The Challenges

Princess Twilight packed her stuff in her satchel bag as she prepared for Malumpere's challenges. She had a very serious yet distraught look upon her as she was reading a ton of books at the same time.

"Something wrong?" Spike asked.

"..... I'm trying to find any information on Malumpere and I'm coming up with nothing." Twilight answered,

"Not a single book I can find in this castle tells anything about him. Even the history books don't list Malumpere in any way shape or form."

"Guess you can't always get your answers from a book." Spike chuckled.

Twilight made a stern look at Spike but sighed and said,

"Maybe if I'm lucky Malumpere in a egotistical way will tell me something about him."

"That's a big IF. That jerk won't just share information with anypony." Spike said cross.

"He showed a movie of his 'greatest achievements in history' I think his ego is that gigantic." Twilight rebutted.

"Oh..... well that doesn't mean he will...." Spike said nervously.

"You still upset about what Malumpere called you?" The princess of friendship asked.

"How could you tell?" Spike asked and Twilight pointed to a world drawn on his head 'baby',

"Oh..... Wait how did that even get there?!"

Suddenly a giant dark ball formed in the middle of Twilight's new throne room showing Malumperes head,

"That would be me. I didn't want to repeat that lackluster name so I just drew it on there but very hard to remove ink. Enjoy! Also, meet me at these coordinates. Don't be late for your very important date."

Then the dark ball showed someplace in the Everfree Forest.

"Been a while since we've been there. Guess it's time to face this foe head on." The princess said proudly.

Spike however was trying to wipe off the ink on his head but to no avail.

Our heroes met up at the Everfree Forest, taking deep breaths they made their way in. They traversed the dark forest until they made their way to where they were supposed to meet. It was a plain empty field with some giant standing stones in a big circle with weird symbols on them. And right outside of them was Malumpere sitting on a chair having a..... tea party to himself. There was a very long table with all sorts of tea cups and tea dispensers and there was even a classical band playing some classical music.

"Ah, you've made it on time!" He shouted and then got out some weird cellular device which showed him the time,

"And not a moment too soon."

He then rapidly teleported to Applejack,

"By the way THIS is a phone. Just thought I'd show it to you since your such a technology free hillbilly."

Applejack growled at this but strained herself to not attack and he teleported back to his chair drinking tea.

"Ooooooh. I love tea parties!" Pinkie shouted and dashed to a chair and began to drink tea.

"I'd be wary though..... that's poisoned by the way." Malumpere noted which made Pinkie spit her tea out and wipe off any tea on her tongue,

"Kidding, kidding..... I haven't put the poison in yet."

"That's not funny!" Pinkie shouted but then said,

"But spit-takes are hilarious!"

She then drank more tea and did a spit-take which hit Malumpere in his face.

"I see you have the manners of a brain-dead monkey." He said clearly unamused.

"Um...... Monkeys are actually brain-dead their actually-" Fluttershy tried to say but was then interrupted by the villain.

"Excuse me... was I talking to YOU?!" He said getting very close to her face.

"U-u-u-u-u-u-......... No..." Fluttershy whimpered and backed off.

"For the love of f**king god! Grow a spine!" The god of Tartarus shouted.

Fluttershy however whimpered more and got tears in her eyes.

"This is why ponies walk over you. But no matter I'm not going to let this tea party get spoiled." Malumpere stated and went back to his seat,

"Have a seat. Enjoy the tea I made specifically for this occasion."

The element bearers were very wary but eventually they did sit down and drank the tea..... which was surprisingly delicious.

"See? You girls are so paranoid. Just because I'm a villain hell-bent on taking over doesn't mean I don't have manners of my own." Malumpere said with a devilish smile.

"I must admit..... this is quite delicious." Twilight noted drinking more tea.

"Indeed. It's absolutely divine. What kind of tea is this?" Rarity asked in curiosity.

"Oh... that's the best part." Malumpere said drinking more of the tea,

"It's made of the pure red blood of demons and ponies."

Everypony froze in place as the realization hit them..... they were drinking blood. They then promptly threw up in the nearest bushes.

"Oh come on. It's not bad..... it tastes like cherries." The evil human joked.

"That..... that is just horrible, repulsive, vile and disgusting! You sir, are a ruffian! You obviously have no way to treat a lady!" Rarity shouted in anger.

Malumpere however had a very calm look and stated,

"Bitch you just jealous that I'm more civilized than you considering your whinier than whine itself."

Rarity just stood there mouth agape. This.... being was outright insulting her and he didn't care one bit. He truly was the definition of rude.

"Look, jerk! I'm not gonna just stand here and let you actively make fun of my friends! Even if your the ruler of Tartarus I'm gonna kick  your flank!" Dash shouted.

Malumpere simply chuckled,

"Your going to try again? Even though you failed the first time? Your quite foolish and dense. I wonder how the Wonderbolts even picked you to be in their reserve. In fact I'm surprised they haven't kicked you out onto the side of the curve to fend for yourself without food or water."

Then at that moment Dash got really pissed off. More pissed off than she usually was,

"THAT'S IT!!!!! I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT I CAN DO!!!!!! I'LL SHOW YOU THAT I AM WORTHY TO BE IN THE WONDERBOLTS!!!!!"

She then flew right up into the sky and when she was high enough she flew back down at super speed. Malumpere noted this and prepared a counter-attack in his own mind. As Dash got closer a giant rainbow explosion happened behind her. She had just done her Sonic Rainboom and was charging straight towards Malumpere.

This'll show him!! I'll take him out and we won't even need to do any of his challenges! Dash thought to herself.

However when Dash was just close enough Malumpere stepped to the side and delivered a fatal kick to her back sending her flying into a tree breaking it.

"So that was the famous Rainboom. Even more incredible than I thought it would. Shame it's in the hooves of an incompetent jackass." The dark human insulted with that same smirk on his face.

Dash managed to get herself free of the tree feeling dazed.

"Now let me show you MY Sonic Rainboom." Malumpere announced and then took to the sky.

In fact he wasn't even aiming for the sky..... he left the planet's atmosphere until he couldn't even be seen.

"Wait, his own Rainboom? But it took me a lot of hard work to pull off a rainboom. How can he be able to do one?!" Dash shouted in confusion.

Suddenly a blink in the sky appeared and it was heading towards Dash. Then a giant explosion of a dark rainbow appeared behind the flash and rushed towards Dash. She was going to get out of the way but it was too fast for even her and it slammed right into her causing a giant dark rainboom which sent the other heroes flying away but Twilight managed to catch them all in a magical field.

"Dashie!!!" Pinkie shouted in shock.

When the dust cleared Malumpere was standing above Dash with his foot on her. Thankfully she wasn't dead but boy was she battered. In fact she was bleeding as that impact scrambled her organs and made cuts appear on her body.

"But-but how?" Dash asked weakly.

"One of my many impressive abilities. I can copy any ability I've seen perfectly. Only mine are more awesome and more powerful. Including a more awesome man behind the action." Malumpere gloated.

"Get off her!!!" Twilight shouted.

"Gladly." Malumpere said and lifted his foot..... and then kicked Dash to her friends causing more pain to her,

"Now do you see the basis of what your going up against?"

He then laughed maniacally and then he got a very demented creepy look as his smile got demonic and his eyes glowed red and when he spoke he had a very demonic voice,

"Taking me lightly will cost you your lives."

"Enough! We've come here at your request now what are your challenges?" Twilight asked sternly.

Malumpere's face returned to normal and he got a very monotone look,

"Mare only interested in the climax. You must be a real hit with the colts."

Twilight then blushed a bit in embarrassment but shook it off.

"Very well, those rocks over there are special. They carry magical powers. They can project images and even take us to holographic places. We will be using that in our challenges. A battle between the magic of friendship and the power of serenity. Rules are simple: we will fix the problem in our own special way. But to decide who goes first we each pull straws and whoever's ideals fixes the problem gets a point. Whoever has the most points wins. We'll go with three because I don't want it to go very long." The dark being explained.

"Alright, we'll accept ya'll challenge." Applejack answered.

"Very well." Malumpere nodded.

"Fluttershy, you take care of Dash." Twilight said in concern.

"I'll take good care of her, Twilight." Fluttershy nodded and started tending to Dash's wounds.

"Now, we shall begin with a simple issue." Malumpere started and then snapped his fingers.

The symbols on the stones started to glow and a magical aura appeared above the stones. Then that aura projected images of a small colt being picked on by two other colts.

"A simple case of bullying. The poor child hasn't earned his cutie mark and these two are picking on him because of that. It actually brings a tear to my eye." Malumpere said as a tear tried to get out but was quickly sucked back into his socket,

"Alright, now to pull straws."

He then conjured up some straws and held them out in his hand.

"Mares first my dear." Malumpere offered politely.

Twilight was skeptical but then decided to draw a straw. It was medium sized.

"Ah, that's a good draw. Now let's see what I get." Malumpere said and drew a straw. It was a very short straw,

"Damn it all. Fine go ahead and work your magic."

"With pleasure." Twilight nodded and trotted towards the holographic ponies.

Suddenly the entire events started to fast forward.

Suddenly Malumpere appeared in front of the screen,

"So sorry, not really. Due to this being a waste of time I have decided to fast forward these events to not waste the time of the reader. Enjoy."

Malumpere then disappeared and the events stopped fast-forwarding.

"Hey, that wasn't nice to fast forward just like that." Pinkie commented.

"You actually saw that? Oh wait, your you. You don't make any sense. But I'll just say that I guess you won that first round. But now for the second challenge." Malumpere said and snapped his fingers.

The same aura enveloped our heroes and Malumpere and they were suddenly in Ponyville and it was being attacked by some giant monster.

"Ah, the lovely colossus. Observe as it tries to destroy your town. Now let's see what you usually do to fix the problem." The dark being commented and hung back leaning on a lamp pole. Twilight was a little worried as with only four of them their rainbow power wouldn't be as effective. But they would have to try.

"Alright girls, let's stop this monster!" Twilight shouted.

"Right." The other mares said.

Twilight concentrated very hard as she focused her magic. A rainbow aura surrounded them and they transformed into their rainbow forms. They then prepared a giant rainbow beam to fire at the monster.

"Hmmm. Interesting power. I'll have to take note of this." Malumpere said to himself making a mental note.

The element bearers finally finished charging their rainbow beam and fired it at the colossus as it circled around the monster and engulfed it. But to a shock it didn't work, it seemed to weaken it, but it still was there and now it was coming towards them and slowly swung it's club towards our heroes as they were knocked out of their rainbow forms.

"Relying on deus ex machinas to win your battles? Somepony's lazy as f**k." Malumpere joked,

"Now, stand aside. You shall see what tricks I have up my sleeves."

He then calmly strutted towards the colossus.

"Hey, big guy! I got five words for you! I'm. Gonna. Kick. Your. Ass!" He taunted.

"He's more confident than Dash. That monster's twice his size and he thinks he can take it on." AJ said surprised.

The monster growled at Malumpere who simply cracked his knuckles and made a few air punches.

Then a dark aura formed in his hands and it turned into a katana blade,

"Let's get this started."

The colossi growled and then prepared to slam its club towards Malumpere. When it got close he simply used his katana to block it and then quickly cut it into a million pieces and subsequently cut the monster as its blood dripped to the ground.

"Hey, monster! Who the hell do you think I am? I'll tell you who, I'm Malumpere, your destruction!" He shouted with a cocky grin.

Malumpere then started running up the giants leg slashing away making more blood bleed out. He then began to fire dark magic blasts which caused massive damange and sent it down to the ground. The ruler of Tartarus then jumped high into the sky and surrounded the blade of his katana in dark magic. It became bigger in a dark aura as he stabbed the blade into the creatures heart and then it started to absorb the creature until it was no more. He then twirled his blade around a bit before making it disappear.

"And that my dear comrades is what the power of serenity can do. When you follow my way with pride and wrath you empower yourself, make yourself stronger! Plus, it's more effective than your deus ex machinas you pull out of your asses."

He turned around and saw that Twilight and her pals got covered in its blood.

"Oops. My bad." Malumpere said but still smirked.

Then Ponyville disappeared and they were back by the stones and in the forest.

"Well there's only one challenge left and it's going to be quite a difficult task to do." Malumpere stated.

The element bearers however still had their mouth agapes. He was so powerful. He easily took down the monster with only a sword and dark magic. If this wasn't his true power..... then the thought of what he could actually do at full strength terrified them. Twilight managed to shake herself back to reality,

"Whatever it is, we're ready for it."

"Heh. Very well." Malumpere smirked, snapped his fingers and the rocks transported them to somewhere very old like. It looked like a wasteland. The element bearers looked around and found two large groups on opposite sides of the wasteland. On one was a side of ponies in old looking armor and on the other were griffons.

"What is this place?" Twilight asked.

"It's so old. Almost like something out of a history book." Rarity commented.

"You'd be surprised.... this is a historical place. Here a great battle was fought and tons of lives were lost." Malumpere explained.

"Lives lost?" Applejack asked worried.

"Wait a minute.... I remember this place!" Pinkie shouted.

"Oh you should. Because this is the place where the final battle of the great Pony and Griffon war took place! The big part, we are going to act as peacekeepers!" Malumpere shouted.

The air grew tense as our heroes looked upon both groups as this would definitely be the toughest challenge they've ever faced. If was up to them to prevent the lives of those lost many years ago.
