a few cars away, holding himself steady as he felt sick, he stumbles to a light pole and breathes heavily. He looks around as he suddenly slams his fist into a light pole a few times, not caring about the pain as he hits it again and again, making a small dent and bruising his knuckles as he sits against the concrete frame and slides against it, finally breaking down as he starts to cry. Jet hiding his face with his unaffected left hand he cries silently, the confusion, the hurt and the pain finally opening up. Bottled up for so many years was slowly killing Jet on the inside as the girl who was the architect of said pain is now broken, changed and looking for forgiveness, has been forgiven by his little sister who meant the world to him.

After a few minutes of release, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes as he crushes the little mint ball in the filter portion, pulled out his lighter and lit the end portion. Taking an inhale, holding and letting it release, he thinks to himself,"So... if Sunset Shimmer really did change... then maybe I should change too."

He gets up and makes his way back to his car as he sees Sunset Shimmer and his sister smiling and laughing, as if they are already friends.

"I really appreciate you allowing me to be your friend Sugar." Sunset smiles warmly at her as she gave her a hug. "The feelings mutual Sunset, i'm glad you finally start to be nice to others instead of being mean and drive everyone apart. I'll see you soon new friend!" Sunset waves good bye as Sugar gets into the front seat and Jet gets into the car. He thinks for a moment as Sunset was walking away. "Hold on Sugar." Sugar watches her brother get up and walk to Sunset and stop her.

"Sunset?" Jet approaches her as Sunset stops and turns around, "I... I'm sorry too. For how I was acting. I wasn't mature in how to handle the new you and... I know you still have a lot to learn about friendship. Apparently i'm in need of lessons too... so... would you... want to be friends?"

Sunset smiles nervously then finally regains her confident composure, "Of course I will, do you forgive me for me being a pain in the ass for the past three years?" Jet laughs, "Of course I do. I hope we can start tomorrow off even better than today." They both nod in agreement and shake hands as they soon part ways. When he finally reaches his car he turns the ignition on and drives off. The drive home was silent, until Jet finally speaks up, "Sugar..." She looks at him, "Yes brother?" He reaches over with his free hand and holds hers, "Thank you. For showing me what it means to forgive." She smiles and interlocks her fingers with his as they both go home, happy and feeling they ended the day on good terms.
